'I was babysitting. Me! I can't believe I agreed to it. I bet because it was Maddy who asked me to baby sit made me do it. Jazzmen is at the library, so I haft to take care of this sick child all on my own. Not that I couldn't In the first place, but still. Why does Daniel need a babysitter anyway?' I heard a sneeze that broke me out of my thoughts, I glanced at Daniel who was lying down on the couch, he groaned. I sighed and walked over to him, "Need anything little badger?" I smiled when he threw a hard glare at me. Daniel rolled over and sneezed again but this time freezing part of the couch. Danny sighed and pulled the warm blanket closer to him. I sighed and left to the kitchen to fetch myself something to eat when first I heard a sneeze then a loud crash. "Darn it!" I heard him yell. I stopped what I was doing and ran back in the living room.

The couch was flipped over and Danny was on the other side of the couch a little ways away upside down in an awkward pose. "What happened?" I demanded. Danny glared "Wouldn't you like to know?" I sighed shaking my head and went back to the kitchen and made myself some tea. As the water heated up I drifted back into my thoughts. After my tea was done I went back to the living room and found Danny curled into a ball with the blanket wrapped tightly around him on the floor shivering. I sighed putting my tea down on the side table and bent down wrapping my hands around the back of the couch, picking it up setting it to its previous state. I smirked when Daniel yelped as I scooped him up and plopped him on the couch. He glared at me again. I chuckled scooping up my tea as I walked over to the armchair across from him. I got comfortable and he blinked and started to shiver uncontrollably again. I was worried about my little badger, he seemed worse than Maddy described. I put my tea down and walked over to Daniel who gave me a questioning look. I gently put my hand on his forehead. He was burning up, literally. I took my hand off and studded him more carefully, he was almost as pail as he is in his ghost form and he looked absolutely miserable. Danny sniffed and looked away. "Still cold little badger?" He slowly nodded. I smiled and sat down next to him. "Why, you're burning up."

"It's my ghost core; it's mostly made up of ice. And it's making me feel really cold. And I can't do anything about it. It sucks." Danny continued to shiver. I smiled and unwrapped the blanket around him and scooped him up. I put him on my lap and put his head on my chest where my ghostly core was centered. Daniel squeaked with embarrassment, struggling to get away but started to slowly relax as he started to warm up against my chest. "Why are you so warm?" He asked drowsily. I chuckled, "I don't have ice powers my core is mostly made up of heat ecto energy." I replied. Daniel nodded. He snuggled up to my chest. He curled up and started to drift off into sleep in my arms. "Goodnight little badger." Danny slowly fell asleep with me holding him in my arms. I smiled as I slowly lay down on the couch shifting him in my arms and started to fall asleep. My forgotten tea getting cold as I gently picked up the blanket on the floor and draped it above us both. I fell asleep hoping that someday he might be my son.
