Epilogue:
Bella turned out to be really pregnant and they soon found out that it was a girl. They all worked on the baby's room to make it just the way Bella wanted it and everyone was happy for them and the happiness that just entered their family.
Elijah worked hard on a book he wanted to publish about his love for Bella. He used his journals as a basis and he was planning on surprising Bella with it on their wedding anniversary. He wanted it to be perfect, an eternal declaration of his love for her that people would be able to read through time and history.
When Niklaus finally met Caroline, a "chance encounter" organised by Bella of course, he imprinted immediately and knew what Bella meant when she said it would all be worth it. After talking about everything with Caroline, they both decided she would stay human with him until she reached her 24th birthday with him, then she would be changed into an original vampire by the same process Bella would be using later.
A few years later, Caroline ended up pregnant too and she gave birth to a happy baby boy.
Elena and Damon were happy together and when she turned 23 years old, she surprised him by asking him to change her. He was happy and felt honoured about it and did it, giving her an engagement Lapis Lazuli ring that had been spelled by Rebekah.
Jeremy and Bonnie stayed together, even if they broke up a couple of times. They lived long happy human lives, just like Jenna and Alaric did. They all had children and their vampire friends watched over them and their heirs.
After the birth of their daughter, Elijah took Bella and their bundle of joy to a world tour. He wanted to show her the world and all the places where he had bought a house or an apartment for her.
Eventually, they came across the Cullen family and even though Edward had a hard time taking the news, Bella was able to get close to everyone else. She found out that Alice and Emmett had been told that she'd have to go back to Elijah from the beginning and, when Edward broke up, they made it easier by leaving as well, knowing they be able to spend time with her again later. They'd have forever to get to know each other.
Carlisle was grateful that Bella was the one who put Elijah on his way, apparently, it had helped him a lot and they were on the way to becoming life long friends.
Bella asked Rebekah if she could do a spell to help Edward find love and her sister in law informed her that he had already met her but refused to recognize her for who she was. Intrigued, Edward decided to leave the family for a while in order to visit everyone he knew, starting with the humans that were still alive and ending with the single vampire females he had crossed path with over time. It would take a while, but he'd find who it was eventually.
Bella asked Emmett if he wanted help finding love but the big Cold One refused, he'd find love when he was supposed to, and in the mean time, he was perfectly fine having fun and one night stands with other eternal creatures he ran in from tie to time.
Elijah and Bella's daughter, Hope, grew up with her grandmother's powers and decided that she wanted to be a vampire. Rebekah turned her, making her another Vampire witch hybrid. As it turned out, she was Emmett's soul mate and they were both extremely happy together. They shared their time between the Cullen Coven and the Mickealson family, sometimes living with one, sometimes with the other, sometimes on their own.
Klaus and Caroline's son, Ethan, ended up imprinting on Leah Clearwater, from La Push, and they both decided to keep on shifting for some time. Later, when they felt ready, they'd stop and have a family, grow old and, eventually, die of old age knowing that their family would be safe and watched over by their friends and family.
Elijah's book to Bella was a big success, especially since he decided to never show himself out to the public. The wildest rumors ran about the author of his book and it amused him.
Bella seemed born to be an immortal. Being a vampire only made her more of who she was, she spent a lot of time helping people and she still spent time with all of her friends and family.
Sometimes, Elijah thought back to the thousand years he spent alone, suffering, but it wasn't painful to think about it anymore, it was just a reminder that he had deserved his eternal happiness with his lovely wife Bella.
