Chapter 46: Dominion of Chaos
The team traveled back to Bright Land. The town near Apollomon's Castle was still in ruins from DarkKnightmon's assault a few days ago. Many citizens were in hiding, fearing a follow-up attack. Those who weren't tried to clear away the debris from the main roads. If DarkKnightmon was able to create this much damage, one could only imagine what would be left if ExoGrimmon is freed.
"Apollomon, where are Shoutmon and the other Xros Heart members?" Slayerdramon asked.
"They went after DarkKnightmon last night." the lion informed us, "Only a handful of their soldiers remain in the kingdom."
While walking through the streets, Dorbickmon scanned the area around us. He noticed a small digimon reaching into one of the craters near the center of town.
"Don't let go Tokomon!" a small bunny digimon yelled into the crater. Dorbickmon wondered what kind of situation would make the digimon go near such an obvious death trap. The dragon dug his claws into the ground to scan the terrain. He noticed the presence of a digimon inside the sinkhole, holding onto a small opening in the wall.
"I'm slipping Terriermon!" the small digimon cried out. It may have been a nervous twitch, or pure instinct, but Dorbickmon took action. Using his terrain manipulation, the crater wall stretched out and created a platform underneath the Tokomon just before he fell. Terriermon was shocked, but quickly pulled his small friend out and back onto solid ground. The two hugged each other and scurried off to a much safer area. Dorbickmon watched them leave. For some reason, he felt a strange feeling build up inside him. He couldn't describe it, but seeing those two digimon safe made him feel at ease.
"Hey Dorbickmon!" Dracomon ran over to him.
"H-huh?!" Dorbickmon was jolted awake from his thoughts.
"What's wrong Dorbickmon?" Dracomon asked, "Everyone's already on the other side of town."
"O-oh...are they...?" the dragon scratched the back of his head. "It's just...something distracted me."
"Hurry! Otherwise we might get left behind!" Dracomon led the way. Dorbickmon followed after the little dragon. They eventually caught up with the group near the outskirts of town.
Apollomon led the team toward a lush forest covered entirely in fog. All except for the remains of a tall tower.
"We're almost there." Apollomon informed us, "Let us make haste."
The fog grew denser as we made our way through. The trees eventually reached up higher than what our eyes could see. The pathway also grew narrower the deeper we explored, indicating that our destination was nearby. In the center of this entire area was a large, circular, stone slab that was covered by debris. Only one wall remained intact, which reached up into the sky. No doubt about it; this was the tower. What remained of it though made it appear more like a battleground.
"This is it." Apollomon declared. On the other side of the wall, we noticed Olegmon waiting. He wasn't alone however.
"Hey, Gumdramon and Tagiru are with him!" Dracomon exclaimed. The three met up with our group.
"Hey guys!" Gumdramon greeted us. "Haven't seen you all since that tournament a few months ago!"
"What have you two been up to during that time?" Rob asked.
"We traveled with Gokuwmon a few days after the finals." Tagiru explained. "Shoutmon contacted us about what was happening, so we helped clear out the lower hemisphere from the dark areas."
"So then...that just leaves Fanglongmon." Dracomon mentioned.
"Fanglongmon..." Tagiru muttered. "Oh! That yellow dragon that hangs out with Dorbickmon, right?"
"You saw him?!" Dracomon jaw dropped.
"Yeah." Tagiru replied, "We ran into him on our way here. We invited him."
"Fanglongmon's here...?" Dorbickmon overheard our conversation. He scanned the visible area. Sure enough, the dragon in question was near one of the smaller ruins.
"...go talk to him" I suggested. It was strange to see Dorbickmon so apprehensive. Especially when it comes to his former comrade-in-arms. He took a deep breath before making his move.
"...Fanglongmon." Dorbickmon stumbled over his words. Part of him wondered if his former comrade-in-arms was aware of what had recently transpired. He wondered if Fanglongmon knew about what happened to Examon.
"...that tone in your voice." Fanglongmon noticed. "There's a lot to discuss isn't there?"
"...you always were good at figuring out when I was troubled...I'd expect no less from you."
The two stepped away, heading into a quieter part of the forest. Once alone, the two dragons began to converse.
"You've been away for a very long time..." Dorbickmon said. Fanglongmon stared up at the small rays of sunlight piercing through the tree leaves.
"I've spent quite a while traveling. It allowed me to collect my thoughts regarding issues that...troubled me."
"Gumdramon said he met up with you during that time." Dorbickmon mentioned.
"Yes...and now I find myself here." the yellow dragon replied. He glanced back at Dorbickmon with a stern look.
"Dorbickmon, do you still believe in using others? In trusting no one other than yourself?" he posed the question.
"That's why you left..." Dorbickmon's intuition kicked in, "You knew my deception wouldn't last."
"...would you have listened if I had tried to reason with you?"
"...no." Dorbickmon shook his head. "Even the other Death Generals tried and failed. I also know that everyone still has their doubts about me." The Fire General bit his lip, hesitating to bring up the biggest consequence of his actions. But he knew it would only burden him if he kept denying the truth. "I'm the reason the Dragon Emperor has fallen…"
"...so it's true." Fanglongmon muttered.
"Fanglongmon, you have every right to doubt me." Dorbickmon admitted, "But...I need your help."
The two continued to talk silently. The rest of us couldn't help but wonder what all the commotion was about.
"So, who's going to go interrupt them?" Slayerdramon asked. No one took a second glance before turning to the usual suspect; me.
"H-huh...?"
"Well, you ARE his partner." Dracomon pointed out.
"And you two still need to work things out." Rob added. Everyone kept leaning towards me, waiting for the peer pressure to kick in.
"Alright! Alright! Geez..." I reluctantly surrendered. I made my way towards the two dragons. They seemed to have wrapped up their conversation when they noticed me.
"Is something wrong?" Dorbickmon asked.
"N-no." I couldn't help but still become apprehensive around Dorbickmon despite his recent change. "I-I just thought we could talk for a bit..."
"O-oh..." Dorbickmon nonchalantly scratched his cheek with his claw. For some reason, he was avoiding eye-contact.
"...I'll be with the others. And it is good to see you are alright." Fanglongmon said. He left the two of us alone. The prying eyes around us made it feel a lot more awkward.
"Let's...talk away from the gossip circle...if that's alright with you." I suggested. The two of us found a quieter area a little far from the path. At least here, Slayerdramon and company wouldn't bother us.
"So...we're moments away from what could be the final act." I looked at Dorbickmon. He seemed bothered by something. The look in his eyes was a dead giveaway.
"You seem nervous." he noted. Was it that obvious to him?
"Y-yeah..." I confessed. "It's weird...during all our previous battles...part of me always believed that you would come to help us. Even if your demeanor back then was anything but caring..."
"You're worried about our teamwork." Dorbickmon didn't sugarcoat it.
"That intuition of yours is that good, huh...or am I just easy to read..."
"A little bit of both..." the dragon muttered.
"To put it simply, I'm worried that I'll end up being a bigger burden to you now that we're finally cooperating. You're the more experienced general after all..."
"Even the most experienced make mistakes." he shook his head. "Don't compare yourself to me. Focus instead on what you can do to help."
"...spoken like a true veteran." I noticed.
"And if that's difficult, then remember Examon's parting words." he suggested.
"...'trust in each other'." the words came to me like it was an instinct.
"It's my turn to prove myself." Dorbickmon declared. "To you, and to the fallen emperor."
"Dorbickmon..."
He walked up to me. And then proceeded to completely ruin the moment by messing up my hair with his claws.
"H-hey!"
"We'll call that 'trust exercise number one'." a big smirk appeared on his face. Was that him trying to lighten up the mood? When did he develop a sense of humor...
"Wait up!" I ran after him. We joined up with Apollomon and the rest of the group. All the debris in the ruins was cleared away, revealing the floor underneath.
"Below this ground lies the entryway into Hell's Field. Is everyone prepared?" he asked one last time. Everyone nodded in unison. Apollomon clapped his hands together, focusing his energy. The floor around us started glowing. Soon after, it started to slowly descend. Everyone remained silent as if it was the calm before the storm. Everything was proceeding smoothly until the floor started shaking.
"What's happening?!" Gumdramon exclaimed.
"We're approaching the portal, everyone brace for impact!" Apollomon warned. Our descent sped up and a blinding light engulfed the entire area. A few minutes passed before the shaking subsided.
"Is everyone alright?!" Slayerdramon asked.
"Wait, where are we?" Dracomon looked around, "This isn't Hell's Field!"
We scanned our surroundings and noticed he was right. The entire area was a blank void. Debris was floating around us, slowly decaying into data. Upon closer inspection, we noticed the ruins of a fortress not too far from our location. Half of it was still standing.
"Over there! We can use it as a makeshift base." Chaosdramon suggested. The team followed the cyborg.
"T-this is the white castle..." Dracomon recognized it. Chaosdramon and his brothers searched around, clearing away some of the rubble from the path.
"Dorbickmon, is there any way you can use what's left of the terrain to stabilize the foundation?" I asked. He placed his hand on the ground and closed his eyes. The dragon scanned the terrain for any Ley lines that were still intact.
"...it's quite fragile, but there are a few spots that I can make use of." he glanced up. With a flash of his eyes, parts of the ground rose up. Dorbickmon used them as support beams for the crumbling debris, making the whole place stable enough to explore the upper sections. Rob, Tagiru, Gumdramon, Dracomon and I climbed up to the top of the castle. We came across the remains of an observatory. The entire room was destroyed apart from the floor and a ruined throne. From our vantage point, it was possible to see the whole landscape. There wasn't much to look at though; debris and the endless void surrounded the place. A damaged circular gem was located in the center of the floor.
"What's this doing here?" Rob wondered. Dracomon inspected the object.
"If I'm not mistaken, this gem let us communicate with one similar to the other castle that was once on the other side of this area."
"So then...where did the other castle end up?" Gumdramon crossed his arms, thinking.
"I'm glad you asked, little dragon..." someone's voice echoed. The gem started glowing, displaying a hologram.
"BasiliskKnightmon!"
"Welcome to The Void..." he greeted us with a sneer.
"The Void...? Isn't this Hell's Field.?!" Dracomon exclaimed.
"It was. After its destruction, many parts of data gathered over a period of time and it was reborn as something new. This place you are in now is the leftover data that was scrapped." he gave us a basic rundown in a condescending tone of voice. "It only exists to serve as a gateway between Bright Land and the Chaotic Dominion."
"You know quite a lot about this place..." Gumdramon muttered, suspicious.
"Is it really that hard to figure out?" BasiliskKnightmon mocked us, "I would imagine anyone would know a lot about their own home..."
"You live here...?!" Dracomon's eyes widened.
"Why so surprised?" the knight smirked, "I wouldn't have been able to stay under the radar so easily if I was wandering around the surface."
"This means you have the home field advantage..." Gumdramon concluded.
"Something like that..."
BasiliskKnightmon looked around and noticed me. His sneer faded away, replaced with an annoyed frown.
"You..." he scoffed, "Why am I not surprised that you managed to survive..."
"...you killed Examon."
"What of it?" he taunted, "You seem to care so much for a dragon who rarely stood by your side. What kind of knight lets an inexperienced human waltz into trouble..."
"Shut up! What could you know about him?!" I snapped. The sneer on his face widened.
"What does that have to do with anything?" he interrupted, "He challenged me, we fought, and he lost. End of story."
"Y-you...!"
"Don't waste your breath boy." he berated me, "You alone will never have enough skill to stand against me."
"He won't be alone." Dorbickmon spoke up. He climbed up to where we were. BasiliskKnightmon let out growl.
"Dorbickmon..."
"We are going to make sure you don't get away with murdering the Dragon Emperor..." he boldly declared.
"Oh, isn't this a sight to behold..." BasiliskKnightmon remarked, "The most pitiful dragon of them all being a team player."
"We won't stop until we track you down." Dorbickmon threatened. The knight scoffed.
"If Xros Heart and the Royal Knights haven't found me, what makes you think you can?"
"Taiki...where are they?!" Tagiru yelled.
"They're having the time of their lives fighting my army of digimon." BasiliskKnightmon smirked.
"How can you still have reinforcements?!" Rob exclaimed.
"It's quite simple when you've gathered as much negative data as I have..." he cackled.
"Wait... so all those digimon..."
"Are simply a collection of dark energy." he revealed, "The only real digimon in my army are my commanders. Most of whom you've bested."
"We have to go help Taiki!" Dracomon yelled.
"Good luck finding them..." BasiliskKnightmon sneered.
"What's that mean..." Dorbickmon glared at him.
"Where they are and where I am are the same world..." he explained, "However, the gateway connecting The Void to the Chaotic Dominion is inconsistent. If you enter from your side, you won't know where you'll end up."
"In other words, you can get to us, but there's no guarantee that we can warp to you." Dorbickmon concluded.
"I'd expect no less from your deductive reasoning, dragon..." BasiliskKnightmon admitted. "It's a shame you decided to seek revenge. You could have served me well..."
"I'd rather lose an arm and a leg than go back to being your pawn..." Dorbickmon growled.
"Heh." BasiliskKnightmon sneered, "That might happen sooner than you think. Try not to die out there. And enjoy your voyage into the Chaotic Dominion." The hologram faded. Soon after, the floor shook. There was smoke clearing away and attacks were flying in all directions below us.
"We're being attacked!" Tagiru realized. Looking down, a squadron of DarkKnightmon's forces had ambushed our comrades on the ground floor. MachGaogamon was slammed into the outer wall. RizeGreymon and his brothers were cornered and outnumbered. From nearby, we noticed one of the portals BasiliskKnightmon mentioned.
"What's our plan?!" Gumdramon hopped onto the railing. Rob and Dracomon joined the two, while I found myself lost in thought.
"...attack from the sky." Dorbickmon stepped in. "You two divert their attention. The rest of us will surround them from the outside."
"Got it!" the two small dragons nodded. Rob and Tagiru raised their Xros Loaders in the air.
"Gumdramon, Chou Shinka!"
"Dracomon, Chou Shinka!"
Both humans climbed onto their digimon and took to the skies. Dorbickmon walked over.
"Hey." his voice startled me.
"W-what?"
"Listen." Dorbickmon explained, "You may have a lot on your mind right now, but you must set that aside. Our priority right now is to fend off the enemy."
"...right." I sighed, trying to shrug off the nerves. "Let's go raise some hell."
"...after you, general." Dorbickmon smirked.
"Gardiac Raid!" NeoVamdemon cleared away a few Mephistomon. Unfortunately, more just replaced the fallen warriors. "This is becoming absurd..." he growled. Zamielmon covered him from behind, raining arrows down at the enemy.
"At least we can agree on something!" the Wood Spirit noted. He cut a Matadormon through the stomach with a well-timed arrow. Splashmon and Gravimon combined tactics. The latter held the enemy in place with Octo Gravity while the former swept them away with Hydro Pressure. Above them, Wingdramon circled around the battlefield. He noticed Apollomon and Olegmon fighting off a large group.
"Wingdramon!" Rob ordered.
"Right!" he roared, "Blaze Sonic Breath!"
The dragon rained fired down at the enemy, clearing away an entire platoon. On the eastern side of the ruins, Slayerdramon was cornered to the edge. There was nothing but an endless drop behind him. Armed with his sword, he was prepared to try and break through.
"Dragon Breath Tonic Fire!"
Two streams of fire blanketed the left squadron. Slayerdramon recognized the technique. Above him, Dorbickmon dropped down and landed next to the dragon knight.
"Show off..." Slayerdramon joked.
"Dorbickmon Dragon Mode, Slayerdramon, DigiXros!" I called out. The Xros Loader emitted a light that engulfed the two, fusing them together.
"Dorbickmon, DracoKnight Mode!"
"Blaze's Fury!" the dragon swung his blade diagonally, sending out a wave of fire. It scorched the earth, melting it into lava and wiping out a third of the squadron. Dorbickmon's eye flashed, causing the entire ground to change. BasiliskKnightmon's army was split apart, giving our allies a better advantage.
"That's more like it!" Chaosdramon charged up his cannons. "Hyper Mugen Cannon!"
"Dark Roar!"
"Rising Destroyer!"
Darkdramon and RizeGreymon followed their brother's lead and joined in on the retaliation. Slowly turning the tide, BasiliskKnightmon's forces started whittling down.
"Dragonfire Crossbow!"
"Starburst Hunter!"
MagnaGarurumon and EmperorGreymon landed the final strike. EmperorGreymon sheathed his sword. "That's the last of them." The two gathered with the rest of us near the portal where the army invaded from.
"So what's the plan?" MagnaGarurumon asked.
"We don't know where we'll end up once we enter, which means that going in all together may put us at a disadvantage." Apollomon crossed his arms.
"There's also a chance that more reinforcements could wind up here and use this gate to ambush us from behind." NeoVamdemon added. We tried to think of every situation before coming to the same conclusion.
"As disadvantageous as it is, the best course of action would be to split into groups before proceeding." Apollomon announced, "The groups should be according to how much synergy we can create within our team."
We all grouped up according to Apollomon's specifications. MachGaogamon, Chaosdramon & his brothers were the first group. EmperorGreymon, MagnaGarurumon & WereGarurumon were the second. Apollomon, Marsmon and Setmon were group three. NeoVamdemon, Splashmon, Gravimon and Zamielmon comprised group four. Olegmon, Tagiru, Dracomon, Rob and Gumdramon were group five. Dorbickmon, Fanglongmon, Slayerdramon and I were the last group.
"One of the groups should stay here and guard this area. If this is our only exit, then we don't want it getting destroyed." Apollomon suggested.
"We'll stand guard." EmperorGreymon volunteered his group.
"How will we contact each other?" Slayerdramon asked.
"That's the most difficult part." Apollomon pointed out. "We have these communicators, but there's no guarantee they'll be of any use wherever we end up."
He passed one out to each group. "We'll only know once we try them out."
"Got it." we all agreed. One by one, each group entered the portal. I couldn't help but worry. Where would we end up?
"Don't think too much about it." Dorbickmon patted me on the back, "Whatever is beyond that gate, you won't be facing it alone."
"...right."
Despite the fear, I followed him and Fanglongmon through the gate. Though one thing still crossed my mind.
What's DarkKnightmon up to...
"...report." BasiliskKnightmon ordered. Two digimon knelt before him. The cloaks they wore masked their identities.
"Xros Heart is advancing with every platoon it wiped out. The Royal Knights aren't too far off either despite their plan to take different paths." the smaller digimon of the two revealed.
"The sporadic travel between the areas of the Chaotic Dominion has proven to be a problem for them." the larger digimon added, "While our forces may be experiencing many losses, both groups are cut off from communicating with each other." he pointed out. "Chances are they'll try to find a way to build their own way of traveling from one area to another."
"Expect nothing less from them..." BasiliskKnightmon scowled. "Have Dorbickmon and his little group advanced yet?"
"They defeated our platoon not too long ago." another gruff voice responded. "They may be planning something as we speak."
"Then it's time for us to unleash our full might on them. Piedmon, MetalPhantomon, you know your roles." BasiliskKnightmon declared.
"Oh my...isn't it early to employ such a strategy?" Piedmon marveled at the idea.
"It couldn't be any sooner." A third voice rang out from the other side of the hall.
"SkullBaluchimon..." BasiliskKnightmon muttered. SkullBaluchimon was a gigantic dinosaur digimon made purely of reanimated fossils. Deadly spikes protruded out of his back, as did skeletal wings. The digimon's head was that of a saber-tooth with a horn growing out of its forehead. A system of glowing yellow veins were visible inside him, spreading through his entire body.
"One of my troops have spotted Dorbickmon in the Magma Glacier. They formed smaller groups by the looks of it." SkullBaluchimon reported.
"With Xros Heart and the Royal Knights approaching, I'm not taking any chances…" BasiliskKnightmon asserted. When he stood up though, he held his abdomen in pain.
"You haven't recovered from your duel with the Dragon Emperor yet." MetalPhantomon noticed, "Should you really be taking walking around?"
"I'm not letting a simple flesh wound hinder me. Now go and welcome our guests…" BasiliskKnightmon ordered.
"I think I'll pay that Dorbickmon a visit…" Piedmon giggled at the idea, "A boring, blunt lizard like him could use some entertainment..."
"Eager as always…" MetalPhantomon rolled his eyes, unamused.
"I'll keep tabs on him…" SkullBaluchimon muttered, knowing the jester well enough to warrant such a need.
"Then I'll distract Xros Heart…" MetalPhantomon declared.
"Do not underestimate them...especially now that they are united." BasiliskKnightmon warned his last three commanders. "...I do not expect you to succeed against such strong opponents."
"We are aware, general." MetalPhantomon bowed his head. "We will still serve you regardless."
"Until the last shred of our data parts from our souls." Piedmon added. BasiliskKnightmon took a long pause, glancing over his last three subordinates. "...you are dismissed." he muttered. They all exited the room, prompting MaloMyotismon to awaken from inside the knight's mind.
"You had your meeting, now switch places with me." he ordered.
"Nonsense." BasiliskKnightmon retorted, "A flesh wound is just that."
"Drop the act." MaloMyotismon barked, "Examon's paralysis shell still lingers inside our body. Either you make the switch, or I will force it."
"...fine." the knight relented, "But when we get to ExoGrimmon's seal, I'm switching back."
"Hmph…" MaloMyotismon scoffed, "Only if you have recovered by then."
BasiliskKnightmon's form underwent a small change. His eye color changed, and he donned MaloMyotismon's mask. His wings were thinner and more bat-like. His fangs grew bigger, resembling a vampire's. His cape transformed into a cloak, concealing his thin armor.
"How much time do you think they will buy us?" MaloMyotismon asked. He walked towards the hallway behind the room.
"Enough time to unlock that seal." DarkKnightmon muttered.
"And what if things don't go as planned?"
"...I always have a last resort." DarkKnightmon exhaled, clutching his wound.
"You don't sound very confident." MaloMyotismon pointed out.
"And you're being awfully nosy for someone who is my subordinate…" DarkKnightmon growled in annoyance.
"I finally get the chance to stretch my wings and try out this form of ours." MaloMyotismon explained. "Watching you have all the fun gets boring. Besides, you've gotten this far, I can't let you make rookie mistakes after all the work you've put into this plan…"
"...do you expect me to believe you're concerned about me?" DarkKnightmon scoffed.
"I can argue the same about you." the vampire interrupted him. "The way you looked at MetalPhantomon and the others is quite unlike the DarkKnightmon I've worked under for so long…"
"...their loyalty caught me off-guard is all…" DarkKnightmon looked away.
"Or maybe I'm rubbing off on you now that we've been fused for so long." MaloMyotismon sneered. "You're worried about your own lackeys."
"Am I supposed to be convinced that you developed a heart?"
"As much of a heart as a blood-sucking vampire can have." MaloMyotismon gave a toothy grin.
"Hmph, your humor needs work, MaloKnightmon…" DarkKnightmon rolled his eyes. The digimon smirked.
"I like the sound of that name for this form."
"Where are we…?" I was in awe of the area where the portal spit us out in. The terrain was completely frozen over, and yet a warm breeze was present.
"It's an icelandic hell by the looks of it…" Dorbickmon concluded. We looked down and noticed the thick layer of ice under our feet. But that wasn't the only thing under us.
"T-that's not water…" I stammered. Dorbickmon shook his head.
"Illogical…" he growled, "Magma can't thrive in the arctic!"
"It can in this place!" another voice gleefully answered. In mere seconds, we were surrounded by more of BasiliskKnightmon's undead army. This time however, they were accompanied by a general.
"Show your face!" Dorbickmon ordered.
"I was just getting to that." the digimon smirked, gracefully taking off his cloak and throwing it to the side. The digimon before us was a jester wearing a black and white mask over his face. His outfit was red and green, with yellow boots and skull symbols on his shoulders. He carried four blades on his back and a scarf that floated above him. His most prominent traits were a scar on his left eye, a heart on his mask, pink lipstick and yellow spiky hair jutting from the back of his skull. He carried a rather ugly looking blue stuffed animal.
"My name is Piedmon." he introduced himself with a bow. " Pleased to meet you, Fanglongmon and small human general."
"Piedmon…"
When I looked at Dorbickmon I noticed he was acting odd. He was practically seething with rage and his fist was shaking.
"T-that voice…" he gritted his teeth.
"It's been too long Dorbickmon…" Piedmon clapped his hands together joyfully. It sounded completely forced.
"You two know each other?!" both Slayerdramon and I were taken aback. Fanglongmon didn't react at all.
"When this land was still reforming, when it was still referred to as Hell's Field, I was the one responsible for...disciplining him."
"You were that cloaked figure…" I remembered that nightmare from long ago. Dorbickmon fighting, and suffering at someone's hands when he lost. Dorbickmon looked like he was about to run rampant.
"You...YOU-!"
"Calm down Dorbickmon!" Slayerdramon yelled from the Xros Loader.
"Oh, you're just itching to get your claws on me!" Piedmon placed his hands together mocking fashion. "I mean, I understand why...out of all the digimon you've faced, I was the only one that was so close to making a complete fool out of you."
"Slayerdramon, hurry!" I called him and raised the Xros Loader. He reloaded and immediately stood in front of Dorbickmon, sword in hand.
"Don't let him tempt you..."
"This time it will be different…" Dorbickmon snarled under his breath, trying to remain under control.
"It will indeed." Piedmon bowed. "Because this time, I'll make sure to break that pride you cling so desperately to." Raising his hand, the jester gave the attack order. "Now then, let my forces show your friends some REAL entertainment!"
