Everything was peaceful, for once, and the occupants of 12 Grimmauld Place were getting some much needed sleep. It had been a hectic day for all of them, what with getting Harry to Headquarters and the disastrous after dinner conversation. A scream rent the night. It echoed down the hallways and into the bedrooms, giving everybody a forceful wake-up call. Ron Weasley jolted awake, he knew that scream too well. He looked over to the bed by the door and, sure enough, Harry was twisting and writhing, letting out piercing screams.

Ron leapt out of bed. He knelt down next to Harry and started shaking his secret boyfriends shoulders.

"Come on Harry, wake up! It's just a dream!"

The doorway started to fill up. He shook Harry again, but the raven-haired boy still didn't wake. Ron sighed and scrunched up his nose; he really didn't want to do this, not with his parents and Sirius there, but he hated seeing Harry like this even more.

"Ron, do you want me to try?" Ron shook his head.

"No, I've got it." He took a deep breath, stared at Harry for an immeasurable moment, then bent his head down and gently kissed him. He ignored the shocked gasps of everyone in the doorway, preferring to stroke his boyfriend's hair softly as Harry stopped writhing and his haunted, green eyes fluttered open.

"Hey you." Ron whispered.

"Hey." Harry croaked. Ron frowned worriedly.

"Do you want me to get you some water?"

Harry shook his head. "Please, just, stay with me." He whimpered, clutching on to Ron's T-Shirt.

"Jeez, Harry! Widen those big green eyes at someone else, will you?" Harry blushed.

Despite the strange situation, the people watching couldn't help but be moved by how cute they looked together, with Harry's eyes about as wide as a bush baby's and Ron looking fondly exasperated. Hermione was beaming. She started herding everyone out of the door, realising that the two boys needed privacy.

Ron shifted so that he was lying on his side, Harry against his chest. The smaller boy immediately curled up, wanting comfort.

"Sing to me." Harry mumbled. He knew he wouldn't be able to sleep without Ron's voice slowly lulling him into unconsciousness, like it had so many times before. Ron didn't answer, he just started singing.

"You are my sweetest downfall,

I loved you first,

I loved you first,

Beneath the sheets of paper lies my truth…"

Harry was asleep before the chorus. Ron kept singing anyway.
