Dimitri's POV
My eyes widened. "Katya. Let her go." I moved so I stood more in front of Rose not trusting either one to go at each other. And to get closer to Viktoria, I knew I wouldnt be able to win a fight with her.
"Oh, I'm sorry have you already forgotten? You don't make the rules around here. I do. I need dear little sister Viktoria, so I'll be leaving with her and you can have the other kid and Lissa back. She really not worth anything."
"Hey!" Rose shouted behind me, I quickly grabbed her arm as she tried to push past.
"Don't." I said bearly glancing her way. Immediately Rose backed down, thankfully. Upon seeing this Katya threw back her head and laughed.
"Honestly, how no one believes theres more to your relationship is beyond me." She smirked at me, "The mind is a powerful tool."
"Wait! Can I talk to Viktoria for a few seconds?"
Katya sighed impationatly, I took that as a yes. I crossed the distance between us and held Viktoria in my arms. She at first flinched at my touch but soon relaxed. Katya let her arm go as she tried to put her arms around me.
"I've missed you brother." She whispered, in Russian, I could bearly hear her she was so weak.
"Can't you take me instead?" I called to Katya.
"No." She replied, bored.
"You're going to be fine, okay? I'm going to find you, you gonna go home, and grandmother is going complain that you took to long getting back. You're going to be fine." I said looking straight into her eyes.
"Thank you." She said weakly smiling.
I'd barely let Viktoria go and just like that . . . She was gone.
L POV
She took Viktoria, I hudled on the floor with Paul, he hadn't stopped crying since Katya had taken her. Understandable, hes only young, been kidnapped from his family and now a stranger has taken his auntie.
"It's alright." I whisphered over and over to him, hoping it would help.
He was shivering in my arms, I had wrapped multiple blankets around him and me but it didnt seem to make a difference. There was a fireplace but no wood, I didn't bother looking outside, the door was locked last time I checked and I didn't have the energy.
I shut up when I heard movement outside, I didn't bother moving it had never made a difference before. I watched, waiting for her to appear as the door opened, I could just make out the outline of two figures, they rushed foward and I pulled Paul closer.
"Go away Katya."
"Lissa its Rose and Dimitri. Katya's gone." They stopped moving waiting for me to recongnise them, I could bearly make other there faces in the darkness.
"Rose? Oh God! Dimitri! He's so-" I tried explaining, revieling Paul under the layers. "He's freezing, I can't do anything. Oh God!" I started crying as well, a mixture of all my feeling, relief, disbelief, sadness, happiness. I got up and through my arms around Rose. I'd missed her so much.
R POV
Dimitri quickly rushed us all of to the hospital, we were there in no time. It was chaos Lissa was checked first and put on a drip among other things for malnutrition and possible frostbite, Paul was rushed off along with Dimitri so they could both be treated, and I was taken to my own examination room.
I was treated by a nurse I hadn't seen before, which I took as a good sign that I hadn't been here enough to recongnise everyone, and as I suspected, I was fine completely totally fine. I was out the door tye second she said I was free to leave. I rushed to Lissa's room, wanting no needing to make sure she was okay. I wouldn't forgive myself if she wasn't.
I entered her room, figuring no one else was there, she looked better, it was probably the lack of blood that took the biggest toll on her.
"Hey Liss." I said gently placing my hand over hers.
"Rose?" She asked stirring from her sleep. "Are you okay?"
"Yea, completely fine, what about you? You look better already."
"Eh, I don't feel it. Paul, he's okay? Right?"
"I don't know, I came right here after being checked out. Do you want me to go find out?"
"Yes, I wouldn't be able to handle it if something happened, he's so young, he was hysterical when Viktoria-" she cut herself off, "Never-mind, just go please?"
"Wow Liss I didn't know you hated me that much," I smiled and rose from my seat, "Love ya." I quietly shut the door and walked to the desk.
A 30-something year old woman sat filtering thru a rather daunting stack of papers. I sympathised for her. "Excuse me, I'm looking for Paul Belikov? Would you know what room his in?"
"Are you family?"
"Yes," I lied, honestly I didn't know why people didn't do it more in the movies? Like seriously what are they going to do? A full fledged back ground check in the 5 minutes, then throw you in prison for 9 years?
She looked up skeptically, raising an eyebrow.
"Aunt." I explained, stretching mine and Dimitri's relationship to the max.
Reluctantly she looked it up on the computer placed next to her pile. "Room 9. Visiting hours end soon."
"Thank you." I replied smiling to her before heading off. I looked around, radiology, and something called central clinic, sat on top of two signs pointing opposite directions. I thought I was already in the central clinic, but apparently not. I wondered the halls getting no-where. I fond myself outside the main exit, the place was a maze, and I hated it. I realised, Lissa was in a room, Paul was probably nearby. I quickly found my way back to Lissa, looking in she was sleeping peacefully. I effortlessly found Paul from there, I softly open the door, hoping not to wake him, if he was asleep.
I could make our the silohote of two people slumped in the chairs nearby, clearly exhausted. Stepping up to Paul's bed I could see one was Dimitri the other was Karolina. I could see Dimitri was wide awake watching protectively over both of them.
"How is he?" I stage whispered, trying to be quiet but be heard. Paul gently sturded, quietly I crept around so I was standing next to Dimitri.
"Exhausted, but mainly okay, they want to keep him overnight just incase. I actually think Karolina's worst, the stress took a huge impact on her. I don't think she would even be asleep right now if I wasn't here watching."
"How are you? You looked like you had a lot of blood in your hair."
"It's nothing."
"Sure, slight concussion, banged head, it's nothing." I said sarcastically, "It's not like you could get brain damage or anything."
He just gave me a 'really?' look.
"It's a scratch, head wounds bleed the most, which you would know with your extensive knowledge of the body and being in hospitals."
"That explains how I know that but how do you?" He was going to give me another look when we heard a comotion in the corridor, both of us raced out in time to see a bed being pushed away with a very hysterical patient on top. I looked anxiously to Dimitri. Viktoria was the patient.
