101 Attempts: The End
A/N: You guys are in for a surprise ;)
And before you read it, I just want to say that you guys are amazing and I'm so proud of you for sticking with me this long. I know it's hard to sit down and read an ENTIRE 101 chapter series, but some of you guys managed (or skipped to the end). Your support honestly encouraged me with each update, and really, I looked more forward to chatting with you guys and making you happy than writing some of these chapters. I really hope I can continue to maybe talk with you guys after this :)
By the way... this was one of the first chapters I wrote. I moved it to the very end so it would be in a fitting place, and waited a long time (editing small bits of it as I saw fit) until I could use it. Now it's here :D
._.
At the end of anything that was ever great or at least completed, there were ending credits. Normally accompanied by melancholic or energetic music depending on the production, the names of those who helped with the project rolled by too fast and too small for anyone to actually see.
Allen finished editing these credits with a standard movie-editing program, having spent the better part of the past hour scrolling through each page of reviews for names. After adding each one to his list, he typed them in to add for The End.
No one else in the computer room was with him. The room was mostly dim save for the glowing of his monitor. He didn't think he would be found here; everyone was busy with preparations for some big project anyways.
He used the wireless mouse to save his project. It sure would be awful if all of his hard work went to waste by some sudden power outage. Because that was an inconvenient thing that happened at inconvenient times.
Luckily no such inconvenient thing happened. His project was saved successfully on the hard drive, and backed up on two flash drives. There was no way this could possibly go wrong.
Allen connected the computer to the overhead projector in the front of the room, very confident that his plan would work. He checked the sound, adjusted the lights, and made sure there were no other potential problems. Sitting down at the desk where the computer was, he made himself comfortable and pressed the "Present" button.

FIN
(Or should I say... RIP?)
The presentation came to an end. Allen let out a relieved breath, having expected someone to burst in and tell him that this wasn't a legitimate attempt.
Well, the series was ending anyways, and the credits were final. Rolling the credits meant he was free from these assholes, right?
The door opened and said assholes arrived to prove him wrong.
"Idiot apprentice, what are you still doing here?" Cross demanded.
The general- he was still a general in Allen's mind, despite being Emperor Cross Marian McScumbag the III- , pushed past the crowd to reach his student, and looked over his shoulder to see what he had just presented (to a room void of other people, of all places). While he went over Allen's work, the apprentice noticed him carrying a large cage. Allen wondered if Cross wanted to see another lion. The man set the heavy object on the floor, folding his arms across his chest in thought as his eye scanned the screen.
He pulled a face and opened his mouth to tell him something, but decided against whatever he was going to stay and kept silent.
Cross glanced at Allen, to the other ex-Exorcists, and then to the wine bottle in his other hand. Everyone else must have understood what Allen tried to do, and left to avoid breaking the bad news. Cross swore when the doors closed, not having wanted to be the one to tell his student about whatever needed to be said.
"What?" Allen frowned. Since there was no reason to linger, he closed the program and shut the computer down.
As the computer screen turned blank, Cross was forced to inform his apprentice of the problem.
"Well," he drawled, "this last attempt of yours doesn't exactly count as successful."
"Why not?" Allen questioned in disbelief.
"... Because this isn't exactly the end," Cross answered, watching his apprentice's disbelief turn into anger. "You see, we did finish this series. But..."
"But what." Allen didn't think it was possible for him to get any angrier than he already was.
"There's another series," Cross informed his student. He began to take out a very familiar object from under his uniform, and at first Allen believed it to be Judgment. That was when he saw the wooden shaft and metal top. Before Allen could interrupt, the general continued, "It's called 69 Ways to Bother Idiot Apprentice. I'll tell you more about it once we go back in time again and start over."
"That is the worst story idea ever," Allen complained. "The worst idea ever," he repeated and then added, "Of all time." And then Cross hit Allen on the head and put him back in his cage. Just like Cross had brought down the hammer when he left Allen in India, he had brought down the same hammer to knock him out and wrap this up for good.

Attempt: Roll the Ending Credits
Foiled by: We're not done yet.
(*Shouts: "References are everywhere!" into the sunset*)
Note: Some of the reviewer names might have been blocked out by Fanfiction. If your name isn't in there and you know you reviewed, let me know so I can fix the error.
*Allen: A role-player I think :T Sometimes reviewers just take the name of a character, but don't do any role-playing u_u
**Melons: Oh if only that had been a role-player. That would have been awesome.
***Timcanpy: Again, another maybe-roleplayer.
YES I'M FINALLY FINISHED! Now, I'm going to take a long break (not sure how long) because of school, but when I start again it will be with 69 Ways to Bother Idiot Apprentice. I'm also going start looking for a job and some other things, so I might not be writing as much as I would like. Every once in a while if I think of something I'll post it, but it won't always be D Gray Man related. I just want to let you guys know that if I don't update in say, a year or however long, that I'm just going through some stuff. That aside, it was lots of fun writing for you guys :)
Less than three! ^w^
