AN: Hey all. I know it has been forever and I am sorry. Life got super hectic this summer. Not to mention that my muse decided that cliff diving head first, was a great thing. While waiting for her to come back with all of my ideas, I was stuck. That is a flowery way of saying I had writer's block. Anyway I am back hopefully for a while now. I hope you like the chapter let me know what you think.

Chapter 35 Love, Light, and Laughter

Godric's Point of View

I pick Hunter up and hold him to my chest. I had not realized how much I had missed the boy. "I missed you too, Mr. Godric. Your head is different and you're not cold." He says in awe.

"You are right, I am different. I have much to tell you and Sookie." At this I look for my love. She is in the water with her cousin. He is shielding her. I can tell by the look on his face he is confused. "Surely you have healed her by now. Why is she in the waters?" I question.

"She collapsed to the ground once again expelling her light." He said cautiously.

"Bring her to me. I will heal her."

"How? How can you do that? How are you here? How are you not ash?"

"I will explain it, to all of you once I have healed her. Bring her to me now." He is hesitant but he lifts her from the waters. I set Hunter back on his feet and take Sookie from her cousin's arms. I cradle her to my chest and kiss her forehead. My light envelops us. Soon her own light bursts forth. They mingle with each other. I can feel her awakening. Her eyes flutter open and she smiles at me. "Hello ma petite."

"Hi, what took you so long?" I tried not to laugh at her question.

"I am sorry Sookie, it was not my intention to make you wait. Now I think we should go home." The smile on her face brightens.

"Yeah, let's go home."

Eric's Point of View

When the sun sat I did not move. My heart felt as though it was ripped from my chest. I could no longer feel my maker, and with Sookie gone I felt as though my world had ended. There was no reason for me to leave the bed. As my grief threatened to consume me, I did not notice the glimmering light in the corner of the room. Nor did I notice my grandsire's worried smile.

"Viking do not despair. They will all be returning to you." She said.

I sat blot up right at the intrusion ready to fight, until I saw who it was. "How can you say that, when it is your own progeny that is gone? He is dead, I cannot feel him." I cannot believe her, how can she be so heartless.

"He is not gone, although you are right that he no longer your maker or my progeny. He has ascended."

"What that FUCK does that me? Can you for once just say what you mean?" I throw myself back onto the bed.

"Godric is now a god. He is the son of light. He went to retrieve your mate and the boy. They will be back shortly. You need to get up and stop moping."

"How is he a god? How can he get them they are in Feary, there is no way in if you are not one of them." I shout at her.

"My silly Viking, you still only listen to the parts you want to hear. He is the son of light he can go anywhere he dame well pleases. Now as you maker's maker I command you to get up, there is work to be done." Against my will my body rises from the bed. "Put some clothes on while you are at it. I may not be able to see but I know you are naked as the day you were born. We have things to do. I will be waiting for you down stairs." She sweeps from the room, her gown flowing behind her.

With no other choice, I get dressed for the evening. I can only hope she is telling the truth. When I find her in kitchen, I can't help but wonder what she is doing.

"I am trying to get this contraption to work." She gestures to the microwave. "I thought a warm meal would help settle you, however I am struggling to make it go. Don't look so surprised, I have used the modern cooking appliances." I have to stifle my laughter. The great oracle can't use a microwave. I have another thought hit me. My maker is gone and I will never see him again. He would have found this hysterical. "Laughter is good for you, but I would prefer it was not at my expense. Since you are here you can do this yourself." She says handing me the cold bag of blood. I put it into the microwave and let it heat. "I promise you Viking, they will be back soon. You need to have faith."

"So you say but I find it hard to believe you when I can't feel them. I felt his connection to be break how is that even possible?"

"As I have already told you he ascended. He was given a choice to save them and he took it. He know what you would both be losing if you did not have them. You also know how much he has longed to retrieve her. I am aware that you don't remember her as you ought to but that will all be fixed."

"If they are coming what is taking so long?"

"Well, I imagine it takes time to open your own portals." She answers with a smirk. I want to ask her what she means but the timer on the microwave beeps. I take out the blood and drink. I as swallow the last of it a flash of light erupts in the back yard. I race to out to seem what it is.

Sookie's Point of View

Godric sets me on my feet but does not let me go. Not that I want him to. I feel like it has been forever since I saw him last. I suppose in a way it has. I am brought from my thoughts by a very indigent Niall.

"You will not be going anywhere. This is your home. I did not go to all of that work, for you just to leave. Vampire release her and leave."

"You stupid fairy. You don't know what you are saying. Has a vampire ever been able to set foot in Feary? No. I am no more a vampire then you are in charge of this situation. We are leaving and if you try to stop us, you will learn what exactly I am." Godric hisses at Niall.

"If you put one foot through that portal, I will strike you down where you stand."

"So be it. Ma petite, I sorry but you are going to lose a family member today." Godric looks into my eyes truly sorry.

"He is not my family, he is my jailer. Family does not take your memories from you, they do not force marriage on you, to one you do not love." I touch his face.

"Hunter close your eyes you do not need to see this." He looks to Hunter. Hunter rushes to me and covers his face with my dress. "This is your last chance fairy let us leave."

"No you will not be taking them anywhere. I will fight you for them." Niall snarls. I had never seen his face look so truly terrifying. He rushes for Godric with his hands sparking. Godric laughs. I don't know why he is laughing. Suddenly he is in front of Niall. He grabs Niall's hands and squeezes. All of the energy in Niall's hands explodes. I scream as it hits Godric in the arms. He should be burnt or as the very least moved, but nothing. The light absorbs into his skin. He laughs. The look of shook on Niall's face is startling. How can this be?

"Nothing you do will hurt me, you fool. I am light, I am the son of light. For your stupidity, I am taking what means the most to you. Your light, you will be nothing but an old man. No healing water will restore you. You will die as a human and never make it to the Summerlands." Godric puts his hands on Niall's face. I watch in awe as everything that makes him fairy leaves him. "This is your punishment. If you try to come after us again, I will not hesitate to strike you down. You will never be reborn and you will wait in purgatory for eternity." Niall falls to the ground shaking. Godric closes his eyes and holds out his hands. Another archway appears. Godric picks Niall up and throws him through. He disappears into the light. As soon as he is gone, the archway leaves with him. Godric turns to Claude. "Claude I no longer need you to teach Sookie, however, I know she will feel your absence if you do not come and visit us. I am sure you and your family will be busy for a while, but do not forget to call."

Claude still to stunned to say anything, just nods his head. Hunter lifts his face from my dress and asks "Can we go home now?"

"Of course baby." I lift him into my arms. Godric smiles and waves a hand. Another archway appears.

"After you Ma Petite." He gestures to the archway. I step into the light. For a second it feels like we are floating in water and then as suddenly as the feeling comes it leaves. I take another step and I am standing in Eric's back yard. Eric comes running from inside. He stops when he sees me. It is like he has never seen me before. A second later Godric follows me out. Eric rushes to him.

"I felt you die. How are you here?" He asks in wonder.

"After all that I told you, you still refuse to believe what I said?" A voice asks from the doorway.

"I guess in a way, a part of me did die, but I came back stronger and better than before." Godric turns to look at the old woman. "You know just as well as I do how stubborn he can be." He chuckles. "Eric I am no longer your maker, but I am me." He places his hand on the side of Eric's face. His palm starts to glow. A look of wonder and then understanding flows over Eric's face. "Do you understand now my friend?"

Eric nods his head in awe. After a few seconds his eyes move to me. I can see when it hits him, he smiles and rushes to me.

"Lover I have missed you more than even I knew."

"I missed you two but why did you look at me like that? It was like you didn't know me. What did you mean you thought he died?" I asked confused.

"I lost who I was while you were gone, then I felt my connection to my maker break. I died for the day think he was gone forever. I rose this evening planning to waste away. If it was not for Pythia, I would still be wallowing in my bed." He explained.

"How and who is she?" I reply looking to old woman. Now that I am looking at her I can tell she is a vampire.

"How what?"

"How did you lose yourself?"

"Fucking witches." He smirked like that explained it all. I guess I will let it slide for now.

"And her?"

"She was my maker. Now I suppose, she is only his grandsire. I am not longer connected to either of them by blood." Godric interrupts. I shake my head still confused. I am about to ask another question when Hunter's stomach growls. "On that note my dear let's go inside and get us all something to eat. I will explain more later.
