Hi guys! :) I hope you enjoy this story! I really like all of the Rose and Scorpius fanfics, so I thought I would really like to try one... :P The first chapter is when they are only ten, but don't worry, I'll skip forwards a few years soon, just after the sorting and the first day, so the first 2 chapters. :)
Enjoy! :D

Scorpions in the Train
I watch glumly as the Hogwarts Express rolls down the track, slowly gaining speed. Fred, James, Roxanne, Dominique, Victoire and Teddy all wave at their younger cousins, but I don't answer, preferring to glare at their retreating figures for going to Hogwarts before me.
Of course, I'll be going next year, but I just can't wait! Not to mention that while my cousins will all be at Hogwarts learning, charms, potions and spells, I'll be in a muggle school learning Math and Grammar. Ugh! So unfair!
As the train disappears from sight around the corner, I hear a sigh next to me, and turn to see Scorpius Malfoy, also gazing down the railway line longingly. He must have come to see off his older sister, Luciana. I observe his face, and can't quite help thinking that he looks almost cute when depressed like that. That is, until he catches my eye and smirks knowingly.
"Admiring me, Weasley?"
All of my sympathetic thoughts disappear in a flash, "Oh sod off Malfoy! As if I would ever think of you as bloody cute!"
He raises an eyebrow at me, "Who said anything about me being cute?"
Busted... "Nobody, I simply assumed that you thought that if I were admiring you it would be because you look cute when you're depressed." Damn, did I just say that aloud?! SHUT UP ROSE!
His smirk is the most annoying thing in the world, particularly now, "I'm glad you think I'm cute, but I don't date gingers." I swear I almost slap that smug expression off his face.
"Sod off Malfoy!" I repeat, "As if I would even consider dating a bloody deluded idiot like you!" I then storm off toward my large family, and hit Hugo's head, just to let off some steam.
One year later.
I can barely contain my excitement as Teddy helps me drag my suitcase up the stairs and into the Hogwarts express. I hug him as thanks once he's moved it into the compartment where all of my cousins are, and he leaves me there with them.
I stay in the compartment a while longer, chatting with Roxanne, and then start to head down to the platform. I pass a compartment where I see Teddy and Victoire snogging the faces off each other, and smile to myself. It looks like Al owes me 5 galleons, he had thought they wouldn't get together before Christmas. As if! All summer they had been just dying to kiss, I knew they couldn't wait until the New Year.
I hop down onto the platform, and spot uncle Harry talking to a very fidgety Albus. I'll wait to collect my money, I'm not so evil that I'll announce bad news when he's so nervous... And I don't have any pockets in the dress Mom made me wear. It's probably more for the later reason that I don't inform Albus of my victory yet.
Mom hands me some chocolate chip cookies for the long train ride, and some money to buy myself some sweets. Not that I'll need any once I collect Al's cash, but I appreciate the gesture. Dad also orders me to be extra mean to Scorpius, and I grin at that... I really don't think that will be a problem... I hug my parents and little brother Hugo, who just grimaces and pulls away. I frown at him and ruffle his carefully combed hair as a punishment. I then hug my many aunties, uncles and cousins that aren't going to Hogwarts. My darling little Lily refuses to let me go when it's her turn, and I practically have to pry her off me when the train whistles. I kiss her and her teddy bear, Smoothie, quickly on the top of the head before running over to the train before it pulls away.
I wave to my family from the closest window as the train pulls away slowly, and Lily runs after me, clutching smoothie to her chest and crying freely. Hugo just glares at me, and I make sure to make the smile I address him as annoying as possible.
I regretfully turn away from the window when the train turns the first corner, and get the shock of my life when I see none other than Scorpius Malfoy staring at me.
"What do you want, Malfoy?" I ask aggressively, crossing my arms. He's leaning casually on the wall across from my in the narrow hallway, and is smiling slightly as he observes me.
"Aren't I allowed to admire you, Weasley?"
"As if you're bloody admiring me," I shoot back, "I thought you didn't date gingers."
He cocks an eyebrow in that superior way of his, "I'm flattered that you remember our conversation from a year ago, Red."
"Oh bugger off, you arrogant prat! And don't you dare call me Red again!" I snap, storming off down the hall, my hands clenched in fists at my side.
"Do you want me to start dating gingers, Red?" His smooth voice teases me, but I just stick up a very rude finger at him without turning round, and keep walking down the hall until I arrive at my compartment with my cousins.
The rest of the train ride is very enjoyable with James' and Fred's incessant jokes, and everyone's in a good mood. Albus manages to cheer me up from my conversation with Scorpius, and we all spend a good hour insulting him and listing his many defaults. Surprisingly enough, I have more to say than even Fred, the ultimate Malfoy hater, in this conversation!
About two hours into the ride, there is a small knock on the carriage door, and I leap up to answer it, if only to stretch my legs for a few seconds.
"Hello..." a girl with light blue hair says timidly, "Can I please sit with you? I didn't really like the group I was sitting with before... and... well, you all look quite nice..." She smiles bashfully.
"Yes! No problem." I say, grinning at her. She seems to relax a bit at my words, and I pull her down to sit between me and Albus, "What's your name?"
"Aliza. And before you ask about my hair, it's a potion that my dad messed up... now my hair is kind of like a mood ring, I can't even control it..." she looks embarrassed, but even as she speaks, a few strands of her hair are turning pink.
"Awesome!" James exclaims, "What's pink? And what's blue?"
"Pink is happy, and blue is embarrassed or nervous." she answers, smiling at James' enthusiasm.
James and Fred then drill her for information on all the moods, while Roxanne hits them now and then when they ask something too personal or boyish. We observe her hair slowly turn to a contented light pink, much to the amusement of Fred and James, and talk to her as if she is part of the family.
We buy what feels like a million sweets off the trolley lady, as we call her, and stuff ourselves full of chocolate frogs, Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans, Licorice wands, Jelly Slugs and my personal favorite, Fizzing Whizzbees, which make me levitate a foot off my seat. We try out all of the flavors of beans, and I almost throw up when, on my 10th bean, a flavor that tastes suspiciously like what you would imagine James' dirty socks tasting like invades my mouth... If anyone would ever want to think of that...
Aliza, who isn't used to my huge appetite for sweets like everyone else, seems amazed at the amount of candy I can eat, even after my bad experience with the jelly bean.
We also manage to trick Al into eating a Cockroach Cluster, and our laughter invades the whole compartment when his eyes widen comically and his cheeks bulge from the flavor.
In all, it is a very enjoyable ride, and me and Aliza get along so well. I am sure that we will be really good friends.
We get changed into our school robes ten minutes before the train stops, but almost don't finish in time because of the ties. None of us first years know how to tie them, and Fred, James, Roxanne and Dominique spend ages showing us how to.
Hagrid gathers all of the first years together, and me and my cousins all chorus his name, waving madly at him. Aliza's eyes simply widen at his size. He waves at us cheerily, and then leads all of the first years to the tiny boats which we will cross the lake on. I guess it's for dramatic entrance reasons...
Me, Aliza and Al all grab one boat together but, to my horror, none other than Scorpius Malfoy takes the remaining seat.
He smirks at us all, "Hey Weasley and Potter, and weren't you in my cabin before?" He asks, looking at Aliza, "I remember the hair..."
Aliza nods stifly, her hair turning dark blue.
"I don't blame you for leaving, The Parkinson twins really are brats." Scorpius tells her, grimacing, "I don't know why my dad was ever friends with her." Aliza's hair lightens uncertainly, and she looks a tiny bit less stiff.
"Yeah really, did you notice the blonde one's huge nose?" She asks with a small giggle, her hair becoming a tiny bit pink. She and Scorpius then start... talking! One of my friends is actually having a civil conversation with a Malfoy. I scoff at the arrogant brat, and then stubbornly start talking to Albus, refusing to look at Malfoy.
All conversation stops suddenly however, when the Hogwarts castle comes into view. My parents have described it to me so many times, and I've even see pictures of it, but none of those things really do it justice. As we approach it, all of our mouths drop open. It's so majestic, mysterious, romantic... especially in the fading light, with the fading rays of sunlight lighting it beautifully. I sigh when we arrive near the small tunnel in the cliff, and we can't see our future school anymore. We all duck as we pass through the tunnel, and I feel myself becoming slightly sweaty and panicky in the tiny tunnel. My breathing also becomes shallow, and I have trouble taking in air. Damn claustrophobia!
A warm hand squeezes my own in the darkness, sensing my discomfort, and I feel slightly calmer. When we start seeing the light again however, the hand leaves my own, much to my regret. It was probably Al, he knows how bad I am with small spaces.
We emerge onto the other side of the lake, and after about five more minutes the boats hit a grassy shore. We all disembark, and Hagrid leads us across the grounds towards the huge castle that will be our future school. I clutch Aliza and Al's hands nervously, but am so annoyed when I see that Malfoy is walking next to us. Thankfully he is not holding anyone's hand though. I would surely hit him if he so much as touched my new friend. He will probably turn out to be a damn womanizer like his father, and I will not let him touch any of my friends.
We file into the entrance hall, and stare at the sheer size. Luna Lovegood, our future charms teacher, is waiting for us all there.
"Hello, and welcome to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry." She greets us in her slightly dreamy voice. My parents told me that it was even dreamier before the war, but I've always found that hard to believe, "In a few moments, you will go into the banquet hall for the sorting. However I would advise you all to clean up before that, as you will be appearing before the whole school.
Me and Al try in vain to tidy our unruly hair, while Aliza looks sadly at her turquoise blue hair, obviously wishing it could be a bit less bright.
Luna smiles at us all encouragingly, then magically opens the huge doors into the main hall, before leading us in for our sorting.
There we are! I hope you liked this first chapter... ;P Aren't Rose and Scorpius soo cute!? :3
Please review, even if it's to say that it's the crappiest story ever, I just really want to know what you all think of my writing.. :P
I'm not really sure how long this story will be... I guess I'll see once I've written a bit more... :)
Which house do you think Rose will be in? And Scorpius, Aliza and Al? It might be fun to put them in slytherin... ;) or maybe I should stick Scorpius in Hufflepuff... :p
Wouldn't he just hate that?
Anyway, Please review ! :D
See you next chapter!^.^
