A/N: I know it has been much too long, but I was on the YJ Anon Meme and this popped into my head.

Also Zatanna hasn't moved in yet.

"Artemis!" M'gann floated quickly over to her friend, who was polishing her arrows. She looked up and quirked an eyebrow at the array of nail polish M'gann was holding.

"Yeah?"

"It's an Earth tradition for female friends to paint each other's nails! Wendy and I went to the mall and I bought many colors! There's red, blue, green—"

"Ah, M'gann?" Artemis cringed. Her friend was not going to like this. "I'm not exactly one for doing nails. You know, actually, my boots tend to rub the nail polish off, so there wouldn't really be a point in getting them done." Not a complete lie.

M'gann's face fell, and Artemis instantly felt bad. "I guess—"

Artemis' phone suddenly went off. She looked down at it and sighed. "It's a text from Green Arrow. There's a robbery going on. I gotta go help him. Sorry." She truly did feel sorry.

"Oh! It's okay! You go help him! Maybe I can get Conner to do it with me." He wasn't exactly a female, but surely he would do it with her!

Artemis held back a snort. "Yeah, you go find him. I'll see you later."

"Conner!" Conner paused and steadied the punching bag. He eyed M'gann warily as she came in carrying a bunch of little, colorful bottles in her arms.

"Yes?" M'gann beamed and floated closer, holding up the bottles near his face.

"It's an Earth tradition for female friends to paint each other's nails! Artemis is busy though, and there are no other female superheroes on this team." She paused. "I guess Black Canary counts, but she isn't here."

Conner was confused. "Girls paint nails? Why?"

"It's supposed to be fun! It's a great bonding experience!"

"But I'm not a girl."

M'gann's grin began to fall. "I know, but since Artemis can't do it, I thought maybe you would."

Conner was silent. He carefully picked up one of the bottles that M'gann held and studied it. He went to twist the cap on the bottle and promptly shattered it, splattering blue polish on the both of them.

M'gann's grin fell completely as they both stared at the remains of the bottle. "I can—I can find someone else to do it. If you don't want to."

Conner nodded, feeling that that was best.

"Kaldur!" Kaldur paused in his laps and looked up to see M'gann floating in. There were splatters of blue on her face and arms and she was grinning as she carried strangle, colorful bottles in her arms. He swam to the edge of the pool and hoisted himself up.

"Yes, M'gann? Can I help you?" M'gann nodded quickly, still grinning.

"Yes! It is an Earth tradition for female friends to pain each other's nails! Artemis is busy and Conner broke one of the bottles so I can't do it with them, so I thought maybe you'd like to do it with me."

"Is it all right to do this even if I am not a female?"

"Maybe? I've never seen boys do it on TV."

"All right, then I will paint nails with you."

They both sat on the ground by the pool, and M'gann pulled out a red bottle that match Kaldur's shirt. "I thought that this color would look really nice on you."

Kaldur smiled. "Thank you. I'm sure it will."

M'gann began to paint Kaldur's thumb, when it suddenly broke out into hives wherever the nail polish touched his skin. "Oh!"

Kaldur looked down at his thumb, frowning. "It appears that I am allergic."

M'gann pouted. She had finally found someone to paint nails with and he was allergic! "It's okay." She put the cap back on the bottle. "I don't want to hurt you by making you do this. Maybe Wally will want to." She was hoping he'd want to.

Kaldur smiled again. "I apologize for not being able to help you. I last saw Wally in the kitchen if you wish to go find him."

"You don't need to apologize! It's not your fault! And thank you!" M'gann beamed at Kaldur but frowned as soon as she left the room.

She had been so close!

"Wally!" Wally's head snapped up, his mouth stuffed with Miss M's cookies. Was this it? Was she finally going to confess her love to him? He quickly swallowed and sped over to her.

"Hey, Megalicious! What do you have there?" He grinned at her, bits of cookie still stuck in his teeth.

"Nail polish! It's an Earth tradition for female friends to paint each other's nails! But Artemis is busy, Conner broke a bottle, and Kaldur is allergic to the nail polish."

Wally's grin fell. "Uh..." There were a number of thoughts running through Wally's head. One, he was offended that he was the fourth person M'gann came to. Two, he really didn't want to get his nails painted. Three, it was for M'gann... Four, he really really didn't want to get his nails painted.

"I'd love to, but as you said, it's female thing to do. Guys don't do that sort of thing."

M'gann's shoulders slumped. "Oh, okay. Maybe I can wait for Artemis to come back."

Wally snickered at the thought of Artemis doing actual girly things. "Yeah, wait for Artemis to come back. If you need me, I'll be at the store buying more food. See you later!"

M'gann sighed as Wally sped out of the kitchen. What was it going to take to find someone to paint nails with her around here?

Robin was busy with his computer when M'gann floated in, drooping. She was looking at the ground as if somebody had kicked a puppy. Robin set his computer aside and tilted his head. "What's up, M'gann? Not feeling the aster?"

M'gann smiled for a moment before frowning again. She held up the nail polish. "I've seen on TV that painting nails with female friends is an Earth tradition. I wanted to try it, but Artemis was busy, Conner broke a bottle before we even started, Kaldur is allergic to nail polish, and Wally said that boys aren't supposed to get their nails painted."

"I'll paint nails with you if you want."

M'gann's head snapped up and a smile started to form on her face when it suddenly fell once again. "But Wally said that boys aren't supposed to paint nails or get their nails painted."

Robin rolled his eyes. "Wally's stupid, but if it helps, I only have female friends at school. Trust me, I've been doing nails with girls since I was ten." Robin walked over and looked over the bottles. "You mind if I have the blue? It's my favorite color."

M'gann beamed. "Of course! I think blue would suit you very well! I was thinking of doing pink. I have this one color that matches my civilian outfit..."

Bonus:

Bruce glanced at Dick and quirked an eyebrow at his sparkly blue fingernails. "Barbara?"

Dick grinned. "M'gann actually. No one else could or wanted to paint their nails with her."

Bruce couldn't help but smirk. "Are you going to get it off before school tomorrow?"

Dick shrugged. "It wouldn't be the first time I went to school with painted nails."

"Just try not to let the villains see it."

A/N: Weird ending, but whatever. Also, I have been working on In Justice We Fall, but I've also been really sick and really busy. I have two tests next week and my parents are visiting this weekend so I won't really have time to work on it, but afterwards I definitely will!

Love,
