I know it's been a really long time. I'm so sorry. Here is another chapter. Enjoy :)

Jan Di was changing the channel of the television in Joon Pyo's apartment while he was getting the snack and drink for them from the kitchen. He was getting good at living alone like that. He always remembered to do the grocery shopping, at least for meals. He stocked up the snacks, the ramen, and the drinks. He even bought rice and some canned food that Jan Di had taught him to cook. He always acted so proud when he showed her that he could do something independently in his apartment. That was why they usually just hung out around the apartment everyday after Joon Pyo had picked her up from the university.

When Joon Pyo came back to the living area, he put the snacks and the cans of soda on the table before throwing himself on the couch beside Jan Di. He opened the cans for himself and her. She accepted the soda and sipped it slightly before putting the can back on the table. Her attention was back to the television, searching for something to watch. Finally, she just settled fo some historical drama before turning to her fiance.

"So, remember when I told you about your mother invited me to a charity gala?" she started the conversation, watching her fiance munched on the chips that he had brought from the kitchen. She took the chips bag from him and got some for herself.

Joon Pyo nodded his head while he was still chewing. He took back the bag from Jan Di to get some chips before stuffing his mouth. For some time, they were just sitting there, sharing a bag of chips.

"Your mother told me to choose a wedding organizer for our wedding. Don't you think that this is too early to talk about that?" Jan Di asked, getting back to the conversation. She sipped her soda a little before eating the chips again. Joon Pyo did the same before turning to look at her seriously.

"To be honest, no," he said simply.

"What? You don't think it's too early?" Jan Di asked quickly, looking shocked. Joon Pyo shrugged.

"Look, we agreed on March or April wedding. And it's already October. I don't really know about wedding, but I think that there are too many things that need to be prepared. And I heard they took time," he said before eating the chips again. Jan Di frowned.

"I just want a simple wedding," she said, pouting. She leaned her head on his shoulder.

"Don't you have some special wedding dream that you want?" he asked with teasing voice. He threw his arm around her shoulder and enveloped her body in embrace. She snuggled up into him.

"Not really. You know me. I'm not someone who's gooey romantic. I never pictured my wedding in details," she admitted before continuing stuffing her mouth with the chips. The bag of chips now was nestled between them.

"Can you picture us in a wedding?" Joon Pyo asked curiously. "I mean, have you ever pictured us getting married?" he added to clarify.

"Of course," Jan Di answered without hesitation. "But, not the detail of the wedding though," she added.

"What did you see?" he asked again curiously. Jan Di smiled and turned up her face to look at him.

"Well, I didn't imagine where we will marry or what kind of flowers there. I just saw an arch with flowers around it at the end of the aisle. You stood under the arch, waiting for me. That's it," she said so cutely. That made Joon Pyo smile and leaned down to peck her lips. "What about you?" she asked back. He shrugged.

"I don't know. I never imagined what kind of wedding we have. As long as you're the one who will walk on the aisle toward me, I'm fine with anything," he answered before leaning to kiss her again. After they were both breathless from the kiss, Jan Di finally looked at him with mischievous smile on her face.

"Should we just elope?" she asked jokingly. Joon Pyo laughed hearing that.

"I think if we do that, not only my mother will be pissed at us. Your parents and my father will murder us too," he said between his laugh. Jan Di pouted, but there was still smile line around her eyes. She snuggled up closer to him. Joon Pyo tightened his arms around her. "You know. To be honest, I don't really care about the wedding," he said softly.

"Really?" Jan Di asked instantly, looking up to him. Joon Pyo stared at her eyes before nodding his head.

"All I want is to be married to you. I don't care how or where. I just want to marry you," he said truthfully. "I just want to build a family together with you," he added, nuzzling her neck with his nose. Jan Di smiled and kissed his head.

"Have you ever imagined what kind of life we're gonna have after the wedding?" she asked curiously.

"Of course," he answered with his nose and lips wre still in her neck.

"Really?" Jan Di asked with disbelief tone. "Tell me," she demanded. Joon Pyo raised his head fron her neck, so he could see her eyes directly.

"I told you how I imagined you lived here with me when I was choosing this apartment. I wasn't kidding. I really imagined how our life would be when we lived here," he explained. "After we have our honeymoon, we'll come back home here. This apartment is close to my office and also Yoonbyeong. You still want to do your internship there, right?" he asked which was answered by nod from Jan Di. "So, this apartment will make efficiency for our time."

"Do you really plan to live here? What about your house? Won't your parents want you to live there?" she asked curiously, snuggling closer to him.

"I don't know," he said, sighing. "I guess they kinda hope for me to inherit the house, but I just don't want our children to grow up in the mansion," he admitted. That statement made Jan Di looked up to him.

"You've thought about children?" she asked in disbelief.

"Well, yeah. Don't you want to have children?" he asked back.

"Not right away," Jan Di answered truthfully. "I think I want to finish my internship first before trying for children," she explained.

"Yes, I agree. That's why I bought this apartment. We can live here while you do your internship. After you finish, we can try to have children. After our daughter's born, we can try to find a house or back to the mansion," he said. Jan Di giggled hearing his words.

"You said our daughter. You realize that the child can be a son too, don't you?" she asked teasingly. Joon Pyo pouted.

"I think I want a daughter first," he mumbled.

"Why?" Jan Di asked still teasingly.

"I don't know. It just feels like that our daughter will be brave and strong woman if she's born first. Like you or noona. Both of you are strong and independent women. Don't you think so?" he asked again, nuzzling her neck. Jan Di smiled imagining his words.

"I think that's true. Well, maybe we'll just let the fate decide what we will have for our first child," she said. "You said that you don't want our children to grow up in the mansion. Why?" she asked after recalling his earlier statement. Joon Pyo shrugged.

"I don't want our children to grow up like me. I don't want them to be spoiled," he answered frowning.

"You know, being spoiled is not about where you live but how you're raised. I don't think I will spoil our children," Jan Di said.

"I know. That's why I said that maybe back to the mansion could be one of our options," Joon Pyo said. "I know that as long as you're here with me, we can raise our children to be better people," he added.

He put his hand on Jan Di's chin to turn her face towards him. He leaned down to kiss her on the lips. Jan Di responded the kiss readily. She slipped her right hand into Joon Pyo's hair to bring him closer while her left hand gripped his shirt. Joon Pyo's right hand caressed her cheek while his right hand was on her waist, travelling to her spine. After a while, they finally became breathless. Joon Pyo stared at her eyes.

"I love you," he said gently. That made Jan Di smiled.

"Love you too," she answered, nuzzling her face into his neck. Suddenly, she remembered something elese. She looked up at him. "Hey, do you know that the university anniversary is some time around next week?" she asked. "They held some kind of party where the students can come and dance."

"Oh yeah. I forgot. Do you want to come with me?" Joon Pyo asked back.

"Come with you?" Jan Di asked back. "No. You come with me. You see, I usually didn't go to the dance because you weren't here, but for this year Eun Jae asked me to come. So, will you come with me?"

"No. You come with me," Joon Pyo insisted. Jan Di frowned.

"What's the difference?" she asked, looking confused.

"They invited me as the CEO of Shinhwa. I want you to come with me as my fiancee," Joon Pyo stated clearly. Undestanding finally came to Jan Di.

"Ahhh.. So, you want me to come to the dance not as a student of Shinhwa, but as your date?" she asked for clarification.

"Yup," Joon Pyo answered, popping the 'p'. "What do you think?" Jan Di shrugged.

"I don't have a choice, do I?" she asked. Joon Pyo shook his head.

"Nope. Not really."

"Fine, then." Jan Di sighed, shrugging her shoulders.

Jan Di cursed herself when she emerged from her house. She should've known Joon Pyo better. There he was, standing beside a limousine in a black and grey tuxedo. She should've known that her fiance would come with a limousine. She should've been prepared, but that still made her mad nonetheless. She walked towards Joon Pyo and glared at him. Joon Pyo was smart enough not to make a joke at her, but stupid enough to ask.

"What now? Why are you glaring at me this time?" he asked. He was used to be glared at by Jan Di. He just needed to know why this time.

"Limousine!" Jan Di said the word in disgust as if the limousine was some kind of ugly sweater that Joon Pyo decided to wear to the dance. Joon Pyo grimaced before sighing.

"Jan Di, I'm coming as the CEO of Shinhwa. They expected me to come with a limousine!" he argued. "Now, please get inside, so we can leave. We don't want to be late, do we?" he asked, trying to sound sweet. Jan Di huffed, but she got inside the limousine. After Joon Pyo instructed the driver, she turned to him with the glare still on her face.

"What is the connection between being a CEO and limousine?" she demanded. Joon Pyo sighed.

"We've talked about this before so many times. Sometimes people expect me to show up as a regal heir of Shinhwa. That means that I have to act with best mannerism, I have to wear best clothes, and I have to use best cars," he answered patiently. "I know that you don't really like the luxury, but you have to understand. I have to show the best image because I represent Shinhwa." He stared at Jan Di, who still looked thoughtful. He sighed again. "It's just like your wearing Shinhwa necklace. It's not about the beauty of the necklace, but more about what it represents. By wearing the necklace, it shows that you are a part of Shinhwa family," he added. Jan Di sighed.

"I see," she mumbled. Joon Pyo took her hand and enveloped it with both of his hands. However, before he could speak another word, her phone rang from her purse. Jan Di took the phone out and saw Eun Jae's face flashing on the screen.

"Yes, Eun Jae?" Jan Di greeted calmly.

"Jan Di.. You're still coming to the dance, right?" Eun Jae asked over the phone.

"Yeah, sure. I'm on my way with Joon Pyo," Jan Di answered readily. "Are you there yet?"

"Not yet. I'm still waiting for Ji Hoo to pick me up," Eun Jae answered. "I'm just so nervous. I didn't go last year. Now I have to go with Ji Hoo. I don't know what their reactions will be." Eun Jae's voice actually sounded tensed.

"Don't worry. They won't say anything. And if they do, just ignore them. I'll be there with you." Jan Di was trying to calm her friend down.

"Thanks, Jan Di," Eun Jae replied sincerely. "Oh, that's Ji Hoo. See you there?"

"Of course. Bye, Eun Jae." Jan Di ended the phone call. She turned her head to look at Joon Pyo and fund him watching her.

"What did Eun Jae say?" he asked curiously.

"She's nervous about the gossips," Jan Di informed him.

"They'll be fine," Joon Pyo answered calmly.

The cars were lining up in front of the assembly hall where the party was being held. The limousine finally reached the drop off area and some security had been ready to open the doors for Joon Pyo and Jan Di. Flashes of cameras welcomed them the moment they got out of the car. Joon Pyo walked towards Jan Di's side and stood beside her immediately. Some university's staffs bowed down to them while they entered the hall. Jan Di and Joon Pyo just nodded their heads with smile on their faces, just like usual.

They were being led to the VVIP area where the university's head greeted them politely. Jan Di felt a little out of place because she was still the student of the university. She was really hoping that they would be free to mingle with other students once Joon Pyo finished his speech. Jan Di looked around the hall to find Eun Jae and Ji Hoo. Somehow, she felt that they were her own comfort too the same way she was Eun Jae's comfort. She caught some stares from her friends. She just smiled and nodded her head in recognition. Her smile became real when she finally saw Eun Jae and Ji Hoo entered the hall.

"Jan Di!" Eun Jae exclaimed when she saw her friend. She dragged Ji Hoo by his arm towards Jan Di and Joon Pyo. "Hello, oppa," she greeted Joon Pyo cheerily. Joon Pyo nodded his head and snorted.

"You're far too cheerful," he commented warily.

"She's too nervous," Ji Hoo answered which earned him a glare from Eun Jae.

"I am not," she said with firm voice. That made the others laugh at her. Ji Hoo smirked at her, making Eun Jae glared at him some more.

"You don't seem to be busy,"Ji Hoo commented. "I thought you'd be swamped by those faculty members," he added snarkily. Joon Pyo snorted.

"I think they 'd try if Jan Di wasn't with me. They tend to be more careful in front of students, especially after the Choi Seong Jeo incident," he answered with hushed voice. Ji Hoo smirked.

"Of course, they do," he commented sarcastically. Then he turned to Eun Jae. "That's why I will never be able to get along with the faculty members. Most of them are never genuine," he added, making Jan Di and Eun Jae look thoughtful.

"So, in other words, I'm like your personal shield?" Jan Di asked Joon Pyo thoughtfully. Joon Pyo grinned at her.

"Yes, of course," he replied cheekily. Jan Di scoffed.

"Whoa.. you really are something!" Jan Di said sarcastically with a glare. That made Eun Jae and Ji Hoo chuckled, seeing the couple.

They talked among themselves for some time. Many people stared at their group but never tried to interrupt their conversation. Their conversation was finally disturbed when the dean approached them. He bowed respectfully to Joon Pyo before nodding his head to Jan Di, Ji Hoo, and Eun Jae. He was there to ask Joon Pyo to make the openning speech for the event.

Joon Pyo sighed, squeezed Jan Di's hand that he was holding before walking toward the stage. The spotlight followed his footsteps and all eyes were on him. Joon Pyo managed to look charismatic. He thanked all the people who attended the event. He also thanked all the staff and the professors who managed to make Shinhwa University as one of the best university in the country.

Jan Di watched her fiancé with a proud smile on her face. Eun Jae still looked awe at Joon Pyo while Ji Hoo just smirked.

"I can't believe that the man who's standing on the stage is the same man who whined because you hit him, Jan Di," Eun Jae commented. Jan Di and Ji Hoo chuckled hearing it.

"That's the skill you have to have when you're famous. You have to have a great public image. But, the most important thing is you still have people whom you can show your real one," Ji Hoo told the girls with hush voice.

"But you don't have one, oppa," Jan Di commented. "Your public image and your real one are the same," she said thoughtfully.

Before Ji Hoo could say anything to that, Eun Jae chided. "That's not true." Jan Di and Ji Hoo looked at her with shocked expression.

"What do you mean, Eun Jae?" Jan Di asked curiously while Ji Hoo stared at Eun Jae with narrowed eyes.

"The real Ji Hoo isn't as cool as the public one," Eun Jae answered, smirking at Ji Hoo. Jan Di chuckled while Ji Hoo scowled at his girlfriend. He pinched Eun Jae's both cheeks.

"You're gonna pay for that," he threatened with a grin on his face. Eun Jae pouted while Jan Di laughed seeing their antics. Joon Pyo came and joined them when Eun Jae rubbed her cheeks after Ji Hoo pinched them.

"What did I miss?" he asked, looking amused at Eun Jae's red cheeks. He then turned his head to Jan Di and raised his eyebrows in question. Jan Di explained what Eun Jae had said about Ji Hoo to Joon Pyo. Then, he hummed, nodded his head, while looking thoughtful. "Now that I think about it, Eun Jae is kinda right," he said with amused expression, smirking at Ji Hoo.

"Yah!" protested Ji Hoo while the girls giggled seeing both of them. Suddenly the music started to play and the light was dimmed.

"Time to dance," whispered Joon Pyo, tugging Jan Di to follow him to the dance floor. He pulled Jan Di closer to him. They danced in silence, enjoying the music, while looking at each other with soft smiles on their faces. Then Joon Pyo's smile turned to grin. "I think it's the first time I dance with you like this," he commented. Jan Di thought about that for a second.

"Hmm.. yeah, I think you're right. Since you didn't come to my graduation and then you left me to go to New York, we didn't have many opportunities to come to a dance party like this," Jan Di said with innocent expression. Joon Pyo narrowed his eyes.

"Yah, you made it sound like I neglected you," he protested. "I planned a special surprise on your graduation night, didn't I? That was more interesting than a boring dance party like this." Jan Di pouted.

"If you say so," she said before smirking. Joon Pyo scoffed and pulling her closer to his body. He moved one of his hand to the back of Jan Di's head to bring her head closer. Then he kissed her forehead before placing his cheek on the crown of her head.

"Yah, aren't you too comfortable?" commented Ji Hoo who danced with Eun Jae not too far from them. Eun Jae giggled. Joon Pyo just rolled his eyes in response while Jan Di blushed. They danced for a while. They even exchanged their partner, so Ji Hoo danced with Jan Di while Joon Pyo danced with Eun Jae.

After they were tired dancing, they walked towards the beverage table. Some the university members and professors greeted them along the way. They were directed to the VVIP section by one of the staffs. Joon Pyo got a special table because of his position in Shinhwa and that was where they were placed. A waiter came to their table to give them some beverage. They chatted among themselves while some staffs came to greet Joon Pyo and Ji Hoo.

After some time, the dean came with an elderly couple. He bowed to Joon Pyo first before he introduced the couple. Joon Pyo stood up to greet the couple politely.

"Goo Joon Pyo-sajangnim, this is the former dean, Kang Jung Sik-ssi, and his wife. Kang Jung Sik-ssi, this is the CEO and heir of Shinhwa, Goo Joon Pyo-sajangnim," the dean introduced them.

"Ah yes. I've heard about you when I was still the dean. Nice to meet you, Goo Joon Pyo-sajangnim," Kang Jung Sik bowed politely. "And this is my wife," he added.

Joon Pyo bowed in greeting. "Nice to meet you too, Sir, Madam," Joon Pyo replied politely. "And this is my fiancée, Geum Jan Di and our friends, Yoon Ji Hoo and Han Eun Jae," he added to introduce the others. They exchanged the greetings.

"Congratulation for the engagement, Goo Joon Pyo-sajangnim, Miss Geum Jan Di," Kang Jung Sik said.

"Thank you, Sir," Joon Pyo answered while Jan Di nodded and smiled. Kang Jung Sik smiled back and turned to Ji Hoo.

"And of course, I know your grandfather," he said to Ji Hoo. "How is he? Is his health still good?"

"Yes, he's still in good health, Sir. Thank you," Ji Hoo answered smiling.

"Good. That's very good," Kang Jung Sik said, nodding his head. Then they exchanged some more small talk before the dean and the couple excused themselves. After they were gone, the young couples sat and chatted among themselves back.

"Do you think that he really knows your grandfather?" Eun Jae asked curiously to Ji Hoo. Ji Hoo shrugged his shoulders.

"No idea," he replied. "But I'm used to older people said that they knew my grandfather when I introduced myself. I never know whether they really know my grandfather or not," he added nonchalantly.

"That's one of the proofs that in this kind of crowd, connection is everything," Joon Pyo commented. That made the others nodded their heads in agreement.

"That's why it's easier for you guys to just stay in your circle, huh?" Eun Jae guessed. "Just among yourselves?"

Ji Hoo and Joon Pyo stared at each other while thinking about Eun Jae's comment.

"In some circumstances, yeah, that's true. For me, that's because I don't really like meeting new people," Ji Hoo explained. "But for Joon Pyo, I think it's because he doesn't really need to 'kissing up' to other people. People usually already know him before he's introduced," Ji Hoo added, raising his eyebrows to Joon Pyo.

"I guess," Joon Pyo answered, shrugging his shoulders. Joon Pyo sighed. "I hate this kind of event," he mumbled, rubbing his face with his palms. Ji Hoo smiled in sympathy while Jan Di rubbed the back of Joon Pyo's head.

"Can we get out of here?" Jan Di asked softly. That made Joon Pyo stood up instantly.

"Come on, let's go!" he said pulling Jan Di's hand immediately.
