Ultear would forever be indebted to Gray. After her mother, he was the only one who made her realize that she deserved to be happy, truly. He made her remember the woman who gave her birth. And who sacrificed herself for someone else.

And Ultear cried a lot when she realized that the person she was trying to harm constantly was the one who filled warmth in her heart. She thought he would never forgive her. But he did. He forgave her with a smile saying that everyone commits a mistake and he was glad she wasn't living in that hatred filled atmosphere.

They became friends, and Ultear started to respect him even more. Every single action of her savior brought a smile on her face.

But he changed. When Gray's girlfriend Ashley died, the raven haired teen almost forgot what it meant to be happy and smile.

Only Ultear was the one who understood him this close. She always did something to cheer him up when he was upset when he remembered his blonde haired girlfriend.

But still, she couldn't do anything to bring the old Gray back.

But one day, someone came to change Gray's life.

Lucy Heartfilia. Ultear was really grateful to this girl. She became friends with Gray and melted the ice covering his heart with her warm smile.

Ultear was really happy for Gray when he told her that Lucy and he were going to marry.

She was grateful to him and would always be happy that he found his happiness. Even if that meant her feelings to be never ever reciprocated…

She would be there hiding her tears with a smile.
