"My head hurts...!" Chise groaned. Light streamed through the thin curtain. A cool breeze caressed her skin causing goose bumps to appear even when she couldn't feel the coolness in the room. She pulled the blanket over head. "Damn what happened last night? I can't remember."

"You finally wake up Kirishima. I was beginning to think you have already died." Izumo's deadpanned voice reached her covered ears.

"Not yet, not yet, but almost. What time is it Izumo?" She replied from the inside of her protective cocoon. She felt her throat dry as a bone.

Izumo took a look at the clock hanging on the wall. "Nine thirty."

"It's still early." The brunette snuggled further into the futon.

"Hey don't fall asleep again!" Izumo rebuked, pulling the covers away of her body.

Chise curled into a ball hugging her legs and hiding her face into the pillow. Izumo took a minute to contemplate the ridiculous look she gave with her long hair laying in all possible directions. The purple haired teen shook Chise violently until she got into a sitting position glaring daggers at her face.

"Why are you here anyway?" Chise yawned standing up and stretching out her limbs.

"Shura-sensei sent me to wake you up. She wants to see you."

"Me? Why? What for? I don't want to. Damnit my head is pounding." Chise blurted out before burying her face into her hands.

Izumo noticed the dark circles under Chise's violet eyes, cracked lips and the slight blush over her cheeks and nose. "Hey are you feeling fine?" She touched her forehead with her hand brushing her bangs away. "You don't have a fever, but you're pretty pale."

"Worried?" Chise cocked a brow, smiling mischievous.

Izumo jerked her hand away and replied annoyed. "Of course not!"

Chise chuckled, scratching the back of her neck. "...I'm good, thank you." She walked to where her bag was, dragging her feet across the floor.

"Her movements are clumsier than normal."

"Is something the matter?" The brunette asked dully from the other side of the room. She was kneeling while rummaged the contents of her bag.

"You're not sick, are you?"

Chise contemplated the small, white pills she had taken out from the plastic bottle. She popped them inside her mouth and swallowed with ease before replying nonchalant. "I don't think so. I'm hungry, let's go get breakfast."

"Actually I've already had breakfast."

"Really? Well then, see ya later." Chise walked leisurely towards the door.

"Aren't you gonna get changed?" Izumo said offhandedly.

Chise looked at her attire. A pair of baggy, forest green, thigh-length shorts, a white and baby blue stripped T-shirt and her navy blue leather belt wrapped on her left thigh. "No, this will do." Chise stopped in her tracks pondering if she could utter the next words. "Izumo, are we friends?" At receiving no answer she added and left. "Sorry, don't mind me. Have a nice day."

"Are we friends? Did she see me as a friend? Do I see her as a friend?" Izumo was perplexed. "Perhaps we are."

The walk from the dorms to the dining hall wasn't long, but Chise felt that it was like walking a never-ending hallway.

"Ahh water, I need some water and food and a shower and...Well I need a lot of things, but those three will do for now." The sensations were slowly coming back to her so when she passed by an open window she felt how cool the temperature was. Chise hugged herself and walked faster. When she turned the corner she almost collided into someone.

"Finally found ya." Shura's voice said. The woman was standing before her with a cat-like grin plastered over her face that Chise found quite annoying. "Whoa ya look like crap, dolly! What happened yesterday?"

The loud volume of her voice made Chise shrink uncomfortably. "That's what I want to know. So, do you need me?"

"Yeah, today I'm gonna teach ya a thing or two about that katana of yours."

"Fine, but right now? I'm starving."

"Go grab a bite then. Also that lazy bastard is missing too." Shura added crossing her arms over her large breast.

"Who?" Chise scratched her head lazily.

"Rin."

The mention if his name shook off some of the grogginess she felt. There were thing she couldn't remember from last night but one of the few things she did remember was her embarrassing moment with him. Seriously what had gotten into her to act like that? "Are we going to train together?" The brunette asked queasy.

"That's the plan." Shura replied matter-of-fact.

"I'll pass." Chise blew a raspberry.

"Ohh! Problems in paradise?" Shura sent her a taunting look.

"Shut up, will you?" Chise muttered annoyed. Her answer wasn't the one Shura was waiting for and took her by surprise. The redhead frowned. "Sorry..." Was Chise quick answer before the older girl would took some retaliation towards her. "I need some alone time."

Shura relax a bit. "That'll be pretty bothersome for me, 'cause I'm in charge of both of ya."

"I don't need supervision like Rin. Teach me first and I'll train by myself." Chise suggested.

The insistence of the girl made Shura think to do an exception just this time. What is the worst thing that could happen? Was what she thought.

"Follow me." The redhead took her by the wrist and made her way through some hallways until she found a door. She opened it and made her way inside with Chise tailing awkwardly. "Sit." She ordered after letting go of her. "Take it out."

Chise did as she was told. Before she sat she took out her katana from the seal in her left hand. It had been a time since she took out her katana. It felt kinda nostalgic the roughness of the hilt.

"Tsukuyomi Demon Sword or Nightmare Eater Sword. That's how people call yer katana, but do ya know its real name?" Shura asked her snapping her from her reverie.

"Tsukuyomi Demon Slayer Sword." Chise replied serious.

"Correct. This katana, like its twin Amaterasu, possess three different stages. Until now ya only used the first and second stage." Chise nodded. "What abilities do those stages have?"

"The first, Full Moon, creates illusions. The ones who saw the light that emanates from the blade or had come into contact with it are affected directly. I can make them see and feel what I want." Chise sighed running her finger over the blade. "With the second one, New moon, I affect my gravity."

"What about the third one? Ya know why ya couldn't use that stage till recently?" Chise shook her head in negation. "Blood." The redhead said, all the playfulness in her had vanished.

"Blood?" The brunette quirked an eyebrow skeptical. The concept of blood related rituals was far too similar to a science fiction movie for her taste.

Shura gave her a warning look. "Yes, when ya smeared yer blood over the blade ya fulfilled the contract with the katana."

"What contract are you talking about?" Chise asked confused. Nobody had told her anything about a contract. When she fought against Mika she had heard the voice inside her head saying something about blood, but did that voice was real? Didn't it belong to her imagination solely? If that was the case...what was happening to her? Moreover, what was she?

Chise's troubled expression made Shura think that she needed to clarify some aspects, but right now she didn't have the time. "It's a pain to have to explain so I won't do it. Listen now, the third stage is called Eclipse and it is a combination of the previous stages with an addition." She took the katana from the younger girl's hands. "Yer able to control yer gravity at will, create illusions and ya win something like a freezing bonus."

"In other words, Eclipse is the most powerful stage Tsukuyomi has." Chise retrieved her sword, gazing the pristine silver blade that reflected her twilight colored eyes.

"Yes and no. When ya made the contract ya gave Tsukuyomi a VIP pass to yer body resources. Every time ya summon the third stage it will drain yer energy and depending on the amount of energy ya posses at the moment it's the duration of the ability." Shura explained. "Right now, yer energy level is this." She drew a forty centimeters imaginary line before her.

"What happens if I exceed my limit and continue using the sword?"

"Isn't it obvious moron? You'll die." Chise's eyes shot open in panic. "That's why ya need to expand yer energy storage." Shura scratched the back of her head.

"Is that possible?" Relief filled Chise's insides alleviating the sudden fear that settled in her chest.

"Yeah, however it's not an easy task. Ya'll need a lot of training." The redhead smiled challengingly which Chise reciprocated with a smirk.

"Mika asked you to help me, didn't she?" She asked. It was suspicious that Shura wanted to help by free will.

"Not exactly, it was me who told ya about the blood. Yer my responsibility. Anyway, I've already planned yer training."

"Candles?" Chise inquired. A mocking laugh left her lips.

Shura rolled her eyes. The younger Kirishima had been acting quite different this fine morning. It felt like she was desperately trying to conceal a piece of information beneath an easy going laugh and carefree attitude. Not like her at all.

"How funny, but no. Yer going to sit with Tsukuyomi like this." Shura sat cross-legged and positioned the index and middle finger of both hands over the shiny blade of the katana laying before her. "And summon each technique for the span of an hour, got it?" She stood up.

"Only that? Is that the hard training you were talking about?"

"Buuuuut, ya have to maintain the same level of energy throughout the hour. If it starts to falter midway, ya fail."

"Gotcha. So when my storage increments I'll be done?"

"Pfft don't make me laugh. That's step one."

"What's step two?" Chise asked curiously.

"You'll see. When I finish with ya, ya'll be in a completely new level." Shura gave her a cocky smirk turning to leave the room.

"Shura...?" Chise called. Her voice serene and devoid of any fake emotion she had showed till now.

"What?"

"Thank you." Those words left her lips like a breath. They were pronounced so quietly that if Chise hadn't drawn her attention previously she would have missed them.

That was the straw that broke the camel's back. Shura blew a raspberry, before she stalked back to where Chise was sitting with her head bent. The woman took Chise by the forearm and yanked her roughly so she could face her. "Stop moping will ya! I don't know and truly don't care what happened between ya and that idiot, but could ya do me a favor and keep yer shirt on?! I've got too many things in my hands for ya to become a problem!"

Chise's looked at her with wide eyes and mouth ajar. Truth be told, the girl didn't imagine to be treated like this by Shura. Indeed she must be acting like a weirdo to be scolded this way.

With a swift move, Chise freed her arm from the redhead's grip. A pair of deep breaths and some blinks later she was able to reply steadily.

"...I won't become a problem, I assure you. This was just...nothing." The girl plastered a smile, a tight and controlled smile whatsoever, but it was better than nothing. Shura huffed and finally left the room with no other word.

Chise stayed in her place, katana in hand. Sounds of voices, footsteps, water, and birds reached her ears but it wasn't enough to muffle her thoughts. Humiliation was the primary emotion she was feeling, that and hunger, but the second wasn't as bad as the first. She needed to recover her cool as soon as humanly possible. Her conversation with Jun last night had given her hopes that she could go back to be only Rin's friend the question was...did she really wanted to be only his friend? Could she lock her feelings away and forget about them?

She could try, like the last time it had happened.

The memory of a classmate from her old Cram school, a boy with green eyes and honey colored hair that she used to like came to her mind. In the very end she had to give up on him because she liked another person...her sister Mika. It had been a disappointing and frustrating situation like the one she was stuck in. That was the main reason why Chise couldn't understand why this time she had lost her level-headedness and acted like a freaking jealous school girl when she was supposed to be used to things like this to happen!

"You were scolded." The voice snickered.

"Shut up. It's too early in the morning to put up with you." Chise mumbled.

"You shouldn't drink if you can't stand the hangovers."

"I didn't drink last night."

"What about the juice? Ringing a bell now?" The voice replied matter-of-fact.

"Shit." Was Chise's witty answer.

Three hours and half had passed since Chise started her training. After a good breakfast she went to a secluded space in the backyard and focused on Shura's words. At the very beginning Chise thought that the exercise was quite easy and that she would dominate it quickly…she was oh so wrong. Summoning Tsukuyomi's first and second stages weren't the problem, she could maintain them for thirty minutes with the same level of energy and in no time she'll be able to use them for an hour, however the third technique was another story. Ten minutes were her limit using it. Her breathe became heavy, her pulse rose considerably, her limbs got numb and her vision blurred out of exhaustion.

"This is insane! It's too much exertion for my body." Chise thought letting herself fall over her back. "Shura wants me to have Eclipse activated for a whole hour, but how?"

"Giving up now?" the voice asked her tauntingly.

"Of course not! I won't give her or you the satisfaction to see me fail." Chise replied.

"I don't want you to fail young one." Its statement took her aback.

"You don't?"

"No…"

"Well that's…good, I think?" She sat again scratching the back of her neck awkwardly.

Chise had thought to ask Mika about Eclipse, after all Amaterasu had the same technique, but there was the possibility that she would give her the same answer as when she asked her about that strange book. Now talking about the book…Chise hadn't had any progress deciphering it and that only gave her one more thing to get frustrated at.

"Will Mika tell me anything?" With that question in mind she took out her mobile and speed dialed her older sister. Three beeps later she picked it up.

"Chise? Did anything happen?" Mika asked. Her voice surprisingly tired.

"N-not at all Mika." Chise replied awkwardly.

"Great, then why did you call me? It's rare of you."

"I just…I was wondering if…you know…" The younger sister was nervous. Why was she nervous? It was Mika who she was talking to, her own sister. Mika waited patiently for her to finish. "Help me." Chise finally said.

An ominous silence filled the line till Mika sighed. "Eclipse, isn't it?"

Chise's eyes widened in surprise. "How do you know?"

"Call it female intuition."

Chise rolled her eyes, though she knew Mika couldn't see her. "How much time can you maintain activated Eclipse?"

"I don't know…a lot?"

"Elaborate please?"

"I don't know Chise. It depends on the situation, hours perhaps."

"Hours?! But, how?"

"Long and exhausting training sessions." Mika explained haggardly. A memory of her days as an exwire returned to her mind.

"I see…"

"Let me give you a little advice baby sis." Mika said and stopped pondering if she should say it or not. "Do you know about the blood contract?"

"Yes, Shura told me about it."

"Fine…"

"And…?"

"Don't rush me; I'm thinking how to explain it!" Mika whined making Chise chuckle. "Okay I'm ready. When you sealed the contract you and Tsukuyomi got linked."

"I know. Shura said I gave Tsukuyomi free access to my energy."

"That's not quite correct. To be more accurate it's like your katana and you now share everything. From energy, to feelings, thoughts and even…"

"Even…what?"

"Nothing, forget it."

"Mika!"

"My advice to you is that you should focus in only one task when using Eclipse. If you are concentrated in one specific thing your emotions and thoughts become stronger and it'll help you in holding on Eclipse. Well then I have to go, bye! Love you!" Mika said in a rush before she hung up the phone abruptly.

Chise sighed. "What the hell happens to her?" Tiredly, she stood up and kept her katana inside her hand. She stretched her limbs. "I'll take a shower now."

She went back to the female's bathroom which was empty, stripped of her clothes and went straight to the shower. She lathered her body languidly and rinsed it, then repeated the process with her long hair, washing and rinsing it before she jumped into the enormous tub in the middle of the room. The hot water relaxed her muscles and made her feel at ease. She closed her eyes briefly, letting a sigh of satisfaction escape her lips.

Too much information about her demon sword was given to her in question of hours and she was still assimilating it. Chise was now aware of the risk that implied summoning Tsukuyomi's third phase. She was practically betting her life every time she used Eclipse. It was tempting to know she had a powerful tool at hand; however she won't use it. She still had a purpose ahead of her and dying before she accomplished it wasn't an option.

"What did Shura tell me yesterday?" She murmured, her voice echoing in the bathroom. "Oh right, the story…how did it begin again? The myth of the Celestial Gods."

"Dad, tell me a story." Eight years old Chise said smiling childlike.

A man in his late thirties with sandy blond hair, almond colored eyes and moustache returned the smile patting the girl's head lovingly. "Not today love. It's late and you have school tomorrow." She pouted and he laughed finally giving in to her petition.

****
Once upon a time in a faraway place there was a country. It was a beautiful and prosperous land filled with plants, flowers and animals so different of the ones you know. The people who lived there were happy and enjoyed every day. They didn't know a thing about fear, sadness, war, hunger and despair, that's why they suffered so much when the peaceful days came to an end.

One day, a common day whatsoever, a monster appeared before them. It had two serpent heads, the body of a tiger and wings of a bat. The monster destroyed the crops, annihilated complete villages, devoured people and animals without a second thought and took control of the country. The bravest men tried to fight and kill the beast; however none of them stood a chance against it.

Time passed and people lived in fear waiting for their imminent end. They had to abandon the fertile lands that were once their home and settled in a desolated place. Out of the blue, two travelers appeared, they were hungry and tired of their long journey. Upon arriving most of the people turned their backs on them while others helped them and told them about their homeland and the beast.

The travelers heard the story intently before saying one simple word. Chimera. That was how they called the beast. The people who helped them asked if they knew a method to kill the Chimera to which they answered no. The people were disappointed, however the travelers added. "We don't know how to kill it, but we can try." After that they left to where the Chimera resided.

Many battles they faced against that monster. They fought barehanded, only using their intelligence and cleverness as a weapon. One night after a fierce fight, the travelers rested inside their refuge when two famished kids, a girl and a boy, appeared before them. They were two orphans who had arrived in search of a place to live after their parents' death. The travelers were moved by their disastrous appearance and decided to share their scarce food.

The kids asked them what they were doing in a dangerous place like that and they replied. "We're helping the people who saved us from starvation regain their home. We don't have a place to call home, but they do and that's why we want to help them even a little." The kids looked at each other and said. "You two are risking your life for people who you barely know." The travelers nodded without hesitation gaining a satisfied smiled from the kids. "You two are kind." After uttering those words they left.

The next morning the travelers discovered something that left them breathless. Two beautiful katanas, dangerously sharp were waiting outside the cave. Each one of them took one holding it in amazement. Who had left the weapons? Why? They didn't know, however they knew the weapons were made especially for them.

Without hesitation the travelers left their refuge and prepared to face once more the Chimera. It was an epic battle, worth to be told for many ages after it happened and in the very end the men were victorious. The corpse of the Chimera lay down before their eyes as a proof of their courage and perseverance.

They returned to the desolated place where the people still lived. Upon hearing the good news they returned hastily to their homeland truly grateful to the travelers who had restored the peace and returned them their home. The travelers asked a woman out of curiosity if she knew the kids they had found before to which she replied with a smile. "You two have done something courageous and selfless that even our Gods had recognized it and gave you gifts."

****

"I love that story." Chise mumbled half sleep.

"I know, now sleep." The man replied kissing her forehead.

"If I'm a good girl, maybe the Gods of the story will give me a present too."

He looked at her with melancholy. "Yeah…maybe."

The bath left Chise feeling with renewed energy and ready to continue her training, but before that she wanted a glass of juice and food. She was hungry…again. Shura's training was exhausting on a different level to which she was used to.

"I wonder how Rin is doing." Chise thought entering the kitchen.

There she found Shiemi wearing her school uniform, her short blonde hair combed up into a ponytail and Izumo wearing a yukata, her long purplish hair combed into a bun. They were mired in a silence that the brunette couldn't interpret. When she stepped inside she was welcomed by odd expressions from both girls.

"Do I interrupt?" Chise asked running a hand through her wet locks.

Shiemi blinked before smiling awkward. "No, you don't."

"You still working Shiemi?" The brunette leant on a wall.

"Yup, I wanted to help a little more so…" Shiemi's voice trailed away.

"I see." Chise looked at the other girl. "Yukata, Izumo? Kyoto's vibe is getting into you." A sly smile made its way over her lips.

"Shut up. You changed clothes too." Izumo huffed eyeing the girl's new outfit.

Chise was wearing a spaghetti strap, black top with a pair of denim short shorts, the blue belt around her tight and sandals.

"Not a yukata though." The brunette pushed herself off of the wall, walked to one of the refrigerators and took a bottle of water.

"Where have you been Chise-chan?" Shiemi asked.

"Out there."

As Chise replied Shima Renzou busted into the room loudly, breaking the rare atmosphere that reigned in the room and startling the trio at the same time.

"Okami-san Bon's injured and…" He said in a rush. After not finding the older woman he turned his face to the side and found an enjoyable surprise. "Izumo-chan! You look real pretty in a yukata!" He said delighted.

Behind him came in Konekomaru and Suguro. "Moriyama-san, Bon's injured so could you get us some ice?" The bald boy asked politely the blonde.

"Right away!" She replied, going to get an ice pack and giving it to the tall guy.

"So…what happened?" Chise asked nonchalant sitting on the counter, her legs dangling.

Suguro pondered for a moment whether to tell them or not, in the end he said. "The right eye was taken from the branch office."

"No way. You're joking, aren't you?" Izumo replied taken aback.

"And…Okumura was been detained." Suguro added looking at the brunette straight in the eyes.

"Detained!?" Renzou exclaimed

"What for?!" Chise asked. The color was drained from her face, her muscled tensed and her hands clenched into fists. "This is bad…this is so freaking bad!"

"He let out his flames and all the people at the branch office saw it." Suguro explained.

"That idiot!" The brunette jumped off the counter.

"Th…then what's going to happen to Okumura-kun?" Konekomaru asked.

"I don't know." Suguro bowed his head.

"What do you mean that you don't know?! Rin…What's going to happen to Rin?!" Chise exclaimed dumbfounded. Her voice resonated in the kitchen.

"He was cut cold thanks to some move Kirigakure-sensei pulled on him and he's locked up in a cell in the branch office." Suguro replied not looking at her anymore.

"That means Okumura-kun's in a quite a spot, no?" Renzou said with a nervous laugh.

Chise blew a raspberry in irritation and made her way to the door with determined strides. Her sandals made a clicking sound with every step she took.

"Where are you going Kirishima?" Suguro asked.

She stopped. "Isn't it obvious? To get Rin back."

"Do you think you'll be able to get where he is and bring him back just like that?"

Silence, then she turned her face to look at him with a tight smile. "I can try."

Renzou took her by the forearm. "Wait Chise-chan, don't be reckless. You can't budge in the-"

"I know! I already know that, but I have to help Rin."

"Why do you have to do it?" Suguro stood up and walked towards her.

"Somebody has to do it." She mumbled. "Look, I'm sorry about all the things I said back at the hospital. I shouldn't have said those things, there's no excuse. I've been acting like a complete idiot since then, even now I'm such an idiot who can't apologize properly..."

"Yeah, you're an idiot Kirishima." Suguro told her straightforward. Chise chuckled mirthlessly. "You take everything upon yourself. We barely know a thing or two about you and you expect us to trust you." "We're supposed to be your friends and you treat us like strangers."

"What else was I supposed to do then?" Her twilight colored eyes locked into his brown ones revealing that her question was sincere.

"I already told you, trust in us."

She looked sideways with a blank expression. "Could I trust in them? Will it be safe to trust them? No, that's not the question here; will I be able to trust in them? Suguro is right, I've been hiding all this time so nobody could harm me once more and in the end of the day I was just driving people away from me…" Chise thought. "I'm such a coward."

"Do you even know where the cells are?" The tall guy said and she shook her head no.

"Sure is noisy out there." Renzou added out of the blue popping his head out of the kitchen.

"Something must have happened, huh?" Koneko replied.

"Is it true that Mamushi-san was captured?" a male's voice from outside said. His words took the exwires aback.

"Yeah apparently Juuzo-san returned with her in tow." Another male replied.

"Mamushi…!" Chise heard Suguro mutter before he walked pass her and outside. The rest of the teens followed him close behind. The group followed the exorcists that were gathering in the main entrance.

The mass of persons kept them from seeing the traitor and the Shima brother who accompanied her, though they could hear her word perfectly. "I am a traitor…however, I want you to listen to what I am about to say. Earlier…Todou Saburouta and I used the Right Eye and Left Eye we had stolen…" She coughed violently. "To revive the Impure King."

"Isn't the Impure King that demon that was defeated in the Edo period?" An exorcist asked.

"Wasn't it sealed in an asphyxiated state…under Kongou Shizan…?" Another exorcist from the Myou Dha Sect replied.

"What's the Kongou Shizan?" Chise whispered Konekomaru.

"It was the principal temple of the Myou Dha Sect." He whispered the answer back.

"Silence!" Juuzo yelled authoritative effectively quieting the crowd.

"We left the Head Priest of the Myou Dha Sect, Suguro Tatsuma, behind…He's fighting alone back there right now…!" She fell to her knees and bowed her head begging for help. "Please send back up. Please defeat the Impure King!"

People started to fire questions and insults towards the girl. Suguro not taking it anymore made his way to her.

"Mamushi!" He called her.

The white haired girl turned to face. "Ryu-Ryuuji-sama!"

"Your right eye…!" He sucked his breath at the sight of her infected face. Her right eye wasn't in the place where it was supposed to be and blood oozed from the socket.

"I'm…sorry…" She stuttered. "Save the most High Priest…" Another set of violent coughs invaded her before she passed out.

"Bon I'll bring her to the medical office." Juuzo lift her body and carried her bridal style.

"Juuzo, what about you?" Suguro asked. The older Shima brother wasn't in better conditions than Mamushi.

"I'll meet up with the first division later. Bon, you've got to go with everyone from the cram school to the Ryokan." He instructed. "Renzou! Koneko! Make sure you keep Bon safe! If anything happens to him, I'll expose you two!" Then he left.

"We don't have much of a choice you heard what Juu-nii said, we'd better head back to the Ryokan…" Renzou began saying, though no one minded his words.

"I'm not going back." Chise replied clenching her hands into fists.

"There's nothing we can do Chise-chan." Renzou approached her. She took a step backwards.

"Oh there you guys are! Get over here for a moment!" Shura's voice had drawn their attention to her.

"Kirigakure-sensei…" Shiemi said after everyone gathered around her.

"Shura, Rin-" Chise began to say, though Shura stopped her.

"Rin's been sentenced to execution for letting his flames out like he did just now." The redheaded woman said.

"WHAT?! Isn't it a little too extreme?" The brunette replied altered.

"It's by order of the Vatican. This is the way how they handle the problems. There's no way it can be overruled and that's the thing." The woman looked at the tall Kyoto boy and handed him Rin's katana. "Suguro-kun, I'm entrusting this into your care!"

"Kurikara…!" He took it, astonishment filling his eyes.

"And the letter your father left to Rin. According to its contents, Rin's power is necessary to defeat the Impure King." She gave him the piece of paper and added dead serious. "He wanted to cooperate. Will you guys help Rin?"
