The Original was stood, utterly motionless at the window of the dorm, hands flat on the cool and fogged up glass, staring out at the rain that was hammering down outside, bouncing off the car roofs, loud as a bulldozer, filling his ears.
But now he breathed out, resting his forehead against the freezing glass, listening to the patter and tinkling as the stray drops hit the window.
He tapped the window lightly with his left index finger, hearing the hurried footsteps outside, eyes still closed.
The bang on the window outside made his eyes snap open, staring at the bedraggled teenager before him, sopping wet and shivering a little.
Ah, Jeremy.
His newest "Babysitting" project.
Kol stepped back from the window, over to the front door in a flash and pulled it open, stepping aside and smirking as the young man rushed in out the wet.
"Get caught did we?" He mused, sitting down on the sofa and crossing his ankles, watching with a light smirk as Jeremy tossed his rucksack to the floor and yanked his coat off, "eurgh"-ing under his breath as he went into the bathroom and grabbed a towel, making Kol go.
"Oi, that's the last one I have left. Don't you dare soak it Lad!"
All Jeremy did was throw it at his "so-called" the soaking towel, going. "Lad? You're what- a couple of months older than me? Or something?"
Try a thousand.
"Hmm, yes. About that. Lad."
Jeremy scoffed, then shook his head, picking his bag up from the floor and set it on the side, going. "You're such a dick at times."
The Original smirked widely. "I'll take that as a compliment."
The sound of the zipper of Jeremys bag sounded now, and Kol cocked his head, narrowing his eyes at something-
"What is-?"
He pulled himself to his feet and was over in a few quick, as human as possible steps, snagging the grey bundle of fur it seemed from inside.
"Hey-!" Was Jeremys reply, his rucksack falling to the floor, and Kol held the thing up high, laughing as he went-
"And who is this fellow?"
He stepped back and held it in his hands before him, shaking his head in disbelief at the stuffed koala teddy.
Kol smirked now, looking up at Jeremy who shrugged. "What? I bought him with me."
The Original poked the teddies nose, letting Jeremy snag it back and Kol went, amused. "I thought I was your only friend here in Denver? I'm hurt you kept this a secret(!)"
Jeremy cocked his head too, smirking as he compared the "young" man before him and the koala.
"He looks like you."
Kol scoffed, folding his arms. "I'm being compared to a koala?"
Jeremy grinned, fiddling with its ear. "Yeah. I'm going to call him Kol now."
"…am I supposed to be feeling insulted or ecstatic at that?"
Jeremy shrugged, tossing the koala to the Original. "Whichever man. I've had him for years."
Kol couldn't help but be fascinated…
The dumb assed boy.
Still- it was better than hanging around that depressing and infuriating hybrid. The bratty little sister that fell for the first thing that smiled at her…
The list went on.
Kol glanced to Jeremy who was disappearing into the bedroom to change, thinking about why he was doing this shit.
Eh. At least he had entertainment.
When Jeremy came back out, Kol nodded to the window, going as he tapped his bat to the boys head, poking his shoulder. "It's stop raining. Throw me a few balls."
"You hit the last ten over the fence… and we never found them."
"Eh, my bad."
Jeremy scoffed, picking up his own bat, shaking his head. "And that ball you hit and utterly destroyed?"
"I guess I don't know my own strength." Kol shrugged for his answer, poking Jeremys chest with the end of his bat.
"Aww, don't be a miserable fool. Come on."
"Will you stop poking me then?"
"Probably not."
Jeremy rolled his eyes and gave up-
Kol always won the poke wars.
