It's Tokka week! Yay! :D Here's my fic for day one's prompt, "bending the rules." Actually got it done in one day, which is weird for me. Very dialogue heavy, though. Maybe that's why.

"Okay, okay, never have I ever… had sex with my shoes on."

"Lame."

"C'mon, Shin."

"Yet you both drank," noted Sergeant Shinta as the pair of captains glared at him. "You bad girls."

"See if I recommend you for promotion," Captain Chou muttered. She looked to Sokka, the unusual addition to their after work drinking group, and threw up her hands. "And you still hardly touched your drink! Guess the chief was right about you, councilman."

Sokka grinned and raised his eyebrows. "In what way?"

Captain Emi laughed, "She told us you really don't get out much."

"The curse of politics, kids," said Sokka with a shrug. "One day you wake up and discover you've got a reputation to uphold, and you're not allowed to do anything fun anymore. That's why we're all such dry, boring bastards."

"You'll also find," Toph cut in as she returned with a fresh drink, "that I am always right. Isn't that right, Sokka?"

"Right," he affirmed as the chief plunked herself down in the booth beside him.

"Chief, you gotta help us out here," Shinta whined. "We can't get anything on this guy. He's too good."

"Yeah, you've gotta have something on him from the old days. Give us a hint."

Toph put her hands up. "Don't look at me. You're gonna have to win this on your own." She took a sip of her drink, then grinned a wicked grin. "What you're clearly lacking is incentive.

"New rule–"

"Hey, you aren't even playing! You can't make rules!"

"Sokka, I thought you understood that "I'm always right" concept. New rule: If all three of you get him to drink this round, your tab is on the councilman." She ignored Sokka's noises of outrage and continued, "If one of you fails, you ante up for his drinks for a month."

The three officers grinned. "Sounds good to me," Chou said. "Alright. Never have I ever been to the South Pole."

Sokka took a drink, glaring at her. "That shouldn't count. It's too easy."

Shinta cracked his knuckles. "Never have I ever worn a dress."

"That was one time!" Sokka said with indignation. "How do they even know about that?"

Toph cackled as Sokka took another drink. "Wasn't me, Snoozles. You can blame your ex for spilling that story."

Emi, Shinta, and Chou huddled together, whispering conspiratorially to determine their winning move. Finally, Emi leaned forward, and declared, "Never have I ever made out with Chief Bei Fong."

The officers waited with bated breath as the councilman gave each of them a stony look. Then he smiled and leaned back against the booth, folding his hands behind his head. "Sorry, kids."

"What!"

"Oh come on!"

"You're joking!"

Sokka knocked on the table as though he were trying to call order to a council session. "Hey, now, I didn't make the rules. You can thank your chief for–" His words were cut off when Toph grabbed the front of his shirt and pulled him down for a rough kiss. Sokka immediately dropped all thought of the conversation. His arms wound around her waist as he pulled her closer, matching her ferocity. It was only when the officers overcame their stunned silence to whoop and whistle that they broke apart.

"You didn't expect me to let my officers down, did you? Now Sokka," said Toph, "I believe you owe these fine people a round."

"I'm not sure that counts," he said, panting a little. "That was technically after the round was over–"

"Sokka."

"Right. Always right." He got up dizzily to go order another round.
