Chapter 100

I know that I have been neglecting this story and that the previous 99 chapters are in a script format, and have many continuity errors, both of this I will be changing (slowly but surely) over the coming days (though it may take longer). From now on, the story will be in a story format and I will aim to make no mistakes.

A few hours later Seven and the others have finally finished the cooking, ready for Seven's Aunt to visit that evening, and they are all resting in the living room.

"I want to thank you all once more for assisting with the cooking for tonight, it is appreciated".

"You're welcome Seven, we hope it goes well for you tonight"

"So do I Dexa"

"What's your Aunt like?" asked Neelix.

"I have only known her a short time, but she seems to be a pleasant person and apparently the two of us were close before my parents and I left Earth"

"I remember you said something back on Voyager about her growing Strawberries"

"Yes, that is correct, it is one of the few things from my childhood that has continued into my adult life".

"When is she arriving?"

"At 19:00"

"Oh so you've got a little while then"

"Yes"

"Hey, B'Elanna, how's Tom getting on, I heard that he's gonna be spending the next couple of months familiarising himself with all the shuttles at the Academy before the New Year starts?" asked Neelix.

"Oh he's loving it, he's even trying to get them to let him use the Delta Flyer, and he's trying real hard"

"It is an impressive vehicle"

"We should be going, it's almost the end of the school day, we should go get Brax"

"And I've gotta go get a couple of things before going home"

"Thank you for having us over Seven, tell Chakotay and Icheb we said hi"

"I shall, let me show you out"

A few hours later, it is just before 19:00 and Seven is putting last minute preparations to the table when Chakotay walks into the dining room, having changed out of his uniform after work and asks "She'll be here any minute, are you ready?"

"I believe so, I am only glad that I was not working today and that I had help preparing the food"

"It all looks great by the way, I can't wait to try it"

Then, before Seven could give a response the door bell rang, and after a quick, brief glance at Chakotay, Seven went to answer it and there stood her aunt, Irene Hansen.

"Good evening, please come in"

"Thank you, here, these are for you" said Irene, presenting her niece with a bunch of flowers.

"These are… aesthetically pleasing, I shall put them in water, would you like to follow me?"

Seven then led her aunt into the living room where Chakotay and Icheb were stood, ready to greet her.

"Aunt Irene, you remember Icheb and Chakotay and the two of you remember my Aunt Irene Hansen"

"Of course, may I take your coat Mrs Hansen?" asked Chakotay.

"Yes, please"

"Would you like a drink Aunt Irene?"

"Just water please"

"Icheb, could you put these flowers in water while I get that?"

"Yes"

Moments later, the four of them were sat down in the living room (Seven and Chakotay on the couch and Icheb and Irene each in an armchair) talking about various things.

"If Annika, sorry, Seven is ok with it, I's like to tell a story from when you were little"}

"Go ahead"

"Well, when you were 2, almost 3 you were staying at my house for a few days while your parents were away getting funding and you spent the whole time dancing around my house, you wanted to be a ….."

"…ballerina" finished Seven, "A foolish dream"

"Not to a toddler. So, Icheb, Seven tells me that you got accepted into Starfleet Academy, congratulations"

"Thank you, I am busy preparing to start in the new school year"

"You can never start too early, that's what my father always said, so, what is on the menu for tonight?"

"Seven, went a little overboard" said Chakotay.

"I don't believe I did, the menu is all Swedish and earlier today I had help making it all so it's thanks to them as well. There's a Yellow Split Pea Soup, followed by traditional Swedish Meatballs and for desert it's Ostkaka, served with a Strawberry compote".

"It sounds delish"

"Then, if you'd like to follow Icheb and Chakotay to the dining room, I shall bring in the first course".
