"Justin, sweetie, I need you to wake up," Alex patted his cheeks nervously. She needed Justin, her Justin, NOW!
"Five more minutes..." He mumbled.
Alex sighed. She took a deep breath and screamed, "I need you!"
He bolted awake, "What?! Emergency!?"
"How do I stop him?" Alex asked quickly.
"I don't know!" He shouted grumpily. Her brother shifted nervously, "And why can't I sleep?"
Alex sighed, "Wait... you can't sleep. And that's what made this thing, right?"
Justin, between being awake and asleep, made a plaintive noise.
"Justin," his eyes flew open, "I need you to trust me, okay? Pretend like we're in your dreams."
"You're not in my dreams..." He snarked, "Well..."
"Well what?" As if on cue, she found herself in a (too flowery) sundress she'd never wear, "Okay, now close your eyes..." she said.
"But I have so much to do...!" He whined. Just then, a dark figure entered the room. Alex's breath hitched; it was the evil clone.
"Sh, sh, sssshhhh... no, no you don't. It's okay. Just go to sleep," She hummed nervously, petting his hair. The clone got closer to her, promising her many dark, and painful things. It spoke directly to her mind, filling it with images she would never really forget.
"But I have-"
"No... you need to rest. You deserve this. Don't worry," She said, as gloved hand encircled her throat, "I'll take care of you."
Justin nodded wearily and lay back down, dozing quietly.
Alex let out a shaky breath. She'd saved him. The hand tightened momentarily, then disappeared.
"It's okay to be happy." She said, stroking his hair, "The world won't fall apart without you, just my world."
The End
