Thank you to everyone for sticking with the story, and reviewing. I wish I could have updated this way soon, but school has been hell. This is my last year of nursing, and its been hard. This is the last chapter and although there was much more I wish I could add in, I really think its time for this story to be over!

Carla was embarrassed how her body started to look, not only as a human, but as a wolf. Her breasts just seemed to get bigger and bigger. Her belly did the same. Everything about her body was wrong, and she hated every moment of it. Her wolf form wasn't any better. She would often describe herself as a meat loaf. Her stomach hung so low in her wolf form that she had to walk with her hind legs apart. Then there was her nipples, she didn't even want to talk about them.

Her stomach had almost made it impossible to run, so she walked slowly through the woods on their runs. Only two females stuck by her side at all times, and they were always Janice and Grace. The others hovered close. It was now normal to see a female wolf jump from behind the trees to peek on them before running off.

The male though were worse, they never seemed to stick around her long but they did make the odd appearance. They would jump out from behind something in a group of 3 or 4 and trot over to her. She always had to stand still as they walked circles around her, sticking their noses up her rear end. She learned quickly that this was a normal thing for males to do, they were just making sure that she and the baby were fine. When she had enough she would awkwardly turn around and snap at them. They always took the hint.

Her boyfriend on the other hand loved every moment of her bodies' expansion. His head seemed to find its way at her back end on too many occasions, and these occasions always led to sex. Carla couldn't help it, somehow Alcide sticking his nose up her rear turned her on.

Carla learned quickly that everyone in a pack didn't care who or what you were doing. There was this strange feeling of complete acceptance, because they all had sex in the woods.

The house Alcide was building was coming along quickly, just like their pack. They spent just about every Saturday working on the house, and a group of 15-20 men joined in. They spent the entire day drinking beer, and eating what food Carla provided. It was amazing to Carla how quickly the house was being built.

Their success didn't go unnoticed. The pack would slowly grow bigger, and before JD knew it the only ones left in his pack where the V users and Debbie. Debbie had gone on a long spree of crazy and stormed around almost all the time. She had planned to burn down the house they were building but it was only a pile of sticks. If anything were to become of burning the house down it would be nothing. They would all just rebuild what she had destroyed.

Her mind slowly churned and thought of all the crazy schemes she could do. Clenching her jaw she looked at JD who was tapping a letter opener on his kitchen table. The two of them were too strung out to think of a good idea, and they were slowly running out of time.

"That pregnant fucking skank!" Debbie muttered her eye twitching wildly, everything about Carla made her mad, her blonde hair, her job, her smile, and her less than interesting personality. Everything. But more than anything the thing that made her angry the most was her pregnancy, and her mating with Alcide. Alcide had given her everything that he would never gave her, and he had only known Carla for a few days.

Anger exploded through her chest again, and she yelled out the same thing she said moments before. "That pregnant, fucking skank!"

By now JD was sick of hearing this, because Debbie always brought it up. It was easy to see that she was displacing her anger onto a girl who knew nothing, the real problem was Alcide. Slamming the letter opener on the table JD looked up at Debbie and snapped, "I KNOW!"

If he heard her say it one more time he might rip her throat out. JD looked away from Debbie no longer being able to stand her face. He missed the smirk that came on her face, and she scooted herself into the chair across from him her chest painfully pressing up against the wood. She didn't care at this point she was too excited.

"I got an idea." She said the smile on her face getting wider by the second. Everything in her brain made sense at that moment, because Debbie was not a woman for logic. JD almost rolled his eyes and tiredly looked at Debbie.

A soft giggle came from her lips, "Have you ever seen a wolf with a broken bond?" she asked leaning forward giving JD a clear view of her breasts. JD was suddenly curious.

Bonds were impossible to break, unless one of the mates died. Then usually within a couple of weeks (if the other was lucky) the second one would follow. They were never the same after their mates died, and were often hallow shells. JD had seen his grandmother last 3 years before she died, where as his uncle had died within 48 hours. JD nodded his head, very aware where this conversation could go. A excited squeak came from Debbie, her idea was getting better and better as time passed.

"Then you know what happens, if we break the bond." She said watching JD carefully; he nodded his head the smirk on his face getting bigger and bigger as the idea sank in. By now Debbie was ready to explode.

"We will never get close to Alcide, but his girlfriend will only have a few female wolves around. She will be much easier to get to, and the best part is she knows nothing about fighting. We could take her down even before Alcide would know." A smile was shared between the two, they only needed 1 or 2 more wolves and with them all vamped up on V they would easily kill Carla and her ladies in waiting.

"Then it's a date!" JD said, leaning back in his chair.

Carla was waddling behind Janice and Grace, her feet were sore and she was trying to ignore the peaceful Alcide who kept grabbing at the scruff of her neck. She was not in the mood to play, whereas Alcide was. An annoyed growl rumbled from Carla's chest as he grabbed for her scruff again, stopping in mid bite when his mother snapped at him.

The mother and son yelped at each other both annoyed. Carla had noticed that the closer she got to due date, the more on edge everyone was. Grace had become an over protective force in Carla's life, and at times it seemed like the woman had moved into her house. Alcide's excitement was too much to handle. Carla quickly grew tired with everyone, and it wasn't odd to catch her napping in many places. Even during runs.

Alcide left his girlfriend's side in a huff, snorting as he joined another male who curiously peeked from behind a bush. Carla was happy to see him go, and groaning she laid down underneath a tree moving so her large belly wasn't being crushed. Her face laid in the soft dirt and she sorrowfully gave Grace a look of thanks. She was tired, and she wanted the baby out of her belly.

Grace returned a look of sympathy, trotting over to her. The warmth from someone else's body was welcoming, and the soft grooming from her teeth started to lure Carla into a soft slumber. Although before she thought it was odd to be at piece with so many people around, now she couldn't imagine living her life without it.

There was something about being a part of something much bigger then herself, and always having someone around that made her complete. She slowly started to understand what Alcide was talking about, and she would give anything to make sure she remained a part of a pack. She now understood how lone wolves went insane.

Carla had dozed off for a split few seconds but was brought back by the growling of Grace. Confused Carla opened her eyes too look around the forest floor. Her eyes were blurry from her quick nap and she couldn't see much of anything but she could smell something faint. It took a few moments to place it but when she did she stood up, her stomach heavily weighing down her legs.

Debbie.

The sudden surge of fear ran through Carla's stomach. She could have almost tossed up her lunch but fate would have something else in store. A few snaps of branches tore the three girl's attention away from the sent wafting from the other side before three wolves jumped out from behind them.

Janice was pinned onto her back, and stunned, as she struggled to get up the other two intruders jumped for Carla and Grace. Grace had done what instinct told her to do, and lunged herself at the largest wolf because there was no way Carla could take him on.

Carla yelped when Debbie grabbed her around the neck and started violently shaking her. Carla was fat and slow so trying to get any grip or upper hand of the situation was impossible. With a great force Debbie shoved her into the tree they were resting against. A loud screech of a yelp came from Carla as a hot burning pain ran up her stomach and spun her vision. It was impossible to fall into any type of unconsciousness because the constant shaking of her neck.

The amount of power behind Debbie was phenomenal and unnatural. It was clear she was on V. Debbie jerked her away from the tree before slamming her into it again. The same sharp pain that left her abdomen throbbing ripped through her again.

Too stunned to know what was going on in her surroundings Carla didn't notice that her mate and the other male he was with previously came barreling through the woods. Debbie's mouth suddenly unlatched Carla and she vanished. Debbie wasn't stupid enough to take on an angry male.

Carla didn't care, she was in too much pain. Her body painfully shifted and two things happened. First she vomited all the contents in her stomach, and the second a heat of liquid rushed from between her legs. No longer able to yelp she screamed.

The sound was enough to pull Alcide out of his animalistic rage. He had only just finished ripping apart the male (who was clearly JD) as the other three dealt with the other unknown attacker. JD had shifted back only to choke on his last few breaths.

Carla was in a mess of blood, vomit, and amniotic fluid. It sent Alcide on overdrive and with out any clear thoughts he shifted and picked her up into his arms in what seemed like fluid motion. He had to get her to a hospital, and he didn't care if she shifted in the emergency room half a dozen times.

The only thing he cared about was that she didn't die on him. Trees seemed to wiz by him, and he had only stopped once to pull her tightly back into his arms. The liquids on her skin made it hard to keep any grip on her.

The clearing couldn't come quickly enough to him, and the only thing he had eyes for was the truck. No one was in the clearing, which wouldn't have mattered anyway. He wouldn't allow anyone to help him at that moment. He didn't even care they he and Carla would be driving up to the ER naked. His arms were burning from the strain. He had to use a knee to hold up Carla's bottom as he fiddled with the car door.

With great care he placed Carla down in the passenger side ignoring the seatbelt. He slammed the passenger door behind and was running around the front of the truck when a brown car came flying into the clearing. Debbie was behind the wheel a look of pure rage on her face.

She leaned over to the passenger side and pulled out a rifle. She fought with the door and when she finally got it open she jumped out her eyes glowing. She cocked the gun, and slowly stepped towards him. Alcide released a growl in warning, but there wasn't much he could do against a rifle with his bare hands. For a split second he thought it was the end, until there was a shattering of glass and a gun shot.

He had though that Debbie had pulled the trigger but when she fell to the ground his mind reeled with confusion. Ears ringing, he turned to see where the shot had come from to discover that his driver's side window had been shot out. Carla was leaning back in the passenger seat, panting. He didn't see the gun in her hand until she groaned, leaned forward and placed it on the dash in front of her.

Her hands were shaking, and she rolled her eyes to see where her mate was. They only looked at each other for a split second. Alcide was terribly confused, and Carla was in large amounts of pain. His mind had yet to click in that Carla was the one to kill Debbie. It was like there was a wall in his mind, and no matter how hard he tried to get past it he couldn't.

"That bitch killed my dogs." She said simply, rolling her head along the back of the car seat. She could feel the waves of pain coming closer together, and the feeling was unreal to her. It was at this moment that Alcide's thoughts had clicked. Continuing with his plan to get Carla to the hospital he jumped into his truck.

A storm of family members rushed into the hospital hours later. If it was up to Grace she would have been in the room with her son and Carla hours before but the snarky nurse at the front desk refused to let them in.

Grace kept coming up to the desk to argue with the woman who was just as pig headed as she was. Finally after their long wait the nurse had told them that they had the all clear to go in, and it wasn't because of Grace's persistent asking, but because her son had allowed it.

Grace had nearly lost her mind, and told the nurse that if she had asked before that Alcide would have said yes hours ago. The nurse brushed her off and continued to do her job.

Grace didn't even greet her son instead she blurted out "How is she?" and stormed past him, into the room. Leaving behind Janice and Alicide who rolled their eyes at their mother's behaviour. There was a loud squeal of joy seconds later, and the siblings knew it was only a matter of minutes before Carla became over whelmed.

"I'm assuming she's fine?" Janice asked, following her brother into the room.

"Yes, didn't shift at all." He said proudly, not many women could manage that.

"And the baby?" Janice asked, peering behind the curtain separating Carla's room from the next person. Carla was laying on her side, her arms wrapped around her stomach. She was carefully watching Grace who was holding a bundle.

"6 pounds!" He said his face beaming with even more pride. Grace was still carrying on in the room, rambling on about how beautiful the baby was.

"Is that really all you're going to tell me? Or am I going to have to find out myself?!" she snapped, she didn't care how much the baby weighed she only wanted to know one thing and she had already been pressuring them about it for months.

"Boy." He said simply, watching his sisters eyes glitter with excitement. She would have much rather preferred a girl, but she knew between the two of them there was at least another 3 kids. She could get her niece later.

Janice didn't say anything else to her brother. She simply turned on her heel and slid herself into the room where she was going to fight her mother for the right to hold the baby. Alcide let out a deep rumble of a laugh. He could use this time to tend to Carla, knowing that his son was going to be well taken care of.
