Just something I rustled up on the spur of the moment. It's short, very short, but i felt like writing something about the Aliea kids :D Enjoy~

The Aliea meteorite had many side effects on the many members of Sun Garden who used it. Vomiting, headaches, dizziness…each team's players all seemed to react in a different way to the meteorite. But there was one ramification shared by all. Forgetting.

They forgot what things were like before they were caught up in a frenzy of desiring only power, power and power. Before all their attentions were focused on becoming the best, or in the case of the lower rankers, trying not to be defeated shamed and exiled. And when they were defeated, their senior master rank captains had no qualms in ruthlessly exiling them, with no thought for the days when they used to play with each other, carefree and happy.

When they were small, they were all friends weren't they? Even Burn and Gran, Nagumo and Hiroto then, despite their arguments and fights, could depend on each other when they needed it. They weren't split into sides, current Diamond Dust players mingled with Gemini Storm ones, Gaia and Epsilon and Prominence.

And Reize. The small innocent character he had been was pushed aside, replacing it with a cold hard exterior. Even his old 'Earth has a saying that goes like this' was no longer sweet and amusing alongside his cold sarcasm- it was simply harsh and cruel.

Desarm, formerly the big brother of them all, commanded his team brutally and without hesitation- no order was to be questioned. Burn saw everyone as an enemy, even Gazel. Gazel, who he had helped when she had first come to the orphanage, traumatised and alone. And even though Hiroto acted sweet and caring, hadn't he betrayed Endou when he pretended to be his friend? Hadn't he and his team hurt so many of Raimon's players mentally? Endou, Fubuki, Kazemaru…

The meteorite had many side effects, but forgetting was the worst.

A/N~ Gazel is mentioned as a girl. I watch the original japanese episodes but i did think she was a girl when i saw her. Bear with me on this one :P

EDIT: Let me explain that a bit better in reply to a review. I know Gazel is a boy and I've checked the Wiki. But s/he's also female in the english dub, and since the only yaoi pairing I really like is Sakuma/Kidou, I tend to use Gazel as a girl.
