Hi everyone! My last story, the 54th Hunger Games, was caught up in the whole critics united thing, and taken down. This new story, based off of the same Games, is NOT one of those stories where people put in their own characters, so it shouldn't be taken down. :)

This is a made-up Hunger Games based off of Suzanne Collins's books. I am NOT Suzanne Collins and I will not take ownership of her novels. This list of tributes is just a reference tool for readers and myself to look back on tributes, their ages, and their districts. Thanks!

Iyzebel Grinn anxiously paced at the door to President Snow's rose garden. He had called her up to look at the list of tributes.

This year was important for the young Head Gamemaker, because she was newly appointed to her job. If all went well, she'd be paid extravagant sums of money and be a celebrity in the capitol. If not...she'd have big things to worry about.

As she turned on her heel for the hundredth time, the one-sided glass door slid slowly open and hit her with a blast of warm air that felt much different than the icy cold, bitter air of the hallway.

Iyzebel entered right away.

Snow was smelling a vibrant bush of white roses when he turned to see Iyzebel approaching. He smiled at the young woman.

"Did you bring the list?"

"Of course, President Snow."

She handed over a blood red envelope that was tightly sealed with wax to the president. His pale skin smelled sickly sweet as it brushed against hers.

Snow gently placed a rose in his breast pocket as he skimmed over the list of selected tributes:

President Snow coughed when he was done, and looked at Grinn out of the corner of his eye. His lip curled up as he handed back the opened envelope.

"The year looks promising. I look forward to seeing the fear these Games instill in the Districts. May the odds be ever in your favor, Iyzebel."

She nodded and bowed slightly. The door reopened and she exited as quickly as she had entered.

Let the Games begin.
