A/N - Hey guys! So I put the first chapter up for this story a while ago -cough- two years ago -cough- but never actually got any further than that but recently I've really started to get back into writing so I thought I'd give it another go! I've rewrote the first chapter and changed it slightly for those who ever actually read it the first time round as I feel in two years I've progressed slightly as a writer. So yeah, I hope you like it :)

note: things will be a little different in my story. The Quileute pack will stay pretty much the way SM wrote them to be but I'm having a little fun and creating my own type of shape shifter. My pack (which Bella belongs to) are a lot more primitive and in touch with their wolf which will be explained throughout the story. They also do not imprint like our La Push gang but they do mate. If you have any questions please feel free to ask and I will answer as best as I can!

CHAPTER ONE
(PAUL)

This was fucking lame. How I got roped into babysitting these fucking assholes I have no idea. Actually I do, Embry and fucking Jake, that's how. Sam had ordered us to bring back Collin and Brady who were stupid enough to think they could sneak off to some frat party in Seattle when they were supposed to patrolling. Fucking pups don't know anything.

Once we arrived we'd split up to find the fuckers but now Jake and Embry are slobbering over some girls claiming that we're here now so we may as well enjoy it before heading back.

Assholes.

Normally I was all for a party but something just wasn't sitting right with me. I was angsty and my already short temper seemed to be kicked up a notch. It felt like my wolf was trying to claw his way out and it was driving me crazy.

"You look like you could use a drink."

My eyes snapped to the side as I glanced at the busty blond, all curves and coy smiles.

"I'm good."

My eyes went back to scanning the crowd, ensuring the boys weren't getting themselves into trouble. Collin and Brady were young and not completely in control, one wrong move could have them lashing out or phasing and I needed to be alert to keep that from happening.

"Oh come on, one drink." The girl was persistent as she moved to stand in front of me. I wasn't gonna lie, she was hot, but I didn't really need the distractions right now, plus I wasn't really feeling it.

I rolled my eyes. "I said I was good."

A finger trailed down my chest as the girl got closer, her tits brushing against me. "You seem tense. Maybe we could go upstairs and –" I didn't give her a chance to finish as I pushed her to side, ignoring her yells of protest as I left her standing there.

Someone had opened the door leading to the garden and with the cool breeze that floated in was a scent I didn't recognize, a wolf but not one of ours. I followed the musky scent immediately; it was almost like I was drawn to it. There was something about it that propelled me forward and I found myself entering the garden without any thought of the threat that might be waiting. I knew I should call my pack brothers but my feet just kept moving.

There was scarcely any people outside, the humans choosing to stay out of the cold weather but my eyes immediately zoned in on the petite brunette. She was dancing alone, barefoot and oblivious, her back to me. She didn't show any sign that she noticed the presence of another wolf, she was either incredibly stupid or just didn't care.

I found myself trembling with anger at the thought, how could she be so thoughtless?

My eyes trailed up the delicious bare skin of her toned legs until my sight was obscured by her too short denim shorts. It was like I was in a daze as I watched her tight ass sway along to the music, her hips rolling sinfully.

"Are you just going to stand there or are you going to come play?" My eyes snapped up at the sound of her husky voice. It was all sex and promises and I found myself even more drawn to this mysterious she wolf.

Was she talking to me?

She still had her back to me, hips still moving. I couldn't smell any other werewolves in the vicinity so I assumed she was alone. Maybe she had sensed me after all.

I stayed still, unsure whether this was a trick or not, when the girl let out a sigh before twirling around. "There's no need to be shy," she smirked before letting out a small gasp.

Her fiery brown eyes locked with mine and I felt like my breath had been knocked out of me and heat filled me, reaching out to me, licking at my skin, pulling me forward with gentle caresses. I was burning in the best way possible and the urge to be nearer to the girl in front of me overpowered me.

Gravity was shifting, connections were binding, and the only thing holding me down was her. A small grin spread across her face as I got closer, she was beautiful. Perfect. My eyes devoured every inch of her face.

I stopped a few inches in front of her, her head falling back slightly as she took in my tall frame. I could feel her sweet breath as she exhaled. We were silent, the moment overwhelming us both until it finally sunk in. I'd fucking imprinted.
