Dawn didn't believe that she's ever fussed so much over an outfit before this morning. Contest costumes were easy to configure. Finding something to compliment both her body and the performance of her Pokémon had become something of habit, and certainly easier once she learned how to sew and tailor for herself.
But what to dress herself in for a breakfast date with Paul of all people just had her stumped. Frustrated, she tore off another shirt and threw it to the floor. She eyed herself in the mirror, topless with only a pair of grey capris on. Sure with make-up on and hair done she looked more than adequate, but last night? What about her appearance last night would make Paul want a date?
Before she could start thinking about the way water had wept from her hair and how the chill from wet skin make her breakout in goosebumps, there was a knock on the door.
"Hey, we getting breakfast or what?"
Wow, Dawn thought, I can hear the scowl. She knew she was pretty well known for her cunctation, but it wasn't her fault if she was late, he's the one who asked her out. He should have mentioned when to meet him this morning.
"Hold on!" She called back.
She hurried around gathering her shoes, her purse, and anything else she deemed acceptable to bring to a date. As soon as she threw open the door she felt at once that something was wrong.
Paul, from what she knew of him, should have just started walking down the hall as soon as she finally appeared, but instead he stood there… and actually gawked.
"Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining," He started, "but…do you usually go to breakfast without a shirt?"
Horrified, Dawn slammed the door.
