Let's Chat - Prologue

Kitty went into her room after a long day. She was freaking out and unsure of what to do. At that moment she needed advice more than ever. She was completely torn inside, unsure of what or who to turn to for help with her issue. Quickly, like her life depended on it she raced over to one side of her room and reached for a box underneath her desk, hauling twenty five fashion magazines over to her bed. Desperately she flipped through the pages trying to find the answer to her question: What should she do? She ripped out a blank sheet of paper from her Calculus binder and started the quizzes. She knew it was a long shot, but Kitty didn't care, she was willing to try anything. She completed five quizzes when she realized that they were getting her no where. They all gave her different answers, and some were completely irrelevant to the topic she had in mind. She decided to look towards people for help. Sprinting while phasing through anything in her way, she made it to the living room where Jean, Scott, the Professor, and Mr. McCoy were probably in the middle of a boring discussion. "Okay, so Jean is pretty good with advice, but then again she's really parental so maybe not my best choice. Scott would kill me if I even brought the subject up again. Professor or Mr. McCoy.. now that would just be down-right awkward." Eliminating all the candidates in the room, she phased into the multipurpose room where the new recruits were watching a scary movie. Unfortunately she barged in at the most suspenseful part and made everybody jump and scream. She ignored the terrified kids and looked around the room. "Hmm.. okay, so Jubilee would just make fun of me and Bobby can't take anything seriously. Jamie is way too young to give decent advice and so is Amara and Rhayne. Sam wouldn't know the first thing to do. Crap!" Kitty began to run again making her way towards the Danger Room as the new recruits just looked at her like she was crazy. Not even looking twice at the elevator, Kitty phased straight through to the bottom floor where she entered the Danger Room. Kurt and Mr. Logan were practicing a level together. As Kitty ran in, Kurt got temporarily distracted and was knocked out by a giant metal sphere. "Half-pint have you lost your mind?!" The wolf-like mutant asked in a harsh tone which Kitty completely ignored. "Kurt is such a gossip queen, there's no way I'm telling him anything. And as for mister Logan, maybe.. if this were a nightmare and I was dying." Letting out a sigh of disappointment she walk groggily back to her room. Ororo was on a business trip so Kitty couldn't talk to her. And she tried calling Tabitha earlier, but she was at a party. As she got into her room, she turned her head slightly to the right and noticed something: Rogue's queen- sized bed. "ROGUE!" Kitty screamed with excitement. She would ask her best friend/ roommate/ go-to for advice. Why didn't she think about it sooner?
