(In Memorial)

The Avengers had all moved in to the newly dubbed Avengers Tower. Steve had floor nine, and that's where he was on September 9th, 2012. Not any special day, yet. He had been abusing punching bag after punching bag in the section of his floor that Tony had set up for personal, private training. Technically the second floor was training, the first floor being the general lab that anyone could use.

Taking a break, Steve noticed a small pile of trading cards sitting on the windowsill. He walked over and gently picked up the fragile pile of red, now brown stained card with his image drawn on them.

He felt a hand on his shoulder as he looked gently and sadly at the cards. Tony peeked over his shoulder at the offending objects that drew Steve's attention from him.

"I should have signed them, Tony." Steve's distressed voice startled Tony who wrapped his arms around Steve's waist and rested his cheek on his shoulder.

"Coulson wouldn't have blamed you for not having time. Neither of you expected him to die." Tony reassured the tense man in his arms. Steve nodded, his face growing determined, and reflecting in the window, worrying Tony.

Steve untangled himself from Tony and pulled on a shirt, he had long since taken it off during pounding the punching bags. He grabbed Tony's hand and pulled him into the elevator after him.

In the living room floor, the rest of the team had been hanging for a while now, and Tony had been sent up to check on Steve. The super soldier dropped the cards on the coffee table. They scattered, showing the team the pictures. Steve tossed all of them a pen. They all soon got it; Bruce explained it to Thor quietly.

The next day, Nick Fury stopped by, Agent Maria Hill in tow. When he arrived at the living room the team all were sat down somewhere. Steve was in an armchair with Tony leaning against his legs as support; Natasha and Clint were huddled on a love seat; Bruce and Thor had settled on the couch. They all either had their eyes closed or were staring at a frame. Inside the frame was a piece of large paper in portrait form. At the top it read: Phil Coulson's treasure. Under all of the six cards held a signature from one of the Avengers and a message of some sort. The frame held a priceless memorial to S.H.I.E.L.D.'s best Agent ever.

A/N Okay then. I like this. Some people could argue that Natasha and Clint are the best of S.H.I.E.L.D., but I disagree. Phil Coulson was the best. R.I.P.
