Pokémon: Destiny Relic Hunters

4: A Startling Debut in Nimbasa

The four humans and two Pokémon, actually three Pokémon now that Meloetta decided to tag along outside her Poké Ball, were finally coming close to Nimbasa City without any sort of trouble like the trio normally run into.

Seeing as they had some more to travel, and they hadn't had break for a while with the good amount of distance they've gotten in, it was a nice time to have one in a quiet part on Route 5 after it was found. Ash took this as an opportunity to do some training for his future coming challenges.

His Unfezant was in the air and went into a Double Team attack, creating a number of decoys to confuse her sparring partner, who was Meloetta in Aria form.

"Okay, Meloetta, Thunder, right now!"

Ash's order got the Dual type to unleash the Electric attack on a single target, which disappeared after it went through the illusion. Seconds later the others did the same on their own after a couple more were hit. The real Unfezant used Air Cutter, sending streams of X shaped blades at the Melody Pokémon.

On her own she reacts by clapping her paddle like hands together, eyes glowing light blue, creating a green barrier around her. The blades struck and made not even a scratch, to which it surprised everyone that saw it.

"Meloetta knows Thunder?" Iris asks in surprise. Meloetta was not much seen in battles, and most off she helped Ash to train the others for the Unova League. Neither she nor Cilan were around at the time when it came to the young man's night training, so there were probably things they missed, like what was found out moments ago.

The three sat on a set up blanket to have their tea and biscuits on, Pikachu and Axew enjoying a bowl of their own of the latter.

"Goes to show what you know about anything, Dragon Girl." Georgia calmly said, taking a sip from her cup shortly after. Her eyes were closed so she didn't see the glare from the purple haired girl.

Unfezant flew for a bit, then uses Aerial Ace when the barrier came down, going straight for Meloetta at tremendous speed with a white outline.

"Let's give Psychic a try!"

With both arms out at front, her eyes glow light blue once again, allowing psychic energy to be unleashed that brought the Flying type to a halt just a couple feet from her by the blue outline that surrounds the bird's body, proof that the attack is in affect.

Ash nods at the accomplishment on how developed Meloetta has become with her attacks. At first he didn't want to get her involved in official battles, but the Melody Pokémon convinced him that she wanted to get more involved aside from training.

"Okay, Meloetta, you can stop now. Let Unfezant go."

The Aria formed Pokémon kindly lowers said flier to the ground first before doing so, having Unfezant on her feet instead of being impolite and just unexpectedly drop her. After she did that, Meloetta hopes there was more training to do.

Iris took a bite out of her biscuit while Cilan said to the two. "That match we saw with Marshal and Shin must've inspired Ash more to get more involved in training for the challenge. Even Meloetta is getting into it with the display in skills she's shown."

Georgia follows after, her eyes on Ash as he instructs the two Pokémon on a new plan to train with, cup in both hands. "That and Meloetta practically begged to be a part of this. I wonder what moves she knows if you two don't even know."

Cilan puts his half finished cup down, eyes not wanting to miss out on what they all were observing. "Well, we know Meloetta knows Relic Song to change into Pirouette form, Close Combat, Hyper Voice, Psychic and Protect…" He counts off each attack on his fingers as he names them. "Then there is the night training Ash had done to prepare for the league while Iris and I were asleep, so we may have missed out on things if Ash hadn't told us what exactly went on those nights, like Thunder from earlier."

"So in other words, you haven't the foggiest on what attacks she might know aside from what you named, right?" Georgia clarifies, a brow raised to the young man.

Cilan scratches the side of his head. "Well, since she is a Psychic type in Aria form, a Fighting type in Pirouette form, plus a Normal type as part of both, I would assume she might hold a number of moves in those categories."

Georgia blinks for what she recalls earlier. "But Thunder is an Electric type move…" Her point made the green haired connoisseur think on his next words, some of them came out in a stammer.

Iris saw what it was doing to her friend and decides to put a stop to it. "Hey, the point is there are attacks that we don't know Meloetta has. But then that's one reason why Ash is training with her right now."

The Dragon Buster gives Iris an unconvinced look, unsure if that was indeed the reason. Iris then makes it clear by asking the person that surely has the answer. "Ash! Why are you using Meloetta today for training?" It was tricky to tell if the raised volume in her voice was intentional so it would affect her hearing, but Georgia lets it slide just this once.

The Trainer looks in their direction then replies. "I was making my choice when Meloetta practically got in my face and requested to join in. I didn't see any problem with it since it would be a good way to remind myself on what she can do!"

Iris tilts her head, not knowing about the first bit until now. Cilan thought it to be a little funny that Meloetta didn't leave Ash much of a choice for himself to choose. Since it was now out of the way, Georgia didn't think much of it with the way she drank what was left. Pikachu and Axew just ate peacefully and brought up an occasional conversation here and there, only to pay attention when Meloetta and Unfezant went back to train.

Nimbasa City

In the sweet hotel apartment of Elesa, Nimbasa Cities Gym Leader, the beautiful model was putting on her clothes for the day after a relaxing shower to get rid of the sweat she gained from the exercise she returned from. While getting ready she was talking to her best friend and fellow Gym Leader, Skyla.

"I'm not going to do it and you're not persuading me otherwise." The now black haired woman said, putting on a red shoe whilst sitting on her neatly made bed suited for two people that had a couple pillows and a yellow quilt. {To save description, she is wearing her attire from the Black/White 2 game, minus a less puffy version of her coat and the 01 version of her headband for now.}

Her bedroom was a single, yet spacious for her to move about in, like the short distance to the window behind her with open, yellow curtains. A wardrobe and chest of drawers stood at the end wall in front of her along with a life size mirror in between. On her right near the open door were two desks, one a make up table that has a mirror on a stand, and the other for working on, the latter having a closed laptop on one end and an active videophone on the other. On the right of the bed was a nightstand that held a lamp on top and a drawer underneath, including a space that held a photo album and a couple books.

On the screen of the videophone was the image of her amused friend, who has a big smile and a brow raised, not intending to stop what she started. "Oh really, then what are you going to do when he comes to Nimbasa, Elesa, hmm? Afraid you're going to burst at the sight of him and embarrass yourself?"

Elesa looks away, pretending to look for something, when really it is because her cheeks went red. "I wish we never discussed the topic to tell you the truth…"

Skyla gives a mischievous smirk at what was said, and didn't take long to think of a comeback. "It's not my fault you called that first time to tell me about how the match went between you two. I also remember the smile on your face when I informed you on how he beat me, and I believe there was a little spark in your eyes."

The electric users red cheeks became a little more because of that, and it brought on a dissatisfied frown. This time she wasn't going to respond with her eyes away from the screen, she now looks at the person on it with a glare. "Skyla, I only just met him on that day and hardly know a thing. How could you assume I have something for him just by some made up comment?"

Skyla's head moves sideways, one eye kept to the screen, a mischievous grin to what is thought to be funny before she said it. "Well, I 'assume' it started out the time when you called on colour suggestions for your hair, and all of a sudden you asked how I thought black would look on you… The same colour on the very person we're talking about."

Suddenly the quilt on her bed became most fascinating when her blue eyes lock on to it, tracing a finger over the material in a circular motion. Her thoughts trailing on the topic about why she dyed her hair the colour it is now, because she wanted to try something different instead of just her attire. It brought surprise to her fans, but they eventually got over it and liked/loved the new look, saying it still makes her radiant along with her beauty.

"Elesa, are you listening to me?!"

Said person snaps out of it, shaking her head a little before she went back to stare at Skyla. "Yeah, I'm listening. I was just thinking about something."

It didn't help when what came to mind brought a grin to the Flying type users face again. "Oh, so you were thinking about your Romeo, huh?"

The former blondes cheeks went red, not from embarrassment but out of anger. "I was not thinking about him, you wing nut!" In the process of this, Elesa hurls a pillow at the videophone after she got hold of one, only to have Skyla laugh even when it fell to the floor.

"Aww, you look so cute when you're all mad and serious. I'm sure Ash will think the same thing if you're lucky." She says in a way like a mother does to her child whenever something cute is done, giving the young woman a wink also.

Elesa remains a bit red, eyes glaring at the screen as she waits for her friend to finish, not wanting to say a thing unless she wants to make it worse for herself. When Skyla finally came to a stop, the two decide to change the subject on a serious matter.

"How do you think he'll do in the challenge?" The Flying type Gym Leader asks, now a serious expression like Elesa once the matter came to light.

"I don't know. From what I found and heard, Ash may stand a chance against them as long as he has his Pikachu, who has been through so much with him that he's probably been through so many battles."

When ever she found time, Elesa searched for everything she could on the Kanto Trainer, able to find video footage of his past league battles, including available footage of the Orange League and Battle Frontier. Then there were the newspaper articles she found online, able to come across a lot about him. Each time she recalls what he has done it made her feel a little strange…

"If he relies on Pikachu too much, Ash will lose for sure when the other Elite members figure it out and build a strong team to counter both him and the rest of Ash's Pokémon altogether." Skyla's words snap Elesa out of her thoughts, making her head shake that went unnoticed by the way her friend thought hard.

"Ash going against Marshal, Shauntal, Grimsley and Caitlin would be randomised by the league. And if he does manage to beat all of them he still has Alder to get through before becoming champion."

"He'll beat them…" Elesa mutters with her head down and faced away from the screen so Skyla wouldn't notice.

Although she couldn't see Elesa's mouth move, Skyla was curious on why her friends head was averted. "Is something wrong?"

To answer, the black haired young woman shook her head, looking back to show a smile. "I'm okay. I just remembered the schedule I have today. Thankfully it's not a busy one before I have my three month off as I recall."

Skyla didn't know whether or not to believe that. Although, last time she recalls, Elesa did have a busy time to take care of so there wouldn't be much of a day full of stuff, and so she could have her time off without thinking of work. All in all she understood, made up or not. "Okay, if you say so. How about I fly over and we can do stuff together? I promise to make it a fun time you'll never forget to really get your mind off work."

The idea made Elesa laugh in a good way if she knew her friend that well on what might be in store for them both. "Yeah, I bet you will. Thanks Skyla, I appreciate it if you can make it."

Said person simply waves it off as if it were no problem. "What are friends for? Anyway I better let you go and get to your modelling thing, or whatever it is you got planned."

Elesa gives a smile, seeing as she should start to leave. "Yeah, I should be going before Ella comes to remind me what I have planned."

Before she hung up, Skyla had one thing to say that made her grin. "Also, have a nice time daydreaming about your raven haired Romeo."

"Shut up!" The Electric user loudly gets out, both cheeks a bit red as she threw the second pillow at the videophone at the time the laughing Gym Leader ends the call with the screen going black the moment the pillow struck the machine.

She kept a glare on it till the sight of someone leaning against the doorframe caught her attention. "Oh, hello, Ella, when did you come in?" Elesa asks, hoping the woman wasn't there for long without her noticing.

The woman was in her thirties, wearing violet business suit with black heeled shoes and same coloured skirt. Brown hair tied in a high ponytail, her skin was cream coloured and she had red glasses over her blue eyes. "Long enough if that's what you're insinuating. Finishing off your chat about your future husband?"

It only made Elesa collapse on her back, both hands covering her face as she brought out an unhappy moan. "Don't you start, okay? You and Skyla are like the two annoying sisters I never wanted every time we bring up this subject."

"You mean about Ash Ketchum? The very person I caught you staring at more on television during the Vertress Conference than any other guy that took part? And not forget to mention the part where he won it and will go on to face the Elite Four Challenge in month's time." She said all that while making it in front of Elesa, a smirk and arms folded the whole time.

Elesa sat up, a small glare to the woman who found this amusing, especially the sight of the blush on the models cheeks that had nothing to do with makeup. "Aww, my little, model Elesa is all grown up indeed!"

"Shut up! Don't I have a schedule to keep to? My Pokémon are fed and safely put away and I'm ready to go, now come on!" She said, rather wanting to get the day over with instead of being teased in her bedroom the entire time.

As Ella's eyes kept to her client leaving the room, she couldn't help but giggle before following her, an unseen shake of the head at the denial the Gym Leader was going through with her feelings.

"Alright, we finally made it!" Ash happily spoke with a stretch of both arms, Pikachu showing the same emotion as his Trainer.

Iris jogs up from behind, along with Cilan and Georgia, asking him as the three caught their breath, but not the excited Trainer who seems to be packed full of energy. "Was it really necessary for you to run the rest of the way here and leave us behind like that…? You can be such a kid."

Georgia takes this as a time to come to the Kanto native's defence. "Oh, lay off, Dragon Girl. He's just happy because Nimbasa City is just another stop before coming to Castelia City… Cut him some slack for Aceus' sake."

It only made Iris glare at the girl after the trio recovered. She was about to make a come back if Cilan hadn't cut in with a question. "Hey, guys… Where's Meloetta?" Not seeing the Melody Pokémon anywhere in sight.

The girls and Axew look round with their eyes to see that the connoisseur was telling the truth, though Ash and Pikachu didn't seem worried or confused. The raven haired Trainer assures them. "It's okay, guys. Meloetta's been with me and Pikachu the whole time. See?" He points to his unoccupied shoulder, until the Pokémon in question appears with both a smile and wave while holding on.

They gave a look of relief, Cilan exhaling a sigh before he asks. "Would you mind warning us the next time you go off somewhere invisible, Meloetta? We don't know who we might meet here in the city. It could turn out to…"

He was cut off when Iris gave a sharp elbow to his ribs. "Don't give her a reason to be cautious and afraid, Cilan!" While the poor guy clutches the spot where his friend got him, Meloetta was downcast at the worry she caused.

Ash notices and made her feel better with his words after placing a hand on her head. "Hey, it's okay. Cilan is just a little worried because he doesn't want anything bad happen to you, like the rest of us." His words seem to have made her start to feel a better, giving a small smile as proof.

To get things moving, Georgia speaks up to get everyone's attention. "If we're all done here, shouldn't we maybe move on to the Pokémon Center to get our Pokémon checked?" They all agreed, except for Iris who just mouths what the Dragon Buster said after Georgia took the lead with her back to them so she couldn't see.

As the trio walk further into the city, Meloetta being invisible at the time, Ash, Cilan and Iris notices that not a lot has changed as far as they can see, though some shops were closed due to renovations, and an area was under construction for something. The walk to the Pokémon Center got them to come across quite a lot of people along the way until they got to the building. Their eyes were in their direction in confusion as they enter through the doors.

"What's with this crowd? I know this city has its attractions but they can't be that popular." Iris said.

"Maybe some special event they got organised?" Cilan suggests as the group made their way to the counter where Nurse Joy welcomes them with a smile.

"Welcome to the Nimbasa City Pokémon Center. How may I help you today?"

As Ash made the arrangements to have their Pokémon checked out, Georgia took that time to speak while getting her Poké Balls out. "If you're that curious, why don't you go find out? I'm sure there's a poster or something around to help, or maybe stop someone and ask." She placed the spheres on the tray like Ash had done, Pikachu having to hop onto the counter like Axew had done. Meloetta on the other hand remains where she was, not ready to be checked by some stranger, even if she was there to help, so Ash kept her Poké Ball on him.

Nurse Joy overhears what was said and asks with a tilt head as Iris and Cilan did the same as their companions with their Pokémon. "Is there something you are unsure of? Maybe I can help."

Seeing no harm in it, Ash was the one to say it. "We were just wondering what all those people were doing outside. It's like they're waiting for something to happen. Is it a Pokémon battle?" What he asked at the end made him feel both hopeful and eager.

The nurse giggles at the young Trainer, an explanation made to what they want to know. "Oh no, it's completely different. The model and Gym Leader Elesa is putting on her final fashion show today before she goes on her three month holiday. Everyone is just getting what they want ready since the show is outdoors on this beautiful day. As I saw it's to be quite a turn out if all those people out there are here for it. Elesa has gained quite an audience one time after she changed her style."

Seeing the confusion on their faces, Nurse Joy digs underneath the desk and takes out a magazine to show them, specifically the front cover of the Gym Leader showing her elegant smile while in her new look.

"Wow, she dyed her hair. I liked her as a blonde; it went well with the whole electricity theme she uses." Georgia said, quite impressed like the others as they continue to stare.

"I never pegged you as the fashion consultant type." Iris said, managing to break away from the cover to look at her rival, who returns the stare in the form of a small glare. "Just goes to show you know nothing about me like you do with Pokémon."

Iris was about to make a comeback when Cilan decides to intervene so an argument wouldn't take place that it might get them into trouble. "Why don't we go check out this fashion show? We can follow the crowd to where it's being held if we can't find it ourselves."

"Learning your mistake from last time in Driftveil City, huh, Cilan?" Iris said teasingly with a smirk, recalling his sense of direction while in the named city when Ash battled against Shin.

The reminder made the connoisseur clear his throat, able to keep the redness contained at the little blunder he made. "Yes, well, sometimes we all have to learn from our mistakes." It made his friends snicker.

(Ash?)

(Iris?)

The sound of their Pokémon's voices got heads to look them in the eye, the two feeling forgotten by all the talking that was going on. Ash was the one to reassure them, a hand rubbing his starters head at the time. "Don't worry, we're going to wait for you all first before going, that way we can all watch it. When does it start anyway, Nurse Joy?"

Said woman looks at the nearest clock on the wall then what she recalls from memory. "It's today, in an hour. Unfortunately you have to have tickets and I overheard some Trainers say that it's sold out."

Since that plan was down the drain, Ash said with a downcast look. "I was hoping to ask her for a battle to help train my Pokémon. Maybe I'll get lucky and see her at the Gym when it's done."

"And what would your reason be for going there, if you don't mind me asking." The new voice got heads to turn in the direction where an unfamiliar face stood in their line of sight, a serious expression on her face and arms folded beneath her chest as she continues. "The Unova Gyms are temporary closed until the league is ready to open them to officially give out badges to winners. So tell me, what's your reason for going to the Gym to see Elesa?"

The glare made Ash a bit nervous since it was aimed at him more than the others. To make sure no trouble was caused, he voiced what she wanted to hear. "I-I already won my badge from here and took part in the Vertress Conference, so it's not that. I just wanted to ask Elesa if it was all right to help train my Pokémon a bit to be ready for the Elite Four Challenge."

What he said made the woman raise a questionable brow at certain things he mentioned. 'Already took part in the Vertress Conference? The Elite Four Challenge? Could he be…?' To make sure he was the right person, she asks out of curiosity, not dropping her posture or expression. "What is your name?"

Cilan, Iris and Georgia kept their eyes on her at the time Ash replies, Nurse Joy even gazing at one person to the other. "My name's Ash Ketchum."

Ella raised an eyebrow, giving the young Trainer a good look as she walks up close to the group. 'Those clothes, that hair, that name. Plus a Pikachu and the companions she talked about with him… Yep, this is him all right.'

To move things along so it wouldn't cause a line up should anyone else come in, Nurse Joy kindly clears her throat to get everyone's attention then asks. "Would you mind taking this else where, please? And am I to assume you're here for the Pokémon you left behind, Ella?"

Said woman's seriousness diminished when she acknowledges the woman behind the counter with a smile. "Yes I am. Thank you for treating them. I would have been here sooner if I didn't have the show to help out with."

Nurse Joy returns the gesture as she said. "It's no trouble. You are a busy woman, being Elesa's agent and all. I'll have Audino bring them to you while I take care of this lot." After a nod was given, the pink haired woman took Georgia's and Cilan's trays first before coming back to pick up the other two.

While the nurse took care of that, Ella notices the surprise looks on each of the young Trainer's faces, unable to help but ask. "Is there something wrong?"

The sound of her voice eventually got Iris to speak first before anyone else could, in the form of a question. "You're Elesa's agent?"

Seeing no problem in that, Ella nods. "Yes, I am. Elesa tends to have a busy schedule at times, so I was hired to keep things balanced. I sort out her modelling dates and arrange the shows she's to take part in, etc. This leaves Elesa to sort out her Gym Leader duties, like training, battles and all that. Together we make sure both sides correspond well to her schedule that it gives time to herself for rest."

Cilan folds his arms while in thought at what she said. Considering Elesa's popularity as a model along with her duties a Gym Leader, it would be a challenge to juggle both sides alone, therefore a little help was the wisest choice to make.

As the connoisseur continues to think, Ella gives Ash a look of suspicion after a sudden thought pops into her head, being the thing asked next. "Are you sure that's the only reason why you want see Elesa? Just so she could help you train a bit for your challenge?"

Ash tilts his head in confusion, unsure of what she meant because nothing came to mind except for what he already said. "Yes, I'm sure… Should there be anything else?"

The others may have picked up what Ella was insinuating since the girls gave a face palm and Cilan just shakes his head a little, arms still folded. Georgia quietly said to either of the two, rubbing the bridge of her nose with her eyes closed. "Please tell me he's playing dumb on this one?"

Iris was the one to respond, a hand scratching the back of her head, the two actually having an understanding on something for once. "Now you know how I feel sometimes. He's such a kid." Ash just looks from one girl to the other at what they said, not getting it at all it would seem.

The evidence was shown by his cluelessness alone that Ella couldn't help but giggle, failing to conceal it even when a hand went to her mouth to cover it. Knowing he wasn't one of those types of fans with a hidden agenda to see a star such as Elesa, she removes the thought from her mind and decides to finally speak. "I'm sorry, I had to make sure. I believe this is one reason why Elesa was interested when she watched your Unova League matches."

It caught Ash a little off guard that someone like the Nimbasa City Gym Leader would find time to watch his league battles. "Elesa watched my battles?"

Realising the slip up she made, the woman made an attempt to change the subject. "Forget I mentioned that part. So you want to see Elesa and request a battle, huh? She didn't say anything to me about going to the Gym today. I might be able to pull some strings to get you not only in to view the show but also stay afterwards to see her. If you want, that is."

The trio were unprepared for such kindness, yet they were happy about it and gave each other a look to quickly think on it before they nod to Ella in acceptance. It was after that an Audino and got their attention. (Excuse me. You're Pokémon are ready, ma'am.)

Their heads move to find Pikachu, Axew and the trays long gone, replaced with a single tray that held two Poké Balls held by the smiling Pokémon that brought them. The teens move aside for Ella to collect them. After she did that she thanks Audino while miniaturizing the spheres and placed them in her pocket, then makes her leave.

Ella didn't get far when she came to a stop, turning halfway to face the three to say. "Oh, I forgot. I will need your friend's names, Mr Ketchum, so I can allow them entry with you passed security. Your Pokémon are okay if you intend to let one or two out, as long as they don't disrupt the show while it's in progress."

"I'm Iris." The Dragon Trainer went first, rather excited on what they might see during the show.

"I'm Cilan." He said with a hand to his chest and a short bow given.

"Georgia." Not really interested it would seem by the neutral expression, arms folded also at the time.

With a nod, Ella said while checking the wristwatch on her left arm. "Okay, just leave it to me. All you have to do is give your names to the person at the gate that is checking the tickets. Now I better go, see you all at the show, hope you enjoy it." She then makes a quick rush for the door, needing to be somewhere after checking the time.

Now that everything was sorted, the three decide to sit somewhere so they could not only wait for their Pokémon, but plan out what to do today aside from the fashion show and meeting Elesa, also the probability of Ash's battle should she accept.

With Elesa

A little after getting back to the area of the show, a stage was put up with a catwalk and some lights on both sides at the end, same for above the stage in multi-coloured uses than plain. There was also a big screen so the audience at the back could see what was happening, including another off stage on both sides that were held up by metal support structures. Around the area was a tall metal fence to keep out trespassers, especially to those that wish to sneak in.

The back stage area was closed off because of the tents, parked vehicles and staff moving about to get things ready. One sealed off big tent in particular was where the models were to get themselves ready for the show.

"I think this one really suits you, Sasha, because of your red hair."

Elesa moves her head away from the mirror on her table to see what was going on, seeing some models gathered at a rack of clothes that was recently setup.

The woman spoken to was in her early thirties with straight red hair that reached a few inches past her shoulders and green eyes, attire right now consisting of blue jeans that hugged her figure, a pink tank top, a digital watch on her right wrist and a pair of white, heeled shoes on her feet. She giggles at the compliment then said. "When I saw it as one of the choices I couldn't help myself but choose it."

Another woman in her thirties, being a year older than the other, said. "The same goes for me when I picked mine." She has blond hair in a short ponytail and blue eyes, wearing a purple, V-neck t-shirt that had Crobat wing designs round her sleeves, dark grey coloured pants with a black belt and a pair of slightly long, black shoes with a zipper on the side.

Elesa knew what they were talking about so didn't bother to join in and just goes back to what she was thinking on after her gaze moves back to the mirror. The man in charge was to give them a reminder of everything that was to go on, but she wanted to get it right by memory before then.

"Elesa, I was wondering if you could answer a question of mine, if you don't mind."

The new voice broke the former blonde out of her thoughts, getting her to look at the person's reflection before she turns to face her. She looks the same age as her, maybe a year or two older, being one of the makeup girls and not a model, even though she has the looks to be one. Her hair was short length and the same colour as hers, though hers seem natural than dyed, her eyes were dark blue, and her clothes being a white skirt with black shorts underneath, white shoes with revealed black socks and a plain red, sleeveless, buttoned shirt.

"Sure Sammy, I don't mind. What is it?" The Electric type Gym Leader spoke with a polite smile, hands clasped on her lap.

Sammy looks to where the exit of the tent is and seemed a little curious about something, a hand to her chin as she asks. "I was on my way in and I think I saw your agent talking to the guy in charge of security for some reason. I wasn't able to hear anything and thought you might know."

Elesa became confused at this information, unsure on what was going on with Ella to have security involved. So with a shrug the Gym Leader just gives a guess. "I have no clue. Maybe one was asking the other out on a date."

It made Sammy ponder a little that she folds her arms and looks up, picturing how it would play out. "Nah, I doubt it. She doesn't look to be the dating type when she's all business like. Though it does make you think if there is something up she's not telling even you. Maybe it's a surprise for both us and the audience?"

Elesa shrugs once more to show she clearly didn't know. The thought indeed came on what her agent had planned that she isn't telling her about. She could ask, but she didn't want to waste time when she should be getting ready, she'll talk to her as soon as she can if there was time left.

When time almost came round, Ash and the others were already there to beat the crowd, only they weren't the only ones since some people seem to have had the same plan in hopes to get a good view of the show.

"At least we got here before a big line formed." Cilan points out, seeing there were only four people to get passed both the ticket guy and a couple members of security before it was their turn.

"Yeah, but we could've been here earlier to beat these guys also if a certain someone hadn't decided to pig out at the Pokémon Center's cafeteria." Iris spoke next, an unpleased look and both eyes closed, only to open one aimed at the raven haired Trainer who sheepishly laughed a little.

"Can you really blame me, Iris? I was hungry and couldn't help it." Ash said. A smile made as he scratches the back of his head, not seeing Pikachu shake his own at the excuse.

"Yes, yes I would blame you, Ash, with no regret to it." Iris honestly answers without a second thought.

For this conversation, Georgia decides to leave herself out and just waits for it to be their turn to hopefully enter without problems. When it got to their turn, the man taking the tickets asks with a hand out. "May I see your tickets, please?"

Ash steps forward to speak with his friends behind him. "We were told by a woman named Ella to give security our names and everything would've been sorted."

Both men that stood on either side of the gate exchanged a glance, wearing black t-shirts and blue jackets with SECURITY on the back in white, one wearing grey jeans and the other blue. Also they wore black boots and a belt that held a few Poké Balls on the left and a radio clipped on the right at the back.

The man on the left with short cut, blonde hair and blue eyes was the one to talk to them while his companion, who had brown, spiky hair and green eyes, unclips his radio to contact someone. "And may I ask what your names are?"

After the names were given and the proper checks were made, Ash having to give the Trainer I.D on his Pokédex as proof of identification, the group were let through. One of the security guys had to escort them to a spot chosen by Ella apparently.

"Hope you all enjoy the show." The man kindly said. He then leaves as the group give their thanks.

The spot given to them was as close to the catwalk on the left as they were allowed, having guard rails to block off the remaining distance.

"I can't believe that Ella woman did this for us." Georgia said, a bit un-believed at how close they were.

"Maybe she was just being nice. As long as I ask Elesa for that battle I wouldn't have mind being at the back." Ash said, giving Pikachu a stroke to the head that he appreciated getting. It was at that point Meloetta decides to make herself known on his other shoulder, wanting the same treatment, which Ash didn't mind doing with a chuckle.

Iris shook her head, a hand to her forehead. "Ash, can't you think about anything else than training and battles? Why don't we all take a break for a bit and enjoy ourselves while in the city? I'm sure there's stuff we can find to have fun with after the show."

"Can we do that after the battle?" He asks, unaware of what came next as he stares at the Dragon Trainer on his right.

"You are such a kid! Didn't you hear a word I said?!" Iris spoke in a raised voice that made Ash, Pikachu, Meloetta and Georgia jump since they were in front of her. Cilan, being behind Iris, held her back, as it looked like she was going to attack the Kanto Trainer.

"Smooth move, Ketchum. Calm her down before she gets us kicked out." Georgia quietly spoke with a glare while close behind. Not wanting to be thrown out before the show even begun.

With Elesa

With the crowd now coming in, the preparations ready and same goes for the models, the man in charge of the event came forth to speak to the women that were ready for the show to start.

He was a man in his late thirties, his brown hair neatly combed back and tied into a short tail at the back. His clothes consist of a black, button collared shirt, the sleeves rolled up half way, a light grey vest designed jacket over it that was unzipped, having light grey trousers that his shirt was slightly tucked into, black shoes and a pair of shades over his green eyes. He claps to get everyone's attention while using his words. "Ladies, please listen. I know you are all professionals at your work and I have explained this already, but I want to reassure myself that you all know what is to be done in this special show."

Models gave him the attention, even those still being worked on by the makeup people that were putting on the finishing touches. When the man was sure everyone was listening he continues. "Right, for this show it's like any other, only you lovely ladies will come out on the left side of the stage and the Pokémon affiliated with your outfits shall do the same on the other side. Once you come to the end of the catwalk you both then pass, come back and separate when exiting. Poses are up to you to do as long as they show off the style."

Everyone seems to have gotten it by most of the nods he received, having him give one final piece of information. "My assistant is readying the Pokémon some of you have kindly lent us, and even Trainers we found at the Pokémon Center were nice enough to lend us what we didn't have. Now, finish yourselves off and let's get this show on the road!"

The gang realize the increase of people that arrived when the show was coming to a start, thinking how lucky they were to either come early or had their own spot picked for them, probably both.

Before any of them could comment about this, the show started off with a flash of all the lights, giving off a spectacular show. Images of colourful fireworks then explode onto the screens as the announcer came on stage when the lights began to die down.

She was in her early thirties, tanned skin, eyes blue and her hair orange that reached to her mid back. Her clothes consist of a rose red tank top, pink skirt with black, fitting shorts underneath, a leaning white belt with a yellow, circular buckle and white and pink trainers. She even had a microphone in her right hand and a cheery smile to her face.

The sound of the crowd cheering made her raise both arms in a wave to greet them. "Thank you everyone for coming on this beautiful day. I will be your announcer for this special themed fashion show, Nelly, and I hope you all like what is to come. Now be patient and I will return in a bit to announce the first person to come on this very stage!"

She receives applause along with various calls that made her laugh as she walks off on her left, where she was met by the shades wearing man himself, who gives a smile at the work done. Nelly returns the gesture as the two shook hands.

"Thank you, thank you, dear for doing this. I don't know what I would've done if I didn't find the right person for this job." He said, giving the back of Nelly's hand a few kisses that made her blush in the process even after he lets go.

"Oh, I'm sure you would've found a way. Perhaps you could have done it, Mr Evengale." She said in a hopeful tone, trying to emphasise something it would seem.

Only objection was how he reacted towards the idea, arms folded and head turned slightly away. "Oh, no, I wanted to sit this show out and observe like the audience out there instead of announcing it."

Saying that caused a smirk to play on her features, jabbing a finger to his chest for what she asked. "Then shouldn't you be out there with the audience where you can get a good view of the models instead of being back here?"

Mr Evengale simply stares, a single brow raised as if she was crazy. "And let some amateur take my place? I may not be announcing but I am still the man who helped orchestrate this and instruct the girls on what to do. Speaking of which, Nelly, shouldn't you be going back out there?"

Said woman gives a nod. Only instead of doing as he says, she folds her arms and tilts her head with an amused expression. "I would if a certain someone gave me the notes he promised to write sooner instead of later."

This being his mistake by the clearing of the throat, he reaches into his back pocket and took out some note cards to hand over. After she took them, Nelly gives a smile as thanks then rush's out on stage in a happy mood, leaving Mr Evengale to sigh and scratch the back of his head before he had to go himself and get everyone ready.

"Ladies and gentlemen, fans of the fashion world, let's give a round of applause to show the love and devotion you have for the models that have come from various regions to give you a show worth remembering!"

Almost all the members of the audience did as they were told, giving out their cheers, calling out names of models they knew that are to take part in the show. Once it went on long enough, Nelly took it as a good time to continue after getting the cards in her hand ready, making sure the women backstage were the same. "Okay, now it's time for us to start with our first unveiling. Here we have a rider, able to gallop down the path of fire with the help of her mighty stead. Please give a round of applause for the lovely and flame passionate Sasha Valentine from Kanto!"

Behind her came out Sasha in a calm walk, and on the opposite a Rapidash did the same. The woman wore attire that's the same colour as the horse Pokémon's body, her red hair styled as if it were on fire. The clothes she wore was a short sleeved dress that reached a little above the knees, the sleeves being flame designed, same for the belt around her waist with a yellow, circular buckle, wearing a hard plastic headband with a short horn and black heeled shoes. Her skin tone matched the attire that a lot of people marvelled at because it adds to her beauty.

She and Rapidash walk down the catwalk. When they got to the end they face each other so Sasha could rub the Fire type beneath its chin, which Rapidash appreciated before the two faced the audience to give a little pose.

Ash and the others were awed, though Iris and Georgia seem a little more interested in the style since it was women fashion, even though neither cared about clothes like that due to the traveling they do and such.

Sasha and Rapidash give a bow before they make their way back, after passing one another to take the others place. When they made it to the end they parted ways off stage, Sasha giving a final wave to the applauding people till she was out of sight.

Nelly also joins by clapping, following the two with her eyes the whole way till they left, giving the audience time to settle. When they finally did she continues. "Hope you all got a lot more in your system for what's to come, since we got a lot more to show. Our next one to come is sure to drown you all with her beauty and perform elegantly as ever with the Pokémon by her side for this. Allow me to introduce to you all the elegant Marie Sharpay from Johto!"

Some admirers that know of her gave loud cheers than others did, especially for what she had on. A beautiful woman in her thirties came on with a Croconaw from the opposite side. Her hair was long and dark pink, perhaps dyed, her eyes emerald green, wearing a sleeveless, short length dress in a similar blue colour as the Pokémon she came to meet before the two moved down the catwalk. She had on zipped up, blue, knee length, heeled boots that were white for the feet portion. The straps on the dress were yellow and same goes for around the abdomen in a similar design to Croconaw's asymmetrical pattern that reached up to the right shoulder. She even wore blue fingerless gloves that went half way up her arms with red straps. Also, on both sides of the boots were some small, dull tipped, red spikes that were little curved back.

Marie walks down gracefully as her attire would allow, Croconaw following by her side, doing well in matching each step. When they got to the end, Marie struck a pose while the Water type folds its arms, putting on a bit of a tough guy act. The two gained applause, some of the guys at the front even whistled to the woman.

She gave a wink to the crowd, then a nod made to Croconaw got the two to swap places as they made their way back, eventually to go their separate ways when both gave a wave to the audience.

Nelly went on to the next after everyone settles like before. "Coming on next is someone who soar the skies gracefully like a Pidgeot, yet strikes like an enraged Fearow. Her attire though may put those thoughts at ease as she walks on stage to marvel you all with astonishing wings. Please give it up for Anita Emilia from Hoenn!"

Applause and various cheers came for the woman that walked on stage, though for some reason she covered by what looks to be a blue cape, head lowered as far as it could go, though shown she had on a cowl and probably a mask.

There was no sign of the Pokémon to be with her for this, and it didn't seem like she wanted to be here from the way she was acting. All this quietened the crowd, a number unsure how to react, some unimpressed and others confused.

But when she got halfway down the walk they got a surprise. Anita shoots open the cape to reveal it was a split wing design, blue on the out and white and red on the inside, head also raised to show a mask of a Swellow's face attached to the upper portion of the cowl, revealing her light blue eyes and bright smile. A blue, sleeveless dress she revealed with white covering the front portion, having a pair of knee length, yellow, heeled boots with black tips at the end of her feet, and a pair of blue normal length gloves.

Not only that but a loud cry was heard before the sight of a white streak from backstage caught everyone's attention, shooting up into the air then it came down. It went into a spin then lands in front of Anita, who remained in her pose, revealing itself to be a Swellow that spreads its wings as far as it could like the model had done with her spread arms.

The awe worth display made members of the crowd speechless. Although not enough for a good number to show support that made both model and Pokémon show a sign of relief. After Anita strokes the top of the appreciated birds head, the two move on down till they took their place at the end of the walk. Once there both gave a couple elegant poses with the use of the wings, or split cape in Anita's case, then did the same like the others when it was time to make their leave.

The reactions from the crowd went on for a bit when Cilan spoke, clapping like his friends. "That was a most excellent and unexpected display. It must have taken a while of practise to have Swellow use Aerial Ace in such a way."

After watching the Flying type, Ash smiles at the memory of his own at Professor Oak's ranch, wondering how it was doing along with his other Pokémon. He was brought out of his thoughts at the sound of Iris' voice, though it was the slap at the back of the head from Georgia that certainly got his attention. "Ow! What as that for?" He rubs the spot with a glare to the Dragon Buster, who didn't seem to care what she did.

"You looked to be far away I thought snapping you out of it wouldn't hurt." She gave as an excuse. All of them thought they heard a quiet giggle from Meloetta who remained on Ash's shoulder.

The clapping ceased shortly after the two exit the stage, prompting Nelly to get the next card ready before she speaks. "Now we move onto our next model that is to show the beauty of nature with this ensemble that may bring an exotic fragrance to your senses if you're lucky. Please give it up for Laura Beaux from Sinnoh!"

Next to come on were a Leafeon and a woman in her early thirties, in a stunning dress that was the same shade as the smiling Pokémon's fur. It flows beneath the knees and allows easy movement. Both straps are leaf designed in shape and colour, having sleeves that go half way down, also coloured the same type of green, same for her heeled shoes. Around the neck loosely she has a medium length, dark green scarf, and worn around the waist is a brown belt with painted leaves all over that clipped at the back. Held in her left hand was a stick with an attached face mask of the Pokémon beside her that had holes to show her brown eyes, her hair being navy blue and styled in a short, high ponytail.

The crowd liked the sight by the number of cheers the two received, plus the sound of males whistling. Laura then reveals a bright smile after the two got to the end and she moves the mask from her face. Both Laura and Leafeon gave an elegant bow to them all in show of appreciation, gave the audience a few poses then made their leave.

As they did this, Ella stood next to Mr Evengale, looking out into the crowd for someone in particular. The man next to her couldn't help but notice then become curious and confused on who or what she was trying to find out there. "Is something wrong, Ella, dear?"

She was unable to spot Ash and his friends from her position, but knew they were out there because security informed her of their arrival before the show started, she just wanted to make sure, if it was possible to see them that is. Ella gave a second attempt at the time she replied to the question. "Just want to make sure about something, that's all... I'm going to have a word with someone for a bit, I'll be back in time before Elesa's turn comes."

Evengale watches her walk off somewhere, wondering what was going through the woman's mind to have her leave the show, even though it might not be long. He eventually looks back once he heard Nelly's voice commence the intro for the next model that stood ready behind the man.

Three more models came on and left with Pokémon affiliated attires and partners that went with them. A Ghost type that was of a Mismagius, whose model was from Sinnoh like the last one, a Dark type of a Liepard, the model residing in Unova itself, and the last one being of the Normal type Delcatty, the model for it being from Hoenn.

[AN: I am sorry, but this chapter is getting long enough and there is more to come. So, to the readers of this chapter, I have links on my profile that will take you to the images of each of the three. Note: I did not make them, so give the ones credit if you can when on their page.]

All the models and Pokémon that came on performed their task without fail, leaving only one to make her appearance, since it was the only model left that Nelly came to describe on the last card.

"And now, ladies and gentlemen, fans of the modelling world and to this electrifying stunner to come. Please put your hands together and cheers to show what she means to you, as she shocks you all with her talent along with what is to be worn. The Unova regions very own Gym Leader to this very city… Elesa!"

The sound of her name called got almost everyone to show how much she is loved by the volume unleashed that could deafen you if stood in the middle of it, especially when she came on stage.

"Whoa! I didn't expect this to be their reaction. I think it's more than the others got!" Iris tries to get out through the noise, having fans of the electric Gym Leader behind them that she covered her ears like Axew had done by taking refuge in her hair.

Cilan did his best to ignore them and keep his eyes on the stage. "Well, this isn't the same lot when Ash had his Gym match, remember? This is a whole different crowd since we're outdoors, and there's no telling how many fans are here because of her modelling!"

Meloetta became scared at the sudden outburst from the crowd that she flew off Ash's shoulder to end up in his chest, able to feel his arms wrap round her in protection as she clutches onto his hoodie. The Trainer gives her a comforting smile, placing a hand on top of her head. "Its okay, Meloetta, it'll die down… eventually."

Georgia shows sympathy towards the frightened Pokémon and wanted to help, but couldn't think of the right words to say.

Elesa came on stage like Anita had done, wearing her own cape that was black and covered her body. Her head was down enough for a smile to be seen, adorning the top of her head was a headband like Sasha's but black, a pair of fake Emolga ears attached. She came halfway down the catwalk before her head raised high and arms spread to reveal the cape was in design as Emolga's flaps, having yellow on the inside, attached to white gloves that went halfway up her arms.

She wore a white, fitting, one piece outfit with shorts length leggings, wearing a black choker and white, knee length, zipped up, heeled boots, a black belt worn with a circular, grey buckle that had an X made of thunderbolts. Elesa's black hair went well with the ears, and everything else of the attire would make her as a swell Emolga.

Her fans especially liked the outfit by either the verbal support or awed expressions given. Their eyes were locked even when two Emolga emerge on stage by air. One on the left and the other the right, performing an aerial show, going not far from the vicinity of the catwalk as their Trainer walks to the end with lowered arms. When stopped, the duo came in to land on a shoulder after Elesa placed both hands on her hips, both letting out short, harmless sparks of electricity from their cheeks.

As Elesa made a couple poses without disturbing both her passengers, the Emolga siblings were looking for someone in the audience at the time in the front row. When she half turned to make her leave, the female Emolga perched on the left flew off, to everyone's surprise, and went to someone specific.

Ash and the others watch as Emolga came in their direction, making the raven haired Trainer confused when she made a U-turn after passing him then lands on top of his head. He felt Emolga repeatedly tap his cap, happily saying out loud. (I found him, I found him, I found him!) The others, Pokémon and crowd that saw this included, stare in confusion themselves at what was going on.

As this continues, Elesa stood frozen in place, eyes wide and lips parted, rather surprised on the person Emolga landed on. She didn't notice the brother on her right blink at his sister's find. The two were told by Ella, before it came to Elesa's turn, to seek out a familiar face in the front row. Neither knew what she was talking about until she mentioned some features of his appearance, and that he had a Pikachu, which seems to have jogged the females memory at the way she reacted, to which she did not share any knowledge about it to him.

Nelly scratches the side of her head at the sight of Emolga and a Pikachu greeting each other while still on the boy, whose facial features went from confusion to happy. He even reached up with his right arm, found the electric squirrels head then manages to scratch behind her ears, which she liked from the looks of it. Nevertheless, she was unsure what to say due to this new development since she was not told about it.

A couple taps to the shoulder got her to look away to find it to be Ella, holding out a card for her to read from.

(How've you been, Emolga?) Pikachu asks his fellow Electric type in a positive voice, despite their history when they fought for the Bolt Badge in Ash's Gym match. Although that seems a bit like ancient history by how she replied after Ash stopped scratching.

(Great! Although I do get an occasional ache whenever I remember that time a certain someone got me embedded into a wall.) A smirk got put on after that. Pikachu looks away sheepishly, even felt bad about it as he rubs the back of his head. Emolga then laughs, deciding to clear things up. (Only joking, I'm perfectly fine. No aches, no pain, no nothing.) Pikachu became relieved after he heard that.

The humans didn't understand what was being discussed, either by language or topic, though the group did, apart from Georgia and Meloetta. The latter placed a hand near her mouth in confusion since she wasn't around at the time. She was about to ask what they were on about when Nelly's voice intervened before a word got out.

"Would the person with Emolga please come backstage after the show to return her to Elesa. Thank you… Okay, that was unexpected. But who doesn't like surprises, folks? Now it's time to bring back our models and their Pokémon so you can give one final cheer before going!"

Since it was the finale, Elesa returns to her spot, trying to keep a straight face with calmness, though temptation made her want to glance in Ash's direction just once more. She inwardly shook the idea out the window as the others came back out and took a place where everyone could fit, models on one side and Pokémon on the other.

"Give it up, from the bottom to the top, for Sasha and Rapidash, Marie and Croconaw, Anita and Swellow, Laura and Leafeon, Elaine and Mismagius, Leia and Delcatty, Melena and Liepard. And, not forgetting of course, Elesa and Emolga!"

Each of them gave a final, suited pose as the crowd give a final cheer in whatever way they could to show how much they loved what they saw. As this goes on, Nelly calls out once it all calmed down a bit. "I am your announcer Nelly, wishing you all a goodbye, be safe and to enjoy this lovely day!"

The crowd was gone, leaving behind a bit of a mess from the food they brought in for the cleaners to sweep up. While they did that, Ash and the others were escorted backstage by security to where Elesa was to meet them so they could return Emolga.

With Elesa

"So, Elesa, what happened out there?"

Said model uses the mirror on her table to find Sasha behind her, a smirk of amusement on her face and arms folded, wearing the clothes she had before the show, like herself, except her coat, and the other women. Elesa pretends to not know what she meant, eyes closed at the time of the reply. "I don't know what you're talking about."

Sasha did not believe her, therefore intends to keep it up till she gets a clear answer. "Really? I seem to have noticed you coming off stage rather different, and I believe it had something to do with that guy your Emolga flew to."

The Gym Leaders tries to tune her voice out so she wouldn't listen anymore about Ash. Unfortunately, luck didn't seem to be on her side once she heard the voice of Ella call out to her. "Elesa, Ash is here with Emolga!"

What she said caught the ears of the models and other people in the tent, getting the ones interested to whisper amongst themselves to her misfortune, probably making assumptions since Sasha probably wasn't the only one to notice how she's been acting.

Her face covered by both hands, mumbled words came out so no one could hear. Finally it came time to move to get this over and done with. When she got up and past Sasha, the fiery haired model did not let down the smirk. "Gee, I wonder if you know what I'm talking about now." It got Elesa to look at her with a frown, only to receive raised hands as a means of defence, backing away a little before she continues to make her leave.

Ash and the others met up with Ella along the way and were brought to the models tent. When they got there they encountered Elesa's other Emolga, who was waiting for both his sister and their Trainer to come out. The latter was done once Ella called to her from outside.

As they wait, the Pokémon were in a conversation, specifically a trip down memory lane to do with a certain battle to help Meloetta catch up on what she was missing. The result at the end was a satisfied Meloetta, a laughing brother, and a confused Axew on what was so funny.

(Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha! Oh, so you're THAT Pikachu! Great to finally meet the Pokémon who got my sis good in that Gym battle, it really made me laugh.) He said, happily shaking paws with the electric mouse that didn't seem sure whether to be flattered towards him, or a little worried at the look the ticked off mentioned sibling gave. She looked ready to do something to her brother because of the reminder, though which part Pikachu wasn't sure about.

But thanks to luck, even though the male Emolga didn't pay attention, Elesa walks out of the tent without her coat and in a bit of a huff, though that changed when she notices everyone and puts on a smile for them while standing next to Ella. "Sorry if I took long, a couple of the girls wanted a little chat about something."

"Not particularly…"

The quiet voice came from behind and Elesa knew who it was, but she lets it slide for the time being unless the owner starts to get irritating, allowing herself to speak in gratitude. "Thank you for bringing Emolga. I hope she didn't cause any problems."

Cilan was the first to speak, a hand to his chin. "It was no trouble at all. Although why did Emolga fly off like that anyway?"

Ella had a smile the whole time, even when a certain someone's narrowed eyes aimed at her sideways when replied. "I wondered that myself, since I wasn't told about it."

It was clear the suspicion fell on the agent, so Ella tries to think of a way to get out of it. Something clicked into mind that she looks at Ash then asks out of curiosity. "Ash, didn't you want to say something to Elesa? I think it was for a battle, wasn't it?"

The reminder got said person to jump at the chance to ask now that it was brought up. "Oh, yeah, I nearly forgot. Thanks."

Georgia couldn't believe the memory on him and asks, having a hand on her hip. "How in the world did he forget? It was his idea in the first place to challenge her."

Cilan chuckles at the question, being close to hear it like Iris, and it was him to give a suggestion at his friend's memory. "I'm sure the fashion shows dazzling display of attires may have had something to do with it. Each of them a magnificent sight to behold. The Pokémon that walked along side the models were an elegant addition, able to show off more beauty to the mesmerised crowd."

Elesa took his words as one big compliment, about to give thanks when the sound of giggling from within the tent got her attention for a bit.

Iris' head tilts to one side, a humorous expression and arms crossed. "Mesmerised? I couldn't tell from all the cheering they did. Also how did you know? You were practically mesmerised yourself and couldn't keep your own eyes off the stage." It was a bit of a funny matter that it even made Georgia giggle.

Either it was good timing or he wanted to help his friend, Ash got back on track for what he wanted to request. "Hey Elesa, I was wondering if you could have a battle with me again."

The model/Gym Leader kept an eye on the entrance of the tent, till his request got her to look in his direction, a bit surprised because of it, too. "Why? You've already earned the Bolt Badge, Ash, so why do you want to battle me a second time?" She gives an apologetic look, a shrug made with arms lifted for what came next. "Plus I can't give you another badge since it won't be an official battle due to the Unova League being finished."

Ash knew this, a nod of understanding given partly as proof. "I know that. I want to train my Pokémon to become strong if I want to beat the Elite Four. My friends and I saw Marshall in battle while in Driftveil City, and it was awesome how he used his Sawk against a Golurk."

"So you saw Marshall battle, huh?" Elesa said, now focused on the topic, what happened earlier forgotten for the time being. She saw how serious he looked and, though cute, it made her think about it for a bit.

Thinking she might need more convincing, the Trainer from Pallet Town continues. "I have to train a lot to get my Pokémon ready if we're going to go up against top Trainers such as the Elites, especially Alder from what I remember."

Iris wasn't against Ash on anything; she just wants to make a point with what she had to say. "Sorry to burst your bubble, Ash, but…" She was suddenly cut off when Georgia rushes to place a hand over her mouth, the other at the back of her head.

"Zip it and let him go on." She whispers warningly, assuming he had more to say. Iris didn't have a choice but to allow this as she tries to regain the use of her mouth.

Unsure whether or not it would do, Ash indeed had something else to say that may help make up her mind. Nobody expected him to bow his head, hands flat on their side. "Please, help me train at least one of my Pokémon in a match, that's all. No badge is needed at the end if I win."

This predicament was… fairly new to Elesa. A person she recalls doing this wanted either a date if it were man or to be taught by her mostly on fashion if it were a woman, hardly ever what Ash wanted. It made her feel the same warmth she would have felt when it was picturing him or, at times, watching the TV. Now that he was here what she felt made her fight the urge to go red in the face on account of the lengths he would go for his Pokémon, even to require training from someone. Seeing him not raise his head got her to finally reply, since it would take that to get him to lift it. "Okay, Ash, I accept. You can have your battle tomorrow at eleven-thirty in the morning. If you don't mind since I'd like to enjoy some of the day that remains since my schedule is now free. My schedule is clear for the rest of the day, right, Ella?"

All eyes went to the agent who stood calmly, folded arms and a smile at the whole thing seen. Also on certain other things she noticed to do with the former blonde. "The show was the only thing I had you down for, any other stuff I can try to take care of on my own. The day and your vacation is now how you spend it, as long as you let me know if you plan to leave the city so we can work something out."

It didn't seem right from what Elesa recalls. "I thought I had more stuff down than the show."

Ella just waves her right hand as if it were nothing important. "Just meetings mostly, something I can go through on my own. Anything important I'll call or leave notes about for you to read when you're ready. For now, why don't you take Ash and his friends around the city? I'm sure there's somewhere you can take them where they haven't been to on their last visit."

This act of kindness made Elesa give a look of suspicion to her 'innocent' agent, thinking there may have been more to it. Unfortunately she didn't ask because of Cilan speaking. "Actually, I don't think we saw much of the city. We mostly came for Ash's Gym battle then left afterwards. Although we did get a bit side tracked when Bianca went first, then her father battling Ash, leaving the rest pretty much history after that."

Ella was told of the situation with Bianca's father and what happened after the blondes match where she lost both earning a badge and to be a Trainer due to worry the man had for his daughter. Ash bravely stepped in to help by challenging him to a match, where if Ash lost he would give up his own journey. In the end it all turned out well when Bianca's father accepted his daughter to be a Trainer and compete in the Unova League, and Ash, of course, didn't have to quit his own dream to becoming a Pokémon Master altogether.

"I haven't been here much either." Georgia points out, seeing as she is still new to the traveling group thus was not with them at the time. Her eyes traced to Iris, whose mouth she still had a hand over, earning a dangerous expression if she didn't let go soon, to which she did.

Since it seems the decision had been made, Ella gives a clap to get their attention, then proclaims quite happily. "Then it's settled! Elesa can show you lot round and hopefully find something fun for you to enjoy. Although, around here you're pretty spoilt for choice, especially when it comes to the amusement park."

Everyone seems to be delighted at the idea, except for one who seems to have no say in the matter. "H-Hey, hold on a minute! Don't I get…?" She got stopped by the sound of additional giggling, possibly a couple more joined in to spy on her. It made the model spin round to yell. "Don't you have anything better to do in there?!" She could only tell by the rushing feet that they were well enough away, though able to catch a little giggling going on.

Everyone became confused on what was going on as they stare at the frustrated model, not wanting to say a word just in case. Ella on the other hand wasn't affected and calmly walks to Elesa, able to get a look in the form of a small glare after a hand was placed on her shoulder, not wanting to hear a word for what she has to say. "While I get your things, why don't you discuss on where to go first?" She made a move inside without even a word to be let out, and even if Elesa did have a complaint it would've gone unheard.

"H-Hold it, Ella, I didn't agree to…" Too late, she was already inside the tent, leaving Elesa to sigh at what she was given to do. She looks at each person while trying to figure out where would be best to go first. The Pokémon Center was already known, same for her gym and where her fashion shows are held where they found her on their first visit to the city.

She was still thinking when Cilan gave a hint of a suggestion. "Excuse me, Elesa. Is there a place I can re-supply on some items?" It didn't seem like a bad idea to sort out one thing in the process of showing where the place was.

"That seems like a good place to start. I'll show you guy's the marketplace, it has all sorts of stuff there. Also at good prices if you're lucky to catch a sale going." She gives a smile plus wink to the last part, including a raised finger.

After receiving her coat and parting with Ella, the Nimbasa resident used the time to show the group round parts of the city while there was still day. As suggested they hit the market where Cilan bought some supplies to make food. Afterwards they went to other places, like the mall that was next to the market, one or two restaurants that provide a good environment. They were even shown a park where both humans and Pokémon go to relax and have fun before taken to the cities own Ferris wheel located in the amusement park.

It was there the tour came to an end since the sun would soon go down. Before departing they decide to have a break in the amusement parks play/rest area, built to resemble a medium park with some snack vendors coming and going on bikes. A jungle gym and sandbox were placed for the kids and Pokémon to play on, including a fake tree that had a slide on one side and a couple tire swings hanging by rope on a false, high branch.

Ash and the others sat on bench's that were to one side, a row of four, plus another opposite and a drinking fountain a little away on Ash's left. Right now they were having ice cream while all their Pokémon were having fun in the empty play area, or just taking a nap somewhere close by like Zebstrika, Excadrill, Beartic and Snivy.

Crustle was playing piggy back with Axew, Pansage and Pikachu on top, Scrafty was in the sandbox with Deino and Meloetta, Stunfisk and Growlithe were on the slide, and the three Emolga's used the branches on the fake tree to play tag since Iris' decided to have fun instead of her normal routine. Dragonite was nowhere, Unfezant went for a fly around the place, and finally Vanilluxe, Bisharp and Sneasel were just relaxing close to the humans, though the Ice types kept their distance from Iris for… certain reasons.

"Elesa, where's Tynamo? I noticed you didn't release it along with your Emolga's and Zebstrika." Iris asks out of curiosity on the whereabouts of the Gym Leaders other team member.

On her right was Cilan, licking away at his ice cream, while Georgia sat on her left on a separate bench. Ash and Elesa sat opposite them, the former happily taking in the contents of his double scoop of chocolate and vanilla with some sprinkles, the cornet being edible for each of them instead of a throwaway.

"I have my reasons…" It was the only reply she could give, looking at her single vanilla scoop before she takes a bite out of it.

Although they respected her privacy, Georgia gives an assumption to the reason. "And it might be because you plan to use it against Ash for tomorrow." She busied herself with her double strawberry scoop than stare at the glare Iris is giving her now.

Elesa didn't seem to mind by the giggle she made, thinking to give a response by using just one word. "Maybe."

Cilan looks at the Pokémon that seem to be enjoying themselves, though notices one more not present. He assumed why Iris didn't release Dragonite, though this one he was unsure about. "Hey Ash, where's Meinshao? Didn't you let him out of his ball like the others?"

The question got the raven haired boy to lower his ice cream cone and think about that, already knowing what he planned to do for his Fighting type member. He looked rather serious to get it over and done with because of the reminder on what Marshall said, plus the image of how Mienshao acted after the battle.

To everyone's confusion, Ash stands up then turns to walk away from the group so he could find a place that would provide some privacy. He made sure his friends knew what was going on before he got asked various questions on how he was acting. "I won't be long, just have to sort something out. You guys wait here until I get back."

The trio on top of Crustle laughed at the ride given as it continues to carry them without problems. They were all having a good time, except for Pikachu when he notices his Trainer walking away from the others, ice cream still in hand so it wouldn't be to get another.

(Huh?) He lets out in curiosity and confusion that followed with a tilt of his head. It didn't take long for him to jump off then run on all fours to catch up to him.

Axew and Pansage noticed their friend's departure and wanted to ask where he was going, too late to do so since the electric mouse picked up speed. The two shared a confused stare, giving a shrug since their Trainers would call in case it was an emergency and simply went back to playing.

Another Pokémon that noticed was a certain squirrel that had a good view from where she was on the fake tree, being Iris' Emolga who was on the top branch. She, for reasons unknown to her, came to a stop at the sight of the yellow furred Pokémon moving away from the group. It was none of her business on where Pikachu was going and she couldn't care less… but then why was she…

(Tag, you're it!)

Her thoughts got cut off after she felt a pair of paws slam on top of her head when the owner came in. The impact was a bit much that Emolga clutched her head with both paws as the cause of it lands on her left, confused on what got her playmate distracted to not move.

Emi, the name of the sister who faced Iris' Emolga, folds her paws then tilts her head. (What's got your head in the clouds all of a sudden? And stop overreacting; I didn't get you that hard.)

Jolt, the name of her brother, both given nicknames should they come across another Emolga like now and would want a way to call the other without confusion, jumps on Emolga's other side then points to where Pikachu ran off. (I think it might've been Pikachu. He just ran off after his Trainer.)

Emi's paws kept folded, looking to where her brother pointed then back at Emolga, who finished rubbing her head, doing the process once more till a conclusion came to mind that it made her grin. Jolt suddenly felt a little uneasy, especially when Emi decided to speak her mind. (Ohh, I get it. You have your eye on Pikachu, don't you?)

At the time Emolga's head shoots in the other females direction in surprise, Jolt found the slide so interesting he left to give it a go just to be out of the way for what may happen next. (What did you just say?) It was all he managed to hear before attempting to tune them out by using the slide as his distraction for the time being, thus joining the small queue of Stunfisk and Growlithe.

Neither female's noticed his absence since they were occupied with something to discuss about. (You heard me. You, my friend, have your eye on Pikachu, don't you?)

The repeat made the speechless Pokémon's mouth open then close a couple times, not taking her eyes off Emi, especially when she began to giggle for some reason, making Emolga frown. (And what is funny all of a sudden?)

It made Emi point while trying to hold her laugh in, head lowered as she replies. (You looked like a Remoraid the way you open and closed your mouth. Do it again.)

Emolga did not like to be made fun of, therefore responds while still frowning. (No way, not even for three apples would I make a fool of myself. And as for your question, no I do not have my eye on Pikachu… I was just curious on where he ran off to with Ash, that's all. )

Emi didn't believe a word of it, but the fun for her did not stop there. (Oh really? Then you don't mind if I give it a go.)

Not sure what she means, though could take a good guess, Emolga felt something inside stir a bit that didn't seem good. Especially on the answer she gained after she asks. (What do you mean?)

A mischievous expression adorned Emi's features as she leans in a little. (I think you know what I mean. In case you don't I'd be happy to make it clear…) Emi got closer to whisper quietly what she meant, making Emolga go from calm to surprise, that led to an outburst after Emi moves back.

(You keep your distance from him!) She didn't know where those words came from, they just came out that she almost covered her mouth with both paws.

Emi seems to have predicted a reaction, just not sure what it was, nevertheless giving a grin at the aftermath, plus to the little red on her cheeks. (So you do like him like that, huh?)

(Y-Yeah, right… Out of all Pokémon why would I like Pikachu?) Emolga avoids eye contact while at attempt to get the similar Electric type to accept her denial. Only it didn't seem to work because Emi answers from the list that didn't take long to be thought up.

(Let's see… He's a strong Electric type from the same region as his Trainer. Also he's a cutie...) She picks them off with the use of her fingers, eyes upwards at the time.

As she named more good points, Emolga frowns again, feeling a boiling sensation rise in the direction this went. Question is why she felt this way? It never happened before so she can't figure it out, at least not on her own. If help was needed she knew who not to ask, and one of them stood in front of her, trying to think on new things to add to her list. Another was a certain Grass type since they weren't exactly friends. Although, if it comes to it, Snivy would be put down as the last Pokémon to talk to, but Emolga wouldn't hold her breath to even think about asking her for help.

While the two Electric types try to sort out the "debate" they got themselves on a certain Pokémon, Ash manages to find a quiet spot where he could sort things out with Mienshao, ice cream long gone during the search. Pikachu didn't take long to catch up, now resting on the young man's shoulder.

"This looks like a good place for it." Ash said, giving a look round to find they were beneath a tree among a row of others. Stalls began to pack away and close for the day, even the vendors and food places sold treats to the remaining customers before they did the same.

(Are you sure you want to do this now? It could've waited till tomorrow.) Pikachu said, head tilted to one side as he stares at his best friend. Obviously told about what was going on.

The raven haired gives a nod as he digs out Mienshao's Poké Ball. "I'm sure, buddy. I might as well get this over and done with while I remember." He held the now enlarged ball in his hand, brown eyes staring at it while the memory on what Marshal said played in his mind.

"You see, there are Pokémon out there, certain Fighting types for example, that feel that acting or disobeying their Trainers would mean they deserve punishment because of how they perform in battle, such as Mienshao had done against Shin's Krookodile."

'All I have to do is talk to Mienshao to sort this out, or he might think I'm going to punish him or something should he try like what he did in that battle against Krookodile again. Hope he's in the mood to listen.' With that last, hopeful thought in mind, Ash tossed the ball. "Come on out, Mienshao, and let's talk."

The ball opens to release the Pokémon within in a white light, appearing in a battle ready stance, till he notices there were no opponents around, making stand at ease. His arms were folded, eyes focused on his master, still finding it a bit odd to refer Ash with that title since he fought Trainers that failed what Ash succeeded in doing.

"We need to talk…" Ash began. Mienshao head lowers, as if he waited for this to come. What came out next was unexpected to the Fighting type. "I'm not mad for what you did in order to beat Shin's Krookodile. In fact, I thought it was awesome!"

He didn't expect his actions from the battle to bring a compliment. It made his head lift, closed eyes now slightly wide, awaiting to hear more on what is about to be said. "The way you detected where Krookodile was while it used Dig was a surprise, but it came in handy and it helped give the win in the end. Marshal told me why you acted the way you did after the battle and thought I ought to talk to you at some point, thinking now would be good since I couldn't think of a better time to do it… What I'm trying to say is maybe you can help me learn what you know. You obviously have your own way in tactics that learning them would make me more prepared."

Mienshao knew what he meant, a good point really since the Trainer knew nothing of his experience. Whatever else he may know is not knowledgeable unless told, or shown in the mute Pokémon's case. Mienshao must figure out a way to show Ash what was taught to him that was mostly picked up during time of being alone.

"As long as you keep on track on how and who to use your skills on, I think we'll work great as a team with no problems, both in a match and out of one. Do we have a deal?" To seal the deal, Ash raised his right hand to be taken.

Mienshao stares at it at first then to the raven haired boys smiling face, looking to see the same on Pikachu who hoped the Fighting type would accept it. Mienshao lifts his arm to look at the paw for a bit before he fully extends it.

Ash grasps the paw so the two can finally shake. The smiles on both him and Pikachu not left the entire time of the process, and Mienshao felt as if a weight was lifted now that it was out of the way.

Ash and Pikachu came back, a look of accomplishment on the humans face to those that noticed. But no one did due to confusion that came at the sight of a man and a woman that he recognised, the man having an Accelgor by his side. "Charles? Linda?"

The two residents from Driftveil City heard their names, looking to find, along with the others, the voice belonged to Ash. Charles, who was the only one standing while Linda sat with Elesa and may have been in conversation with her, grins at the sight of the young Trainer and gives a wave. "Well if it isn't the winner himself. How've you been doing, Ash?"

Before he could reply, Ash was met by an invisible force that caught him by surprise when it made an impact from the front, making him almost stagger to the ground had he not quickly recovered. It brought confusion to all until the force revealed itself to be Meloetta, who held onto him because she could not find him during his absence.

Ash heard mumbling from her that he could take a guess on what it could be by the way he was greeted. It brought a chuckle from his lips, a hand rubbing the Melody Pokémon's head to sooth her as he spoke. "I take it you missed me, Meloetta? I haven't been gone long." She may have listened or may not, either way Meloetta did not back away quite yet. Ash didn't mind and allows it, being the kind person he is.

Eventually it was Iris to speak to get things going. "Charles was telling us that he brought Linda here to get her away from work. It was fortunate they arrived yesterday because they got to see the fashion show."

Charles gives a small laugh at that, hand rubbing the back of his head whilst he said. "Try getting her to go wasn't exactly easy. Although it was my fault for suggesting Nimbasa City since there's a lot of fun things to do around here. We were on our way to the hotel we're staying in till we spotted Cilan and Iris here."

"Not forgetting Georgia, the new addition to your little group." Linda said, a hand gestured to the Dragon Buster opposite. Said girl was looking over to the Pokémon still playing, arms spread on the back of the bench, one leg over the other, uninterested on what they were talking about it would seem.

"Also Elesa, that's a big plus considering her reputation." Charles adds in with a raised finger, now facing his childhood friend.

Said young woman couldn't help but giggle, having taken it as a compliment. "Thank you. I assume you meant it in a good way, right?" Whether it was a joke or a plain question, Elesa was interested to know how it would go for him to respond.

Before Charles could give a reply, Linda took over in case something shouldn't be said. "Excuse him, he sometimes says stuff that isn't exactly thought out right. It's like when he walks, he tends to be clumsy at that also."

The surprised motorcyclist speaks up in his own defence at the insult shot at him. "No I don't. And I'm not clumsy!"

Elesa kept an eye on him when Linda whispers into her ear while Charles had his eyes closed. "Watch this." She then raised her voice a little for everyone to hear, especially the person it was meant for. "Please, half the time you trip over your own feet. You're clumsy just like that goof of a vigilante back home."

Knowing who she meant made the man burn up inside, since it was his alter ego she was referring to. "The Mighty Accelguard is not clumsy! You don't hear the people back home say anything bad about him. Heck, even you support him sometimes, now I'm hearing you're against him!"

Linda thought he was exaggerating since she didn't say anything of the sort. She simply looks to one side, closed eyes and a dismissive wave as she spoke. "Come on, I didn't even hint at being against him. As long as he catches the bad guy, despite being his clumsy self, then I won't complain about it much." That made Charles quiet since he hardly gets support, sort of, from his friend like that unless he was needed, like that time against Team Vanillite.

Cilan leans into Iris, who looked to be a bit sorry for their motorcycle friend, a hand up between them so he could whisper. "Would you call this Mighty Accelguard topic a love-hate relationship or just a friendly banter?"

All the purple haired girl could do was chuckle, unsure how to answer considering the two they were talking about have been friends for a long time. Iris still didn't answer because she felt a tap to the shoulder, given by Georgia after she turns to face her. "What?"

Georgia must've been curious enough to want to know from Iris on the question that came from her mouth. "Who or what is a Mighty Accelguard?"

Unfortunately she did not think to lower her voice because they all heard it, including Charles, whose ears perked up at the question that gave the answer. Accelgor took some distance back just in case. "The Mighty Accelguard is a keeper of justice! When crime is present he will put a stop to it with the help of his partner Accelgor, no matter how tough the challenge might be that stands in their way."

Because of his confident tone and posture during the explanation, some looked at him oddly, others as if he were crazy. Ash, like Meloetta for different reasons, was of confusion. "But aren't you the…" He immediately quiets when the man quickly came to his side to place a hand over his mouth to stop Ash from blurting a word about his secret identity.

"Shh! You know that, Linda knows that and your friends know that. Unfortunately Georgia and Elesa don't, so keep quiet about it!" Charles quietly says with a glare, an attempt to not have him blurt anymore information out.

Cilan and Iris thought it was funny on how hard Charles tries to keep his alter ego a secret, plus how absent minded Ash can be at times since he almost gave it away had Charles not intervened. Elesa looks at them, Charles mainly, thinking he was a nice guy. A bit weird, but funny also. Linda shakes her head, a hand to her forehead.

Georgia was the one to look at him as if he were crazy, and still does. She didn't care who heard what was said next at the time Ash tries to gain the use of his mouth while Charles whispers something to him. "I should've kept my mouth shut instead of asking, correct?" All that was received from the two were nods.

While the humans continue to chat, after Ash was finally released to talk, Pikachu and Meloetta went back to play while they had a little time left, bringing Accelgor along to both join and meet everyone. When they arrived however, a certain electric mouse had an unexpected greeting of his own.

(I got you!) He was suddenly tackled to the ground by Emi. The "sneak attack" also startled the two Pokémon that followed behind the intended target, yet they made no move to get the sky squirrel off since she didn't look hostile, the happy laugh being proof, same for her expression.

(Where have you been? I wanted to ask if you would play hide and seek but couldn't find you!) She asks while hugging the confused Pokémon, feeling her furry head nuzzling against his.

This was new. Pikachu was unable to remember a female opponent showing this sort of affection towards him, especially one he beat in a past battle. Meloetta and Accelgor remain where they were, exchanging a questionable glance to whether or not ask if the two want a hand to get up.

As the display continues, the two Emolga's at the top of the tree slide were amongst some of those that saw this occur. The more it went on it came for Emolga to soon feel what she had when she and Emi had that conversation, the result of it now made a small frown emerge.

Jolt face palms at his sister's antics, quite aware on what going on since he observed enough of the two females, even though he didn't want to, to get what Emi was up to.

Snivy, one of those that observed from the jungle gym, glares at how close Emi was even after the two Electrics types got to their feet, though for different reasons. If she knew enough about Emolga's from what she heard and by how Iris' own acts, then she should keep an eye on this one in case she tries something. Although there might've been another reason behind it, and Snivy perhaps didn't realise it.

A short time later, after everyone was returned to their Poké Balls, excluding Pikachu, Meloetta, Axew and Accelgor of course, the group bid farewell to Charles and Linda, inviting them to the Nimbasa City Gym to see Ash and Elesa battle if they weren't busy.

Next came to being the traveling groups turn to part ways, about to wish Elesa a goodnight before they head off to the Pokémon Center to see if they could get any rooms for the night. That is until the young model recommended to their surprise.

"Why don't you all stay at my place for the night? It would save time in case the Center hasn't any rooms available, and it would waste your time of sleep by finding a hotel. I have the room, although just one guest room. One of the girls can sleep in the same room with me and one of the guy's can sleep on the sofa while the other shares the guest room." She plays with her black dyed hair a bit whilst she spoke.

It left no room for debate, and for all they knew she could be right on the vacancies at the Pokémon Center due to the fashion show and the number of people that turned up, unknown how many of them could've been Trainers from out of the city.

Since it seems to be a reasonable idea that left no room for arguments, Cilan was the one to double check to make sure. "Are you sure it's okay for us to stay just for the night? We're okay to find a place on our own should the Pokémon Center be out of rooms."

Elesa just waves it off with the use of her free hand, the other still in her hair. Although she seems calm and okay with it, the feel of nervousness was on the inside because of what this means by inviting them over. Nonetheless it did not change her mind. "It's no trouble at all. It would be a change to wake up to something different in the morning."

Some thought went into it between them before someone answered on behalf of everyone, but the result was the same, they accepted.

Elesa's Apartment

They got wide eyed at the sight of the hotel Elesa was staying in, even a surprise when they saw what the apartment looked like, perhaps wondering if the others were the same like it. The living room had a leather sofa and a couple same material chairs, a flat screen TV on the wall, a glass coffee table between them and a small wooden table on both sides of the sofa with a cordless lamp on top of them. It has a joined kitchen that has a worktop with cupboards underneath. Two doors stood apart on the left side of the room and another two on the right, though they are a little close than the opposite, a heightened window on the left of the TV with yellow, opened curtains, and a fan attached to the light on the ceiling. It was quite spacious that it had a table near the kitchen for them all to sit around.

"Wow, look at this place. You really live here, Elesa?" Iris asks, feeling the smoothness of the wooden dining table. Axew even jumps out of her hair to land on it to see how it feels before he took a good look round without moving.

Elesa nods a yes as she takes her coat off, placing it at the back of a chair, doing the same for the headband and puts it on the table. "That's right. Bedrooms on the left, also a bathroom and storage closet on the right. The bedroom on the left is mine, so that leads two of you sleeping in the guest room and one on the sofa. I informed the manager and someone is to come up with a futon."

"At least the decisions been made. I'd hate to imagine one of the guys in the same room as Dragon Girl, though." Georgia spoke after making her way to the television, the remote being picked up from the coffee table. Ash and Pikachu tried out the sofa and Meloetta was in one of the chairs.

Iris was unable to miss it by the perk of her head, looking over to the Dragon Buster with a frown. "Care to repeat that?" Although Georgia didn't seem to listen, instead she started to channel surf to see what was on. There was a Pokémon surf race going on, fighting matches either to do with humans or Pokémon, some random news reports, some soap drama…

"Hold on! Go back to that last news channel." Ash quickly said after his eyes caught something on the screen. The channel turns back to a female news reporter who was standing in a familiar place by the background Ash recognised. "That's my hometown!"

The woman looked to be mid thirties, brown hair tied in a ponytail and blue eyes, having on a navy blue suit and heeled shoes, a white buttoned shirt underneath her closed blazer and spectacles. Also she had a microphone in her right hand. "I'm here in Pallet Town, where the winner of the Unova League, Ash Ketchum, has not yet returned home. During his absence we have been given permission from some of the townsfolk today to give us interviews on what they could tell us about the seventeen year old Trainer."

Ash and Pikachu were surprised, though a little worried on what was said. Though the others in the room were interested to find out, making Ash wish he hadn't said a word about it now.

The picture changed to a married couple, both in their thirties, who were close while the camera was on them. The man had an arm around the woman at the time his wife spoke politely into the microphone. "Ash is one of the kindest people we know. My husband and I were even there to see him off for his journey at Professor Oak's lab along with his mother and some of the neighbours."

The memory of it brought the husband to laugh, eventually giving his reason without being asked. "I still remember his Pikachu shocking all of us on that day… Come to think of it, I forgot why it did that."

"Huh, me too…"

Said Electric type felt embarrassed, a blush on his face whilst a paw went to the back of his head for a scratch. Ash also remembers by the narrowed eyes he sent in the Pokémon's direction. The others were of course confused since neither of them was there on the day being talked about. Fortunately it didn't stay in their heads after the couple's image was replaced with a few kids that were with an adult behind them.

"Ash is so cool! My big brother found some of his matches on the computer when he took part in the Johto League." The one in the middle spoke in excitement.

"My uncle got me a disk to do with the Sinnoh League, and I couldn't stop watching the battle when he took on that guy Paul. Ash's Infernape rocked!" The second one to speak was the one on the right.

"After seeing his Bulbasaur, Squirtle and Charizard in action, I can't decide who I'd pick for my starter when I'm ready to be a Trainer." The last one now spoke his mind after his friend.

The reporter came back on for what was said. "Also among the people that accepted the interviews was Professor Samuel Oak himself, his assistant Tracey Sketchit, and mother to the Unova League winner, Delia Ketchum."

The names of the Professor and Tracey proved to be no problem for Ash, though his mother was a different matter since there was no telling what she might say.

The image changed to the three of them in the living room at the ranch, where the cameraman had Prof Oak and Tracey in the shot on one sofa along with the reporter and Delia on the opposite.

"Professor Oak, would you kindly answer how Ash got a hold of a Pikachu from you that became his starter? I read it is normally a Charmander, Squirtle or Bulbasaur to be handed to a new Trainer, yet Mr Ketchum came into possession of a Pikachu."

The camera zooms in on the Professor a bit as he explains. "On the day he was to collect his Pokémon from me, the other Trainers arrived a bit early than Ash, my grandson being among them, and already chose their starters, leaving Ash with none. Fortunately I had Pikachu in my possession, so, since Ash was willing to take any Pokémon I had to offer, he accepted to take him as his starter."

Ash couldn't help but smile at the man in gratitude for not giving the exact full detail on what happened on that day.

The camera zooms back to see the reporter dig out a notepad from her blazer pocket, opening it to a certain page till she read it. "This one is for Mr Sketchit. I have information that Ash Ketchum took part in the Orange League that took place in the Orange Archipelago, of which you are from, correct?" She continues after receiving a nod. "I know it is on file and everything, but could you tell me, along with all our viewers watching, did Ash Ketchum become the champion after beating the Orange League Gym Leader Drake?"

Again Tracey nods along with the reply. "He did. Ash and Drake fought in a full six on six battle in a stadium on Pummelo Island. Ash's Pokémon fought hard, especially against Drake's strong Dragonite to earn a spot in the Orange League Hall of Fame."

This information was new to everyone in the room, apart from Elesa it would seem, that they gave Ash and Pikachu looks of question, as if to ask whether or not what Tracey said was true. All Ash did was avoid eye contact by looking down to the floor, sheepishly rubbing the back of his head whilst a nervous chuckle comes out.

The woman accepts the answer with a nod. Now she moves onto the smiling mother, who took everything in on what Tracey said about her son. "Mrs Ketchum, how proud are you of your son? We verified he won the Orange League, took part in the leagues in the regions of Kanto, Johto, Hoenn and Sinnoh, and has become the winner of the one in Unova. That win earned him the right to take on not only the Elite Four of that region but also their champion Alder if he makes it through. Also, I received reports to say he even earned the title: Champion of the Kanto Battle Frontier. Hearing all this must make you excited to know your son has been doing extremely well on his journey through each region."

Delia giggles before she could happily respond. "Of course I am. I know my Ash does his very best to get as far as he can on his journey, no matter where he goes or what he does. I'll always be proud of him and give support as best I can."

Ash felt a little warm because of his mothers touching words, though it didn't stop him from lowering his cap to avoid the feel of eyes on him, even though the only pair in his viewpoint belonged to Georgia.

"Aww, that's so sweet of her to say, right, Ash?" Iris asks in a kind tone of voice, not in a teasing manner as expected from said person. She now stood behind the sofa, leaning on the back rest with Axew next to her.

Georgia pretty much sniggers at the reaction Ash made. "Looks to me it might have been a little too sweet for him to hear." She turns to face the TV again in time to catch the reporter ask Delia another question.

"If your son is watching this right now, would you like to say anything to him?"

It got Ash's head to snap at attention; eyes wide because of what he thought might be said, apart from kind, loving words from someone as sweet as his mother.

"Yes, I would. Ash, I hope you're doing well out there and keeping to your routine. Also that you-And Hitmonchan is down after a devastating blow from Hitmontop. Fortunately for the punching Pokémon's Trainer, it is still in this fight!"

"Hey!"

The girls were surprised at the sudden change in channels, from the news to a Fighting Pokémon battle going on, Georgia especially since she found the remote she held was gone. Iris, Elesa and Georgia jumped after being startled at the unexpected change. Due to the announcer's voice, Cilan nearly lost his hold on the knife he was using to cut vegetables that was to be used for the food he got permission to cook while the others were distracted. Axew nearly lost his balance, Pikachu sighs disappointedly at not able to hear the rest, and Meloetta almost became invisible but averted it, only to become confused oat what happened, leaving Ash the only person relieved.

He stood next to a confused Georgia, remote in hand. A breath of relief escapes at what he averted to hear. "That was close…"

"What the heck did you do that for, Ash?" The question came from the person he took the remote from, making him startled after she got close to his face as possible.

"Yeah, I wanted to watch that! What gives?" This came from Iris, who sounds to be in agreement with Georgia on this.

The Trainer steps back to get some space, hands up in defence. "Trust me, she's my mom and I have a good idea what she might say. You're not going to miss much." Ash hoped the excuse was enough to drop the subject and move onto something else. Unfortunately for him it didn't work.

"You might have a good guess on what she might say but we don't, now give it!" It was what Georgia gave in words before action took place, grabbing hold of his hoodie with her right hand then uses the other to reach up to his already outstretched hand for the device.

It became a struggle for Ash to keep it from falling, till he suddenly felt weight on his back that didn't exactly help things when it brought him and Georgia to land on the sofa, the sound of Iris being the one on Ash's back by the cry let out since she also came down with her on the bottom.

Pikachu was lucky to move quickly to not get squashed and now stood on the coffee table, watching this transpire. Axew moved also to the same place, giving a cheer at the "fun" going on. Meloetta just watches with interest, though a bit worried since it was 2 on 1 in the girls favour.

Elesa watches by the kitchen worktop, a smile at the trio as the girls continue to try and get the remote from the boy in the middle, almost jealous when comparing her lifestyle to there's.

Cilan went back to cutting, noticing the expression on Elesa's face that made him ask while doing the task. "A delicious meal for your thoughts."

It got the black dyed, young woman to snap out of it. Her head moves to stare at the connoisseur, a couple blinks to what was just said. "Excuse me?"

Not stopping from his task, Cilan kept a careful eye on his knife handling as he makes himself clear. "I thought it would do better than a simple penny. What I wanted to say was that you looked to be on another planet."

The others ignored the conversation that seem to have begun between the duo, the 3 humans still busy fighting for the remote while the Pokémon watch from their spots. If they did pay attention their ears would've picked up on what Elesa said.

The model uses a hand to comb the right side of her hair at the time, seeing no point in lying. "I was just thinking on the fun things you and your friends probably go through on your journey, where as I have my busy schedule as a major distraction that keeps me cooped up here. Don't get me wrong, I love my life as it is, but it would be wonderful to get out of the city for a while to see what challenges get thrown at me."

Understanding what she means by the nod of his head, Cilan could only chuckle at one part that seems to have been a bit funny to hear, which made Elesa confused. Fortunately an explanation came. "I wouldn't say we have fun on our travels all the time. We've had our run in with trouble from time to time that we couldn't leave unattended if we're capable of helping."

It didn't seem to divert Elesa on what she thought before. That changed when Georgia's voice got her attention. "Yes, I got-Whoa!" Especially when the redhead fell off the sofa, being fortunate she didn't hit the table. Everyone looks to see the Dragon Buster slowly raise herself from the floor, a sheepish smile on her face, the remote now back in her possession. "I'm okay."

Ash, Cilan and Elesa gave a sigh of relief to that. Iris on the other hand didn't seem to feel the same, still holding onto Ash's back who didn't move and thus still has the purple haired girl beneath him, a roll of her eyes made when she spoke. "Gee, that's a shame.

It made Georgia glare at her, though a devious idea came to mind that got a grin to emerge that did not send a good vibe to the occupants on the sofa, especially when it was voiced. "I wonder how much weight it would take to flatten you like pancake."

Insinuating where it might lead got Iris to react by pushing Ash off to the floor, to his surprise, then got off the sofa fast by jumping over the back, a glare to the girl afterwards while both hands still clutch onto the back rest. "As if I'd let that happen with how much you weigh."

Fortunately, Georgia stepped back in case his landing made her fall and hurting herself. The comment about her weight got her to look up, going from amusement aimed at Ash to a frown on Iris. "How would you know what my weight is?"

It was now Iris' turn to grin for how she answers. "Just looking at you pretty much helps with that."

"What did you say, Dragon Girl!"

Ash, already on his feet, scratches the back of his head, not liking where this was going that he moves to join Elesa and Cilan so he wouldn't get caught in the middle of what's bound to come. Pikachu, Axew and Meloetta had the same idea, quickly following behind and met on the table.

"Why don't you say that again, directly to my face without any furniture between us?" Georgia said in a raised voice, both fists clenched at her side, a fierce expression that could send a person cower in fear.

Not Iris though, she took this as a challenge. Just as she was about to jump over the sofa, a hand took hold of her shoulder, the sound of the models calm voice intervening the rivals so they wouldn't fight in her apartment. "I think that will be enough, girls. We wouldn't want my neighbours to be disturbed and get the manager involved because of the noise, now do we?"

Both Iris and Georgia had a glare match going on while contemplating on the matter in their heads. Since Elesa had a point it didn't take long for them to agree, eyes now on the floor at the time the former blonde spoke happily. "Great! Now all you have to do is shake hands and become proper friends from this."

An outburst came from both girls at the same time after their heads shoot in the young woman's direction. "No way is that ever going to happen!" It caused them to stare at the other, a bit surprised at the way they were in sync with their words. It didn't last long though and their heads move away in avoidance, eyes closed also. Their reaction even brought Elesa to giggle because of how funny it seems.

The night went on well the rest of the way up until bed when it came to decide who slept where, being Iris and Georgia in, of course, a disagreement. It was going on while Ash and Cilan helped bring out some spare pillows and blankets from the spotless storage closet.

"There is no way I'm sleeping in the same room as you. I rather have the sofa than be in the same room as you." Georgia exclaims, being up close in Iris' face.

"The feeling's mutual. Unfortunately Ash called the couch because he plans to stay up a bit to think on his choice for the battle." Iris reminds her, not backing away, rather she got closer till the two butted foreheads.

Elesa claps her hands while the two males got the sofa ready for Ash to sleep on, including one of the chairs for Pikachu and Meloetta. "Okay, that's enough." From the tone of voice, the Gym Leader/model sounded tired, maybe because of the day she had or the two going at it and it wasn't funny this time. "One of you will be sharing my room and the other will have to share the spare with Cilan. That is the idea I made when I offered you guys to stay over, remember?"

Both girls didn't seem to remember or have any objections as long as neither has to share the same bedroom with the other. They finally backed away, giving acceptance while looking away so eye contact wouldn't be made between them, perhaps a little embarrassed at their forgetfulness.

Ash and Cilan observe after they finished setting up, the latter leaning in to whisper in the raven haired Trainers ear so no one could hear. "Imagine how this is going to be when it's only you trying to break up their fights."

It was a thought that didn't come to mind until now, making Ash sigh on how much he might have to endure along the way home with the two girls. Although it was a matter to get into some other time, right now he had other things to think about. "I got plenty of time. Right now I want to focus on what Pokémon to use in my battle."

"If it helps," The sound of Elesa's voice got Ash and Cilan to jump, then finds said person now facing them, hands on her hips and a smile. "The Pokémon I'll use will be something neither you nor Bianca fought the day you both challenged my Gym."

Hearing this made Ash think of one thing on what it could mean, a big smile brought on because of it when he asks. "You mean to say you caught a new Pokémon to battle with?" It came to confusion when Elesa brought a hand out to tilt side to side, her smile not faltered in the process.

"Not quite. I focused training it in my spare time and it came to evolve, so I wouldn't say it's a newly caught Pokémon, more like a newly gained one."

Cilan starts to think by putting together what he knew along with using the information given. Both of Elesa's Emolga's were unable to evolve, Zebstrika is in its final stage of evolution, but Tynamo has yet to evolve last he recalls by picturing it in its match against Pikachu. The answer came full blown to only one highly probable conclusion that got Cilan to bring it out in the open. "I've got it! You mean to say that…"

Elesa quickly lifts the same hand up for him to stop, not wanting it all to come out into the open. "I rather you not give the whole thing away, Cilan. It kills the surprise if you spoil it before I have the chance to show you all what it is."

He couldn't help but scratch his green hair, a chuckle at the mistake almost made. "Sorry about that, I didn't know." He even gives a smile as best he could.

It only made Elesa shrug uncaringly with closed eyes, then speaks to make Cilan feel better. "It's okay. Like you said, you didn't know. Now, let's all get ready for bed. I have spare pyjamas that might fit you girls if you want…" She then examines the boys up and down. "Although I don't think they'll suit you guys."

Ash gives a dismissive gesture to her kindness, able to voice a reason for it. "I'm okay with what I have. Thanks anyway" Cilan agreed with his friend by the similar answer given, both their responses being fine with Elesa.

"I'm actually fine with what I have also." Iris said, being the same as her friends. Georgia on the other hand wasn't the same. "I think I'll give the change of clothes a go since it'll get me out of this, even if it is for tonight."

Now that that was out of the way, and after everyone got themselves ready, it soon came time for bed. The arrangement for Iris and Cilan was that the latter sleeps on the setup futon, after some talk went into it, Cilan being non-argument about it since he was a gentleman. Elesa and Georgia had no worries since A: They are both female, and B: The bed had little space between them so there was no problem.

A bit later, as everyone slept comfily as they could get, Ash indeed stayed up on the sofa to think, the state of the blanket meant he may have gotten a little sleep. He was spoilt for choice on who to use against the Pokémon Elesa has in store for him tomorrow. He even had the lamp on, the illumination not disturbing Pikachu or Meloetta on the left chair.

Speaking of the two sleeping Pokémon, his brown eyes move to where they lay, a smile made on how peaceful they look beneath the shared blanket. He thought Pikachu could use more of a break since memories of his battle against Mienshao still linger because of the state the Electric type ended up in, so he was out of the question. Knowing Elesa it will turn out to be an electric Pokémon like the rest of her team since it's her specialty. Ash then left out Mienshao because he didn't want to rely on him too much like Pikachu and give one of the others a chance, leaving it to be Unfezant, Snivy, Scrafty or…

Ash's eyes went directly to Meloetta's cute, slumbering form, the thought in mind made his head shake in rejection to the idea. "No, I can't. This and training are different and Meloetta could get hurt."

"Maybe you should let her decide on that."

The sound of the quiet female voice made Ash jump, looking back to find Elesa leaning over the sofa, arms folded and wearing an electric yellow, buttoned pyjama shirt and blue shorts with nothing on her feet. "E-Elesa? What are you still doing up?"

She kept the volume of her voice down as she made her way to take a seat next to him, able to hide the nervousness at the fact that it was just the two of them while the others were asleep, heart going quick at the continuous thought of it, too. "I was on my way to get some milk when I noticed the lamp on and you were still up. You must've been thinking hard to not hear me coming."

'I guess I was.' Ash thought, unable to recall the sound of the door to the room she came from even open. At the presence of her on the sofa came, Ash's eyes look to see her doing the same. The two shared a smile at first then look away before it felt awkward should they continue with it.

"Did you decide who to use for the battle? You don't have to give a name, a yes or no would do fine." She spoke truthfully, giving him the decision to whether or not tell her who it is to be his choice.

Right now though he wasn't sure himself by how he rubs his already messy hair and looks to the floor. "To be honest, I don't know myself…"

Seeing him troubled made Elesa give a small smile of apology, as if it were her fault in some way. "I'm sorry. If you want we can call it off if you're having a problem to decide."

Her words got Ash to shoot his head in her direction and give an outburst that startled her. "No way!" He immediately slaps both hands over his mouth, eyes wide at the mistake he made and hoped no one woke up because of it. Seeing that it didn't made him sigh before he uncovers his mouth to go on. "I don't intend to call anything off because of this. I'll have someone ready in time, count on it." He even assures her by a single thumb up along with the smile on his face.

Elesa felt warm at the sight of that smile, making her look away so her faint blush wouldn't be noticed, even if it was dark out and the only light provided was from the moon that wasn't full and the lamp in the room. "Th-That's good to hear. I wouldn't want you to leave the city disappointed."

"Nah, I wouldn't be. If I'm lucky I might find some tough Trainers to battle along the way to Castelia City. Plus there's Burgh, as long as the ship for Kanto isn't on the same day, and if he's not busy."

Silence now fell upon them, not a word from their lips or eye contact made to avoid the further uncomfortable feeling made at the lack of talking. It didn't help Elesa's heart either at the thought of what could happen next should this continue. Although it might be the same should a word leave either of their lips to start a conversation.

Elesa gives a sideways glance to see Ash frown at the floor, probably to do with what they talked about moments ago. She remembers what she learnt about him, enough on what he'd been through from news found on the internet, television, even from contacts she made from other regions when she had to do shows outside Nimbasa City.

Although he didn't win any of the other leagues, Ash proved how strong he was by how far he got, especially when he beat a Darkrai used by Tobias in the Sinnoh League when no one else could, even managing to tie against the man's Latios. She even remembers watching his battle against a man named Tucker, who is a Frontier Brain of the Battle Dome after she did her research on the Battle Frontier. It was one of those boring days off for Elesa and she was channel surfing, stumbling across the battle between Ash and Tucker. Due to her busy work schedule she must've forgot all about it, because it came as a surprise when that battle came up thanks to her search. She also learned Ash became the Champion of it after beating a strong Frontier Brain by the name of Brandon who possessed a Regice at the time. Not only those accomplishments but others also, like when she recalled being in the Orange Archipelago, and a Trainer fitting Ash's description beat the Orange League Gym Leader, Drake, earning him and his Pokémon a place in the Hall of Fame. Also some of the good deeds she found out Ash and his friends had done, able to show how kind he is towards others, making the model feel strongly for the Kanto native that she didn't know what might come next.

Georgia turns in the bed she shared with the owner, an eye cracking open at the feel of something not right. It didn't take long for both eyes to half open to find the quilt on Elesa's side was parted, said person being nowhere in sight after a look round the bedroom.

She rubs her eyes with the sleeve of the borrowed, yellow, buttoned shirt and same coloured pants, not having her hat on since it would be uncomfortable to wear it in bed. "Where could she be…?" The question from her lips came out in a tired tone of voice, not fully woken up yet.

Although Elesa was a grown woman, thus able to take care of herself, Georgia could not think why she was getting out of bed to look for her, though the thought of a drink seemed like a good idea to help get back to sleep. A yawn came when she got to the door before she got hold of the knob then turns it, being careful in opening it so she wouldn't disturb Ash or the two Pokémon, if either were asleep that is.

Georgia came to a halt at the sight of a light on, probably meaning Ash was still awake, unless he fell asleep and left it on. She was about to open the door all the way when the sight of two people instead of one on the sofa made her close it enough to not be seen, though able to look through at what was going on. Eyes adjusted to properly see, when they did the sight made the Dragon Buster quickly put a hand to her mouth to conceal a gasp that could've been loud had she not done so.

Neither knew themselves how it happened, it may have to do with them being the only ones awake, the mood of it being night and a single light on brought said mood on since the moonlight from outside cannot reach them.

This brought shock to Ash that he wasn't sure how long the kiss went on for, even his eyes remained open the entire time in a similar state as he was still in. Elesa had hers closed, both hands gently holding Ash's head in place as their lips remain connected and nothing further.

Georgia felt a little strange on the inside at the sight of both of them kissing, something she never felt before and therefore couldn't find an answer to. For some reason the idea came to walk in on them to break it up, but fortunately her body refused to go through with it to her relief, otherwise she'd probably embarrass herself unless she thought up a good excuse to be up at this hour aside from wanting a drink. So right now all Georgia did was remain there to see where it would lead… If they ever find the time to break off for air that is.

Elesa finally brought it to an end, slowly leaning back to find Ash speechless after her eyes open to see his own wide open and lips slightly parted. Realization dawned on what she did that she showed the same expression.

A hand went to her mouth, head slowly shook in disbelief, unable to form words into a sentence by what came out. "I-I'm so sorry, I… I didn't mean to…" The sight of his non-verbal reaction didn't help matters that it made her want to get out of there.

"I should get back to bed." Those hasted words Ash heard were the only ones given as Elesa shot to her feet to quickly make her leave for her bedroom, face blushing like mad that he couldn't see.

Georgia also moved quick after what she managed to hear, able to get back into bed in time before she heard the door quickly open then close without waking the others. Fortunately, the Dragon Girl slept on her side so the model couldn't see her eyes were actually open.

Elesa had one hand to her chest and the other balled up at her side, breathing heavily with cheeks burning, still unable to believe what happened back there. "What have I done…?"

Although it was meant to be quiet, her voice was at a volume to be heard that it made Georgia roll her eyes, as if it were a stupid question for someone to answer, which she couldn't help but do so in her head. 'You kissed Ash, that's what you did.' That same unfamiliar feeling came back, unsure how to deal with it until she knew what it is. Although she could take a guess, but it got shaken off in denial and she just tries to get to sleep before Elesa got into bed.

Ash remains in the same position, slowly snapping out of it. Only his thoughts were in pieces at the moment that they were being put together like a jigsaw. He was kissed by Elesa, a beautiful model and Gym Leader that everyone adores, on the lips. He had been kissed before by Melody when he, Misty and Tracey went to Shamouti Island in the Orange Islands, although that was on the cheek, same thing happened after the events in Altomare when he, Misty and Brock were leaving. It was from a girl named Bianca… or Latias in the form of the girl… He never figured it out because there was no proof of it being either since they looked exactly the same, apart from Latias' lack of voice when in human form, which didn't really help solve the mystery since she kept silent.

He didn't notice his heart racing till it began to slow down, his first kiss from the young woman having more of an affect. His eyes went to Pikachu and Meloetta in hopes neither were awake to witness what went on, being thankful the two were still sound asleep. He probably wouldn't hear the end of it from Pikachu if he saw what happened.

Ash decides to get the sleep he would need if he wants to be fully rested to battle Elesa. Although memories from earlier may prove to be a big distraction if he doesn't figure out a way to block them out and stay focused on his opponent rather than how her soft lips felt against…

He shook his head to get the image out of his mind. The Trainer lays his head down on the pillow and pulled the blanket over his body, able to find a comfortable spot on his side, just waiting now for his eyes to close and he would be set. Right now though his still opened eyes went to the occupied chair, a tough decision suddenly fell on him to decide on.

Nimbasa City Gym

The time has come, the day was beautiful and sunny with calm blue skies and white clouds, and everyone was ready for it. Ash's decision became finalised over breakfast, where he plans to keep it a surprise like Elesa's mystery choice.

"It's great you both could come watch the battle." Cilan spoke in gratitude to Charles and Linda, who were both with him and the girls on the side lines on Ash's side. Pikachu held onto Georgia's shoulder since Iris had Axew in her arms. Ella was even present on Elesa's side with arms folded, rather curious on how this battle was going to go.

Charles gives the young man a smile along with a thumb up to his reply. "No problem. It'll be good to see how Ash battles in person than on TV. Isn't that right, Accelgor?" He looks to his partner in crime fighting that gave a nod in agreement, its eyes kept to the field the whole time.

Georgia had been quiet all morning and it wasn't noticed, though Iris did give an occasional glance like now since the Dragon Buster stood beside her, arms folded, also a look of concentration going from one battler to the other.

Elesa stood in her full attire, hairband/headphones and coat included, arms folded and a serious expression where both eyes were shut, busy to keep certain things back in her mind. 'Stay calm, Elesa, just stay calm. You're here to battle, nothing but the battle should be on your mind right now. Forget what happened last night and you will be fine.'

Ash had similar thoughts, though did not present the same posture as the person opposite. 'Forget what happened, forget what happened. You know who you're using and that, along with this, is all that should matter right now.'

Their small audience noticed something didn't seem right, unable to put their finger on it. Georgia on the other hand had a good idea but intends to keep it to herself. When it came the time to point it out, Linda was the person to do it. "Does something seem off about this?" Nods or quiet, verbal replies came from Ash's lot that did not even disturb the quietness. Ella even gives Elesa a raised brow on how she's been acting since she took her spot on the battlefield, plus earlier when she met her while getting ready.

A referee wasn't present for this, but that didn't seem to matter to them since the battle was just an ordinary one between two Trainers with nothing to gain apart from experience.

Both of Elesa's eyes open, a hand already holding an enlarged Poké Ball, Ash had done the same. Although the two feel awkward due to a certain incident held back in their memories, this battle may provide the distraction needed to get their minds off it

"Don't expect me to hold back, Ash, because I'm going for the win!" She loudly said, then tosses the ball high. "It's time to shine, Eelektrik!" The ball burst open to unleash a Pokémon that was unfamiliar to them from Elesa's team, unless she caught something new at some point after they left. Only this one was in fact both new and old, for it was Tynamo's secondary evolution stage.

"Eeeelektriiik!"

Cilan gives a nod in confirmation while Iris seems surprised along with Axew and Pikachu. Georgia, Linda and Charles haven't seen Elesa battle before and thus wouldn't know what kind of Electric Pokémon she has.

"I had a feeling Tynamo evolved. The hints Elesa gave point to it, and the memory of Tynamo's absence while all the other Pokémon were playing came to mind. She probably made the decision to use Eelektrik before we got to the park." Cilan deduced while in a thinking pose.

Next was Ash to throw in his choice. "I choose you for this, Meloetta! Let's do our best!" The ball opens like Elesa's to unleash the Melody Pokémon, who elegantly appears in mid air on the field, a sweet smile and both arms spread, rather pleased at being used in an actual battle for once after she realised what was going on.

"Meloetta, mel!"

This time everyone on Ash's side became surprised at who was going to battle against Eelektrik. They see Meloetta as a sweet and gentle Pokémon mostly, not the type for battles despite the moves at her disposal.

Iris resisted the urge to get up there so she could give her friend a piece of her mind for what he did, though her voice was another thing. "Ash, are you crazy?! Out of all the Pokémon on you, why use Meloetta?"

Georgia notices said Pokémon had no problem at being picked. The way Meloetta readied herself being proof to that. "I don't think she minds. Take a look."

Meloetta rubs one fist formed hand against the opened one, the look in her eyes able to show she was ready for a fight rather than sing a beautiful song.

Cilan ponders on the why part for Meloetta's sudden tough side than Ash's decision, a hand to his chin while his eyes trained on the Pokémon. "Maybe being used as a training partner wasn't enough and she wants to get more involved. Or perhaps she got interested from watching Ash's Pokémon fight that she wanted a go herself and was shy to say something. It could be anything really."

"Either way you see it, it's too late now to reconsider." Eyes went to Charles at the good point he made. All they can do is watch how this battle will turn out.

"So Meloetta is the choice you decided on, huh? Then let's get this started, shall we? Would you mind if I make the first move, Ash?" Elesa kindly asks along with a gesture from her right hand after the given smile.

Said Trainer couldn't help but be a gentleman at the request. "Go ahead. We don't mind who goes first, right, Meloetta?"

A shake of the head was the only response the battle ready Meloetta gave before Elesa calls out the first move. "Eelektrik, use Thunderbolt!"

Its body became surrounded in electricity then launched at the target that trusted Ash to think of something to get out of harms way.

"Meloetta, use Psychic to avoid the hit!"

Both eyes immediately went into a light blue glow, arms out like in training with Unfezant yesterday. When the attack came close she was able to divert its course to the right corner of the field.

The move made a good impression on everyone, those that knew Meloetta especially since it was the first time she did that. But it didn't mean it was over, not by a long shot.

"Okay, Hyper Voice attack!" Ash calls out. Pleased at the female Pokémon's performance at the way she dodged, now a bit eager to see how an offence will work.

Meloetta took in a breath before letting loose a horrible, echoing shout that brought along multiple transparent rings at her opponent. Eelektrik found it difficult to ignore since the sound alone almost bursts its hearing. The attack even pushed it a bit and almost got sent flying had it not braced itself, though the pain was different.

When it came to an end, Eelektrik manages to shake it off, allowing Elesa to give the next command. "Eelektrik, Bind!"

Said Pokémon sped up to get in close, but Meloetta would not remain still as it occurs and just moves out of the way, only to have Eelektrik continue its attempt for a bit until Ash thought of something.

"Meloetta, Close Combat!"

She never performed the move when out of Pirouette form before, although there is a first time for everything. When her opponent got near enough she lets off a series of punches and kicks that got it to cease the Bind attempt to move away at a distance after the damage was dealt.

Ash's side cheers the Melody Pokémon on to keep it up, Cilan being the one to compliment how she was doing. "Meloetta is doing great so far. If she keeps it up Ash might win, although I wouldn't count Eelektrik out just yet." The battle only started so there was no reason to make assumptions yet.

"Zap Cannon!"

A blast of electricity shoots forth from Eelektrik's body, going straight for a surprised Meloetta.

"Quick Meloetta, divert it like you did that Thunderbolt with Psychic!" Ash exclaims. Being too late, not wanting to watch as the attack struck. Sounds of pain came from her mouth, being in the middle of performing Psychic at the time to do anything else.

The electric attack soon ceased and Meloetta came close to the floor had she not quickly recovered, a hand on the side of her head as she levitates back up. Just when things were thought to be good, electrical sparks suddenly flew from her body that brought a reaction due to the paralysis effect Zap Cannon brought.

"Oh, no, this isn't good." A worried Linda spoke. Even though they knew of Zap Cannons effect, the woman still explains it. "Meloetta's going to have a problem now that she's been paralyzed thanks to Zap Cannon."

Georgia looks back to the field, confident on one thing. "As long as Meloetta can fight off the effect long enough, she still has a chance to fight."

Ash couldn't help but ask out of concern at the sight of Meloetta holding herself, head down also with a single eye open, little sparks still shown from what he could see. "Meloetta, do you feel okay to keep going? Do you want to pack it in? I won't be mad if you want to." Recollection from what happened with Mienshao made him want to say the last part.

The Melody Pokémon looks to him, able to feel a little better by not needing the use of her arms to keep hold of herself, the closed eye now half open. A gentle smile was given as an assumption to indicate it, though it was the shaken head that was the real answer. Meloetta's gaze then moves back to her opponent in the form of a glare.

Her response made Ash chuckle, unable to think what could be the reason why she kept going, devotion, stubbornness or to prove something, maybe something else. Either way he didn't want to argue, continuing with the battle is all the two can do right now. "Okay, if you insist. I think it's about time for a change with Relic Song, don't you think?"

Meloetta didn't mind by the nod she gave, even understood the meaning behind it, able to pull off a beautiful melody that has a painful effect on Eelektrik. As for herself, a sphere of light appears around her, transforming her body while the song kept going. When it was over the sphere vanishes to reveal Meloetta in in Pirouette form.

She elegantly twirls like a ballerina till she came close to the floor, a big smile and arms spread at their sides. Unfortunately the effect of paralysis ruined the entrance by making itself known. Although she got through it so a battle stance can be made to show nothing has changed in the decision made.

Since it was the first time seeing Meloetta like this, Georgia, Linda, Charles, Elesa and Ella stood in astonishment at what happened, up till the end after she revealed herself in her new form. Cilan, Iris, Pikachu and Axew however looked on in worry, wondering if she'll do fine in the state she's in.

"Wow… I've never seen anything like that before." Elesa said in awe, eyes wide and mouth almost agape had she not remembered what she was doing that got her to shake her head to help snap out of it. "But I'm afraid it won't help you against this, Ash. Eelektrik, attack with Zap Cannon!"

This time the raven haired young man was ready. "Dodge, then Hyper Voice!"

Although the dodge was successful by a levitated twirl out of the way when the attack came at her, Meloetta could not perform the latter due to the electrical surge going through her body that prevented it to be used.

Elesa saw this as a chance and therefore took it. A hand shot out as the next command came. "Bind!"

By the time paralysis came to a halt to allow movement, Eelektrik already had its prey in its hold after wrapping itself round her, now able to put the squeeze on Meloetta as she struggles to break free.

Ash didn't like the sight of it, able to think of the right move to get the female Pokémon out but is unsure whether or not it might work. "Meloetta, get Eelektrik off with Psychic!"

The attempt has been made, though Eelektrik did not make it easy for the Melody Pokémon to concentrate in using the attack. When it didn't work it brought Meloetta to go back to what she was doing before.

"Ash, do something! Meloetta has to get out of that Bind or it might be all over!" Georgia yells to make sure he heard every word.

Ash grits his teeth, especially when his opponent's next move came from her lips. "Keep your hold and use Crunch." The sight of Eelektrik move upwards while still holding on made Ash glare. Then a thought came when the Electric type opens its mouth that made him say in haste. "There's no way she's going down without a fight. Meloetta, aim your Hyper Voice up!"

Hesitation or question was not shown when the order got carried out. Meloetta's head shoots up and the horrid sound blast follows, along with the transparent rings. It got Eelektrik off guard that it went flying, releasing Meloetta in the process; almost hitting the ground had it not recovered in time.

"Thunderbolt!"

"Get in there for Close Combat!"

The electric attack missed twice since the moveable target was able to dodge them, using enough speed to get up close to perform the ordered move. The attack knocks Eeletrik back a bit further from where it was after a good kick at the end.

Ella looks on in amazement at the Pokémon Ash chose, intrigued how she can keep going despite its condition, being the same one that emerged in the form of electrical bolts that affected her a little. "This Meloetta sure is one tough Pokémon." She then paid notice to Elesa so a question could be asked. "Do you think Eelektrik will last?"

To be truthful, the Gym Leader wasn't sure herself. From what she can remember no challenger she fought could last this long while under the paralysis effect, unless the Pokémon was that strong to take it for it to last in a battle. It made Elesa bring forth a smile, rather interested to see how far this gets until one gives in and faints. "We'll just have to wait and see… Elektrik, Thunderbolt!"

"Move out of the way!" Ash exclaims at the time the Electric type charges up for the attack. Unfortunately he stood and watches as the evasive option failed due to the electricity going through Meloetta's system to make her body unresponsive. Then he couldn't watch when Thunderbolt struck, able to pick up the painful cry she was in from it.

Suddenly an idea came to mind that might work, allowing Ash to open his eyes to see Meloetta on her knees on the floor, panting after the recent electrocution she took. The sight of her condition made Ash give support for what he had in store. "Meloetta! I need you to hang in there a bit more for me on this one, okay?"

Time was not to be wasted on Elesa's part for what she called on next. "Time for Bind, Eelektrik!"

Said Pokémon shoots towards its only target on the field, who manages to get on her feet, though still regaining her breath.

Ash quickly puts his plan into action while he still has time. "I want you to go as high as you can, Meloetta!" He even points up to help understand things, even though what he revealed so far may seem confusing to those that haven't figured it out yet, being everyone.

Thinking it to be a way to evade the attack, Elesa simply orders Eelektrik to follow. "Go after her and keep to Bind!" Her eyes kept to the Pokémon's movements, even when it did as she said and follows the Melody Pokémon into the air.

A smile emerges on Ash that brought out the next part of the idea after a decent altitude was gained. "Okay, now drop then use Close Combat!"

What came was a free fall on Meloetta's part until her feet were level with Eelektrik to deliver hit after hit, able to give a final punch that sent it dropping. Although it did manage to recover halfway to the ground as Meloetta straightens herself. From the looks on both it could go either way depending on the next move.

"Zap Cannon!"

Even though Elesa used what seems necessary, Ash called on the first thing that came to mind. "Relic Song!"

As the Electric type was about to launch the attack, Meloetta's own reached it in time to send Zap Cannon off course due to the damage that just got inflicted. The electric attack struck the wall behind the target as the familiar sphere appears once again. When it drops it reveals her in Aria form, sweat on her brow and starting to feel tired, though able to keep going a little longer.

He could see the condition the first time battle was taking to her, but it made Ash proud to see Meloetta last this long. Training was indeed different than battles for her because the latter doesn't allow breaks, and Meloetta isn't used to it unless she has longer training hours to help get used to it. But first Ash has to take care of this one before he decides anything should the Melody Pokémon wish to continue battling for him. "Okay, it's time to send Eelektrik packing. Meloetta, take it down with Psychic!"

Resistance on the paralysis effect was long enough to gather the power and concentration needed to envelop Eelektrik in its energy. It was like gravity got turned up for the trapped Pokémon because of the force its body felt, unable to hold itself up as that same force brought Eelektrik down to the floor hard. Even though it received damage from the impact, the injured Pokémon tries to break free from the Psychic attack still in effect, not doing a good job due to the state of its body.

Elesa looks on in concern for her Pokémon, then looks up to see Meloetta struggle to keep hold of the concentration while trying to ignore paralysis, even though the small sparks in various parts made it known that it can't be held long. With a sigh there was one thing she could think of to do to save the dual type more pain. "I give up."

The call brought confusion since both Pokémon were still able to move, though one could faint at any moment. Without a need to ask Elesa why, Ash was just relieved because Meloetta could stop the attack. "Meloetta, we won, you can stop."

She too felt the same after Psychic got cancelled, thus releasing Eelektrik from her hold. Now that it was over she could rest, unfortunately her body grew weak that she began to fall without the use of Levitation.

Everyone gasps, calling out Meloetta's name as Ash runs onto the field, able to successfully catch the tired Pokémon in his arms. He holds her close; being glad it was over for her than the win. "You did fantastic, Meloetta. Although I should've been the one to call it off since you didn't seem to be doing well. Now look at the state you're in. Riley would probably have my head if he saw you like this." Both eyes were closed so he couldn't see the hand raised to his cheek, in the form of a soft slap instead of hard since she needed the rest. Plus paralysis was still in affect so that didn't help much either.

It was still felt on his skin, enough for Ash to open his eyes to see the frown on Meloetta aimed at him for what he said. He didn't get the reason by the look of confusion, even asks out of concern. "What's wrong?"

An answer came once Cilan's voice made it to his ears. "I don't think Meloetta would've been pleased herself if you threw in the towel, Ash." Ash looks back to find his friends stood there in worry. Iris was in her bag looking for something while Axew was on the ground along with Pikachu. Both Pokémon move in close to try and get a better look at their friend after Ash got down on a knee to show them.

Before Ash could say anything, Iris had a big smile after she brought out what she was looking for. "I found it! Give Meloetta this to get rid of the paralysis." She hands a Cheri berry to the young man, who gave gratitude to his friend before he tries to feed it to the Melody Pokémon that refused. She was aware of the spicy taste and would rather wait till she gets to the Pokémon Center to be fully healed, but Ash wouldn't have it.

"Why did you give up the match? Both sides didn't look like they'd last long, means it was only a matter of time for one to collapse." Ella asks, standing behind Elesa with arms folded, a brow arched while watching the kneeled model console Eelektrik on the loss before she returns it to its ball.

After doing so, an answer came once she stood up, blue eyes now on the group, a small smile to the relieved expression Ash had after he was able to feed the berry to Meloetta. "Meloetta looked like she was willing to go the limits in that battle, despite injuries and effect. If she did that while paralysis was in affect there's no telling what lengths she'd go to. Also I think she could've lasted more than Eelektrik, so I merely sped up the defeat."

"Huh." Ella's gaze moves to Ash who now stood with Meloetta still in his arms, focused more on the latter. "She sure is an interesting Pokémon. Although after more training she can last longer in battles."

It made Elesa giggle, able to give a good comment. "I think she did just fine. Plus it's Ash's call to make; I'm not going to suggest it. You saw the worry on his face, right?" She didn't have to look to see her point was one to agree on. It was obvious this was indeed what both Ash and Elesa needed to forget about last night, not unless the subject is brought up.

Pokémon Center

It took a bit but both Meloetta and Eelektrik were better to leave the Pokémon Center, where Ash, Iris, Cilan, Georgia, Linda, Charles and Ella stood outside the building, Elesa not being around for some reason. Pikachu was on top of Ash's head, Axew held onto Iris' left shoulder and Accelgor next to Charles.

Ash lets out a healthy Meloetta from her Poké Ball, giving an elegant twirl to the lot as the light fades, a smile given as if the battle never happened to affect her happy personality. The win was fresh in her memory, even though it wasn't a proper one, that she levitates near Ash to ask hopefully, her paddle hands clasped in front. (Did I really do fantastic in the battle like you said, Ash?)

The question made Ash and some of the others that understood laugh a little because the match was the only thing on her mind. Her Trainer simply rubs the top of her head as he speaks his mind. "I'm just glad you came out of it with no serious injuries."

It wasn't what she wanted to hear, being the reason why Meloetta turns to the right in a huff, arms folded at the lack of confirmation. It made Cilan and Iris exchange a look, Georgia's head to shake at Ash's choice of words, and the rest left it to said person to sort it out.

The Kanto native scratches the back of his head at the mistake, hoping to make it better to get back on Meloetta's good side by saying what she would like to hear. "And yes, I did mean it. You did a fantastic job for your first battle, Meloetta." Those right words earned him the embrace that came all of a sudden because of the speed she moved. Pikachu held on tight to the cap due to the quick movement, able to keep his place.

Charles steps forth to ask out of curiosity, also to change the subject. "So, do you guys have any plans when you reach Nimbasa Town, or are you just going to pass on through until you reach Castelia City?"

Ash didn't manage to get a word in on this due to interference from Iris. "Who would say no with what Nimbasa Town has to offer?" Even Cilan steps in to speak his mind. "I was occupied when we were there due to an event the subway was having, so it wouldn't hurt to stop and properly take in the sights." It was more on Cilan's part than the others since he spoke the truth.

A new but familiar voice joins in. "It's been a while since I've been there, but I think I might be able to show you some places you may not have gone to yet." All look behind the adults to find, to their surprise, Elesa, but it was the attire she wore that got their attention.

Black, fitting cargo jeans, a white, buttoned, short sleeved shirt with a yellow, opened, lightweight body warmer over it, a black and lightning bolt designed Pokétch {Latest Model Version.} on her right wrist, including white and blue shoes made for travel. Also a black backpack with a couple lightning bolts on both side pockets, plus a yellow Poké Ball design on the third compartment at the front, the straps being grey, and a brown belt that has an item pouch strapped to the back to carry some emergency stuff when needed.

"Elesa, why are you doing dressed like that?" Ella was the one to ask, even though she could take a guess.

The answer came out as no big deal for her, but to the others it froze them in their place as if they got shocked. "I'm going to spend my vacation time by going along with Ash and his friends."

The looks on their faces were priceless, eyes widen, mouth's open, even words were unable to form due to the made announcement. A speechless Ash, who still held onto Meloetta, couldn't even believe it. It also distracted him enough to not realise a certain image came to mind that would make him feel awkward while being in the model/Gym Leaders presence, like right now for instance.

Elesa's decision was final after a conversation, so Ella gave her Eelektrik's Poké Ball then bids farewell along with Linda and Charles as the group of 5 travellers took off to their next destination. Before she left, Elesa gave Ella a small job to do since she didn't have time, which she was doing at the privacy of the Gym on the nearest video phone she could find because of the eagerness to tell the person she was told to relay the message to.

Laughter was made between the two females like they were schoolgirls after the message was given along with some other things. Skyla was on the screen, unable to breathe from the laughter she did, now trying to get it back once the two finally calmed down. "Oh, boy, I really appreciate the message. I can't believe Elesa is out of the city to do something that isn't work related."

Ella couldn't believe it either, arms folded as she lets off a giggle then said. "I know, took me by surprise too. She said it's a way to spend her vacation, a reason to get out and travel again before she became a Gym Leader. I think it might be for a different reason."

Both did not need to think long since it came out in less than a minute in a unified voiced. "Ash." An imagination of Elesa in denial came to mind that got them to giggle again till they decide to change the topic a little.

"Hey, if she calls with anything of interest, I'll call you on your Poké Gear to let you know." Skyla kindly informs, rather happy she has someone to share stuff with aside from her fellow Gym Leader that is not only the same gender but also her best friend.

A thought came to mind that got the agent to say in confusion. "I don't remember giving you my number."

Skyla dug round on what might be a desk from the sounds of papers being moved, even drawers opening then closing. Eventually a paper was held up with numbers and Ella's name on it. "Elesa gave it to me in case I couldn't get a hold of her and there might be something wrong. She thought you wouldn't mind."

Indeed she didn't, although it would've been nice to be notified on such things. "I'm sure there's a reason why I wasn't told. Oh well, can't lecture someone when they're not here… unless she decides to call. It was nice chatting with you, Skyla."

"Same. I hope we can do it again when we're not busy. Have to go now, so bye!" The Flying type user waves a goodbye before the call ends by the blank screen.

Ella smiles at it a bit longer. Their chats don't go on for that long, normally business related or short conversations, things in different relations take a bit longer depending on the topic. What they had moments ago was by far the funniest since it was to do with a certain someone they know.

Speaking of that someone, Ella now looks up to the ceiling, able to imagine Elesa being in a happy mood, a look of hope that she'll be okay out there with Ash and the others, and returns safely. It was almost like she was a mother who's worried for her child, even though Elesa is grown up to look after herself. But then she couldn't help but worry, not as an agent to a client but as a friend, despite the teasing she's done among other things, like yesterday at the show for example.

'Be careful out there, Elesa…'

End of Chapter 4!

Preview for Chapter 5:

Ash's POV: What's to come for our new adventure? Time to find out!

(Cilan's POV)

Although we've made it to Nimbasa Town, our time of enjoyment is cut short due to Pokémon thievery that we must help take care of.

This Trainer Rosso we encountered seems interesting as we all work together to end this crime before anymore Pokémon are taken away from their caring owners for whatever purpose they are to be used for.

Rosso's Pokémon even catches Ash's eye that the two may even battle after the case is solved. I, Detective Connoisseur Cilan, shall see to it, for what I detect between these two is to be a spectacular battle that no one should miss!

Pokémon: Destiny Relic Hunters- 5: The Unexpected to Come.

I gave Elesa two Emolga's instead of keeping with just one, also gave them nicknames. Emi will be a funny aim as a way to teasing Iris' Emolga by using Pikachu, as you read in the chapter, along with possibly getting some other female Pokémon jealous also because of her act.

One more thing, keep an eye on the chapter index for the Info page, it will be shown a date to say it has been updated. Only this update will be a tiny bit.
