Author's note: This chapter is different. Instead of bringing in a new caretaker, it shows how would their caring for Naruto change some canon situations. Here are five short one-shots. Can you tell which caretaker caused each one? Solutions are at the end.

Gender surprise

"By the way," said Haku as he walked away from the clearing where he had talked with the Konoha ninja, "I'm a boy." Now let's watch the reaction. It should be amusing.

"Really?" the blond girl in orange dress beamed. "That's wonderful! I'm a boy too!" Haku dropped his basket.

What kind of book?

"I am a famous author, I'm working on a novel," Jiraiya boasted, showing the orange book.

"Oh!" Naruto exclaimed in recognition, his face brightening. Jiraiya perked up too. He always got an ego boost when people appreciated his work. "So you wrote the reading primer!" Jiraiya's face fell.

"...what?"

Revenge

"...and after Fugaku saw the devastation in his house, he decided to take over Konoha to get satisfaction for the insult. And Itachi never realized that the whole coup was caused by his decision to bring Naruto home with him," Tobi concluded his explanation on the real reason of the Uchiha clan massacre.

"So it's all the dobe's fault," Sasuke summed it up. "I'm going to kill Naruto!"

Scary

"Are you even trying to scare us?" Naruto questioned, much to everybody's surprise. Especially Zabuza's. That was the first time anybody, much less a genin, was completely unaffected by his presence. "You get points for dramatic entrance, but after that, it's complete fail. That wraps around your face make you look mysterious, but you can't show a creepy smile with them on. And without a creepy smile, how do you want to scare anyone? And how do you plan to lick blood off your blade? That's a must if you want to be creepy. Just look – Sakura's shaking a bit, but that's all. Nobody pissed their pants, so your attempt at scariness is a complete fail. You get an F." By this time Kakashi wanted to strangle his student to shut him up, but he didn't dare to take his eye from the Kiri nukenin. He made a mental note to wring his student's neck once this was over.

"So you say I'm nor scary enough," Zabuza growled menacingly. "What about now?" The area was flooded with mist and killing intent. Tazuna gulped and a wet spot appeared on his pants.

"Well," Naruto shrugged, still sounding completely unconcerned, "You managed to scare a civilian, so I guess it's an improvement. But I still can't see your creepy smile. I give you a C-."

Demon?

"Do you want to know why everybody hates you?" Mizuki asked, sneering.

"That's because I have the Kyuubi sealed in me," Naruto answered in a bored tone.

"Yes!" the traitorous Academy teacher exclaimed before realizing something was wrong. His triumphant smirk quickly disappeared from his face. "No! You're the Kyuubi!"

"No, I'm merely its vessel," Naruto said, using the same tone Mizuki had used on him whenever the boy couldn't understand a lesson.

"No, you're the Kyuubi!" Mizuki screamed desperately. This wasn't going as he had planned. "And you were supposed to be shocked!" Naruto just sighed in exasperation.

"You're an idiot."
