Epilogue

The air around her was clearer and even more enjoyable. She thought that maybe the pregnancy was accentuating everything around her, even the flowers looked even more beautiful. The baby moved inside her womb and Loki's hand came to rest on top of her swollen belly while she rested her head on his lap, the garden before her looked as gorgeous as before and she was enjoying every second of it.

"I've been thinking," she whispered, her hand resting on top of her husband's. "If the baby is a girl we could name her Jasmine, like the flower. What do you think?"

"I think it sounds lovely, my love."

"And if it's a boy we could name him…" she stop midsentence when a pang of pain hit her back all of a sudden, She slowly rise up, sitting upright. Loki frowned at her actions, watching her as she touched her belly and looked down at her feet, pale as ever.

"Are you alright?"

"I…think my water just broke" she whispered, looking frightened. Loki stood up quickly, holding her hand between his. "Loki, the baby is coming."

She freaked out, her heart beating faster and her forehead sweaty. Loki looked strangely calm though she really thought he was as nervous as she was.

"It's ok, everything is gonna be fine." He held her up but once again pain took over making her sit down again.

"I can't…"

"Don't worry, I'm gonna take you inside ok?"

He took her in his arms, cradling her against his chest as she let out a cry of pain. He ran inside towards their room, calling everyone's attention. He carefully lay Natasha down on the bed as a very nervous Domé followed suit.

"Is everything alright, Prince Loki?" she asked, watching as Natasha breathed in and out while he stood by her side holding her hand.

"Call the healer, the baby is coming." he spoke his eyes fixed on his wife to notice the young maid running out again.

Five minutes, eternal to Natasha, the healer showed up. Preparing himself to deliver the child. Natasha let out another loud cry, giving Loki's hand a hard squeeze.

"Everything is going be fine, my love. I promise" he whispered, trying hard to soothe her pain and the fear written on her face.

"I'm scared…" she admitted, for the first time. Though she had been through a lot of pain in her agent years, between broken ribs, gun shoot wounds and several cuts, nothing compared to the pain she was going through even though it wasn't was exactly scared her.

"Don't be. I'll be here by your side, nothing is going to happen" he promised, kissing the back of her hand.

"Alright my lady, I need you to give me a big push, okay?" the healer spoke, standing between her legs. "Now push"

PUSH.

She took deep breaths between pushes, lying down on the bed for a few seconds until Loki pulled her up again. Sweat ran down her forehead; her hair getting sticky around her neck.

"Another big push!" the man yelled.

PUSH.

Tears ran down her cheeks, she sobbed uncontrollably, feeling her body going weak for a minute. Loki whispered by her side but she was so tired she couldn't quite comprehend what was he saying. She was so tempted to close her eyes.

"I can't…I can't do it…" she sobbed. Loki wiped the sweat off her forehead and kissed her.

"Of course you can my love, you're strong. You can do it." He encouraged her to move. He was right, she was strong, and she had to do this for her child.

She breathed in again, gathering all the strength within her. The last push came with a loud yelling and a hard squeeze on Loki's hand. Then a faint cry filled the room, a cry not coming from her…

"It's a girl." the healer called. Wrapping the tiny infant in a blanket, Natasha peeked desperate to see her child and cradle her in her arms, but she was tired again her arms were unable to reach for her so she looked at her husband, who to her surprise was as teary as she was.

"A baby girl." he whispered, raising up from his spot and walking towards the healer, taking their baby in his arms. "Jasmine..." he looked at his wife, smiling widely. "she is beautiful Natasha"

"I wanna hold her," she spoke, sitting upright in the bed slowly. Loki sat next to her, handling little child to her. She cradled her in her arms, closer to her chest and touched her chubby cheeks with her fingertips. "Hi sweetie, hi baby, I'm your mommy." she whispered, the baby stirred at the sound of her voice, barely opening her eyes at her. "She has your nose." she told Loki, who looked at his child with proud.

"She has your lips and she is gorgeous, just like you" he spoke to her and she sobbed at his words. "I love you"

"I love you too" she said quickly, tears slowly running down her cheeks. "I love you both so much"

The family came in later. Frigga cried at the sight of her granddaughter and told Loki how much she looked like him when he was a baby, he wasn't sure if she was actually telling the truth or not since she wasn't his birth mother, still he was grateful for her words. Odin remained silent but he still looked proud and a little bit teary for his son. Thor, on the other hand, promised Loki no one would ever hurt his niece and even swore he would teach her how to fight, Loki couldn't disagree for he would do the same.

Natasha smiled happily for she was finally getting what she always dreamed of; a family.

THE END!
