So, this is a snippet of a future scene for an Amorra fic I'd like to write.
It's an AU where Amon is a teenager(about 19), still bitter and angry over the loss of his parents and the physical abuse dealt to him by benders. Amon and his Equalists(a group of about ten) are slowly, slowly gaining ground with adult nonbenders. As youths, they are old enough to register the injustices being handed out to the nonbending community and young enough to actively retaliate against it. And more and more nonbenders are starting to support them. Businesses loan them warehouses for storage and the training of chi-blockers; civilians open their homes as hideaways. Amon and his band of rogue vigilantes, though, aren't considered a serious threat by the Council until ...uh, something big happens. (I haven't gotten that far in fleshing out the plot). Enter Avatar Korra, and the usual chaos ensues.
So, I guess just let me know what you guys think. I'm new to the Amorra ship - I prefer Timewarp!Noatak/Korra, and I have plans for that, as well - but I'm really excited for this idea. This concept was also inspired by kayrou's piece on deviantART called No More Walls, so check that out. Amon is all kinds of tragically gorgeous.
DISCLAIMER: I own nothing but the half-baked plot.

It happened in slow-motion.
One second, Korra was sending a chunk of earth at Amon's head, merely a distraction so that she could escape. She hadn't expected the rock to hit him square in the jaw, or to knock his mask clean off his face. She certainly hadn't expected him to be so young; hadn't expected him to be a just a boy.
Amon was hardly older than herself.
The first thing she saw, of course, were the scars on his face. They cut across his cheek, coming up from below his collar to stretch across his lips and nose; creep over his eye. Korra thought they looked like the branches of a dead tree. The second thing she noticed was that he was handsome. Achingly handsome, with high cheekbones, a straight nose, sculpted brows. Inky hair and olive skin and lovely dark eyes.
Korra scarcely had time to fully register and comprehend and appreciate what she was seeing before Amon was upon her, snarling ferociously as he slammed her into the brick wall; his hand closed tightly around his throat. He seethed. "What have you done?"
