This is the epilogue of the story. I have taken some small bits and pieces from the more recent episodes. In this story, all is right in the world just cause life sucks and there should be happy endings. Maeve is till alive, Hotch doesn't almost die from the scar tissue, Reid doesn't get shot in the neck and like I said, all is right.
Because I keep forgetting to do this, DISCLAIMER: THE TV SHOW AND THE CHARACTERS UNFORTUNATELY DON'T BELONG TO ME, THEY BELONG TO THE PRODUCERS OF THE SHOW. I SIMPLY ENJOY PLAYING WITH THE CHARACTERS!
Before he could be tried, Allan Cole committed suicide in the middle of night while awaiting transport to the federal prison. He had truly believed that Penelope loved him and wanted to be with him, needed to be saved, but hearing what Hotch had said, and thinking it over while he waited, had taken its toll on his psychosis. He ended up using his clothes to hang himself after the guards had checked on him.
Penelope Garcia and David Rossi had gotten married the weekend following the proposal, feeling like they knew each other enough to take the next big step. It was a simple wedding in Rossi's backyard, like JJ's. Penelope wore a beautiful princess gown that made Rossi's heart stop beating for a second. Only close friends were invited.
The day following the wedding, Rossi took Penelope to his home in Russia to spend their honeymoon and to meet Rossi's siblings who lived there. Everybody got along great, his sisters loving Penelope and finally happy that Rossi had found someone who wasn't a gold digger and who accepted him for who he was, which included the job.
9 months later, Penelope and Dave gave birth to healthy twins. Aaron Spencer Rossi and Jennifer Emily Rossi, named after their godparents and their parent's family members. Two years later, Penelope gave birth to another surprise baby, Derek Jackson Rossi, who brought more joy to the couple.
After much deliberation, Penelope and Dave decided to retire from the FBI and move to Malibu. However, they remained in contact with the BAU and often getting together with them every weekend when they weren't on a case. They were also on call as consultants on a regular basis. Rossi continued with his writing, eventually becoming a bestseller romance novelist. Penelope was known as a computer programmer for federal agencies around the world, creating programs that could save peoples' lives. She also opened a counselling center for individuals in Los Angeles who had suffered loss through crimes.
Aaron Hotchner married Beth Clemmons and together had a baby boy which they named David after his godfather and Aaron's best friend. Aaron remained Unit Chief of the BAU while Beth became an online art dealer, mostly staying at home with the kids while Hotch worked. Jack had been happy at the prospect of becoming a big brother. He liked Beth and was more than happy when they had gotten married.
JJ and Will remained a happy couple, finally giving Henry a little sister, which they named Grace. By the time Rossi and Penelope had moved to Malibu, she was pregnant with her third child. The couple had decided to keep the sex a secret, wanting to know at birth.
Reid had met a woman who was as intelligent as him and who accepted him as who he was. Her name was Maeve. They began dating and moved in together. Marriage and children were not a part of their plans, wanting to wait a few years before getting into it.
After a few years, Emily accepted a job in England, which she took. Due to the nature of their jobs, she couldn't contact them whenever she wanted but they emailed at least once a day.
Following Emily's departure, the BAU welcomed a new addition to the family; Alex Blake. She soon showed she could be part of the team when she solved a murder that almost took one of their own. She and Reid became good friends, often challenging each other at chess matches and cross word puzzles.
Derek Morgan had finally found the woman of his dreams, Natasha, a prosecutor. Marriage was on reserve for both of them since their jobs was important to both, which was why they made a good couple. However, a surprise baby brought happiness to the family. Natasha gave birth a little girl whom they named Alicia.
All in all, the members of the BAU lived a complicated yet happy life. Everything seemed to have fallen into place on a personal level for each member following the wedding of the happy couple, and even if the Rossi's had moved, they remained an integral part of the team and the heart of each of BAU.
Life couldn't be more perfect for Hotch's team, especially for one David Rossi who never thought that one day he would be in love the way he was, and who would have a beautiful family. He felt himself truly happy and blessed and continued to feel that way until his death at the age of 100. Penelope, who was 89, died along with him. The couple were found in their bed holding hands by their children the next morning. They lived a wonderful and happy life together and died happily together having fulfilled life to its fullest together, just like true Soul Mates.
The End.
Here is the end of my story. Hard to believe this is the very first fic I ever posted, took me a good 2 years to finish but finally got around to it. I won't be writing a sequel to this fic, I think the epilogue pretty much sums up the ending. I really hope you enjoy the ending, a little brief yes but I think it's pretty good and ends on a somewhat happy note (if not, let me know).
I would like to thank EVERYBODY that has stuck with this story for these long 2 years, for reading this story, reviewing favoring, and following. I will admit, the first time I posted this, I was a nervous wreck but it's thanks to all of you that I have continued writing and gained more confidence to continue updating and posting new stories! So thank you so much everybody for making me smile on hard days and for appreciating my work! :) :) :)
