The first thought in Garmadon's head, as he went to retrieve the sword, was that his brother was such a scaredy-cat. Being outside the monastery wasn't that scary, and nothing bad would happen if he was out there for just a few seconds.

At least, that was what he thought before he felt a sharp stinging pain in his hand as he reached out to grab the katana that was lying on the ground.

~

Wu shifted uneasily. His brother had been gone a very long time... it shouldn't take that long to retrieve a katana... should it?

After five more minutes he went to go alert his father of what happened, not caring if he was punished- he was sure something had happened to his brother, he could feel it.

~

Garmadon was unconscious on the ground when they went outside; he was ill, and needed treatment.

~

But as Wu waited anxiously outside his brother's bedroom, he could tell that something was very, very wrong. He peered inside, quickly hiding again as he glimpsed his brother struggling against their father, and wincing when he heard the words "Leave me alone! I don't need you! I hate you!".

~

Garmadon pushed his father away, sitting up as he narrowed his eyes in anger. If his brother hadn't been too afraid to get the sword himself, none of this would've happened. "Agh! It hurts!" His piercing gaze snapped to the door, where his brother was watching. "It's all Wu's fault!"

~

Wu, now a proper sensei, sighed as he recalled that day's events. It washis fault. If only he hadn't been so afraid...
