"If I said I was sorry would you stop giving me the cold shoulder?" Stiles asked desperately, trailing behind Caroline through the halls as she rolls her eyes, not wanting to talk to him at the moment.

"Cold shoulder?" She asks, stopping at her locker not bothering to look at him as she opened it, almost hitting him in the face with the door until he moved to the other side of her.

"Yeah cold shoulder, cold everything actually since you haven't spoken a single word to me since before the lacrosse game," Caroline hums, nodding her head as she grabbed her binder, causing Stiles to sigh, "Which, by the way, is when I was attacked by the Kanima, and had to hold up your alpha," Caroline sent him a look and Stiles quickly shut his mouth though his eyes narrowed right back at her, "Do you realize how heavy he is? I'm sure he's like 95% muscle and he is really heavy, really heavy and really violent even when paralyzed from the neck down." Caroline rolls her eyes as he flails his arms.

"Poor baby," She said shutting her locker as she moved passed him.

"And on top of that! I found out that Isaac's back in school too," He said trailing behind her, "Which means more werewolves, which means more problems."

Caroline made a face stopping in the doorway of the classroom, Stiles nodding his head as he gestured forward glaring when Isaac turns and waves at Caroline, "See, there-, whoa, hey, where are you-," Stiles faltered when Caroline moved to sit beside Isaac who turned to her smiling as she began to speak to him, a wide smile on her face.

Stiles flopped down behind Scott, "We have a problem."

"I think I already know," Scott said back as he turns to face Isaac again him and Caroline stilling speaking jovially, and Stiles shook his head.

"Nope, no, you don't know, you know that he's back but just, just look at that. Look at them." Stiles groans gesturing towards Caroline and Isaac and Scott nods.

"I know."

"You don't know man, you don-,"

"Stiles, calm down." Scott sighed turning back to him rolling his eyes when Stiles threw himself back in his seat crossing his arms over his chest, "I'm sure whatever you did to make her angry isn't going to make her start liking Isaac."

"I didn't do anything!" Stiles shouts dramatically a few of their classmates sending him odd looks as he sunk even further into his seat, plotting all the different ways to kill Isaac.

"Just… let's just get through the day alright?" Scott asks before being interrupted by the sounds of Caroline's laughing, watching Stiles sink even further into his chair and he sighs.

"Alright." Stiles whispers more to himself than anyone, his fingers drumming against the table as he stared at Caroline sadly.

"You okay?" Caroline looks to Isaac when she hears his questions, giving him a look, "Yeah, the whole sensing emotions can go both ways, mine's just dog senses." He mutters, and Caroline smiles weakling, nodding.

"I'm fine,"

"No you're not,"

Caroline sighs, shaking her head as she sinks into her chair, feeling Stiles's eyes on the back of her head, and it was almost like she could feel how worried he was, how scared he was, "There's just… are you worried about something?" She asks, turning her head to look at him.

"Worried about what?" He asked with hesitance, and she sits up.

"Are you scared?" She asks, and he shakes his head, eyes rolling.

"Caroline I think you're getting your own feelings mixed up with ours," Caroline frowns as Isaac flips his book open, shifting away from her.

"Are you lying to me Isaac?" Isaac sighs, raising his head too look at her, "You are. You're lying to me, what's going on? What aren't you telling me?"

"Caroline stop," Isaac snaps, Caroline pulling back some as a few people look at her, and he sighs, "It's nothing okay… I'm just worried about the full moon." He shrugs, "The last one didn't go so well… and this is, this is Erica and Boyd's first."

Caroline frowns, nodding slowly as she reaches over, taking his hand in hers, "Hey, it'll be okay." She whispers, glancing up at the teacher as he shushed them, "Derek's not the… best Alpha, but he's better than the one you could have had." She mutters, seeing him nod as she squeezed his hand.

"Yeah… yeah you're right, I'm sorry."

The class went by slow, Stiles practically burning holes into the back of Isaac's head the entire period while staring at Caroline, catching her glancing back at him a few times before she turned her attention back to her notes. When the class was finally over Scott stood up quickly, sending Stiles a look as he collected his things his best friend watching him carefully.

Stiles raises an eyebrow as Scott walked up to Caroline, who smiled at him.

"Hey, Sco-wait, get back here you! Ah, jerk!" Caroline shouted stomping her foot when Scott snatched her purse, Isaac raising an eyebrow at the whole incident while Caroline stormed away without a goodbye, leaving him and Stiles by each other for a minute.

"If you try anything, any sort of sly move to try an-,"

"I'm not going to try and date Caroline if that's what you're thinking," Isaac said quickly with a roll of his eyes pulling his book bag over his shoulder smirking over at Stiles, "I've got more important things to do today then to flirt with your girlfriend."

Stiles glares as Isaac walks away, before heading out into the hallway after him seeing Scott in the hall, dodging all Caroline's grabs for her purse, "Man come on!" He shouted, Stiles laughing a little as he jogged over to them, Scott handing Stiles the purse, and Caroline glaring at him.

"Walk with us to econ." Stiles instructed, "And no harm will come to your bag." He raises an eyebrow, Caroline glaring even more, then at Scott who moved to stand beside him nodding his head once.

"You guys, we're not in third grade anymore! You can't just," Caroline groans when Stiles hands Scott the bag when she reached for it, "take my stuff!" Scott quickly handed it back to Stiles, who hurried down the hall, Caroline pouting and groaning as she followed him, "and expect me to do what you want." She said in defeat crossing her arms over her chest and Scott whoops in victory, Stiles handing her the purse back.

"Alright," Stiles says walking beside Caroline, Scott on her other side as Caroline adjusted her purse strap back securely, "I only found one thing online called the Kanima, it's a werejaguar from South America that goes after murderers."

"That thing was not a jaguar," Caroline and Scott both said at the same time, Stiles making a face because he always hated when they did that.

"Yeah and I'm not exactly a murderer."

"If you did see it kill somebody, which is probably why it tried to kill you, and it's still probably trying to kill you which means it probably won't stop until you're dead." Scott said quickly, Caroline nodding with him.

"It's probably looking for you right now, you could be the next victim." Caroline sings out, walking with her brother until noticing Stiles stop behind them and sighed, turning to look at him.

"You know sometimes I really begin to question this friendship!" He shouted Caroline rolling her eyes as she moved to walk again, Stiles following in toe, glancing over at her curiously. "Are you going to continue to not talk to me?"

Caroline shrugs her shoulders, Stiles sighing, "You know, our fight isn't exactly entirely my fault," Caroline bit her lip, glancing over at him briefly and saw him smile, "That look right there, see, you know it's not just my fault… So can we please move passed it?" He asks grabbing her hand before she could slip into the classroom. Caroline sighs leaning back against the wall as she looks up at him, "I get it alright, you're not ready… and you, you don't entirely trust me yet, or something."

"Fine." Caroline said, stopping him from rambling anymore and Stiles turns his head to look at her smile, "Fine, no more cold shoulder, no more fighting." She says as he smiles one of her hands moving to rest against his neck, "And please, no more being jealous of Isaac."

"No more being jealous of Lydia then," Caroline narrows her eyes and Stiles laughs some leaning down to press his lips to hers.

"Oh for the love of god, Stilinksi, McCall, do not make out right next to my classroom door!" Coach shouts, Caroline pulling back as Stiles jumps away, nodding quickly, "Get inside, now, and please never make me say that sentence again, it was weird." He said making a face before shaking his head, "I thought you had higher standards than this Caroline." Coach sighed as he followed her into the class room. Caroline looks for Lydia first, frowning when she saw that her best friend had no empty seats next to her, both girls shrugging sadly because of it. So Caroline just went and took the seat behind Stiles, setting her purse down on top of the table as she rummaged through it for her book.

Caroline leans back in her chair glancing over at Jackson when he sat in the desk behind Scott raising her eyebrows at him, "Hey Testicle left and right," Caroline can't help the chuckle that leaves her mouth at what he says, "What the hell is a Kanima?"

Caroline stops her chuckling suddenly at his question, leaning forward in her seat before jumping when Coach slammed a book down on his desk, "Alright listen up, quick warning before we begin our review, some of you, like McCall, penis version," The class snickered at what he says Caroline rolling her eyes as Scott turns to look back at the coach, "Might want to start their own study groups, because tomorrow's midterm is so profoundly difficult," Caroline rolls her eyes as the Coach laughs some, "I'm not even to sure I could pass it."

Caroline glances over at her brother when the Coach asked for volunteers knowing that there was no way that Scott was going to put any time into studying, not with everything life threatening going on in their lives, "Paralyzed from the neck down do you have any idea what that feels like?" Jackson asked in an angry whisper, Caroline shuddering some as she remembers the sensation from entering the hunter's last moments, glancing over at Stiles when he spoke.

"Wait, why would Derek test you, why would he think that it's you?" Scott asked quickly, Caroline biting her lip, looking between the two, not realizing that Scott was unaware that Derek had tried to turn Jackson.

"Wait do they think it's Lydia?!"

"It's not Lydia, Lydia's perfectly fine," Caroline said quickly as she glances over at her friend, knowing that 'perfectly fine' wasn't exactly the way to explain her because while her and Lydia didn't see as much of each other as they used to, they still spoke, and she still knew that sometimes Lydia had nightmares about Peter.

"I dunno, all I heard was her name, something about chemistry, and them not wanting you," Jackson looks to Caroline her eyebrows raising, "To find out."

"JACKSON," Caroline jumped in her seat turning around to face the coach, "Do you have something you want to share with the rest of the class?" He asks, Caroline glancing over at Jackson, watching as he thought carefully about what to say.

"Uhm, just an undying admiration for m-my coach," Jackson stutters, Caroline rolling her eyes as a few people laughed, Coach nodding his head slowly.

"That's really kind of you… now SHUT UP. Shut it." He shouts, Caroline biting her lips to keep from laughing as the coach looks around, asking for anyone else, before walking away. Caroline makes a face when her brother pulls Stiles by his hoodie towards him, asking how they knew it wasn't Lydia.

"Because I looked into the eyes of that thing okay, and what I saw was pure evil, and when I look into Lydia's eyes I only see 50% evil." Caroline glares, rolling her eyes at them as Stiles continued to raise the percentage of Lydia's evilness.

"It's not her," Caroline whispers quickly leaning forward as Scott turns to her, "Scott she's my best friend, I would know if something was going on with her… she wouldn't be keeping something like that from me.. And she wouldn't be killing people either," She said shrugging, "She hates blood."

Caroline glanced up at Lydia in the front of the class, her mouth opening a little when she noticed her best friend writing the same thing on the bored over and over and over again, Coach walking over to her slowly, calling out her name.

Caroline stands up, ignoring Scott and Stiles calling to her as she walked towards the front of the class when Lydia finally snaps out of it, whimpering some as she looked around the room, tears falling from her eyes, "Okay then, anyone else want to try answering?" He asks turning around and Caroline quickly went to her side, prying the chalk from Lydia's hand looking at her best friend worriedly as she quickly shook her head, "This time in English." Caroline glared over at the coach when the class started laughing, feeling Lydia tense up in her hold before pulling away.

"I'm fine," Caroline shook her head, knowing perfectly well that Lydia was lying, "I'm fine okay, don't make a scene." She mumbles, Caroline sending her a look as she moved back to her seat.

"Ah, Caroline, since you're already up here why don't you give it a shot," He said gesturing towards the bored and Caroline glares at him, watching as the coach held his hands up, "Or not."

Caroline turns back towards the bored, staring at the words that were written over and over again, trying to decipher them before tilting her head to the side when she realized they weren't in a different language but backwards, "Someone help me." She mutters to herself watching as Coach begin the erase the letters quickly, and Caroline walked over to the board, placing her hand against it.

Caroline wasn't expecting for her plan to work, to be able to see into Lydia's mind. What her best friend experienced just now to send her in that shock, but she did, and seeing Peter again, storming towards her, towards Lydia in the back of the room sent her mind into a frenzy, the fear welling up in her heart and filling her eyes as she felt what her best friend felt for the first time. Caroline pulled back from the board, her fingers curling into her palm as her hand shook violently, her head spinning and aching. "The answer?" Coach asked, Caroline looking at him for a moment before quickly scribbling in shaky scripture what it was on the board, the coach praising her with a slow clap of his hands.

"It seems that Caroline absorbed most of your brain in the womb McCall," Coach joked as Caroline moved back to her seat, Lydia's eyes on her curiously.

"What was that?" Stiles whispered, turning around in his seat as Caroline sat down, placing her trembling hands on her desk, trying to steady them, "Caroline what did you just do?"

Caroline shakes her head for a moment, closing her eyes as she tries to pull herself together, but she realizes she can't, because it's not her who's having a mental break down, it's Lydia. Somehow she was connected to Lydia, and she could feel what her best friend was feeling right at that moment. She was terrified, mortified, and confused. She didn't know who the man haunting her mind was, she didn't know why she kept blacking out, why she kept acting like a lunatic… she was terrified she was losing her mind.

"She's not okay," Caroline murmurs as Stiles reaches for her hands, holding them tightly in his own.

"Caroline you're shaking," He mumbles quickly Scott looking at his sister with a worried expression as she shook her head again, "Caroline did you do it? The thing?"

"The thing? What's the thing?" Jackson whispered quickly Scott shushing him as Caroline began to mumble to herself, to them.

"She's not okay, not at all, but it's not her… I know, I can feel it, it's not her, she's not the Kanima." She says looking up her eyes gluing onto her brothers, "It is not her Scott."

-:-

"Derek answer the phone, answer your god damn phone right now," Caroline snapped, leaving her tenth message on Derek's voicemail, "I know what you're planning, and I know that you think Lydia's the Kanima." She said storming back and forth in front of the table Scott and Stiles sat at, "I swear to god if you lay a finger on her I'll kill you, I don't know how, but I will. You stay away from my best friend." She shouted the last bit into the phone as loud as she could before hanging up, turning to Scott and Stiles.

"At least we know that it's not her," Scott throws in trying to calm his twin, Stiles nodding in agreement as Caroline chewed on the inside of her cheek, her lips pressed together, scowling still.

"I need to find Isaac," She said matter-of-factly throwing her arms out as she turned around, trying to use her connection to the pack to trace where he could be, but she couldn't get a hold on him, "I need to talk to him, he won't do anything if I talk to him."

"Caroline how can you be so sure?" Stiles sighs, Caroline turning back to look at him, "Before you were connected to him he hated your guts… Erica still does for some reason. Maybe him playing nice was just that. Playing. Manipulating, a way to get you to trust the pack more, to trust Derek." Stiles stands, Scott nodding slowly in agreement as Caroline rolls her eyes.

"No… I know that makes sense, and that's probably the logical answer, but Isaac… He, I know he genuinely trusts me okay… he would never do something like that… He's not a killer."

Scott stands now as the bell rings, "We don't know if they're going to go that far Care... And since she's not the Kanima when they," He makes a face, sighing some as Caroline does, "test her she's just going to be paralyzed for a little while and that's it." Scott shrugs his shoulders, Caroling tensing up at the thought.

"No, no they can't do that to her either. Lydia doesn't even need to be tested, because I know for a fact that she's not the Kanima, and I'm their fucking… Soothsayer so they should trust my judgment!" She shouts angrily, Stiles quickly wrapping his arms around her waist when people stared at her.

"Nice choice of words baby," He mumbles as she rolls her eyes at him but leans against his chest, hands finding his on her waist as he kisses her cheek. Scott made a face at their PDA, finding it weird and at the same time glad they had each other finally, but he was confused by her choice of words, "Means Seer, uh, fortune teller, in her case, Faidh."

Scott nods, "Right." He muttered, Caroline smiling at him weakly before the three head towards the school.

"Can you not feel them then?" Scott asked, Caroline shrugging as Stiles gripped her hand in his, "I mean, if you're connected to them, can't you always like, feel them?"

"He's doing something to block me, to keep me from his thoughts… it's like… like he's forcing himself not to feel anything." She grumbled, "I knew he was lying to me this morning." Stiles nodding.

"Or maybe it's because he's heartless and doesn't feel anything to begin with?" He said, Caroline rolling her eyes and dropping his hand once they reached the classroom.

"It's impossible not to feel anything Stiles, trust me I know." Stiles raised an eyebrow, glancing at Scott who shrugged his shoulders. They all turned into the room, Caroline looking around spotting Lydia, and turning back to her brother who gestured forward. She turned her head, eyes narrowing when she spotted Erica and Isaac, both with smug looks on their faces and she went straight to Lydia, not giving them a chance to get to her.

"Are you okay," Caroline asks quickly, her hand going over top of her best friend's hand, physically wincing when she was bombarded with a rush of emotions, and Lydia quickly pulled her hand away sending Caroline a strange look, and an even stranger look to Stiles as he pulled a stool up right next to her.

"Of course, I'm perfect, as always." She chirps, folding her hands in her lap, Caroline shaking her head, glancing back at Isaac who adverted his gaze from her, Erica waving at her with a smirk on her lips.

"Einstein once said, two things are infinite. The universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the universe. But I myself have encountered infinite stupidity," Caroline glanced over at Mr. Harris as he pats Stiles's shoulder, seeing Lydia smiling smugly up at the teacher as Stiles stared blankly ahead, "So, to combat the plague of ignorance in my class, you're going to combined efforts through a round of group experiments." Caroline frowns, leaning a bit closer to Lydia, feeling Erica and Isaac's eyes on their table. "Let's see if two heads are indeed better than one, or in Mr. Stilinksi's case, less than one."

Caroline rolls her eyes at him, and rolls her eyes even more when Mr. Harris assigned Erica to the first station, all the boys in the classroom shooting their hands up even though Mr. Harris didn't ask for volunteers.

Caroline stood when Mr. Harris assigned her to Isaac's station, grabbing her things and giving Lydia a worried glance before moving towards him, tossing her things onto the floor, "You lied to me." She mutters, head shaking, "What the hell are you guys playing at?" She asked in a falsely calm voice, sitting down and went straight to work on helping him with the lab, seeing him shrug from the corner of her eye.

"I have no idea what you're talking about," Caroline can't help when she spills some of the chemicals on the table because of her shaky hands, and she drops the glass ware, turning in her seat to face Isaac.

"Don't play stupid," She whispers leaning towards him some as he raises an eyebrow, "I know that Derek wants you to test Lydia, to see if she's the Kanima," Caroline watches as his jaw clenches some, his head turning away, "Isaac I swear to god, Lydia is not the Kanima. She's not anything. She's just immune." She mutters, going back to helping him, her head shaking.

"If she isn't the Kanima then we don't have to worry about anything Caroline," Isaac says Caroline giving him another glare.

"Because she has enough problems as is, she doesn't need you two to add 'going into catatonic shock in the middle of chem the other day' to it!" She snapped, sliding the beaker to him as he rolls his eyes.

"What's it matter to you anyways?" Isaac grumbles, head shaking as he moved the beaker, his eyes on hers as she pursed her lips, "It's not like she's been the best friend any girl could ask for to you."

"Lydia has been my best friend since we were eight jackass, she's family," She said glancing up at towards the front of the class when Mr. Harris pressed the bell, "If you touch her Isaac, I swear to god, I will make you pay." She spat out, grabbing her stuff as he glared at her.

Caroline moved to the next station, trying to calm herself down some as she started to organize the mess the pair before her had made, skin crawling when she heard Erica's voice.

"Someone seems peeved," Erica said lightly as she sat down next to her. Caroline didn't even bother to look at her, the two both starting to work on their parts of the experiment, "What? Stiles say something you didn't like?"

"Erica," Caroline starts her head shaking, "I don't know, and I don't care what your problem is with me. But if you go anywhere near Lydia, I will personally kick your ass, do you understand me?" She asked with a bitter smile when Mr. Harris glanced over at them, and Erica smiled right back head nodding.

"I'd like to see you try," Caroline winced when she felt Erica's hand on her back, claws digging into her skin, "You're scared of him huh? The Alpha, the one before Derek, the one that marked you all up," Caroline glared as Erica smirked, "What else was it he did? Made you lose your mind? That's right, there's a video of it. Of you screaming in the middle of the class, practically pissing yourself because of a silly little nightmare." Caroline stood up quickly, knocked over her stool as she did and Erica stood with her, both girls pressed close to each other as the class grew quiet, staring at them in anticipation.

"Awh," Erica laughs head tilting as Caroline glared, "Did I strike a nerve princess? You gonna cry?"

"Caroline McCall do not ruin the few last months of peace I have had from your violence," Mr. Harris says angrily as he storms towards the girls, "Next stations everyone, now." He grips Caroline's arm pulling her back as Erica smirks, "Ms. McCall, now, before I send you to the office."

Caroline jerks from his hold tearing her eyes for Erica as she grabs her bag, Mr. Harris ushering her to the front of the class, "Sit here and do the rest of the experiment by yourself." He said Caroline sitting down, "I'm deducting ten points from this assignment for your behavior." He says, Caroline glaring up at him as he snatches her paper away and quickly scribbles it down before leaving her to her own.

"Hey," Caroline barely hears Stiles' voice, her head ached and she was trying to calm herself down, "Caroline are you okay?" Stiles spoke again, and she opens her eyes, hands finding the beaker as she tried to work on the experiment, trembling still, "Look, whatever just happened, don't think about it okay? Just relax." He tried, glancing at Scott as he took working on the experiment over, his eyes on his sister though and not paying attention to what he was doing.

"Why isn't she talking?" Scott asked, Stiles shaking his head as he looked over at Mr. Harris, who was distracted and he quickly stood, moving to sit in the stool beside her.

"Caroline," He placed his hand on her shoulder, jumping some when she dropped the beaker she was holding, frowning as it shattered against the table.

"Fuck," Caroline cursed, pulling her hands back, and Stiles studied her face closely, seeing the tears building up in her eyes, "I can't do this." She muttered head shaking slowly as he slides his hand onto her back, "Everything at once… it's to much, it's to much I didn't sign up for this, I didn't want to have all this happening."

Stiles bit his lip, nodding slowly but not speaking because he really didn't know what to say to her, she chose this, and she allowed it to happen, "Let's just clean this up okay." He muttered, Caroline nodding as she tried to calm herself, and tried to pull her mind from the swirling emotions of her pack members, of Lydia, Scott, Stiles even.

"It's not just them Stiles," She whispers and he glances over at her, "It's more now… I'm not just connected to the pack, I'm connected to everyone."

"Time," Mr. Harris spoke as he walked over to Caroline, head shaking as Stiles tried to speak to her with Harris right there. The teacher shakes his head, sighing down at the broken beaker on the table that Stiles was hurriedly cleaning up, "If you catalyzed the reaction correctly, you should now be looking at a crystal," Caroline glanced up at him as he shook his head at her, before looking around the class room, "Now, for a part of that last experiment I'm sure you'll all enjoy, you can eat it."

Caroline froze up, glancing over at Isaac as he held the crystal out to Lydia, smirking at her and Caroline swallows down the shout she had for him, "LYDIA."

Caroline looks to her brother when he stood and knocked his stool back, him seeming to have shared her need to shout, and took it upon himself to do it instead.

"What?" Lydia sighs, Caroline frowning when the poison didn't paralyze her. She was immune, that was it, she knew Lydia wasn't the Kanima, but she knew that Erica and Isaac weren't going to take that… no, they were going to go back to Derek with the news, and they were going to kill her, she could feel it.

The bell to the end of the class rings suddenly, everyone quickly packing their things. "I'm going with Lydia," Caroline said quickly to Scott and Stiles as Allison walks over, "To make sure that Isaac and Erica don't try anything… Lydia, no matter what just happened, still isn't the Kanima," She said and the three all nod, "We need to plan something… text me if anything happens." Caroline asks, turning to leave.

"Care," Stiles grips her hand tugging her back and forcing her to stop, "We need to figure out how to stop this," He whispers Caroline tilting her head, "Your powers, whatever they are, whatever causes them… you can't keep… keep having your mind infiltrated like that… it's not safe, you know what the book said."

Caroline frowns, "Stiles,"

"You said so yourself just now that it was too much. Imagine how much worse it can get Caroline, if you're able to sense more than just the pack, without meaning to? It could drive you crazy."

"I know okay," She sighs, head shaking, "I want it to stop too… but for now, I need to find Lydia, I need to make sure she's safe, and then we can talk to Deaton, okay?" She asks, Stiles nodding slowly, "Okay, now let me go."

Stiles watched as she quickly ran out the door, Scott coming up behind him, "Is she okay?" He asked, Stiles shrugging a bit as the two left the room.

"Honesty Scott, I don't know if you spoke to Caroline about what she is," Stiles looks to Scott, who shakes his head.

"I haven't… Care and I haven't really had a chance to talk at all lately, why? Is she in danger?"

"She just told me that her connection, the thing that allows her to feel what Derek feels, is stronger than just the pack… its allowing her to… to feel anyone's emotions, and the book said that people like her are called the 'Tormented'."

"The Tormented?"

"Yeah, as in the fact she can apparently feel what others feel, see their last moments, their memories, can eventually cause her to lose her mind if she isn't careful. She doesn't know how to control it yet, and I don't think there's anyone to teach her how."

Scott frowns, nodding slowly, "We'll figure it out… I'm sure Deaton knows something."

Stiles sighed, "You know, you and her think way to much alike, and it's irritating."

-:-

"Hey, wait up." Caroline said pushing past a few other teenagers to get beside Lydia, smiling at her friend, "I'll walk you to the office."

Lydia glanced over at her, an eyebrow raised, "Okay." She said slowly, Caroline smiling at her as they walked down the hall.

Caroline knows Lydia can tell she's tense, her friends eyes shifting to her every now and again as Caroline looks all around the halls, hands worrying together, "I'm getting this weird vibe that you want to talk about something." Lydia said and Caroline laughed nervously shaking her head.

"No, no, no, I have a free period, I just miss you." She said quickly, wrapping her arm around Lydia's, "I miss my best friend, you need to spend the night, tonight actually, yeah, spend the night tonight.

"Tonight's a school night Care," Lydia said looking over at her as they stopped outside the office, "Caroline, you okay? Please tell me you're not losing it again."

Caroline gave a playful glare, shaking her head, "No… I uh, really, I just miss you… Since you got out of the hospital and since Stilinksi and I started dating I never see you anymore." She said sadly, Lydia smiling back.

"We'll do something this weekend," She said rubbing her best friend's arm as she shrugged, "Now, I must go and talk to this quack about my feelings, can't lose my baby yet." She said jingling her keys and Caroline laughed softly, watching as she heads into the office.

Caroline sighed, turning on her heel and headed down the hall to go to the library, stopping when her phone started to go off in her purse, and she quickly fished it out.

"Hel-,"

"Go find Erica and Isaac, go stall them, right now." Scott shouted quickly, Caroline nodding once before her brother hung up and she threw her phone back into her purse. She glanced around, trying to think of where they might be, trying to get a hold on them before darting down the science hall.

Caroline turned into the hallway, out of breath from running around after Scott's call to stop Isaac and Erica. Isaac wasn't thinking rationally, he only want to appease Derek. Some sick and twisted bond he had to make his Alpha happy that he was sure that all loyal betas had. He was going to kill her best friend. She wasn't going to let that happened. Caroline stopped when she spotted them, the two walking down the hall, Isaac dragging his claws against the lockers sparks flying from his fingertips as he left scratches in their wake, and she glares.

"Isaac!" Caroline snapped, walking towards them as Erica laughs, her eyes rolling.

"Look, it's one of the powerpuff girls," Erica said her head tilting, "So buttercup, what's on your mind?" Erica asked. Caroline didn't bother to answer her when she approached them, eyes on Erica as she pulled her fist back and punched her as hard as she could in the mouth, the wolf stumbling back some, her eyes yellow, and her hand going to her busted lip.

Caroline smirked as she looked to Isaac when Erica straightened her back. "I'm going to kill you," She growled out, claws coming out as she lunged towards Caroline, Isaac stopping her before she could doing anything, and Caroline nods her head.

"You see this, Erica? This is how pack's supposed to be, keeping us safe, even from each other." She said pointing to Isaac as he continued to hold Erica back, glaring at Caroline.

"Now Isaac, if you're going to hold the bitch from killing me, then you have to talk to me."

"Or he could just let me kill you." Erica bit out, Isaac's grip on her tightening, and she glared at him.

"You're not going to hurt her," Caroline said stepping closer to Erica's reach, Isaac holding her further back, "Isaac, she is my best friend." She said her eyes glued to his face as he stared at her with an expressionless gaze, "If you hurt her I'll never forgive you. And you'll be monster," She said, her eyes narrowing, "Just like your dad."

She knew it was low, but, being mean was probably the only way to get to him, if it would even get to him, Caroline watched as he slowly let go of Erica, who moved towards her, and Caroline stood her ground smirking.

"You kill me Derek kills you," She said quickly, Erica stopping mid step, "Ah, who's scared of the Alpha now?" She asked smirking, her head tilting to the side, "Bitch."

Being crammed in the Jeep with Lydia, Jackson, Allison and Stiles wasn't the way the Caroline planned her afternoon. But keeping her best friend safe was the only thing she was concerned about, and even if they were lying to her about it all, which was killing her to do, she knew it had to be done.

"Caroline if were studying here why didn't you just tell me," Lydia sighs Caroline making a face as she walked up the stairs, ushering Lydia after her, "And where's Scott? He's the one that needs to be in this study group more than the rest of us."

"He's meeting us here," Stiles said with a quick nod, Lydia sending him a look, "Meeting us here, I think, I hope."

"Yeah, he's probably gotta stop off at work, you know tell Deaton that he's gotta shift his schedule around, so he can uh study." She said smiling back at Lydia as she unlocked the door, and threw it open, all five of them filling up her foyer. Jackson stood towards the back, first time being in Caroline and Scott's house, and was studying the various images on the walls and table of the twins, and even Stiles with a roll of his eyes.

Caroline set her purse down on the stairs, grimacing when Stiles quickly locked, and chained her front door shut, gazing out the window, Lydia's head tilting, "Ah, been a few break-ins around the neighborhood." He explained, Caroline rolling her eyes, and lets out a sigh when Stiles grabs a chair and props it up underneath the door handle, "And a murder." Caroline shrugs her shoulders when Lydia glances over at her, before looking back at Stiles incredulously, "Yeah it was bad."

"Lydia follow me," Caroline turns to Jackson eyebrow raised curiously, "I need to talk to you for a minute."

Lydia sighs, glancing over at Caroline as she gave her friend a wary look before rolling her eyes and trots after Jackson.

Caroline shakes her head walking over to the window and pushes passed Stiles, gazing out at the street, looking for any signs of the pack, "If they come I'm going to talk to them." She says as she pulls back, looking from Allison to Stiles, Stiles quickly shaking his head.

"Uh, no you're not. That doesn't sound safe at all," Stiles blurted, Caroline rolling her eyes as Allison looks at him.

"I don't think Derek's going to do anything to hurt her Stiles," Allison defends, Caroline nodding with her.

"Erica backed down as soon as I brought him up, obviously Derek, despite what he's doing now needs me still. But he's not getting me, not anymore. Not if he tries to go through with this."

"Or they could all be plotting to kill you and Lydia at once. Both of you have weird connections to the… supernatural, Lydia is immune and you're," Stiles gestures towards her shrugging, "You."

Caroline gives him a look, Stiles sighing, "I'm doing it okay, i-," Caroline shut her mouth when her phone started ringing, and she walked over to her bag, and quickly pulled it out, answering when she saw it was Derek.

"What the hell is going on Derek?" She asks angrily into the phone, walking into the living room, Stiles and Allison trailing behind her quickly.

"Caroline you and your friends need to hand Lydia over, right now." Caroline gave a laugh at his demand, her head shaking.

"No way in hell Derek," She grumbles walking over to the window and glances out it, "No what's going to happen is you're going to give us some time to prove that my best friend is not the Kanima,"

"And how are you going to prove that? Because I have already proven that she is, she's immune to the poison Caroline, she is the Kanima, there is no way around it. She has to die."

Caroline shakes her head, "If she dies Derek, so do you, I'll tell the hunters everything, where you're hiding, and about all the betas." She snaps, the other side going quiet for a moment and she looks over at Stiles and Allison.

"Then we'll have to kill you too," Caroline grimaces when the phone went dead, Stiles looking at her, eyebrows raised.

"Did I hear that right?" He asks Caroline shaking her head as he nods, "Yeah, no I'm pretty sure that was a life threat to you Caroline, you sure do have a caring Alpha there."

Caroline glares at him, "He's bluffing." She says, Stiles groaning now rolling his eyes.

"Jesus, Caroline, just stop! You're not going to win the argument this time. Derek is not a good guy, he is going to come in here, he is going to try to kill Lydia, and kill you, and all of us. He's going to kill anyone and anything that gets in his way!" Stiles shouts, Allison shushing him quickly.

"We just need to find a way to prove it's not her, I need… I need to find a way to see, to see who the Kanima actually is."

"Well you need to do it fast," Allison said, and Caroline looks over at her staring at the window, her and Stiles rushing to her side to look, seeing Derek standing across the road with Isaac, Erica and Boyd.

"Call Scott," Caroline says quickly pulling away, "Call Scott and tell him to get here now."

Caroline wasn't sure what she could do, how she could prove to Derek in the matter of minutes that her best friend wasn't the Kanima. She sighs, head shaking as she hurried into her room, hearing shouting coming from Scott's room and knowing by the ache in her heart that Lydia was fighting with Jackson. Like her best friend didn't have enough to worry about. Caroline turns to her table, hands finding one of the older books Gerald had given to her, "There has to be something." She mutters, running her fingers along the gold tree encrusted on the front of the leather book. She flips it open, eyes scanning the pages quickly, finding that it was a diary.

Thanks to the girl father brought into the fold we were able to subdue the beast. I was skeptical at first, to believe that this girl could be our goal to finally catching the monster after months of searching. But she was able to, all she had to do was visit the sight of the last massacre, and she was able to form a sort of… tether to the beast.

"That's it," Caroline mutters dropping the book on the table as she hurries over to the window, panicking when she saw that Isaac was no longer by Derek, "Shit, shit." There was no time, she didn't have time to go to Amor Tire, the last place the Kanima was.

Caroline stops, eyes closing telling to herself to remember, remember exactly what the Kanima looked like, exactly how its slitted eyes mirrored the hunter's expression as he ripped him to shreds. That was all she had to go off of, just a memory, a glimpse of the beast.

Caroline stares down at the sink, body stiff as she watched the blood slowly run its way down the drain, washing away all remaining evidence of what she had done. It was all for him. She'd do anything for him. Anything to make sure the people that hurt him paid, it didn't matter who they were anymore, he wanted them dead, and if he wanted them dead, she would kill them.

She turns the sink off, eyes closing as she raises her head, gripping the sides of the counter, fingers digging into the wood.

She shakes her head, "No you don't." She whispers, reaching towards her face, the only girl that had ever mattered to her, and seeing her crying like this, hearing her say she hated her hurt her more than she expected.

"I should," She whispers, more tears falling, "I should hate you." Caroline frowns. wiping her tears away, hating seeing Lydia cry.

"It's Jackson," Caroline gasps as she sits up, her hand going to her heart, looking around with wide eyes. She swallows thickly as she moves to her feet, no longer in her room, but it some sort of cellar… "What the hell?"

Tree roots hung over her head, cobwebs wrapping around them, dust scattered across the few wooded structures that seemed to be holding the place up. She had no idea where she was, how she got there, she'd never seen a place like this before.

"Creepy isn't it?" Caroline turns quickly at the sudden voice, eyes narrowing to see the figure through the shadows, only able to see his gleaming teeth.

"Who're you, and where the hell am I?!" She shouts, taking a few steps back as he moves forward, smiling still.

"You know, I've really missed that fire of yours," He laughs, Caroline finally able to see his face, and feeling even more confused when he spoke like he knew her, "You're looking beautiful as ever Caroline, even if you are currently disposed of."

"Disposed of?" She asks, and he laughs head shaking as he taps his upper lip, Caroline moving her hand to her own, pulling it back and seeing blood staining her fingers, "Who the hell are you?!" She demands again as she wipes the blood from her lip, swallowing down her nerves as she stands her ground when he moves closer to her, lips forming a sort of familiar smirk.

"Ah, must have forgot that you don't know me when I look like this," He said, gesturing to his figure, Caroline's eyes widening as he started to change in front of her, his skin charring, and faking away, hair falling from his scalp, "How about now?"

Caroline shakes her head trying to move away from him when he grips her wrist, "Ah, ah, ah Caroline, don't be like that, haven't you missed me?" He laughs, voice echoing in the cellar, as she shakes her head, squeezing her eyes shut.

"You're not real, you're dead, and this is a dream. Get out of my dream!" She cries, and Peter's laugh rings out, coaxing her eyes open when he ran his hand along her cheek, seeing he was no longer the desiccated corpse she'd last seen him as.

"Caroline darling," Peter sighs gripping her face in his hand as she lets out a small whimper, "I'm as real as you are, I'm just… stuck." He pouts, Caroline letting out a shaky breath, "But in good time, you and I will meet again, just you wait." He smiled, letting go of her, "But you've got to keep this little secret to yourself," He says, Caroline slipping down the wall, "Of course, you'll probably forget it anyways, because you're not looking to hot right now."

Caroline narrowed her eyes, "What do you mean?" She whispers, and he shrugs.

"Oh, you'll feel it in a second."

Caroline gives him another confused look, before she gasps, her hands going to her head and body folding into self as Peter sighed, walking over to her as she wailed.

"You really should be more careful with your powers Caroline," He mutters, brushing her hair from her face as her body convulsed, "They can kill you."

"Caroline, oh my god, Caroline!" Lydia sobs, Caroline's eyes shut, blood trickling from her nose and ears, "Caroline wake up, wake up please Caroline." She cries, "SCOTT! SCOTT!" She screams, shaking Caroline's limp body as Scott ran in, eyes going wide as he saw his sister on the ground.

"Caroline?!"Scott shouts as he runs in, dropping down to the ground beside her, "Caroline, Caroline wake up." He cries out, his hands going to her face as Lydia turns away, "Linny please, please wake up."

"Care?!"Stiles shouts when he spots her laying in the ground, blood tried along her cheeks, and lip, "What the hell happened?!" He shouts as he drops down by Scott.

"She wouldn't answer me, she just, she was standing, and then she fell, and she was bleeding." Lydia cries Allison moving to her side.

"Should we call an ambulance?"

"Caroline wake up,"

"What the hell is happening around here?!"

Stiles sighs, head shaking as he pushed her hair from her face, "Caroline wake up," He murmured, glancing back at Allison when the door bell rung, "That's my dad, get him to get an ambulance here as quick as he can." He said, Allison nodding quickly as she gripped Lydia's hand.

"Come on Lydia, come with me." Allison asks, Lydia sniffling as she looks down at Caroline before Allison pulled her out of the room.

"Scott this has to do with her connection to the pack," Stiles sighs head shaking, "I know it." Scott frowns reaching to Caroline, gripping her hand tightly in his, eyes squeezing shut when the veins in his hands blackened, "What the hell is that?"

"She's in pain," Scott grits out, "She's in a lot of pain."

Stiles bites his lips, heading nodding slowly as he runs his hand along her forehead and into her hair, "Caroline wake up," He whispers, glancing back at Scott as the veins in his arm turned black, "Caroline wake up please." He begs, voice cracking, "Care, Ca-,"

"Jackson!" Scott and Stiles jump when she shoots up, Caroline's eyes wide and tears falling from them, "Oh shit, oh Jesus my head, oh my god Stiles." Caroline cried out, bringing her knees up to her chest as he moved back to her, his hand going to her back.

"Caroline what is it?! What happened?"

Caroline sighs, head shaking, "Where's Jackson? Guys, it's him, Jackson he's the," Caroline let out another small gasp, her hand going to her nose as more blood started trickling from it.

"Caroline we have to get you to the hospital," Scott said as he gripped her arm, Stiles grabbing the other, "We need to get you to the hospital, your nose is bleeding."

"Your ears too, Care what the hell did you do?" Stiles demanded as they picked her up, and she cries out, her head pounding.

"I… I connected with the Kanima… with Jackson." Caroline squeezes Stiles hand, "He's the Kanima, he-,"

"Boys, Caroline, what is going on?!" Caroline let out a tiny sob, the sheriff frowning, "Get her down stairs, there's an ambulance outside already, Scott you stay, I need to talk to you." Scott nods, looking at Caroline as Stiles wraps his arm around her waist.

"I'll be out there in a minute Caroline," Scott said, Caroline nodding once as Stiles looks to his dad, before heading down the stairs.

"Look we know Jackson's the Kanima," He whispers, Caroline looking up at him, "The Kanima was on the roof, and everyone was outside other than you, so it had to have been Jackson."

"It was Jackson, I was in his head… I felt… I know what he did okay."

"Caroline stop worrying about it right now okay? You're hurt really bad, and Lydia's safe, so you don't need to worry anymore. "Stiles whispers into her ear once they're down stairs, Caroline shaking her head.

"No, there was something else." She letting out another small cry once they reached the porch, two paramedics walking over to, "There was something else Stiles, something worse, and I can't… I can't remember."

Stiles shakes his head, letting go of her as the medics took her, "It's going to be okay Caroline…"He says, frowning as he watched them walk her to the ambulance, "It's going to be okay."
