Silently fuming, Annabeth reluctantly allowed Nemesis to drag her away from the…disagreement she had with Percy.

"What were you thinking?" Nemesis growled once they were in the safety of Annabeth's home.

"I was thinking that I could talk to my boyfriend." Annabeth spat. "But his delusional head is only concerned about that brat he calls a daughter."

"Newsflash Annabeth, he hasn't been your boyfriend for a while and that little stunt you just pulled is going to make things much harder now." Nemesis sighed, rubbing the bridge of her nose.

Annabeth frowned. "Then please do tell me, oh great one, how do I fix my relationship?"

"Do I look like Aphrodite to you?" Nemesis snapped. "I don't particularly care about your love life Annabeth, that doesn't exactly concern me."

"Then why are you helping then?" Annabeth shouted defensively.

Nemesis hated the thought of having to once again explain to the girl of her plan. She considered just putting it on a blueprint and giving it to the girl to see if she'd understand it then.

"Because I need to bring balance back. I've told you this before, when Zeus turned you children into Gods it upset the balance." Nemesis stressed. "You may have done wonderfully in the war, and it is not that I am not grateful to you, but you have got to understand that is what was expected of you. You were bred and trained to fight, that is what is installed in you when you arrived at the Camp, and to either come out victorious or die a heroes death. Not become immortal."

"It was only three of us Nemesis- surely it's not that big of a deal- in fact, it was only really two of us since it was already planned for Nico to become immortal and become his fathers heir." Annabeth reminded her smugly.

"For a child of the Great Athena you really are dense. It astounds me how you even managed to get onto the council and I have not been able to manage such a feat. Yes, there is now a child of Hades on the council, but no Hades. There are now six females on the thrones and nine males. There is an odd number- fifteen Olympians! Do you understand now, girl?"

"Of course." Annabeth gasped in realisation. "Why hasn't anybody noticed this before? Hasn't Zeus always thought of odd numbers as unlucky?"

"Yes, exactly, now you are using that intelligence and finally understanding." Nemesis nodded. "Zeus has always been suspicious of things, he was so worried that the human race would evolve to overtake and rebel the Gods so he cut them in half. Now mortals wonder around aimlessly trying to find their soulmate, their other half."

"So what do we do?"

Nemesis smirked, now was the time to put her plan into action. "You and Perseus need to get back together and have a child which can fill the sixteenth seat. Only a child of your combined powers will be strong enough to be recognised and fill the position. The power it will possess will be extraordinary, Zeus won't be able to ignore it and he won't be able to let it go out of his sight." She explained.

"What about the brat? She is viewed as our child in the Olympians eyes, wouldn't they just choose her?" Annabeth reminded her.

"Ah, but she is not a…natural child is she? No matter how magically infested an object or being is it always bows down to the power of nature. Saytrs' don't just admire trees and flowers because of their beauty but because of the power they possess, they want to worship the power hoping that it will make them stronger. You remember the power of Pan, yes? The girl is powerful, there is no denying that, but not as powerful as a natural being. There is also the fact that you don't view her as your daughter. Not recognising her as your daughter puts limitations on her. Do you think Hephaestus would have been able to take position on the throne if Hera had not taken pity on him because she threw him off the cliff? No. If you are the spawn of two immortal beings then you have to be recognised, just like at your camp, to fit in your godly parent has to recognise you and claim you as their own, do they not?" Nemesis explained

"Yes, otherwise you're practically thrown to the side and…forgotten." Annabeth answered the rhetorical question.

"Exactly. And Sophie, she has been thrown to the side, no? You refused to acknowledge her from the start and now she is the Child Of Olympus. While that may be a prestigious title for now, it will soon be forgotten as well as the person who holds it. Even quicker so once you and Percy have a child together."

The two goddesses schemed away the afternoon. Annabeth contently and obliviously following along the older Goddesses plans, not once asking for the extra bits of information like her younger self would have done. Nemesis was just as glad not to share the full details of her plan, after all she was just as much the Goddess of Revenge as she was the Goddess of Balance.

Meanwhile, Sophie was starting to regret asking Hermes to help her with her escape plan. She was foolish to think that Hermes would take her to a far away, unknown place and then leave her alone. Now that she was thinking back on it, the plan did seem rather impulsive - but what else could she do? She had witnessed her father saying that he didn't want her, oh she could just imagine the smug look on Annabeth's face. The dreaded 'I told you so' look. Sophie figured that look must be permanently ingrained in her facial features. Annabeth was the daughter of Wisdom herself - of course she was going to be right!

But back to the current dilemma - Hermes had dropped Sophie off at the worst place imaginable, besides Olympus, Camp Half-Blood. With the promise that he was going to tell her father so that he could pick her up later, Great.

Not only that but he also walked her up to the Big House to see Chiron, and because Chiron now knew that she was there she couldn't sneak out of the camp. Just perfect.

Chiron suggested to her to go outside and get some fresh air, 'just another person that wants to get rid of me' she thought bitterly to herself. She ended up walking to the horses' stables since there was no one there to bother her. When she was in one of her sullen moods she preferred to be alone otherwise she'd get angry and accidentally end up hurting someone's feelings.

Hey little boss! Why do you look so down? Got any apples?

'So much for being alone' Sophie thought angrily to herself but that was when she realised. That voice was no ordinary voice - that was the voice of her fathers pegasus. She turned around slowly to face the majestic black pegasus and a small smirk crawled onto her face.

"Hello again Blackjack." She smiled so it didn't look too suspicious. "Fancy doing me a little favour? Then we'll see about those apples."

On Olympus Percy was starting to panic. He couldn't find Sophie anywhere. Realistically he knew that she couldn't have gone far considering that she was still grounded to Olympus - but deep down he knew his daughter well and he knew that if she really wanted to get out then she would find the resources to do so. However he tried not to think about that as if made him panic even more.

He was already running around like a headless chicken - the logical side of him (and yes he does have one) told him that panicking wasn't going to solve anything. But the panicking side of him overruled everything and he only had one constant thought running around his mind - Sophie's gone.

Just like any other parent he wouldn't calm down until he knew she was safe. He didn't know why but he wanted to blame everything on Annabeth, she probably wasn't anything to do with not being able to find Sophie, he reasoned, but she had messed up their lives. And she was continuing to do so by being a horrible b- er, witch. She could have just tried, where was the harm in that?

Getting majorly desperate Percy resorted to asking every God he passed whether they had seen Sophie, even managing to ask some several times as he ran in circles without realising. 'Another thing to blame Annabeth for - designing a stupid Olympus.' In all of his pettiness though, he couldn't find a real reason to blame Annabeth for and that is what annoyed him most.

His flaw was playing up, this was his best friend that he was trying to hate and it wasn't easy. She had been with him through everything, surely there must be some of the old Annabeth there?

Maybe if he tried talking to her civilly, yes that would work, maybe their friendship could start again. Percy promised to himself that he was going to try and bring out the old Annabeth, his best friend, companion and more importantly the one he still loved.

Hey mi amigos! So I'm sorry for that incredibly short chapter but I figured that you may want me to update some time soon and then this came out haha:) I know there isn't much but the next chapter should set everything into place. However you do get a glimpse of what Nemesis is planning with Annabeth - however you don't get the full story because Nemesis is hiding something ;) Just thought I'd give you that to think over until my next chapter :3 Haha in the next chapter there should hopefully be the reunion of Percy and Sophie. Plus a little secret just for you guys - I have planned something that should hopefully shock you and I hope it does! It will change the story a little bit but hopefully only to help move it along:)
