Chapter 6: Portal of Wonders

Meanwhile, in the dungeon, the four unfortunates were sitting in a dark and dingy cell.

"Well, never thought I'd be here again..." Jack murmured.

"Who would've thought that she's the princess, though?" Sora asked.

"Must've sounded like a moron to her..." Jaden muttered.

"There, there, you could always find someone else at the nearest brothel..." Bender said, patting Jaden on the shoulder.

Wait...patting him?

Jaden looked over and saw that Bender's arms were free, the ropes that had tied his hands together were in a small pile behind him.

"You broke through your ropes, didn't you?" Jaden asked.

Bender looked at the ropes before saying, "Yes. Yes, I did."

Sora sighed before asking, "How? Just...just 'how'?"

"My arms extend, remember?" Bender asked, flexing all six of his fingers, "I just stretched 'em out and untied the ropes."

"And you could've done that at any time?" Jaden asked, incredulously.

"Only when it was dramatically inconvenient." Bender replied.

"Mate, just untie us while we're still grateful or else we shall make it our business to dismantle you and sell you for money." Jack stated.

"Alright, alright." Bender muttered, untying the group, "Stupid jerks, obsessed with freedom..."

After untying them (and testing some of his knot-tying skills on Sora), Bender walked over to Jaden and said, "Well, hope ya learned your lesson—if ya can't see the floozie's face, just leave."

"Don't worry, Bender, I won't be seeing her again." Jaden replied, "She's the Hokage's daughter and we're at the bottom of the social ladder. Now, just bend the bars open."

"Thought you'd never ask!" Bender grinned, walking over to the bars, "Bending's my middle name!"

"It is?" Sora asked.

"Yeah, my name's Bender Bending Rodriguez." Bender replied, reaching out to grab the bars.

"But where will you go to after this?" asked a hushed voice.

"Well, we plan on goin' out and steal and pillage our hearts out." Replied Jack as they turned to the source of the voice. Jack flinched as he saw their cellmate—a hunched figure in ragged robes and oily hair.

"How come we didn't notice this guy?" Sora asked.

"Heck if I know." Bender shrugged.

"Who're you?" Jaden asked.

"A lowly prisoner like yourself." The prisoner replied, getting to his feet as he revealed himself—he had a long, white beard and had sunken eyes, "But, together, perhaps we could be more..."

"Indeed, we could be..." Jack did a quick headcount before concluding, "FIVE lowly prisoners!"

"Somewhere, in the deep forest, there is a being made of stone who leads to great fortunes—the Portal of Riches." The man explained.

"RICHES?" Bender and Jack asked, their attention suddenly grabbed.

"Perhaps enough to impress that girl of yours." The man said.

"Well, some money would be enough to get the attention of Krabs..." Jaden murmured, "But why do you need us?"

"I require young men with strong backs and legs." The man answered.

"That makes me questionable at best..." Jack muttered.

"I have the way to it and you have a method of getting out." The man said, "Do we have a deal?"

Jaden thought for a few seconds before saying, "Deal. Bender, you know what to do."

Bender stretched out his arms and pried the bars apart as if they were rubber.

"I...take it that's not the first time he's done that?" the man asked, hobbling over to Jaden.

"Nope." Jaden answered, climbing out with the others.

Meanwhile, outside, Alexis walked over to the dungeon door. She pulled out the keys that she had stolen from one of the ANBU and unlocked it.

"Guys, I'm sorry, now you-" she said, opening the door and finding the thieves were gone. She simply stared in shock. A look of determination then crossed her face.

Elsewhere...

The five were walking through the forest surrounding the Hidden Leaf Village.

"Jaden, I've got a bad feeling about this." Sora said.

"Same here, but we've gotta help this guy." Jaden replied.

"Tell me, do you make it your business to assist every random bystander we come across?" Jack asked.

The five soon arrived in a clearing. The man held out a medallion with a snake head and a burst of light erupted from it. A large man made of stone soon lifted itself from the ground, revealing a large portal spiraling in its chest.

"Who summons the Portal?" it asked in a loud, booming voice.

"Uh...I did, Jaden Yuki." Jaden replied.

"And we're with him." Sora added.

The Portal looked at Jaden, as if evaluating him. It then said, "You may proceed. No person may touch anything but the Wand."

"That's what she heard! WHOO!" Bender called.

"Remember, boy, bring me the Wand and you shall have your reward." The man said.

Jaden looked at the portal and then walked over to it. He then stepped in as the others followed him. Immediately, they were sucked in and found themselves spinning through a swirl of colors.

"I can see sideways in time..." Sora said, "Emit ni syawedis ees nac I..."

"Whoa, I see CGI..." Jaden said, "IGC ees I, aohw..."

"Wow." Jack said, "Wow."

"Oh, yeah!" Bender grinned as he suddenly began a conga with what appeared to be an infinte amount of his replicas, "Bender-Bender-BenDER! Bender-Bender-BenDER!"

However, this spacial spectacle was soon put to an end as the four were spewed out.

"Aw, that was the best uncountably infinite number of guys I ever known." Bender groaned, disappointed.

"I think you'll soon find compensation for that." Jaden said, sounding awestruck as he stood up.

The four were in the middle of a vast camber, filled with gold, gems, and long-lost artifacts. The sheer value of these items apparently overloaded Bender's mental processor, causing him to...well, lose it.

"Need! Want! Desire!"

Bender ran over to a pile of treasure.

"BENDER, NO!" everyone screamed, grabbing him around the midsection...however, they did not count on Bender's extendable arms, which reached out and grabbed a handful of treasure. Everyone retreated, shielding themselves from whatever harms were to come to them...

But nothing did.

"Are we dead?" Jack asked, cautiously lowering his arms.

"No, I don't think so..." Sora replied.

"The rock thing said 'no PERSON can touch the treasure'." Bender said, shoving the treasure into his chamber, "I ain't a person, though!"

"Lucky robot." Jack muttered.

"C'mon, let's just find that wand." Jaden said, walking away.

"Trust me, when we get outta here, we'll be livin' like kings and our problems will be over!" Bender exclaimed, filling his chamber with more treasure.

Jack began humming 'A Pirate's Life For Me' as he walked by a yellow Camarro with blue racing stripes. The car began to slowly roll towards him as it quickly shifted into a robot. It reached over to Jack, who turned over. What he saw was the car a little closer. Jack waved his hands at the vehicle.

"Shoo." He ordered. He turned to leave while saying to himself, "Now I'm talkin' to cars. Never did THAT before..."

As soon as his back was turned, the car changed back into a robot and slowly approached him. It gently grabbed his hat and took it off. Jack felt something was amiss and felt his head, finding that his tricorn was missing.

"Wait...I took the hat with me...and I didn't drop it..." he said, searching the ground. He then slowly turned around to see the giant robot.

"Do what you want, 'cuz a pirate is free, you are a pirate!" the robot sang while it did a small dance.

Jack screamed in absolute terror before running at the ground.

"Jack, what're you doing?!" Jaden yelled.

"THERE'S A MASSIVE AUTOMATON WHO STOLE ME HAT!" Jack shouted, pointing behind him.

The other thieves looked over and simply saw a Camarro there.

"I'd say the pressure's finally gotten to Jack," Sora said, "But what pressure?"

"Jack, have you been hitting the rum again?" Jaden asked.

"No, but I wish I was." Jack answered, "Rum is GOOD."

The group resumed walking and Jack heard a soft 'thump' at his feet. He looked down and saw that it was his hat. He reached down, but heard something. He craned his neck and saw the Camarro just behind him. When he turned to pick it up, he heard the car rolling towards him, but whenever he looked back, he saw the car back up. He touched his hat and heard the accelerator rev up. He then wheeled over just as the car was moving.

"AHA! THERE'S THE MONSTER!" Jack proclaimed.

The other members of the group looked over to see the Camarro just sitting there, immobile.

"Jack...just calm down." Jaden said, "We've got a wand to find."

"Guys, I think we might need a second trip..." Bender reported, showing that his chest chamber was full to bursting.

The other members began walking away as Jack reached down to pick up his hat.

"Miserable automobile..." Jack muttered.

"Oh, I'm sorry. Did I break your concentration?" asked a voice oddly similar to Sam Jackson with a robotic tone, "Please, continue."

"Aye, ya'd better be sorry." Jack scoffed. He then froze in place as he turned over to see the giant robot. He screamed in terror as the robot did so as well before they both ran in opposite directions.

"Jack, have you lost it?!" Jaden half-shouted.

"JUST LOOK OVER THERE!" Jack shouted, pointing behind a pile of gold. Hiding behind it was the robot, who seemed to have chosen the smallest pile.

"D'OH!" he cursed.

"HEY, ANOTHER ROBOT!" Bender exclaimed, walking over while each step made a rather audible rattling noise due to how much treasure he stuffed into his chamber. He approached the robot and held out a fist, "Gimme some steel, man!"

The robot's response was to bump fist, or more accurately his finger to Bender's fist.

"Hey, who are you?" Jaden asked.

"I think his name's Bumblebee." Bender answered.

"What makes ya say that?" Jack asked.

"Uh..." Bender said, making a spinning motion with one of his fingers. Bumblebee lowered his head, looking like he'd rather not do this, as he turned around. Right on his hindquarters was a license plate that read 'BMB13B33'.

"Oh." Sora simply said.

"Can you talk, Bumblebee?" Jaden asked.

"XM Satellite Radio...Digital Cable presents...Columbia broadcasting system..." Bumblebee answered.

"So, you talk through the radio?" Jaden asked.

Bumblebee began clapping at that point, "Thank you, you're beautiful! You're wonderful, you're wonderful!"

"I think that's a 'yes'." Sora said.

"But this being against God's will be stallin' us from the object that our liberator so greatly desires." Jack stated.

Jaden thought for a second before asking Bumblebee, "Hey, we're looking for a wand! Can you help us find it?"

Bumblebee nodded and made several mechanical whirring sounds before shifting into his Camarro form, his doors opening up.

"I guess that's a 'yes'!" Jaden grinned, stepping into the driver's seat.

"SHOTGUN!" Sora shouted, jumping into the front seat.

"Fine, more room to jam loot in back here, anyway." Bender said, stepping in with Jack. The car took off as Bender continued hoarding treasure.

The car ride continued through the cavern. Bumblebee seemed to know where he was going, honking at Jaden when he tried touching the steering wheel. They then arrived in a large chamber, with a staircase that extended all the way to a bright light coming from the ceiling.

"Well, let's go." Jaden said, walking by as he took a step up.

Sora made to follow him, but Bumblebee changed into his robot form, shoving Jack, Bender, and the loot out before running to block Sora's path. He then let out a loud 'wrong' buzzer. Sora looked at the giant robot, confused, but Jaden said, "I think I'm supposed to do it solo, dude."

"Okay then." Sora simply nodded.

"We're in the money, we're in the money..." Bender sang, looking over all the gold, which Jack was doing his best not to touch.

"I hate this cave." The pirate muttered.

Jaden began ascending, singing softly to himself, "Game on, get your game on! C'mon just battle, play your cards right..."

He looked down to see he had already gone up a good deal, gulping at the height and returning his gaze to the bright light. He then resumed his ascension, getting closer and closer. However, his shoe caught on the edge of the next stair up and he lost his balance! He yelled, falling off the side, but barely catching onto the edge!

"JADEN!" Sora shouted, trying to get closer, but still being blocked by Bumblebee.

Jaden looked terrified as he clung to the edge, clawing to get a better grip. He then pulled himself back up, panting for breath as his heart still beat a mile a minute. He seriously considered going back down to the others and saying that they should leave. But then, he thought of Alexis and the simple fact that he could lose her forever. A look of determination crossed his face as he stood up and resumed climbing. After what seemed like forever, he arrived at the top and put his hand into the light. He felt something and pulled it out.

The object being a black wand with a gold star at the very tip.

"This is it?" Jaden asked, walking down the stairs, "We came all this way for THIS? Guy's gotta have a few screws loose..."

"Well, he's safe, let's get ready to get out with our ill-gotten fortune." Bender said, using his arms to gather up all the stolen treasure as Bumblebee shifted back into his car form. Sora stepped into the car as a single coin fell out, "Oops!"

"I got it." Jack said, reaching down to pick up the coin.

"JACK, NO!" Jaden shouted as he jumped off the last three stairs and at the pirate.

He was too late.

Jack had picked up the coin and rose to his full height. Everyone had a solid second to realize just what he had done.

"THIEVES!" came the booming voice of the Portal.

"The ONE time I try bein' helpful..." Jack muttered, "I'll NEVER be polite again, I promise to you all."

"YOU HAVE TRIED STEALING THE FORBIDDEN TREASURE!" the voice boomed. The coin in Jack's hand burst into flames, causing him to yell and drop it in surprise, "NOW, YOU SHALL REMAIN IN LIMBO FOR ALL ETERNITY!"

The treasure in Bender's arms suddenly caught fire as well. The robot tossed them away as he screamed and jumped into Bumblebee, followed by Jack and Sora. The entire cavern suddenly filled with a bright blue light.

"I KNEW he'd mess this up!" Sora shouted.

"Not now, Sora! Get us outta here, Bee!" Jaden yelled.

"Meep-meep!" Bumblebee said in a voice similar to the Roadrunner as he took off through the cave.

Suddenly, the rocks began to break free and fall from the ceiling. Sora looked out and summoned his Keyblade.

"You drive, I'll clear the way." He said, tossing his Keyblade at the debris and breaking it to small pieces.

Bumblebee continued to drive as Sora continued to use Strike Raid to clear the path. They saw the portal, which was growing smaller by the second. Bumblebee screeched to a halt before letting the group out, transforming, and grabbing the portal and forcing it wider. Jaden ran out and saw the old man waiting for them. Bender and Sora remained behind to push the portal open a little more. However, Jack ran out after Jaden.

"Do you have the wand?" He asked.

"Yeah, it's right here." Jaden said, holding out the wand.

"At last!" the man exclaimed, taking the wand and saying, "Unfortunately, you are of no further use to me..."

The man drew a katana and slashed out at Jaden, who jumped back just in time to dodge it.

"What're you doing?!" he shouted.

"Just giving to you your reward." The man replied, grabbing his face. He then tore it off, revealing the pure white skin and oily, black hair of Orochimaru, "Your eternal reward!"

A terrified look crossed Jaden's face as Orochimaru readied the katana again. However, instead of attacking Jaden again, he hurled the sword at Bumblebee.

"BEE!" Jaden yelled. The sword slashed through the robot's leg, causing him to faulter.

"The deepest circle of Hell is reserved for back-stabbers and traitors, you pale-skinned freak of nature." Jack stated, pulling out his cutlass...but quickly remembering that part of it was cut off. He growled before pulling out a flintlock and firing it at Orochimaru, who side-stepped the musketball easily. He then lunged at Jack and grabbed the pirate by the neck. In a flash, he grabbed Jaden as well.

"This is why pirates are inferior to ninjas." Orochimaru stated, tossing the two into the portal. They hit Sora and Bender, knocking them inside just as Bumblebee fell down, causing the portal to collapse. The guardian then sank into the ground once more. Orochimaru let out a loud cackle as he shouted, "I did it! I HAVE IT AT LAST!"

Orochimaru then searched his robe for the wand...but found nothing.

"What?! How did-" he shouted. He then remembered what happened just seconds before. That pirate could have quickly...

At that point, Waspinator fluttered out.

"So, did Orochimaru get wand?" the Predacon asked.

"Perfect timing..." Orochimaru snarled, looking at Waspinator with an enraged look.

"Uh oh." Waspinator simply said before Orochimaru grabbed him.

Alexis walked back into the Hokage's building and lowered her hood. She slumped down as Aleu ran over to lick her face. At that point, Mr. Krabs skittered over.

"Lexi, where've ya been all day?" he asked.

"Out looking for someone." Alexis replied, standing up as Kairi walked over.

"Who?" Kairi asked.

"A boy and his friends. Orochimaru ordered them arrested." Alexis answered, walking to her room with Aleu walking right next to her.

"Hmm...there might be somethin' I can do..." Mr. Krabs said to himself.
