Hey guys, its been a while...Maybe a year or more. Also, I want to mention about the plot line of the Island. I published this story when I was in 2012 and worked on most of my chapters from 2013-2014, so I apologize if you guys wondered what the purpose of the island was all about. Honestly, I have no clue either. I'm sure that back then, I wanted to create a dramatic competition of sorts...I might try to incorporate some of those events further down the story.

However, it's 2016 now and my writing has gotten better. So, for all the people that have read this back then and still reading this, I would like to truly thank you for still reading this fanfic.

And now, back to where we were before...with Kuroko in Shutoku

"So, what are the teams!" Kagami roared. He was ready to crush these Generation of Miracles.

"I think it's only fair that Kuroko and I are on a team," Midorima stated, pushing up his glasses. "Since we are teammates after all"

Takao looked at him with surprised. "What about me Shin-chan? Am I not a teammate?" Takao asked.

Unfortunately, Takao was met with no response from the bespectacled teen. Looking down, he felt rather glad when he saw certain tealette girl pat him on his back and said, "You are our teammate"

On the other side, Kise and Kagami was bickering with each other.

"No fair Midorima-cchi! I wanna team up with Kuroko-cchi!" Kise exclaimed with a pout. "Also, I don't want to team up with a loser"

With a point towards Kagami, a certain redhead was ticked off. An irritated Kagami grabbed Kise by the collar. "Who are you calling a loser?"

Kuroko stared blankly at the bickering boys. Ignoring the noise, she went forward to grab the basketball. "Let's get this game started already"

With a quick flick of the wrist, the ball was sent to Midorima's hands. He takes a half court three, which swishes. 3-0

"Wow, Midorima-cchi, your shot is nice," Kise marvelled at the shot.

"No time to give compliments," Kagami grunted. The redhead throws an inbound pass to Kise, which was immediately interrupted by Kuroko and passed immediately to Midorima, who was ready at the half court line.

Swish. 6-0

"Woah, when did he get there?" Kagami was dumb founded. He was certain that the girl wasn't there a few moments ago.

"Throw me a overhead pass, so Kuroko-cchi won't deflect the pass," Kise said.

Kagami followed Kise's tips, but Midorima intercepted the pass.

"You shouldn't tell the opponents your tactics," Midorima stated.

Kise muttered about something about having an idiot as his teammate. With a determined look, the blonde blocked Midorima's path. "You won't score"

Midorima did a pump-fake, which got Kise jumping. Midorima then drove towards the basket with Kagami awaiting for him. With some distance away from Kagami, Midorima did a step back to the corner three and shot. Kagami did not expect the step back and was a few steps away from attempting to bother the shot.

Swish. 9-0

In the end, the game was 21-8. During the game, the pair of Kise and Kagami decided to double team Midorima. The sharpshooter managed to miss a shot due to the double team, where the Kise and Kagami duo managed to cover him deeply and Kagami ended up blocking a Midorima three.

However, Midorima would not fall for the same mistake again. Since he got his shot blocked by the redhead and missed a shot due to the two of them, he ended up making sure to make all his shots.

Kise managed to score 6 points, whereas Kagami was able to score a meager two points.

For the other team, Midorima scored all 21 of his teams points.

Takao felt bad for the teal haired girl. Even though he knew she couldn't score, it was rather hard to watch two guys double team on Shin-chan, while Tetsu-chan was left wide open. Even though she was open, Midorima took the shot with no hesitation. For some reason, Takao was sure that he saw a slight look of despair, but it quickly disappeared when the game was over. He would have to talk to Tetsu-chan. After all, their playing styles were very similar.

After the game, Kise and Kagami went their different ways. Now, Kuroko, Midorima and Takao were heading home.

Stretching his arms, Takao yawned. "Wow, that game was amazing. Shin-chan and Tetsu-chan won!" Takao smiled, linking arms with the tealette.

His action was met with a hit on the head by a bespectacled teen.

"Thank you Takao," the tealette smiled back.

Taking a few steps forward ahead of Takao and Midorima, Kuroko went and quickly turned around to face them, so that she was facing towards the two boys. She had to know what they thought about this particular topic.

"I have an important question," she replied.

Both boys raised their eyebrows.

"How much do you value teamwork?"

There was silence for several seconds.

"Teamwork is necessary for the team to win. It's really important," Takao replied with a happy grin. He was truly glad that his Tetsu-chan prioritized teamwork so much, that she would openly address the topic towards them. However, he looked at his left to Midorima. He knew that this question was mostly directed towards him...

"A game won't be won by just teamwork. It's foolish to believe that," Midorima replied. He was met by two hostile stares from Kuroko and Takao.

"Come on Shin-chan! Don't you want to be a team player?"

His reply was met with a roll of eyes from Midorima. "I am, by making three pointers"

Takao saw that Tetsu-chan had a glum expression. He had to do something. Besides, he could definitely relate to how important teamwork was for the team. After all, he was a playmaker in middle school. A sudden thought popped up in his head. Turning around, he placed a hand on Kuroko's shoulder. "Together, we would turn Shutoku into a passing powerhouse"

Kuroko blinked. First of all, she was sure that Midorima would remain indifferent to the idea of teamwork. However, Takao seemed to be open towards teamwork and maybe, just maybe, she could have that feeling of what it was like to be a team again. Still, the idea of being the best team in passing made her warm and wonderful. With a small smile and giggle, she nodded. "I agree Takao"

Both boys stared at Kuroko with awe. They haven't seen Kuroko smile yet, but it was a beautiful and genuine expression, that looked similar to an angel. It was at that moment that both boys wanted her to always be truly happy.

Getting past the awe a few seconds later, the bespectacled teen stared at the exchange that had occurred. He felt irritated. Takao didn't know her like he did and here he is, acting all chummy with her. He even made her giggle! Not that he cared, but Midorima never heard the girl giggle ever! Grabbing Takao by his shoulder, he pushed the raven-haired boy away from Kuroko. "Anyways, do what you want, not that I care. All that matters is the win". The green haired sharpshooter sighed and started walking.

With a glance towards Takao, Kuroko knew that both of them knew what they had to do. They were going to make Shutoku the best school in Japan, and they were going to do it with passing.

In the head of Takao, he thought, 'We are going to be the big three of Shutoku. Watch out Generation of Miracles. We're coming for you'
