So sorry for not been updating the chapters. After graduating High School, man there are too many things to do. Especially since I have to work now and help my family with the bills and stuff. Ugh, tiring. So I hope you are all still reading and hopefully it's good since it has been a while since I wrote and updated a chapter.

Chapter 34

Everyone was quiet. They didn't know what to say to Kagome because of her harsh past. Inuyasha growled and tightly held Kagome close to him. Myouga spoke, "do you know what happened afterwards Kagome?" Closing her eyes while leaning closer to Inuyasha, she took a deep breath before answering, "After when I blacked out. I came to and found that everything was set ablaze and there were dead demons surrounding me everywhere. At first, I thought I was taken when I blacked out and was brought there in the midst of the battlefield and all. But when I smelt the blood on my hands and clothes, that was the first time that I have ever lost control to my demon blood and not remembering what happened." Sango was quietly crying next to Miroku, holding his hand for comfort after hearing Kagome's harsh past. Miroku tried his best to give Sango comfort but he too was devastated after listening to her story.

In the beginning, her past sounded really fun, happy even, because she got to be with her family. However, that didn't last long for she lost her entire family and clan in one night. Sesshomaru then spoke, "I think I remember something." This caught everyone's attention besides Kagome. She was still heavily breathing while healing at the same time. "What do you mean?" Inuyasha asked, growling and unconsciously holding Kagome closer to him. "There was a day that father had a meeting. He was speaking to another dog demon, a black dog demon. From what I heard and saw, father was trying to tell him that he could help and send some of his men to fend with him for when he needed help. However, the black dog demon didn't want the help and just kindly rejected father's offer. Of course, that was before you or Inuyasha were born." Kagome's wheeze laugh brought everyone's attention back to her, "that would be father alright. He doesn't want help for he doesn't like to be in debt to anyone."

Sesshomaru quietly hmphed, "then your father is the foolish one for not accepting my father's proposal when he still got the chance." Kagome shifted a bit, wincing when she moved her shoulder a bit, "my father isn't foolish. He just doesn't want anyone to get involve." Sesshomaru didn't retort back, instead he stayed quiet.

-Meanwhile-

In a dark abyss, a salute can be seen in the midst of darkness, in the room. This salute, this demon or person, was watching Kagome and the others from afar. Watching, waiting, for the right moment. The chance to grab his little precious treasure back. Chuckling, the salute touched the middle of the water in the water basin, creating a ripple to distort the image of Kagome.

Another dark salute, with long flowing straight black hair tied on the base of their neck wearing female armor robes, entered the room, bowing in respect, "my lord, I have prepared everything that you have asked for. Please, give me an order on what to do next." The lord smiled, "gather every one and every demons, we're about to go and grab my precious treasure back." The female salute smiled cruelly, "as you wish my lord." The lord chuckled, "it is time. This time, you won't be able to get away from me, Kagome."

-Back to Inuyasha and the others-

Closing her eyes, Kagome slept, leaning her head in the crook of Inuyasha's neck. This caught the attention of everyone except Sesshomaru, who has his eyes close. Inuyasha felt stares looking at him. Looking up, he saw that everyone's eyes were on both him and Kagome. He glared at them, "what?" They all quickly looked away and minded their own business. He hmphed before looking down at Kagome. Resting a hand upon her cheek, he wiped the speck of dirt that was on there.

Seeing a leaf fallen on Kagome's head, he was about to move it until he saw a blue small light coming from his wrist. Pushing his sleeves up a bit, he saw a chain wrapped around his wrists. Turning, he saw that it was Kagome's necklace. Carefully laying Kagome onto his arm, he tried to use his other hand to unwrap the necklace from his wrists. Using his claws he unwrapped the chain and grabbed it with his free hand.

Holding onto the pendant in the palm of his hand, Inuyasha was about to wrap it around Kagome's neck until he saw the silver tint light in it forming a shape. The silver started to turn blur but it quickly turned into a shape of a dog. Then suddenly, something that looked like a black mist consumed it, strangling the dog. He quickly blinked, the dog and the black mist disappeared, as if it was never there to begin with. Shaking his head, he thought that it was probably all in his head.

-Kagome's mind-

Everything was dark, but that was because she was resting. Though she may look asleep, she has only closed her eyes for a bit of rest. She could feel Inuyasha shift her around before settling for a while. She was about to open her eyes to see what he was doing until she heard him.

"Kagome."

This froze her thoughts and mind. Her heart felt as if it stop beating. Her breath, hitched in her throat. 'No, no it couldn't be.'

The man chuckled, "did you really think that you could have run away from me? You are my treasure, my most prize possession. You will never be able to get away from me."

This frightened her, but also angered her as well. "Fuzen."

He chuckled, "I'm glad that you still remember me, my dear Kagome." She gritted her teeth, "how can I? I will never forget the killer of my family and clan." Fuzen's face then appeared in the darkness, his hand reaching out to her, "it's time for you to awake now, my dear little pet. Wake up and destroy your comrades, your friends." She felt a dark demonic aura surrounding her, a hand clawing itself into her mind.

-Back to the gang-

Trying to put the necklace back around Kagome's neck, a great dark pulse suddenly pulsed through Kagome. Her eyes shot wide open and screamed, clutching both her heart and her head. This caught Inuyasha in surprise, making him drop the necklace, and gain the others attention.

"Kagome!"

Clutching both her head and heart, Kagome started thrashing in Inuyasha's arms. Inuyasha clutched onto her a little tighter, stopping her thrashing, "Kagome!" Shippo ran towards the two, stopping next to Kagome, clutching onto her upper arm, "Inuyasha, what's wrong with Kagome?" He gritted his teeth, "I don't know." Trying to steady her in his arm, Inuyasha tried to snap Kagome out of it, "Kagome! Come on Kagome, what's wrong?"

Kagome couldn't hear them, her mind felt as if someone had grasped her mind, trying to split her head apart while her heart felt as if someone has struck a sword in her chest.

Sesshomaru got up from where he sat and walked towards to Kagome. Inuyasha was so occupied on trying to help Kagome that he didn't notice Sesshomaru walking towards them until he saw a hand took a handful of Kagome's haori. Everyone watched as Sesshomaru lifted Kagome up from Inuyasha's arms and punched her on her forehead. They were all stunned at what he did, but Kagome has finally stopped screaming and let go of her grasp on her head and chest.

The scent of Kagome's blood that started dripping from her forehead instantly made Inuyasha snap back. He shot up from the ground and ripped Kagome from Sesshomaru's grasp, hugging Kagome close to him, "Sesshomaru you bastard!" A hand fell upon his hand, turning his attention back to Kagome. She slowly opened her eyes and look up at him, "don't. Sesshomaru did me a favor." He growled at her, "and what kind of favor is that? By hitting you on your forehead?" A smile lifted at the corner of her lips, "if it made me snapped out of it, yeah."

His looks instantly started to soften until Sesshomaru spoke, "priestess, I felt a dark demonic aura around you just a while ago. What happened?" Looking at him in her peripheral vision, she quickly looked down, "so, you noticed." This topic caught everyone's attention. "A dark demonic aura?" Miroku asked, standing up from where he sat at. "What does he mean Kagome?" Sango as ask afterward. Kagome sighed before glaring at the ground, "He is coming." With that said, she looked back at Sesshomaru. It seemed Sesshomaru understood for he quickly glared at her, "are you sure?" She nodded, "I don't think it would be long before he gets here."

Miroku soon stepped into the conversation, "if I may interrupt, this he, could it be Fuzen?" Everyone froze at the name except Kagome and Sesshomaru. She nodded. They all tensed up at the confirmation. Everyone all went quiet until Rin spoke, "then shouldn't we get away from here? The bad demon is coming here to get you right?" Kagome shook her head, "even if we did move and tried to get away from him, he would still be able to find me." Sango soon stepped next to Kagome, "here Kagome, wipe the blood away." She handed her a wet cloth. Kagome accepted it gratefully, "thank you Sango." Standing up on her own two legs, she used the wet cloth to wipe the blood away.

"Priestess."

Finished wiping the blood away, she looked back at Sesshomaru, "what is it?" He was about to speak until a loud crash was heard near them. They all quickly turned their head, covering their eyes from the dust of dirt. Kagome gasped, a dark pulse running through her. This quickly caught both Sesshomaru and Inuyasha's attention. "Ka-," Inuyasha started but a dark laugh interrupted him. Turning their attention back at hand, they saw a woman surrounded with demons by her side.

She laughed, "my, my. How long has it been, Kagome? Or should I call you Black Half-Demon?" Inuyasha growled at that name and putted Kagome behind him, "she isn't that nor will she ever be again." Sesshomaru then stepped up and glared at the female demon, "It would seem you are an acquaintance to Fuzen." The woman threw her head back, laughing, "oh this is hilarious! Who would have guess that the Black Half-Demon would be together with Inutaisho's eldest son, who I might add, had tried to destroy your castle and territory the last time you have met." Miroku and Sango grabbed their weapons and quickly covered Inuyasha and Kagome from the demon woman's sight, "what do you mean?" asked Miroku, taking a protective stance. The woman raised an eyebrow at Kagome, "you did not tell them?" A growl sounded from Inuyasha while Sesshomaru still kept his glare at her. She smirked, "My, Sesshomaru. It is quite surprising that you would ally yourself with the very same enemy that tried to kill you all those years ago. You even almost succeeded in killing her also." This new information peak everyone's attention but Inuyasha growled, "so what? It was in the past, things change." She smirked, "that may be true. But…" With a snap of her fingers, the demons obeyed her order and rushed forward, starting to attack, "things don't change all that easily." Everyone quickly got their weapons ready and attacked back, defending both themselves and Kagome.

Hope that was okay, never really did have much confidence in my writing. But reading all of your reviews over and over always makes me want to write more and continue on with the story!

Sorry again if it takes more days or months...or maybe another year or two before I update more again. But I will try my very best to try and update the next chapter!
