Hale and Kenzi managed to slip out of the underground tunnel they were walking through to Hale's awaiting car and make a clean get away. Both still unaware that another threat loomed over the hopeful group.

Just as The Ash and his security team noticed silent alarms going off in the pod room where Nadia's body was kept. The Ash ordered his security to secure the area. As he headed to Lauren's apartment he noticed, her door slightly ajar. Pulling another part of his security team to search Lauren's apartment; he returned to his office to await for his teams findings. He was almost positive Lauren had something to do with this, and if she did he knew it was because of the unaligned succubus. He mused to himself, she wouldn't get away with this. He had trapped Nadia into gaining Lauren as his ward because she was needed for his advances if he would win this upcoming power struggle. Her fae genes were an important part of the upcoming struggles and as long as he held her as a ward he had a higher change of winning. But that damned succubus had to step in and make things harder and more complicated. "What was he going to do now?" He asked no one in particular.

Hale and Kenzi returned to the Dal with their mission accomplished, they were greeted by Aoife, Vex, and Trick who were still discussing what the next logical course of action should be. Minutes of heated discussion pasted before; they all came to the same conclusion that the sooner Bo and Lauren were bound together the better.

Back at the Light Fae compound his security team had gone through Lauren apartment and discovered things has been hastily packed and several items missing among the items missing and probably the most important item was her laptop and several books on Fae mating and genetics. At this time he received a phone call from his second security team notifying him that the security cameras were cut and they weren't able to detect and finger prints on any of the equipment. This gave The Ash everything he needed to know to confirm his suspicions. "That damn unaligned succubus wouldn't make a fool out of him again." He mumbled as he pulled out his cell phone to make a phone call. He ordered his security to start tracking down the succubus and the doctor. He would have answers one way or another.

Bo was able to get Lauren out of the bathroom and into their shared bed. Bo held Lauren again she finally asked, "Lauren, I know you said you did this for us and our family but why?" Minutes passed before Lauren answered her "Because even though I loved her deeply and it went against my every training as a doctor and my oaths. I realized she was beyond my saving. She has been for a very long time. And I think that as wrong as this may sound that she was just a guiding light on my way to you. If it hadn't been for her becoming sick and my needing to find a way to heal and help her I would have never met you, and I would have this amazing growing bean inside me." she said as she lovingly held her stomach where her and Bo's child was safely tucked safe and warm. All Bo could do is lean and lightly kiss her mate. As Lauren kissed her back Bo couldn't help but let out a moan of pleasure that Lauren that opportunity to deepen the kiss and hands found themselves in very passionate places Bo found herself pinned to the bed with a very hungry doctor on top of her urging her to feed. As Bo started to feed from Lauren her eyes flashed and turned blue triggering Lauren's eyes to flash and turn a bright color pink.

As Bo emerged upstairs an hour later all with Lauren behind her she could feel the eyes of everyone there on her. Bo surveyed the bar area making sure the first floor was safe and that everyone was okay; Kenzi, Hale, Aoife, Trick were all there. She was the first to notice Dyson wasn't there.

"Where's Dyson?" Bo asked with a eerie feeling starting to form in the pit of her stomach..

That seemed like the perfect place to stop for now.. Why yes we are going to act like this story hasn't set idle for like maybe five years... anyway don't murder me with all the grammar mistakes I've made in this chapter I haven't had it checked by a beta reader as I don't have one at the moment and this chapter was wrote and posted while I'm at work on my cell phone
