Hiccup and Astrid finished their race. They quickly hopped off their dragons, and they rested in the cove.
"Once again, I win," Hiccup said proudly. Astrid playfully pushed him.
"I let you win," Astrid told him. Toothless snorted in the remark like he was saying 'yeah right', and he lay down in the grass. He watched the two.
"Okay, you let me win," Hiccup said sarcastically. Astrid punched him in his arm, and Hiccup like always expected a kiss.
"I love you," Astrid said quickly and she lay back down. Hiccup was surprised that Astrid said that. He noticed they never actually told each other that. Hiccup looked at Astrid should he say me too? There was awkward silence.
"Be a man," Hiccup thought to himself. He was too embarrassed to say anything, and Toothless looked at him angrily. Toothless pointed at Astrid with his nose like if he was saying 'say something'.
"A-Astrid, I-I-I," Hiccup paused. Could he have looked any stupid? There was an awkward silence again. Hiccup did love Astrid, but why couldn't he say it. "I love you too," Hiccup said awkwardly.
"You're so awkward," Astrid taunted him and Toothless nodded his head in agreement.
"I'm not!" Hiccup protested.
"Is too," Astrid said playfully.
"Maybe a little," Hiccup admitted and lay down in the ground.
"Yeah right," Astrid said.
"Well, maybe a lot," He said.
"That's very true," She playfully said.
"That cloud looks like a dragon," Hiccup said and pointed at the dragon- like cloud.
"That cloud looks like a heart," Astrid said and smiled at Hiccup.
The sun was setting and the day couldn't look more beautiful. They both got closer to each other ready to kiss. They both hit their heads against each other.
"Ow," Astrid said and rubbed her forehead.
"I'm sorry," Hiccup apologized. Toothless pushed Hiccup towards Astrid, and then they kissed.
They lasted a minute now, Toothless got annoyed of this. He was hungry, it was getting dark, and he just got bored. He grabbed Hiccup's vest with his mouth and pulled him away.
"Toothless!" Hiccup protested. "Sorry Astrid," He apologized.
"It's okay, I need to go too," She smiled at him.
Toothless put Hiccup in his saddle, and they flew away.
"Why Toothless!" Hiccup complained. Toothless made cute eyes at Hiccup. "You know it's not working," He said and tried to not look at him. Toothless made his eyes wider and whined sadly. "You know those eyes always get me. Fine, you're forgiven," Hiccup said. Toothless happily flew home.
