Hello dear reader, Kiyutsuna here with a short, slightly cracky drabble that is my first Fairy Tail fanfic.

BAM.

"Hey there Na-

...

What the heck?!"

...

As every mage in Fairy Tail froze in utter shock and disbelief, the disaster in the form of one fire dragon slayer was oblivious to it all.

Of course he would be oblivious, he's Natsu. And he had something very very important to do today. Something so awesome, it made the entire guild go silent. Well duh, why else would they all be staring at him and gaping?

So, Natsu grinned confidently at the blonde celestial mage in front of him, and proudly held out a gigantic, sparkly, rainbow colored...

fish.

He beamed at her.

"I love you Lucy!"

She stared at him.

And stared at the fish.

And stared some more.

Was she staring so much because the fish is so amazing? Natsu thought so, after all, he even spent 3 hours painstakingly tying a ribbon around it!

When Lucy finally stopped staring at the fish, she choked out a little laugh.

"Uh...what?" She squeaked intelligently.

If this was a dream, she would like to wake up right now to thoroughly interrogate her brain for coming up with such ridiculous dreams: Natsu, confessing to her with a fish? That's a little too absurd even for him...right?

"I love you." Natsu replied seriously, nodding just to emphasize the point.

Lucy then proceeded to stare some more, and pinched herself. She blinked, and pinched herself again...

Her eyes widened as she finally processed everything in her mind.

Oh lord, Natsu loves her.

Loves her...

Loves her...

Loves her...

And he is confessing by offering her a fish.

A fish...

A fish...

A fish...

...

Lucy giggled, faintly noting that Natsu's expression have by now turned into a look of confusion. But she couldn't help it, for it was just so...so unexpected! He had obviously gone to Happy for advice, and who in their right mind would ask a cat for advice on a love confession? Then again, Natsu's mind had always been slightly off the main track. Scratch that, if a normal person's mind ran like a train track, then Natsu's was a flying kangaroo.

But, even though the fish and this whole scene were beyond ridiculous, it was still so endearingly Natsu.

So she took the fish with a smile, and placed it on the bar counter. Maybe she'd get Gray to freeze it later.

For now though, she pulled her (yes, he was her's now) dragon slayer in for a kiss.

OMAKE:

Happy watched the scene from the safety of Erza's lap. He sighed and smiled to himself in what he hoped to be a very wise manner, so the rainbow fish really was as reliable as he had hoped it to be! Happy then hopped happily down from his "seat" and flew out the door.

Experiment successful.

Time to go find Charles.

A/N: Soooo...was it alright? Please leave a review if possible! w/
