1 – Thanks Ann!

2 – YGO Zexal is not mine!

3 – Hope someone like it…

The days were never the same. Some were calmer than the others, not bringing any surprises, to the point where they were monotonous. However, some days kept events of great magnitude that could change a life, were it for good or bad.

Yuma woke up early in that cloudy morning. Carefully, he got off the net where he slept, leaving the wool blanket behind. Using his tip toes, he grabbed the frame that contained his most precious picture: the one that had molded the image of his parents, happy, smiling, together.

Each time the red eyes passed over the remembrance, a warm feeling traveled through the boy's body. It was like a hug, a very tight one that made him feel important, and at the same time remind him of how far his parents were.

The great truth was that, despise his efforts, Yuma never accepted the absence of those who gave birth to him. Every morning brought the speck of hope that, if he looked out the window, he would see the two familiar figures, waving, smiling, telling how sorry they were for disappearing, and that they would make out for the time lost.

A smile grows up on the boy's lips, just like the grip on his heart, but he couldn't lose so much time, after all, great thing awaited for him.

Dressing the usual pajamas and a jacket with a hood, Yuma left the house the more quietly he could to not wake his sister, grandmother or Obomi.

The sky was still dark, with a thick fog covering any light the starts tried to emit, becoming a frightening environment, but nothing that discouraged the teen.

After getting near the end of a tree, Yuma kneeled, placing the frame on the ground, just like the two incenses he had on his pocket, lighting them with a little difficulty.

Smiling, the red eyed boy removed his necklace with the pendant in a shape of a key, positioning it in front of the picture. That moment the blue being that always accompanied Yuma materialized.

- What are you doing, Yuma? – he asked in his monotonous voice, facing the small improvised altar the other was doing.

- It's for daddy – he answered, joining hands with force.

Before the bluish creature could impeach anything, Yuma stared at him with a smile.

- It's his birthday, and wherever he is, I will congratulate him! – with that he closed his eyes.

Astral knew humans believed a lot in the power of thought, so much that they could reach someone who not even belonged to that world.

Quietly, the alien joined Yuma's prayers, even though he didn't understood the boy's desired, he felt good being able to share such special moment with him, knowing that day was not destined to have much adventures, but, still, it would be recorded in the Tsukumo's memories as something precious.

"Happy birthday".
