Chapter 35: A Gift

Kagome was almost hardly seen these days as she would come and go like the clouds in the skies. Tony and Loki were kept under watchful eyes of the Avengers as they were practically scrutinize. However their eyes were on the wrong person as Kagome had went about to set a few things in motion, and the outcome that she was expecting of it was going to be fireworks, explosive. She smirked in thought of it, appearing back in the room that she was given as she looked about it before staring out of the balcony towards the uncertain stormy sea.

Things were going to be more interesting for sure, now that things were set in motion. It was time for her to leave them soon. There was nothing more that she could do aside from aiding to kick-start something that will be just as monumental, all it took was to locate a few people. She smirked at her doings and sat back in the chair that she was lounging upon, legs crossing comfortably, as she closed her eyes in bliss, remembering of the much chaos that she had caused quite a while back. It was like being back in her element, or at least one of it and it was high time as well. The Kagome now could not stand the other Kagome that was all good and no mischief, chaos or even a remote sense of fun, it makes life rather dull for her.

One could say that she has a split personality issue, however who could blame her if they also know that she is the Goddess of Luck have also the power to do bad, a counter to her good side. It happens once in a while, but when she did have the opportunity to, she was out to cause as much mayhem and mischief as she could within the mortal realm deeming that she is just merely doing her job in balancing what was already unbalanced by the other Kagome's own saintly deeds.

Saintly deeds that made this other Kagome itches to cause something more, so much more than just mere pranks, or even minor chaos like bad crops and natural disasters. Now, she wanted to try something bigger, and with the Avengers and the two Asgardian here in Midgard, it presents to her the opportunity that was never there. And much as the saintly Kagome strained and try to withhold her back, she will lose out in the end with the coming of time for this Kagome to take over for this duration of period and cause as much mayhem as she could. Kagome chuckled darkly, a purr in her voice as she made herself more comfortable, her mind running on many other ideas, seeing as to which would be more 'profitable' and more fun for her to watch. It will no doubt be interesting to see how they, the Avengers would band together, but have other ideas in mind against each of them, but of course such manipulation usually would take her longer time than expected and it was time that she has.

Now however, she could just wait and see how things slowly unfold, there was still a lot of time, and she has every intention to make full use of it despite of the time limitation that she has a vague estimate of. She chuckled light heartedly at the thought of all the fun things that were slowly coming together. It was as though she was auditioning and testing her main leads of their patience and limits, their temptations and sins. It was all fun and games now, but when it comes to finding and placing the things in place, that is where the tedious chore comes about. However if she were to want for the whole show to come in perfectly, and that little thing is something that she could afford to spend her time on waiting for the right moment.

Tony did the unexpected as he went to pay their resident God of Mischief a visit, self-inviting himself into his room as he barge onto dangerous grounds. There were more than enough that Loki cannot afford to have any more slip ups, especially when his own godly adoptive father has no more patience for Loki. Their glaring contest never seem to come to an end, however it was Tony that broke the silence with wanting to know about more intimate details pertaining to Kagome. Loki's mind whirled for a moment, contemplating on whether or not to tell, and the current situation he had been placed into at hand. There were many missing elements, however it would have been easily resolved should he still have his powers. Loki was careful in his word phrases and the things that he had let on, most of which were false and often to make sharp barbs or insult the other into provocations. Tony's 'companionship' was short-lived when he turned to leave the room, giving Loki a last remark before leaving him to wallow in his own theories or thoughts.

"A gift to you," Kagome purred with a dark smile upon her lips as she looked into the mirror, a wave of her hand where the mirror rippled like water before calming again to regain the mirrored surface again.

Things were finally in motion and soon she would be able to bask in the chaos that it brings. The though of it brought a smile to her face as Kagome hummed to herself whilst walking down the hall and out of the mansion in which they resides in. There was more mischief to come, and this was only one of what she had in mind. There was so much more to come.

Hello, I'm sorry that it has been too long a time since this has received any updates, and I do know that "hey there are haters out there", well I'm sort of joining your bandwagon for this fan fiction and a few others that I've written. Well, not every story expects to go the way you do. And neither did this turn out how I had expected it to especially when it has diverted off from what I had originally planned for it, so I'm planning on restarting a new story of this pairing with a short and quick ending to the chapters so it will not divert. And being that I hate to leave this alone, I'll just go with whatever weird flow that I had created for this.

For those of you that are still liking the flow of this story, I'm glad for it, at least this fan fiction does not go to waste. And I will continue finishing this story as well. Though I'm sorry if I get some things wrong in the Marvel world regarding about this.
