A/N:
Boom! Update! Just look at that title! Yep,something is gonna happen ;)

Chapter 7 : Hope You Can Hear Me

"Why was I not informed of her capture?" Xemnas questioned his Heartless counterpart and Young Xehanort.

"Master Aqua's heart is connected to Terra's in more ways than one." Young Xehanort answered.

"We did not disclose her capture to you for fear of letting your situation become…volatile." Ansem continued.

"Volatile?" Xemnas chuckled. "You still fear the return of Terra's heart in my body?"

"It is no laughing matter." Ansem spoke venomously.

"The situation is most delicate and we cannot afford any miscalculations in the plan." Young Xehanort then extended his left hand to one side "Thirteen of Darkness." And then his right hand in the other direction. "Seven of Light. The return of Terra will upset the balance we have tried so hard to maintain."

"Then let me put your fears to rest once and for all." Xemnas summoned Master Xehanort's Keyblade, silencing his allies. "Master Aqua's mere presence has hastened the returned of my heart and it should come as no surprise to you now that there is only one heart that can return to this body." Xemnas de-summoned his newly acquired keyblade and turned his back to leave as a dark portal opened in front of him. "It only stands to reason that the more time I spend with her, the faster my transition from a Nobody to Xehanort."

"It seems that we do indeed hold all the cards in this game." Young Xehanort grinned in triumph. "Very well, I leave Master Aqua to you."

"Use her as much as you can and report back any developments." Ansem added.

"Ofcourse, in the mean time I also expect updates on our little 'friends'." Xemnas smirked and the others joined him.

"We will be monitoring them from afar especially now that they have gained another of the Keyblades Chosen." Young Xehanort said before disappearing along with Ansem while Xemnas ventured into the dark portal.

Master Eraqus returned with a young blue haired girl and led her to the castle where a brown haired boy awaited impatiently for his return.

"Master! I have been waiting for….wait a sec, who is that?" Terra pointed at the girl. Master Eraqus sighed before moving towards Terra and smacking him at the back of his head. "Ouch!"

"Manners Terra." Eraqus scolded his pupil.

"Right, sorry." Terra bowed his head and Eraqus ruffled his hair.

"Good, I leave you in charge of showing her around while I discuss matters with Master Yen Sid." Terra nodded and then the Master left but not before whispering something in his ear. "Be nice to her."

"So…what's your name?" Terra asked the girl. She hesitated but answered nonetheless.

"…Aqua."

"Aqua huh?" Terra examined her appearance from head to toe. "It suits you. Blue eyes, blue hair, blue dress, I bet blue is your favourite colour." Terra laughed but Aqua wasn't amused prompting Terra to scratch the back of his head. "Okay…not much of a talker are you?" Aqua turned around and started to leave. "Hey! Wait a sec!" Terra rushed in front of her. "I'm sorry okay, I didn't mean it like that." Aqua merely nodded at his apology. "Come on, I'll take you to my favourite spot and its perfect at night time." Terra grabbed her hand and led her to a spot at the edge of a nearby cliff. Aqua sat down at the edge along with Terra who pointed at the stars. "See there, so many stars out there. They say each star is a world and that the light is their hearts and its shining down on us all. When I look at them from here and reach out my hand, I feel like just grabbing on to them. Someday, I will go out to the stars and…" Terra noticed Aqua's lack of enthusiasm and sighed. "Sorry for rambling like that about myself. So, how about you? Where's your home?"

"I have no home." For once Aqua did respond and she left him speechless.

"What do you mean?"

"My home was taken over by Heartless. I…I have nothing now." Aqua hugged her knees close and rested her head on them. Terra was shocked to say the least. He felt stupid for the way he had talked to her without knowing anything about her situation. Terra looked up at the sky, deep in thought, wondering what he should say as they sat in silence. Finally, he broke the silence while still looking up at the sky.

"Well…then we have something in common." Aqua's eyes widened as she lifted her head to look at him.

"You're the same?" She asked.

"Yeah but I don't think you have nothing. You got the Master and he may be strict but he is a good guy plus…" Terra scratched the back of his head before continuing. "You got me as well if you want."

"What do you mean?" Aqua asked as her gaze made Terra nervous.

"Ummm I know its not easy…losing your family and friends like that along with your home…I guess what I am trying to say is that I'll be your friend and family from now on and this'll be your new home."

"My new home?" Aqua let out the words, trying to let it all sink in her head.

"Yeah and you wont lose us. The Master is pretty strong and…" Terra stopped when he heard Aqua sob. He let her cry because he too needed to let it all out back then. Terra placed his hand on her back and rubbed it in comfort, silently telling her that he wont leave her alone.

"I…I wont lose you? I wont…I wont lose this home?" Aqua asked Terra between her sobs.

"You wont." Terra patted her head. "The Master will protect us and if hes not around then I will protect you, I promise." Aqua continued to cry while Terra remained by her side. Aqua had lost everything and everyone but now she had gained a new home and a new family. She thought she would be all alone but the Master had found her and now Terra had promised to never leave her alone. She couldn't help but cry. She felt so happy.

Aqua awoke from her sleep and felt the tears on her face. She got up to sit at the edge of the bed.

How long has it been since I dreamed about back then?

The memories along with her current situation wouldn't stop her tears. They fell and Aqua didn't make an effort to wipe them away. She didn't make an effort even when she knew that Xemnas was watching her from behind.

He must be enjoying this.

Aqua got up and tried to leave the room however she was stopped by Xemnas as he grabbed her wrist.

"Let me go!" Aqua demanded but her pleas fell on deaf ears. She tried to struggle out of his grip but couldn't. Xemnas pulled her towards him and wrapped his arms firmly around her, the action taking Aqua by surprise.

What is he doing?

"X-Xemnas? What are you doing?"

"I don't know." Xemnas plainly replied but continued to hold her.

What am I doing? Why am I doing this?

"I suppose I want to know your feelings"

"My feelings?" Aqua asked in confusion.

"You did say that I need feelings to regain my heart. I have none of my own so I thought of you." Aqua soon found her head buried in his chest as his grip tightened around her. "You did say we could share feelings simply through touch."

"I guess I did." Aqua said before closing her eyes. She decided to bury her head even deeper into his chest in hopes of having her feelings reach a heart that wasn't there.

I hope you can hear me Terra.

I…I miss you Terra.

I miss the Master.

I miss Ven.

I don't want to be alone.

Please…don't leave me alone.

Come back to me.

Aqua couldn't help but cry and so she did. She cried without restraint in the chest of a man who had no heart.
