Taking me away from my home didn't make me better. It didn't make the world safer, no it just made me understand that the world was never going to except people like me. 'Enhanced' was the politically correct term they used, I still wonder if I could sue for discrimination? Nah, probably not. But here I am day—lost count, though I know it's now 2012? Maybe their not big on telling me dates in SHIELD central. And getting out whenever I can I mostly look for places to hide and not what day it is. Anyway off track, I was born to your standard—okay abusive in both mental and physical family. My mom was okay—though had no idea how to keep the husband that hated me, or keep a crumbling family together. Nope it didn't work out and I was left at my Oma's house when they went to a party still keeping up their facades. Leaving adorable little six year old me clutching onto my Oma's leg tears and snot running down my chubby cheeks...They never came back. Anyways enough with the sob stories, I've messed up a lot, and SHIELD has placed me into base after base after base, training me but not trusting me. It's fun, no really I get a real kick out of the guns pointed at me and the one eyed glares from Fury...But anyway I'm getting sidetracked let's just start from the weird beginning.

"The Tesseract has awakened." I jolted in surprise, the voice filling my head echoing. I shake my head and look around all I can make out is the dark vast area of space speckled with distant stars. I'm on a platform, in my SHIELD issued blue pajamas and loose fitting tank top. My hair a tangled mess, I shiver at how cold it feels. The stone against my feet freezing, though I have no idea where I am and no real thought at all of what to do, I follow the voice.
"It is on a little world, a human world." There is disgust in his voice, humans sounds the worst as if we were insects. I follow the lighted pathway though managing to stub my toes on the uneven rock formations.
"Shit." I hiss as I hit a sharp point, the edge cutting into the flesh. I ground my teeth together to stop any more noise. Whoever this was, was not friendly and I doubted they would take kindly to a human hearing this. The voice sounded from above and upon follow the lights trail I reached the stairs.
"They would wield its power." I slip up the steps hands running along the rough rocky surface. I keep lowered to the ground so that if the section of rock were to cut off I wouldn't surprise, or better yet be surprised.
"But our ally knows its workings as they never will." Ally? Not good, or better yet maybe this is all some weird reaction to those tranquilizers. I get to the top of the stairs and there I see it, cloaked in blue and black kneeling before what looked like a lit alter. Hands splayed at its sides, it looks humanoid but the voice speaks of a whole other race.
"He is ready to lead and our force, our Chitauri, will follow." Chi—what? My brows furrow together in complete confusion. I'm high, yeah that's the most logical explanation for this right?
"The world then the universe will be yours, and the humans what can they do-" I watch silent only to have a panic attack as the creature turns looking right to where I hide tucked into the rock and shadows.

"But burn?"
I jerk up my chest heaving as the dream slowly fades though my sweat

drenched body is indication enough. It was enough to freak my body out, I pant hand groping blindly in the dark for the lamp beside my cot. Finally finding it, I groan as the light burns my eyes.
"Shit, not the smartest idea you've had Cam." I mumble rubbing at them, and blinking almost drunkenly as the room comes into focus.

"All personnel evacuation order has been confirmed." I look up at the intercom annoyed.
"Really I just got here."
"Up and at 'em." Agent...whatever and who is it come in. Both dressed in SHIELD suits and buzz cuts to match. These two were new and like all the others I would get past them somehow and with this little...development my get away could work out well tonight. I knew from the bases location we were in the desert. Though bases like this were meant more for weapons training and testing. Not keeping someone-better yet something like me locked up. I stand and as usual they move to cuff me but I hold up my hands and smile a sickly sweet one.

"Aw please it's an evacuation what if I need my hands?" I question, these two were not the smartest hesitating on cuffing me, which was all I needed. Lashing out to hit the big one first my fist collided solidly with his jaw sending him back to hit the wall. He wouldn't be knocked out just...out of commission long enough I could take his buddy. Who got out a gun—Not smart. I slid to the outside of his arm slipping in close so that our noses touch ,with a smirk I dislocate his shoulder. Gun drops, I grab. Leaving those two behind I slip through the chaos of the base I stopped though hissing in pain glancing down I realized...My big toe had a gash in it.

"It's nothing." I mumble ignoring the pain to keep moving. Something was up but I didn't want to stick around to find out. Oh no I wanted a getaway vehicle and I knew from schematics that those were a few floors down. I grabbed a jacket to throw over the tank top and mixed myself in with the agents. Most were actually scientists and looked pretty panicked.

"What can they do but burn?" I shook my head of those thoughts, the dream was nothing just my brain on drugs. The alarms kept ringing out and without shoes, this was not going to be a fun run. I bumped into people all who headed in the opposite direction. Passing some observation windows to the outside I noticed a chopper landing.

"Wow it's bad enough Fury's here...Well glad it's not me." Reaching a stairwell I rushed down. The gun rattling in the coat pocket as I skipped a few steps at every level, I lost footing though as the building rattled colliding with the steel girder I winched.

"What the hell are they doing?" I groaned sitting up rubbing my mostly likely bruised side. The rumbling continued and I gripped the railing for dear life wondering if they had somehow set off an earthquake. One huge wave hit then...it stopped. I uncurled myself from the railing with a confused huff.

"Well that was new."

Coulson stood at the chopper fully expecting to see Cameron and her guards coming but when only her guards showed up Coulson sighed.
"Where is she?" One of the men winced a bruise forming on the skin of his right jaw the other nursed a dislocated shoulder. Natasha had taught her well.

"She attacked us, out of the blue—"
"You cuff her, don't hesitate." They both nodded.
"But after a mistake like this I'm not sure how forgiving Director Fury will be."
"Yes sir." Coulson watched the two as they departed full well knowing Cameron would go to some place where she could get transportation.
"Agent Hill?" He spoke calmly into the communication awaiting response.
"Yes Coulson?"
"Cameron is out again." He heard what sounded like a few choice swears before Hill came back.
"DO we know where she is?"
"Most likely finding a transport—"
"I'm in the garage."
"Good she'll most likely end up there."

"Okay...from the schematics I have...two? No wait three more floors." I let out a happy squeal as I leapt down the last flight. Pulling the gun from my pocket I unlatched the safety and slipped out. A car waited oh so prettily for me I nearly squealed again but it caught in my throat as gunshots rang out. I ducked behind some cargo and glanced out ready to fire if needed. All I saw was Hawkeye and my confusion doubled.
"Clint? What the hell?" I slipped out from my hiding spoke creeping over to the car two vehicles passed me and gunshots zinged past.
"Hey!" I jumped and turned seeing Agent Hill.
"Shit! I opened the car door, finding the keys already in the ignition I turned it. Gunning the engine as I did. Slamming the door I screeched out of the garage and behind the two others. I speed up to the highest the car would allow speeding past other cars only to realize they were shooting at someone in the back of the truck. Guy looked...off like—something from a psycho thriller film. And worse he had fire power pointing his spear at some cars in front of me a bright blue blast sparked from the end and decimated the car. I cried out taking evasive maneuvers speeding past the cars as the one flipped and blocked the road away I managed to eek my way out grinding the car's side against the wall. But stupid me didn't realize that I had now put myself in direct line of fire, I looked up grabbing the gun I had thrown into the passenger seat. His eyes met mine, the were a bright colored green and even more insane looking than his get up just as he raised the spear something...close to recognition filled his eyes. He tilted his head almost like a cat those eyes taking me in.
I know what you desire...

I nearly spun out then hearing the suave, cold voice echoing in my mind. But the contact was broken and I heard nothing more as I just pushed the car to get out of the tunnels which were falling apart around me. I gunned the engine one more time pushing it to the limits as I felt the crazy man just watching me, drinking in my confusion. The ground jolted in another wave and I almost lost control of the car again. But as luck would have it I finally I emerged outside. A chopper though was quick to halt that but it seemed like they were much more interested in the car ahead of me. So taking their lapse in judgment I sped in the opposite direction, the car wheels rolling over the uneven ground but all my mind could think of...almost a bit too gleefully. A smile spread across my lips as my grip tightened on the wheel and I set the car on cruise control.

"I'm out!"

Alright redone chapter one and Cameron is here, thank you to WinterLifeAmerica for her Betaing! Enjoy!
