Without a Word

ObsessiveBrunette

He blinks. She smiles. Everyone else wonders what the hell goes on between the two of them.

.

Everyone knew they were together. Together together.

No one knew why or how. They never said a word to each other. But every morning she would breeze in to the classroom twenty minutes late, with a wink at the teacher (who never seemed to write her a tardy) and quietly take her seat.

Every morning his eyes would snap up the moment she entered the door and follow her to her seat.

She sits down. Looks across the room. Smiles at him.

He blinks. Watches her for a few seconds. Looks down at his paper.

And that's that.

Every morning Naruto sits looks at them both with a dude, wtf expression on his face.

He glares at him.

She just laughs.

.

Every day she would sit next to him at lunch and he let her.

Uchiha Sasuke let this strange, freakishly happy pink-haired girl sit next to him. Without a fight.

Orochimaru-sensei tried sitting next to Sasuke once. No one ever saw him again.

(Not that anyone was complaining.)

.

Girls would always throw dirty looks at her as she walked through the halls. Every once in a while a brave one would ask her how she did it.

She would shoot her a questioning look, eyes glittering innocently.

The girl would just shake her head and turn away.

Sakura would just shrug and keep walking.

.

He drove her home every day.

Students would watch in awe as she walked up to his shiny black car and tapped once on the passenger side window.

He would roll the window down.

She would smile.

The door would unlock and Sakura would slide in.

Sasuke, who craved speed, who had trashed countless cars, would drive away slowly whenever she was in the car, stopping at stop signs and obeying the speed limit.

She arrived home safely every time.

.

They go through the same routine every day, oblivious to the outside world.

Everyone else wonders if they realize their relationship isn't normal.

But they don't ever say a word.

Poor Naruto wonders if he needs new friends.

.

A/N: So this is really different. Like, REALLY different. But I like it. Let me know if you like it too! (Hint hint)
