A/N: This was written for a prompt on the yj anon meme. The prompt was from like, February because I'm slow, so I have nooo idea if it was filled before me or if the OP will ever read this. I hope they do. :C

During training sessions, Wally and Robin were always quick to pair off- and watching the two of them was like watching professional dancers; they knew the steps, knew the song, and knew their way around each other. Robin would smirk and Wally would laugh in return, as they twisted and punched and flipped, and for a few breathtaking moments they would look nothing short of spectacular together.

But today Canary had intervened; so for the first time, Conner was blinking down at the grinning speedster- who looked completely unfazed- instead of calm and patient Kaldur, and had no idea what to do.

But he didn't have much time to think, because at the same time Artemis bore down on Kaldur and Megan swooped after Robin, Wally blurred for a split second then disappeared.

Keeping up with him was- next to impossible. Conner was fast, but Wally was faster, and it was all he could do to keep the redhead in sight. Wally didn't really pursue his advantage, flitting from one side, to the other, to the front, to behind, laughing and poking at him instead of doing anything that would win him their spar.

Taunting him. Toying with him. Conner gritted his teeth, and reminded himself that it was just training- he understood Wally was incapable of malice, and that what the smaller boy was doing was simply strategy. Still, Conner's movements got less and less constrained, more and more wild as he steadily lost his temper.

He was Superman's clone. Superman would be able to catch Kid Flash- Superman could do it.

He gave a frustrated roar and lunged, catching a handful of that yellow costume in a tight fist. Wally yelped in surprise and Conner hauled him back, hard; in seconds, Conner was leaning over him triumphantly, looking into green eyes that were alight with something mischievous and not at all beaten. When Wally got an arm free, Conner grabbed it and he only meant to pin it down but there was a sickening crack and suddenly the smile was gone from those eyes and winning wasn't really that important anymore.

Wally was very still, and that in itself was scary. Conner was frozen where he sat, staring at the horribly wrong angle to the speedster's arm. That was Conner's fault.

He broke him.

There wasn't time to breathe before Robin was there, stooping over Wally and shoving Conner away with a surprising amount of force. The masked boy looked angry, angrier than Conner had ever seen him, but Conner was staring past him at Wally, who was gritting his teeth and gripping his arm above the elbow, fingers digging in so hard it must have been painful. Wally, who just a few minutes ago was laughing and teasing and keeping just in reach and just in sight so it was fair and Conner had a chance-

Wally, who was holding Robin's arm for support as he sat up, pale and shaking and glancing at Conner with hurting green eyes.

"Supes," he said gently, voice limping and breaking and half-hidden behind a strangled breath. Conner could only stare at him, wanting to run forever or never move again. But somehow, somehow, Wally's mouth was slipping into that smile, and as the others finally caught up and rushed over, the yellow clad boy tugged his cowl off, face soft and wincing and kind. "Supes, it's okay."

Somehow, that made it worse.
