Shark Bait.
Chapter Six.
Kisame didn't really know what to do, the figure in his arms seemed to be willing, but he knew that that was probably mostly because the kid had no idea what he was up for. Being beside him every day of the prince's life he knew exactly how many sexual experiences he's had; none. And unless he'd turned into sir fucksalot in these past few weeks the only knowledge the young man had was from his laughable sex-ed. 'The female drops her eggs, then you swim over and fertilize them, and that is how babies are made.' He could still hear the dried up old woman's croaking voice while Itachi nodded in serious understanding, Kisame had been lurking around him, as always, and barely managed to keep from bursting out in laughter. "Kisame? Did… did I do something wrong?" He'd been thinking for too long, damn his slow brain! The sharkman turned his attention back to the person lying next to him; Itachi was worriedly looking up at him, lifting one hand to place on the giant man's shoulder. Their contrast was amazing, Kisame deducted. He'd never really gotten close to a fishperson before; he simply didn't find them all that attractive. And he was built to fuck sharkpeople; the weaker kind seemed to die far too easily to withstand a predator's mating ritual. But he could do this, probably, without tearing the other in half, he just had to keep his head and make sure to take it slow. "No, I'm sorry." He grabbed the smaller hand, marveling at the silky smooth skin, so different from his own, which was thick and scaly. Itachi smiled and crawled up against him, pressing his lips lightly against the other man's blue ones. "It's okay to be nervous, I am too…" He lifted his pale hand and placed it on Kisame's cheek, caressing the tough skin and tracing his large, pronounced gills. Funny how Kisame had them while he didn't, he wondered if the man could breathe air like him. The bigger man gently grabbed the other's hip, coaxing a shaky intake of air and tremble from the younger male. "Are you sure you want this? I don't know what you imagine is going to happen, but I can already tell you that it's going to hurt, a lot. I won't think any less of you if you back out." He sounded like a mushy little homo shellfish, what the hell was happening to him? Big, bad sharkmen are supposed to murder and devour, NOT be all sweet and considerate. But he understood now, it was all Itachi's fault. Ever since the first time the prince approached him, which he probably didn't even remember, he'd been completely devoted; and he didn't even notice it happening.
He'd been only three years old, a fat little boy with a tail too little for him. His mind was developing quickly, but his body lagged behind. Itachi was a shit swimmer; he kept toppling over and bumping into things. And then one day, that thing was Kisame. The child had been tired; it had been a very long day for him. And since his spirit was already an independent one he decided he could make his way back from his father's study to his own room just fine. But of course he couldn't, the boy had gotten lost, was too stubborn to ask for directions and drained all of his energy. He couldn't approach anyone if he wanted to; the boy was shy, introvert and didn't talk to anyone. So he was just floating there, in the middle of the hallway, upside down. And with his last little bit of strength he tried to get upright again, but instead he just torpedo-ed off to the side and into his amused keeper, who'd been silently stalking him as always. Kisame had quickly retracted his spikes and caught the child, at that time he was already as big as he was now, and he could hold the pudgy little body in its entirety in his hands. And that was when it happened, when that little thing stared up at him with those big black eyes while he usually never made eye contact with anyone. And he started to cry, not in the way that little kids usually do, with a lot of wailing and snot everywhere. If that was the case Kisame would've put him out of his misery immediately. No, he closed his eyes, softly started to sob, and reached out to him, with both of his chubby little arms. The sharkman, who didn't know what else to do, awkwardly brought the boy to his chest and patted his back. And Itachi, who was tired, lost and frustrated by his own incapability, wrapped his arms around the big man's neck as far as he could reach, and pressed himself against the comforting warmth. He didn't know the man, but he knew him. He was always there, always watching him toddle around and doing whatever. A dark figure in a dark corner keeping him safe and watching over him. And even now he was there, holding him, giving him the security he needed so badly. Itachi already loved him then.
For some time nothing really happened, Kisame stayed still and only gently rubbed his back, and the boy's sobs slowly died down, until he let out his last little hiccup and fell asleep. Then the man slowly made his way to the prince's bedroom, making sure not to wake him, and safely tucked him in. He didn't know why, but before he left he felt the need to wipe the tears from the child's chubby little cheeks, he probably wouldn't get another chance to feel that incredibly soft skin; resulting in his hand getting caught and being assigned to be a pillow. He couldn't leave; he couldn't pull away from his grasp. The little thing trusted him, needed him; and Kisame decided then never to leave his side.
Itachi tried to keep his head, the way his body reacted to such a simple touch was degrading, what must Kisame think of him, he wasn't anywhere near as naïve as the man seemed to think. "I know what's going to happen, even if I've never experienced it with another, my body still had me waking up in the middle of the night feeling... things, just like any other person." Of course Kisame knew that, though even he had to sleep sometimes, the slightest change in the young man's heart rate or breathing woke him from whatever hidden place he was sleeping in the prince's chamber. He knew all about his nightly 'occurrences', but pretended to be asleep every time. It was a natural thing after all, and he wasn't about to go and disturb him. "Really now…" He grabbed the young man's waist in one hand's steely grip and pulled him flush against himself while using the other to grab a handful of his long, black hair and tilt the young man's head back to force him to face him. He didn't miss the sudden rise in Itachi's body temperature or the way he gnawed on his lip as a sudden surge of desire swept through him. Kisame stared down at him, and Itachi closed his eyes in embarrassment. How many blows could his pride take? The way this man made him feel, just by doing such simple, yet dominating things wasn't normal. But somehow it was, Kisame had always been bigger and stronger than him, it was only natural to feel this way when he was so used to the man being such a strong presence around him, when he wasn't there Itachi felt like a part of him was missing, and he was left defenseless. "Look at me." Kisame's voice was so deep, it fit him perfectly. But he spoke softly now, and the low tones rumbled in the man's chest, Itachi could feel it, and slowly opened his eyes. "How about you tell me what you want to happen next?" Itachi took a deep breath, it was time to man up and show this smug bastard what he's made of, he wasn't some fidgety maiden. "I want this." And he slid his hand down the man's neck, across his chest and onto the front of his thick tail. He didn't stop to breathe, but pressed down on where he knew the skin would pull back. And he knew he'd gone too far. Kisame groaned, thrust forward into his hand and nearly crushed him when he wrapped both his arms around him and squeezed. But Itachi couldn't think about that, he couldn't think about anything when the skin suddenly did pull back and his hand was filled with… a lot more than he was expecting. But he would be brave! "Kisame?" The man growled something that could be considered a 'what?' while Itachi gave him an experimental squeeze and the thing swelled up even more. "I'm not going to survive this, am I?"
The sharkman loosened his grip and pulled Itachi's hand away. "There is a pretty big chance of you bleeding so much I get overtaken by bloodlust and end up accidentally eating you, yes." Itachi wanted to laugh, but the man's tone was serious. Kisame rolled them over, pinning his pale beauty under him, and softly kissed his neck. He already felt a massive urge to sink his teeth into Itachi's soft flesh, and he knew that would only get worse if the kid should bleed. Which was almost a certainty. And even if he stayed in one piece, Kisame had found before that he turned quite murderisch during sex. His partners didn't always survive, even if he had no intention of killing them in the first place. Itachi pushed his groin up against his and he slipped, one of his razor sharp teeth cleanly pierced the frail skin. Itachi didn't even feel it until he saw the blood, "Oh fuck." The moment Kisame tasted the coppery liquid he knew it was over; he pushed himself up roughly and sped off faster than Itachi could even sit up. "Don't go…" He clamped his good hand over his neck, he wasn't bleeding too much, Kisame hadn't hit an artery. But that didn't mean he wasn't bleeding, and it was night now. The sharkman's presence kept most predators at bay, but now he was gone, and they would be able to smell spilt blood from miles away.
Kisame was losing himself, smelling the young man's blood was not enough, nowhere near enough. He wanted to bite him, rip him, tear him limb from limb, break his bones and taste his flesh. And for the first time he hated himself, he hated what he was and what he felt. He hated the horrible monster that he was born to be. He had to stay away, if he just stayed away long enough for other predators to be drawn to his prey he could try and quench his thirst for blood on them instead. Itachi pressed himself into the crevice as far as he could, but that didn't stop them from seeing him. A few small predators snuck through the reef, while a big one approached from above. It was a shark, not a very big one, but a shark nonetheless, and Itachi had no way of taking him on. Kisame was gone and now he was going to die. Suddenly a blur flashed by him, and the smaller predators disappeared while the smell of blood intensified and the shark came closer faster. He stared up at the rows beyond rows of teeth heading his way, and found it funny how they were the exact same as Kisame's, but the big man didn't frighten him at all anymore. He closed his eyes and waited, but instead of being eaten a blue hand clamped around his throat and pulled him away from the impact at the last second. He opened his eyes and smiled. "You came back…" Kisame roughly pulled him towards him and claimed the younger male's mouth before pushing him to the side and greeting the other shark with open arms. Itachi closed his eyes shut tight and pressed his hands over his ears as well as he could, but it was no use. He could hear everything, and for the first time he realized exactly what kind of a creature his lover really was.
It seemed to go on forever, and when something touched his arm he flinched and tried to stumble away. "It's just me, keep your eyes closed." Kisame grabbed his arms and put them around his neck like earlier, before wrapping one arm around Itachi and pressing the other to the back of his neck. They swam away, but Itachi didn't dare to open his eyes, so instead he just stayed still and held on to the other. They travelled for a long time, and after a while Kisame started speaking to him; endlessly whispered apologies while pressing his face into the other's neck and occasionally softly kissing the cut he made. Itachi couldn't speak to him, and after he finally managed to open his eyes all he could do was stare ahead to the endless blue they were leaving behind. He didn't know where they were going and he didn't care, he didn't feel anything anymore, just a deep, painful emptiness.
Itachi didn't know how long they swam, but when Kisame finally started to slow down the water around them started getting brighter, the sun was rising and they were in shallow waters. Itachi finally found his voice again. "Where are we?" Kisame smiled down at him, but all he saw was the deadly weapon those teeth really were. "You'll see soon enough, we're almost there." Suddenly the grey sand below them turned green, as far as Itachi could see, in every direction. They were in a lagoon, and the entire seabed was covered with plants. Kisame slowly came to a halt and Itachi let him go. "I know I scared you, bad… but maybe this can make up for it?" he turned the young merman around, and Itachi momentarily forgot how to breathe. Right in front of him was a group of five manatees, slowly swimming through the plants and grazing their way around. "How did you…" Kisame wrapped his arms around him from behind. "I had nothing better to do than to hang around you for almost 18 years, I remember all the 'amazing' creatures you wanted to meet and I just happened to stumble upon them." Itachi swam towards them, and the sea cows swam away, startled. The young man turned around looking worried. "Kisa… did you…" He almost didn't dare to ask. "No, I didn't eat any, they're just not used to people so they're shy." Besides, the giant beasts were almost entirely made of fat, and a mouthful of fat is disgusting. Just because he didn't eat any here didn't mean he didn't eat any ever.
So for the rest of the day they lay around in the soft green plants, Itachi earned the fat beasts' trust and lazily lay on top of one, letting himself get carried around. He rolled over to look at where Kisame was, and saw him lying face-down into a patch of algae. Itachi called out to him, and he slowly got up and approached him, careful not to scare the sea cows. "Kisame, I need to ask you something, and it's serious." The man nodded and grabbed onto one of the animal's big grey flippers, letting himself get tugged along while Itachi still sat perched on top of the mass of blubber. "What happened today, is that going to happen every time we try to get intimate?" The blue man shook his head. "I was being stupid and hasty. There shouldn't be much of a problem if I've just hunted and eaten, but I was in that tank for weeks, unable to really kill anything, that's why it happened." He slowly placed his hand on the slick black scales of Itachi's fin and looked… uncertain. So Itachi did the only thing he could think of doing, he'd already forgiven the man the moment he came back to rescue him, and after some soft manatee-therapy he felt a lot better in general. So he slid down the cow's side, and into the man's arms. Kisame was surprised, but happy. "You were right about me; I was stupid and naïve, but not anymore. I know what you are and I know what you can do… but I also know that you care about me, you always have, you've always been the one to take care of me and watch over me. Even when I was stupid, pretentious and useless. I kept telling myself that I needed to go back, that I needed to tell people what was going on and 'save the city' like I'm some fucking hero." He chuckled and wrapped his arms around Kisame's neck, who in turn placed his large hands on the other's waist. "But I know now that it doesn't matter, everyone knows what's happening and they don't care. The people in the city don't, and the people in the palace certainly don't. It's probably better if I just leave things the way they are, my own father exiled me over such a petty little thing… I don't want to be a part of all of that wretched nonsense anymore." The big man pulled him closer, wrapping his arms around the slim figure's middle. "Then what do you want?" Itachi smiled. "I like it here, with you… you've made so many of my dreams come true already, and since I'm with you I got to know myself a lot better too… I like myself more this way." Kisame chuckled stupidly, "I like you a lot too…" The younger of the two made a disgusted face. "That was the most terrible thing ever. Really. How cheesy are you going to get?" Kisame wanted to protest, but Itachi decided they'd talked enough and pressed his lips against the other's deadly mouth, and that was enough.
A/N: I realized I absolutely hated how OOC I've made Itachi in this fic, so I tried to correct that a little(and made him a fat kid hehe). Also I hated the pacing, which is why I haven't updated in a while, sorry people, I know I'm terrible. An apology KisaIta oneshot is underway so hopefully you'll forgive my lazy ass someday!
