A/N: For those who really like Dimitria…I promise you, you won't like this. There weren't many characters I didn't like in Power Rangers but Dimitria is one of them. With that said, I present the following.

A/N 2: It's a "new era" as the last of Zordon's original Rangers are ushered out by Dimitria of Inquiris and four new Rangers are slated to take their places. But is this really a new era…or is it a diabolical conspiracy aimed at bringing down the Power Rangers? Remember folks…just like the title says, blood is thicker than water, always. Oh and I own nothing except Isabella of Phaedos.

A/N 3: Last chapter. As mentioned before, there will be short stories involving this series upon the conclusion of this story. SparklyTree3876's storyline idea from Hopeful Hearts plays a huge role in this series. In future short stories surrounding this series, not only will Vile be pursuing Kimberly, but all of the Alliance will as well once they know of her departure from Earth.

Chapter 13 – The Fight Begins Anew

Master Vile's Space Skull

"So how do we attack them?" Divatox said, as her troops gathered for a conference of war with her and Master Vile. Vile and Divatox had decided to take Master Vile's Space Skull to Earth, as it was just as fast for travel as the Space Base and still allowed for the rest of the alliance to use the Space Base whenever they needed.

"First of all, I need to reclaim the Zeo Crystal somehow. With that Crystal, I will have final victory because the Crystal, in my command, is that powerful," Vile said. "The Rangers stole it away from me last time, and I will make them pay dearly for it!"

"Moreover," Vile continued, "I sensed fluctuations in the Morphin Grid recently. I think one of those brats used the Crystal to rebuild the Power Chamber."

At this, Divatox was shocked and horrified.

"No!" Divatox exclaimed. "That was my greatest victory, destroying the Chamber and now it's rebuilt, like THAT? Besides, how could any of those young brats use the Crystal for that big a task without draining their life force?"

"If I had to guess, Valentina used the Crystal as she is one of the team members with the most experience. Her using it wouldn't necessarily be a drain on her as she knows how to use it," Vile said. "I believe she also used it to restore the Thunderzords which Rito previously destroyed. That is why it is so vital that we get that Crystal away from them."

"So that's why they were brought back," Divatox said. "Pretty obvious we have to get that Crystal away from them. But I sense there is another part to your plan."

"Indeed," Vile said. "I want Kimberly as my queen and I will have her."

"No way," Divatox said. "You want that little perky pink twerp? What can she do?"

"If Lerigot hadn't magically turned her back to the side of good when he did, then Kimberly had the potential to become a very powerful servant of evil," Vile said. "Because of the potion your sister put in her drink, her hatred for Tommy and the rest of the Rangers she served with had built to a boiling cauldron. Combine that with Maligore's power, and she could have become an instant instrument of destruction."

"In addition, and maybe most importantly of all, Dimitria had the right idea and you and her would be ruling Earth right now if Justin hadn't gotten lucky when he did," Vile said, "Dimitria knew that Kimberly is the heart of their team. If we take her, their team will crumble just as it did when you put that potion in her drink and forced that letter."

"And you think you can control her?" Divatox said. "Zedd tried many years ago, I heard, and failed miserably."

"Where he failed I will succeed because I am far more wise in the ways of evil, Divatox," Vile said. "Never forget that. I have the ability to use her family issues to my advantage. She has been forsaken by her parents, and her trust in the other Rangers until recently was not there. We can exploit that."

"You actually love your children?" Divatox said.

"Indeed I do," Vile said. "You must never forget, Divatox, that for all species, even those who serve the forces of evil, family is everything. Especially for humans. If I had to die to keep my family alive, I would do it. Never underestimate the impact that the Pink Ranger's family betrayal has had on her."

"So if we exploit that...we can grab her...and keep her," Divatox said.

"Moreover, my spells are infinitely more difficult to break," Vile said. "If I can get her on my side, and get the Crystal, I can use the Crystal to make my own evil Ranger, and bind Kimberly to evil forever."

"I think we need to attack them to know what we are up against," Divatox said. "You know some of them will go into space to try and rescue Zordon."

"I highly doubt any of the Ninja Rangers would leave, as much as they love Zordon they love home just as much," Vile said. "But I agree with you, we should plan an attack that will test their defenses and see what we are up against."

"I think we should attack them on two fronts," Divatox said. "Attack downtown Angel Grove and test the defenses of their new building at the same time. That way we can see what they have but don't waste precious time doing it."

"I like that line of thinking," Vile said. "Do you have any ideas?"

"General Havoc can perform an attack on downtown with a squadron of Piranhatrons and Chromites," Divatox said, "and meanwhile Translucitor, who Porto had the foresight to revive recently, can try and infiltrate the new building. If he isn't able to, then it's no big loss but we test their defenses."

"That's not bad. I like my ideas better but that's not a terrible line of thinking," Vile said. "All right, we'll play that game. Send your troops to attack at once."

The New Power Chamber

Angel Grove, CA

Shortly after the alarms sounded for the first time, they went off again.

"Oh God, what now?" Kimberly said.

"Big trouble downtown. Take a look," Valentina said as she pointed to the new viewing screen, which almost looked like a high definition TV that would available in most electronic stores today.

The figure on the screen looked familiar to six of the Rangers while the others stared in confusion.

"Who in the blue hell is that?" Tommy said.

"General Havoc," Justin said. "Divatox's brother. Which means she and Vile are planning something already."

"Evil villains really need to stop having family. It really creeps me out," Aisha said.

"That's not all. I sense that something has just landed in the desert and is headed for the building. I can't exactly pick up what it is though," Billy said.

"If that shield works like it should, then whoever is on his way here should be fried if it's a bad guy, right Valentina?" Justin said.

"Indeed," Valentina said.

"I think you guys should stay here," Jason said, "and try and protect the building should something somehow slip through. We'll go head Havoc off."

Tommy nodded and then Jason turned to his team and said, "Let's do it guys. IT'S MORPHIN TIME!"

Downtown Angel Grove

The six Rangers who had just arrived cut off Havoc right as he was about to terrorize a young couple.

"Hold it right there, Havoc!" Jason shouted. "Your fight is with us!"

"Ah, Rangers, I've been expecting you," Havoc said, making sure to take note of who was there and who was not. "Afraid to let the other half of your team out to play?"

"We don't need all twelve of you to take you down, Havoc!" Trini said. "No matter what Master Vile and Divatox plan you'll never stop us!"

"We'll see about that," Havoc said. "Piranhatrons, Chromites, attack!"

The Power Chamber

Not long after the second Ninjetti team had left to meet Havoc and his troops, the Rangers who were left in the Chamber heard a huge explosion outside.

"I believe this means we have our first victim to the new shield that surrounds this building," Valentina said. "Observe the viewing screen."

The Rangers all turned to the viewing screen and saw the source of the explosion; it was the remains of a charred, destroyed alien who had tried to penetrate the shield.

"Who's that?" Adam said. "Never seen him before either."

"That is Translucitor, another of Divatox's previously destroyed incarnations," Valentina said. "He has the ability to go invisible and I'm guessing Divatox sent him to see if they could infiltrate the building again. But the shield which surrounds this building can sense any evil and will fry it on impact. I am serious when I say no evil will ever grace the walls of this place again."

"We need to leave now," Tommy said. "Vile and Divatox will see this soon and recall their troops. Andros, let's go."

"Agreed," Andros said. "My team, to the Megaship, now."

"Good luck Rangers," Valentina said, "and may the Power protect you all."

Downtown Angel Grove

15 minutes later

"All right, Havoc!" Jason said as the six Rangers who had left the Chamber defeated the last of the Piranhatrons and Chromites. "No more troops to hide behind!"

Havoc was about to respond when he suddenly received some sort of summons.

"I would love to keep playing with you, but I am needed elsewhere. We shall meet again, Power Rangers," Havoc said as he disappeared.

The Power Chamber

"That was freaky," Justin said as the team arrived back at the Power Chamber.

"Yeah, no kidding," Kat said. "Why did he take off like that?"

"He's testing us I think," Trini said. "I believe that is what this attack was designed to do; test our defenses."

"I believe you are correct," Valentina said. "The one who tried to attack this place earlier was Translucitor, Justin I think you remember him."

"Yeah, he had the ability to make things disappear or go invisible himself," Justin said. "I assume the shield took care of him?"

"Yeah, completely fried him," Valentina said. "That shield did its job but they are testing our defenses to see what they will be facing."

"You know what's funny," Jason said, "is that Havoc made some remark about being afraid to let the other half of our team out to play. Do you think they're specifically targeting the other half of our team?"

"I wouldn't be surprised," Tanya said. "Certainly wouldn't be the first time it happened. Say, where are the guys?"

"They decided to leave while they could," Valentina said, "while Vile and Divatox were watching that battle. They told me they'd try to keep contact but they decided to leave now."

Master Vile's Space Skull

"It is just as I suspected," Vile said, "we will not be able to infiltrate that building again."

"It's no big loss to lose Translucitor, but it's sad to see that my handiwork has been undone," Divatox groused. "Did you notice only half their team came out?"

"I did. Very astute to notice that. They are hiding Kimberly from me but I will have her eventually. Porto," Vile said. "Can you scan for Kimberly Hart's energy reading on Earth?"

"I can indeed, especially since she was powered by Maligore very briefly," Porto said. After several minutes, he frowned.

"This is strange," Porto said. "Someone who was under Maligore's influence should be easily readable, but I cannot find a signature like that anywhere on Earth."

Vile sat down on his throne and though for several minutes, then stood up.

"This must mean she and the rest of those first six Ninjetti decided to go with Andros and his team to rescue that old coot Zordon," Vile said. "She can run but she can't hide. This time, we shall use not one of your monsters, but one of mine. Globbor, come here!"

Instantly, Master Vile's most feared general, the Blue Globbor, stepped forward.

"You called, boss?" Globbor said.

"Indeed I did. I have a mission for you," Vile said. When he explained his plans and Globbor's part in them, Globbor nodded.

"She's as good as yours, boss," Globbor said. "I will find her and bring her back here."

"Your ship is being prepared and you will be leaving in a few short hours. Do NOT fail me, Globbor. Do NOT fail me. My plans are too big for anyone to fail," Vile said. "Kimberly is to be mine and mine alone. Whatever it takes...do what you have to do. Get it done."

"Yes, sir," Globbor said.

The End, for now
