She is an ice queen with a heart of stone, or so you thought. She pushes everyone else around and thinks she's better than you, but she knows as well as you do that it's just a lie.

{she's living a lie. her whole life is a lie.}

And when you first got to camp, you wondered why the Aphrodite kids cared so much about their images. They were born beautiful, you know? So why did you let them cake make-up on your supposedly-flawless face and give you clothes and let them praise you when you got home from your quest?

{why, piper? leave that to ice queen, yeah?}

To fit in? To make them like you? So when you stood up to Drew, you wouldn't be Dumpster Girl?

{that's it, isn't it?}

She may not have a heart, or much of one. But the day you found her out, found out her secret? You pity the ice queen, but she doesn't need pity. She needs your support.

And, Piper, she doesn't have a heart of ice. That's why you found her bent over the toilet and later crying in front of the mirror. She loves people so much she's willing to change for you to like her.

{that's the difference between you two.

she'll change for acceptance.

you'll be yourself until you're accepted.}

You tell her she doesn't have to do this to herself, no one cares if she's beautiful.

{"liar," she tells you.}

Maybe, you tell her, maybe they'll like you for you. Maybe, if you liked them, they'd like you.

And she looks you in the eye and she says:

{"maybe."}

And you realize that she needs help, and you vow to help this poor girl who craves love above all other things.
