Severus turned around to face Dumbledore, but Harry stepped in front of him before he could say anything and said, "I was talking with Myrtle, Headmaster. I promised her I'd come and visit her and I keep my promises. I was telling her about our bike club and I asked her if she'd like to join and she'd be welcomed if she did. I wasn't paying attention to the time so mum and dad came and got me."
"That bathroom is off limits and it is a girl's bathroom besides," Dumbledore flared up. He was in a particularly churlish mood because he'd just found out that Augusta had gotten the vacant seat on the Board of Governors. The only two that had voted for James were the other two Gryffindor Governors.
"Nobody's gone in that bathroom for years, Albus," Lily snapped. She had scant patience with Dumbledore. "Everyone who comes here learns about it within the first couple of days. I don't see any harm in Harry visiting Myrtle."
"And she will not be crying and flooding the corridor since all she wants is somebody to pay attention and listen to her. Mr Finch will certainly appreciate the fact that he does not have to constantly clean up after her," Severus pointed out.
Dumbledore's eyes narrowed, but since they had all stated valid facts, he had no viable argument and did not want to take the chance of revealing what he suspected to be the true status of that bathroom. "I am sure you can meet Myrtle elsewhere, Harry."
Harry shook his head. "No, that's why Luna and me come here because she considers this bathroom her home of sorts, I guess."
"Perhaps if Mrytle accepts your invitation to join your bike club, Harry, you may be able to gradually convince her to leave the bathroom occasionally," Severus said.
"I'll work on it, Dad," Harry replied.
Lily had to hide her grin when she noticed how Dumbledore flinched everytime Harry called Sev, dad. It apparently never occurred to him that being a father meant more than just biology. She would never forget how much James complained about Harry's constant crying, when they were in hiding, because he was teething, but in actuality, James whined way more than Harry cried. "We'd better get Harry back to Ravenclaw, Sev, before Professor Flitwick becomes concerned."
Severus nodded and then silently indicated that they should not speak until they were completely out of range of Dumbledore's hearing. As they left, Severus cast his Muffliato Spell around them.
"We're going to have to go in Nessandra's den from the outside which means we won't be able to visit her much in the winter," Lily said with a frown. "Or else wait until we know for sure Albus is out of the building."
"Why does he have to be such a nosy pest?" Harry complained. "Dud's talked about his headmaster at Smeltings and he isn't like that."
"I suspect it is because Dumbledore feels he must have control of every last detail and he believes that everything will fall apart if he does not," Severus replied.
Lily snorted. "His ego's almost as big as James' is if he thinks the entire Wizarding and Muggle worlds will fall apart without his intervention!"
"If he keeps bothering you, we do have the option of filing a complaint with the board. With Neville's grandmother and Draco's father being board members now, I believe our complaint would be given serious consideration," Severus explained. He had heard from Lucius that both he and Augusta had been voted in and James had not been.
Harry frowned. "Just because I don't want to be what he thinks I should be, he thinks I'm some kind of dark wizard in the making?"
"As I said before, the headmaster needs a battle to fight and if he cannot find one, he will make one up."
Harry left them to return to Ravenclaw while Severus and Lily returned to the dungeon. "I think we need to file a complaint with the board, Sev," Lily said, sitting down on the couch. "I won't have Dumbledore blackening Harry just because Harry doesn't want to be a carbon copy of James."
"I do not think Dumbledore is going to gain much traction with that accusation," Severus replied, sitting down beside her. "Everyone here knows that Harry is a model student ...and not because I forced him to be either. That is his true nature and he respects other students and the staff and the elves also. Even Mr. Filch and Mrs. Norris like him and that, as we both know, is no small feat," Severus said, chuckling.

The first meeting of Harry's Bike Club took place on Saturday afternoon. Including Harry's friends, they were joined by Fred and George Weasley and their friend Lee Jordan and sixth year Prefect, Marcus Flint. Even Percy had decided to join, but he rode in back of the rest of the riders with his Head Boy badge glinting on his chest. The most unusual sight was Myrtle riding between Luna and Ginny on her ghost bike. They rode down the driveway, past Hogsmeade and up the backway to Hogwarts, passing the Shrieking Shack and the Whomping Willow. Remus had decided to ride with them also, but Severus noticed how he grimaced when they passed the Shrieking Shack.
When they got back, Severus, Lily, and Remus shrank their bikes for them so they could store them easily in their dorm rooms. Harry's would be stored in Severus and Lily's quarter in the dungeon.
Myrtle was smiling widely and said to Harry, "Thank you for letting me join your bike club, Harry. I had a good time today. I haven't been outside in forever unless somebody flushes me down the toilet."
"You're welcome. I'm glad you had a good time, Mrytle. You know you don't have to stay in that bathroom all the time," Harry said.
"But where else can I go, Harry?" Myrtle asked rather mournfully.
"You can come up to Ravenclaw and visit Harry, Ginny, and me anytime," Luna said. "And you can tell us about some of the places you've found here over the years."
Myrtle looked thoughtful for a moment then said, "I have done a lot of exploring since I died."
"We're going to our house now. Why don't you come with us," Harry suggested.
"I think I will," Myrtle said.
The adults watched as Luna and Harry with Myrtle between them, chatting cheerfully, went up the main staircase.
"Well, now I think I've seen everything," Remus remarked, shaking his head. "A ghost girl on a ghost bike."
"Mrytle seems to have had a good time," Lily remarked. "Maybe Luna and Harry can eventually convince her to leave that bathroom permanently."
"That wouldn't be a bad thing," Remus replied. "If she makes more friends, there will be less flooding of the second floor hallway which will make Mr. Finch happy." He shrank his bike and put it in his pocket. "I'll see you two at dinner."
Severus and Lily nodded. They went down the stairs to their quarters in the dungeon. Lily resized Harry's bike and wheeled it into his bedroom.
"That was good exercise," Lily remarked, coming back out into the living room.
"I can think of something else that is really good exercise, Lady Prince," Severus suggested with raised eyebrows.
"Oh? And what might that be?" Lily asked coyly.
Severus held out his hand. "Come along and I will show you."

At dinner that evening, Dumbledore tapped on his goblet with his knife until everyone quieted down and turned their attention to the head table. "I noticed we have a new club that was formed without my permission or knowledge. We cannot have children leaving the school any time they wish by means of these bikes so therefore this club as of this moment is disbanded."
Loud boos errupted from the Weasley twins and Lee Jordan joined by boos from Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, and Slytherin tables.
"I never liked him when he was the deputy-headmaster," Myrtle, sitting between Ginny and Luna at the Hufflepuff table, muttered. "He never cared about anybody but the Gryffindors."
Lily's eye flashed as she said. "Why? Because Potter might not approve? He can go fly a Hungarian Horntail and hopefully it will dump him into the nearest body of water!"
"Exactly what is the problem you have with Mr. Evans-Snape's bike club, Headmaster?" Severus asked. "The students are not riding alone. Professor Evans-Snape, Professor Lupin, myself, plus our head boy, Mr. Weasley, are all supervising the students unless you think Mr. Weasley is going to allow someone to stop at the Hog's Head and down a few," Severus said sarcastically. He did not mention that Marcus Flint was also part of the club.
"This "club" appears only to be open to certain people," Albus replied primly. "That is not allowed here."
"Don't be ridiculous, Headmaster," Minerva snapped. "The Hogwarts Code of Conduct does not require the headmaster's permission to form a club, only the student's head of house and as long as it's open to everybody, which Mr. Evans-Snape's club is, then there's no problem."
"And Mr. Evans-Snape did owl me over the summer seeking my permission for his club which I gave," Filius added.
"With You-Know-Who no longer in the picture, it's perfectly safe for Mr. Evans-Snape to be riding his bike," Remus added even though he didn't think Dumbledore was the least bit worried about Harry's safety. "And as Professor Snape already pointed out, he's not riding alone in the event there are still renegade Death Eaters lurking about."
"None the less, I'm suspending this club indefinitely until I can review its aims."
"It's aim is being outdoors while the weather's still nice and it's excellent exercise. On the Continent, as many people ride bikes as any other form of Muggle transportation," Pomona said. "There's definitely no rule about students having to only walk when they're outside. If a student should want to ride their bikes around the grounds instead of walking, I don't see the harm in that."
"And they're merely riding through Hogsmeade, not stopping to shop," Filius added. He couldn't figure out why Albus was behaving like such a prat.
"I will let you know of my decision," Albus said getting up and leaving by means of the door behind the head table.
Neville was angry. "I'm going to owl Gran and tell her what Dumbledore did and that there's no reason for him to do it!"
"You owl your grandmother, Nev, and I will owl my father. We will see what the board has to say about Dumbledore's decision," Draco said.
As the students left the Great Hall, there was much muttering and mumbling. Fred, George, and Lee were certain that Dumbledore had no reason to disband the club, because of course, Percy had checked the rulebook before deciding to join and found no rule forbidding the formation of clubs as long as they were approved by the head of house and open to the entire student body.
Harry was really angry, too. "He's just throwing his weight around because it was my idea and he thinks he can!"
Severus was angry and so was Lily. They both also suspected that Dumbledore had only done it because it was Harry's idea and he was going to stand in the way of anything Harry wanted to do since Harry refused to be a minature of James.
"Your mother and I will get to the bottom of this, Harry. Don't worry," Severus said. "And that old barnacle will be very sorry he decided to start this!"
"Draco's going to owl his dad and Nev his grandmother," Harry said. "In the meantime I'm going to find a copy of the rules and look this up. I'm sure Professor Flitwick has a copy he'll allow me to borrow."
"We'll let you know when we find out anything, Harry," Lily said.
"Okay Mum, Dad," Harry replied. He rejoined some of the other Ravenclaws, including Myrtle, who were waiting for him.
"We'll see about this!" Severus muttered angrily when they got back to their quarters, grabbing some floo powder out of the china cauldron that had once belonged to his mum, kneeling down in front of the fireplace, and tossing it into the flames and sticking his head into the fire when it turned green. "Malfoy Mansion, Wiltshire."
Lucius got up from his desk, came over to the fireplace and knelt down in front of it. "Severus, what's wrong? You look upset."
"I am. You will be getting an owl from Draco about this also. Dumbledore canceled Harry's bike club."
"Merlin's staff! What was his reason?"
"He did not have one that made any sense, frankly. His blathered something about how it was formed without his knowledge or permission though his permission is not needed and Harry did get Filius' permission over the summer, then he claimed the club was only open to certain people whatever the hell that means."
Lily knelt down next to Severus. "Sev, me, Minerva, Filius, Remus, and Pomona all argued with him about his decision, but he refused to listen to any of us. I imagine, too, that you'll be getting either a call or an owl from Augusta Longbottom because Neville is going to owl her also."
I will check the Hogwarts rulebook and see what it says because I am not familiar with this particular situation and I will wait for Augusta to contact me or I will contact her if she does not and we will take it up with the board if Dumbledore is overstepping his authority," Lucius assured them.
"Good!" Severus said. "You may call us if you have any further questions."
Severus got up from the fireplace, but he still felt like kicking a cauldron across the room.
Lily sighed and sat down on the couch. "Are we going to be fighting Dumbledore at every turn because he's going to be against anything Harry wants to do?"
"If he continues to be this churlish and childish, he will find himself out of a job. That I can guarantee you!" Severus snapped. He sat down on the couch beside Lily. "He has been this way since he found out I adopted Harry and doubly so since we permanently banished You-Know-Who without any help from him."
"Well, of course, Sev," Lily said. "He was planning for Harry to be the sacrificial goat and him the big hero who saves the Wizarding World a second time from a dark wizard and you threw a wrench in his plans! I'm also sure James and Sirius are playing a major part in his attitude also!"

Harry decided to suspend his bike club until he heard from his parents, since he figured his dad had contacted Uncle Luc, and he heard a definite decision from the board to Dumbledore's idiot reason for suspending his club. No point in them all ending up in detention for disobeying the headmaster's silly decision. Most of his friends, particularly Fred, George, Lee, and Cedric decided to take their bikes and ride them around the grounds, but not in a group. Luna, Ginny, Hermionie, and Myrtle on her ghost bike, could be seen riding around the grounds also. Harry, Nev, and Draco rode together also being careful to stay within the grounds.
After being called to a meeting with the board to explain his objections, Albus was warned that he had overstepped his authority because the only permission needed was from his head of house and Filus, in fact, had given his for Mr. Evans-Snape's bike club during the holidays and anyone could join it, but just as not everybody wanted to play Gobstones or Wizard's Chess, not everybody wanted to ride a bike, but that did not make any of them illegal. The majority of the board voted 'Aye' on continuing the club while the two Gryffindor governors, who were cronies of Albus', voted 'Nay'.
Albus went back to his office muttering, "Most of them wouldn't recognize a future dark wizard if he ran over them with his broom!" Malfoy and Severus were probably working on it as he spoke. He sat down behind his desk, sucking petuantly on a lemon drop. His fears about Harry becoming a dark wizard were well proven. Tom Riddle had also been popular and well liked by the student body. How long before he caught Harry sneaking into the Restricted Section of the library when he had no legitimate reason for being there?
His floo sounded and he looked over to see James' head in the fire. "Do you have any good news about what potion Snivellus has Harry under yet?" James asked stepping out of the floo.
Albus shook his head. "I was thinking it has to be some kind of a compulsion potion, but the problem is that Severus invents a lot of his potions or he may redo one where the original inventer has died and the family has died off also so it's going to be very difficult if nigh impossible to find out what he's dosing Harry with."
"Not to mention Lily, Minerva, Filius, Remus, and Pomona," James stated.
Albus looked up in surprise. "Do you really think he's been putting a potion in their drinks, too?"
"I'd bet the last Galleon in my vault on it!" James said stoutly. "Why else would they all turn against Siri and me when they loved us before and never gave a hoot about Snivellus all seven years?"
"Well, why would he not dose me, too, then?" Albus asked doubtfully. "Would that not make things a lot easier for him?"
"Because he knows your will's too strong for his potions and besides, with you being the only one trying to do the right thing, he can claim you're just a paranoid nutter."
"Hmm …" Albus said reaching for another lemon drop and popping it into his mouth. "That does make sense."

Harry was overjoyed when his mum and dad told him of the board's decision, they having just heard it from both Lucius and Augusta. When he saw Nev and Draco, they both told them they had received owls, Nev's from his grandmother and Draco from his dad, letting them know of the board's decision.
"I wonder if Dumbledore got this whole idea from Potter and Black," Harry said the next morning at breakfast.
"Probably, since he's got both ears glued to their arses!" Draco answered, causing Teddy to spit a mouthful of pumpkin juice all over. "Thanks, Drac, now I'll have that picture in my head all day!"
"Come on, Teddy! You know it is true," Draco replied.
"Yes, but I didn't want to picture it!" Teddy complained.
"And thanks to you and Draco, Nev, for owling your grandmother and Draco, your dad," Harry said.
"Uncle Sev did, too, and Dad said he was madder than a Hungarian Horntail," Draco replied. "Aunt Lily also."
"But this won't be the last time he tries something though, I'm sure," Harrysaid sourly.
"And the board will discharge him and hire a new headmaster if he does," Hermione replied.
"Hopefully before he accidently injures or even kill somebody trying," Greg added.
"Yeah, hopefully," Vince agreed.
The bell rang warning them that they had fifteen minutes to get to their classes. They all got up, walking together out of the Great Hall, chatting and laughing.
Even though Myrtle had joined Harry's bike club, and sometimes could be coaxed by Luna and Ginny to come up to Ravenclaw Tower, or occasionally sat with them in the Great Hall for meals, she still preferred to mainly stay in her second floor bathroom. Harry understood and didn't mind visiting her there and she would give him an excuse to be in the bathroom if the Dumbledore decided to stick his big nose in things again.
"Can we visit Nessandra, today?" Harry asked at breakfast one morning. He had slept overnight in his parents' quarter. "I don't want her to think I forgot about her."
"Minerva did say last night that Albus would be at the Ministry all day," Lily said.
"That is good to know. We can do it after classes," Severus decided. "But I think we still better use the outside exit just in case."
"And wear our mirrored sunglasses just in case Nessandra doesn't have her glasses on," Lily added.

Dumbledore had decided to try and track down Horace Slughorn to see if he there was a potion you could give someone to reveal what potions they might be unknowningly taking and if so, could he brew it, but he had to find Horace first. He stopped at Slug & Jiggers Potion Shop first of which Horace was a co-owner to find out if his partner, Josiah Jiggers, had any knowledge of where he might be.
Jiggers, who did not like Dumbledore and thought he was a nosy troublemaker, shook his head. "I'm not sure, but the last time I spoke with him, he said something about wanting to visit the wine country in France, but he didn't say any specific place."
Dumbledore sighed and thanked him. Horace had never liked the brutal winters at Hogwarts so it made sense that he would want to go where the winters were mild. He returned to his office sat down and wrote a note to Horace, asking him to floo him and then motioned to Fawkes. "Please take this to Horace." Fawkes took the note from Dumbledore in his beak and in a flash of light he was gone. Dumbledore flooed to the Ministry to take care of the Chief Warlock duties awaiting him there.

After school, Harry, Severus and Lily donned their mirrored sunglasses again and went outside, using the door that led out to Severus vegetable garden and potion ingredients garden. They walked around the building to the entrance that Nessandra went in and out to hunt. Severus pushed it open and Harry and Lily went inside then waited as Severus made sure the door was shut again and then Harry called out "Nessandra," in parseltongue.
"Harry, come in. Salazar has come to visit me today, also," she hissed back at him. She was wearing her glasses so they could remove their sunglasses.
"She said Lord Slytherin has come down to visit her," Harry translated for his parents.
"Lord Prince," Salazar said, using Severus' hereditary title, when he saw him.
"Lord Slytherin," Severus replied, giving him a slight nod with his head.
"Thank you for making it possible for me to come down here and visit Nessandra whenever I wish to."
"It was actually Harry's idea to buy a picture frame and place it opposite Nessandra's stall."
"Thank you, Mr. Snape," Salazar said in parseltongue.
"You're welcome, Lord Slytherin," Harry hissed his reply.
"We have to be very careful coming down here now because Dumbledore is becoming suspicious," Lily explained.
"And that is also why I have not been down here to investigate your potion laboratory further," Severus added. "I know that if Dumbledore found out about Nessandra and your potion laboratory, he would destroy them both. His paranoia grows stronger every year."
Salazar nodded. "Yes, caution should always be used in situations where the enemy is uncertain."
After a short time, they bade Nessandra and Lord Slytherin farewell and after checking to make sure Hagrid was nowhere to be seen as his home could be seen in the distance, Severus, Lily, and Harry returned to the dungeon.

Dumbledore came back to his office after a long day at the Ministry and sat down behind his desk. Just as he was about to call his elf Twinky for a pot of hot tea and something to munch on even though dinner was in an hour, his floo sounded and he looked up to see Horace's head sitting in the green flames. "Horace, please come through," he called.
Horace brushed the ashes off his robe then stepped out of the fireplace. "Fawkes brought me your message. What is it about that you need my help with, Albus?"
At that moment Twinky popped in levitating a tray with cups, saucers, a teapot, and a plate of freshly baked oatmeal raisin cookies.
"Have a seat, Horce," Dumbledore said as he poured tea. Horace seated himself in one of the squashy red chairs in front of the desk and took the teacup Dumbledore offered him and took a couple of the cookies. He took a bite of one and sighed. "One thing I definitely miss is the elves' cooking here."
Dumbledore took a bite of his cookie and a sip of his tea. "I was wondering if you knew of a potion when given to someone could reveal other potions that they may have been dosed with, without their knowledge."
Horace sat back deep in thought for a few moments. "There's is only one that I can think of. It's used on witches and wizards at St. Mungo's that have become addicted to certain potions and giving them this potion will reveal what they are addicted to and how much they're taking." Horace chuckled. "Albus, be warned there are not any that after the person drinks it, a piece of parchment will appear spelling out all the potions that person is taking. More likely, it will make the person vomit and then Madam Pomfrey will need to test that."
Dumbledore made a face at that thought. "Will the potion they took show up in the test along with whatever other potions they may be taking and can it detect Muggle drugs?"
"No, this particular potion is so fact acting that it will not contaminate the results of testing for other potions and yes it is able to reveal even Muggle drugs. What is your need for this anyway?"
"The parents of one of the older students came to see me. They said their behavior had changed dramatically and they wondered if they could possibly have gotten hold of one of those drugs that are popular with Muggle teens or possibly they were being dosed with a potion."
"I see," Horace answered. "The potion is called Revelare Omnes Potionibus."
"Reveal All Potions. Would you be able to brew this, Horace?"
Horace shrugged. "I could, but why not have Professor Snape brew it?"
Dumbledore pretended to look uncomfortable. "Actually the student is a member of Slytherin House, but the parents don't trust Severus and think he is allowing the student to be dosed with a potion. I don't want him to find out until I get the results back or he will stop allowing the student to be dosed with whatever potion is being used
"In that case I will brew it. It will take at least a week because after brewing, it will need to sit in the moonlight for three nights in a row. Also, do not use any more than ten drops in this student's drink. More than that may cause continued vomiting, resulting in severe dehydration."
"How quickly does it act?" Dumbledore asked
"Within about five minutes of drinking whatever this student usually drinks."
"That is fine, Horace. I will let the parents know. Thank you for being willing to help with this situation."
"You are welcome, Albus."

Harry sat down at the Ravenclaw Table. He was earlier than the rest of his friends that morning as he wanted to go over his Transfiguration notes one last time before the written test that morning. He had just finished pouring himself a big glass of pumpkin juice when Ron came over. "Hey Potter!"
Harry looked up. "You know very well my name's no longer Potter, Weasely."
"Yeah and I know you chose Snape over Potter, you chose Ravenclaw over Gryffindor, and you chose books over Quidditch."
"What your point?"
"All of us Gryffindor's know you chose the Git of the Dungeon over your own father, too!"
Harry got up, his fists clenched. "You take that back, Weasely! My dad isn't a git and Potter's a major berk and so is Black!"
While Harry's attention was fixed on Ron's smirking face, Ron quickly dumped the vial Dumbledore had given him into Harry's pumpkin juice.
"I'm not taking it back, Potter, because all you are is a Death Eater-in-training!"
At that moment, Draco, Teddy, and Milli along with Greg and Vince arrived. "What's going on here?" Milli asked.
"Mind your own business, Bulstrode! This is between me and Potter."
"No, it's between Harry and the five of us, Weasley," Greg replied, getting in Ron's face.
"Go back to your own table, Weasely, you loser!" Draco snapped.
"Think I will. I don't want to be around a bunch of Death Eaters-in-training anyway!" Ron said then smirked and sauntered back to the Gryffindor table.
Harry glared after his retreating figure then sat down again. "Idiot!" He muttered. At that moment, breakfast appeared on the table and then Luna, Ginny, Hermione came in followed by Dean and Neville. They all proceeded to fill their plates. Harry had pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon, and sausage. He waved at his mum and dad as they came in. Harry continued to study for his test that morning. He was vaguely aware of Teddy and Draco telling the others about his encounter with Weasley.
The bell sounded warning them they had only a short time before they would be late for class. Harry gulped down the rest of his pumpkin juice then grabbed his satchel and walked out of the hall with Hermione. They were about halfway to Transfiguration when Harry suddenly felt violently nauseous and threw up.
"Ooh Potter!" Pansy said wrinkling her nose. "Couldn't you wait until you got to the bathroom!"
"Shut up, Pansy!" Hermione snapped. She was trying to help Harry who at this point was down on his knees, continuing to throw up. She looked up at the students who were gathered around Harry. "Don't just stand there! Somebody get Professor Snape and Professor Evans-Snape!"
