As he knows that life is about to get hectic for him the moment people find out he is married to Lucius Malfoy.
Disclaimer – I, xxxilivefortehfuturexxx, in no way own Harry Potter or any of it's characters. Those lovely books belong to one J. K. Rowling, I am only using her characters and planning on giving them back how they were. Well, most of them anyway.
Couples – Harry/Lucius, Draco/Hermione (before that it will be Ron/Hermione for 2 chapters), Severus/Remus, Blaise/Neville, Pansy/Seamus, Daphne/Dean, Theo/?
Warning – Ron and few Weasley and Gryffindor bashing! OOCness! In all characters! XD Don't like? Don't read then!
Authors note – AU because Dumbledore is alive and I changed Lucius' age to be mid 30's so Draco was born when Lucius' was in his 20's. Oh and Harry did not lose his Parseletongue ability when the Horcrux in him died, he retained it.
Update: 1/04/2015
Three, maybe four months passed since The Dark Lord Voldemort had been officially defeated by Harry James Potter. Hogwarts was also back to her former glory, seeing as nearly everyone pitched in to help Albus Dumbledore and the Professsors bring the castle back to her former glory for September 1st. There were many people who did not want to start Hogwarts again as the memories of the war were still fresh in their minds but everyone had agreed it was for the best. The fifth and seventh years were after all hit the most, having not done their OWL and NEWT exams respectively at all.
Harry James Potter was one of the people who didn't feel like starting school again but being a seventh year and almost ready to venture out into the adult world, he had to finish it.
He was currently sat alone in a compartment on the Hogwarts Express, a small smile on his lips as he looked out of the window and thought on the past few months. Since the war ended he was practically a changed man. With shoulder length raven-coloured hair, vivid emerald eyes that did not have any glasses obscuring them -he thanked Merlin for finding a Medi Witch who was capable of healing his eyes-, his body was very nicely toned from all of the Quidditch and the fighting he did, he also had a magical snake tattoo running all the way from his wrist to his shoulder, down his chest and around his hip and then there was the biggest surprise.
A golden wedding band rested upon the raven-haired male's ring finger that brought a smile to his lips. You got it, Harry James Potter was married. To someone quite surprising.
Having suddenly been pulled from his thoughts by the compartment door slamming open and two bickering voice which were raising in pitch by the second, Harry had to scowl. Just why did Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley have to argue all the time?! Weren't they a couple?
He watched the two practically argue with hidden amusement and barely contained annoyance.
"Honesty Ron!" Hermione bit out with anger, her eyes narrowed upon the ginger. "Can't you just let it go?! We're already seventh years! The war has finished!"
"Oh come on Mione!" Ron snorted as he threw himself down into the seat next to Harry. "Don't tell me you like the ferret?"
"No, I do not like him Ron but that doesn't mean I will be hostile towards him." The brunette said hotly, glaring down at her year-long boyfriend. "He has made mistakes but he had paid for them already. There is no need to be hostile towards him!"
"Please." Ron sneered. "If Harry was loosing he still would be on that bastards side."
"...You know what Ron, I am not even going to comment on that." Hermione muttered as she collapsed on the seat opposite the two males, her patience seriously wearing thin with the ginger.
"Hermione, Ron, it's nice to see you as well but do you think you could keep it down?" Harry questioned the two seventh years, rubbing his temples. "I am starting to get a head ache from you two bickering."
"Sorry mate..." Ron trailed off, his eyes widening when he saw how Harry looked. He couldn't say he looked bad because he didn't but he had to say that it was certainly a difference.
"Harry..?" Hermione questioned, not as startled as Ron to see Harry's appearance but a bit surprised at seeing a magical snake tattoo on his arm. "Is that what I think it is?" The woman questioned with a nod of her head towards Harry's arm where she could see the snake's head and part of it's body as the rest was hidden by the shirt Harry wore.
"Yes Hermione it's a magical tattoo." He said, pretty amused at her surprise of seeing the tattoo on his arm. "Is it such a surprise? And I can also talk to it."
"..." Hermione just blinked for a few times before huffing out a snort. It was really no surprise that Harry decided to be a bit of a rebel and get a magical snake tattoo.
Harry's change of appearance was forgotten the moment Hermione started telling them what she was doing over the past four months and then Ron and Harry revealed what they were doing themselves, though Harry did not reveal all of it. It was best to leave it for later. At least he wouldn't be getting in an argument with his friends until Hogwarts started.
When the train stopped, Harry was quick to wave his wand over his clothes, changing them into his school uniform before doing the same to Hermione and Ron. Then the three of them left the compartment and the train before making their way towards the carriages being joined by Neville, Luna and Ginny half-way through.
The moment he was situated in the carriage he had to stop himself from cringing when Ginny immedietly latched onto him, batting her eyes and very obviously flirting with him which made him want to gag. While Ginny was a good friend, she was certainly no girlfriend material for him. Before the carriage even started moving, he watched as Luna eyed him before flicking her eyes towards the ring on his finger and then beaming at him while mouthing 'Congratulations'
He had to breath a sigh of relief at that. At least Luna was still his friend. He was quite sure that the Lovegood daughter knew just whom he was married to as nothing really escaped the girl.
The six of them, Harry, Ron, Hermione, Ginny, Neville and Luna, made their way off the carriage and towards the castle as soon as said carriage stopped.
Harry couldn't help but breath the familiar scents of Hogwarts, his lips pulling into a wide smile that made people who saw him chuckle and shake their heads. Those who knew him had not seen him smile like that since fourth year and it was really good to see that smile
As soon as the first years had been sorted, Harry watched as a white haired man, known as Albus Dumbledore, the Headmaster of Hogwarts, stood from his boisterous chair at the head of the staff table.
"Alas!" cried said Headmaster in an obviously cheerful and loud manner, making Harry chuckle slightly at the man. Despite the war having taken a toll on the man's body he didn't seem to be less cheerful. "To our old, I say welcome back. To our new, I simply greet you in welcome. It was just a few months ago that The Dark Lord Voldemort, also known as Tom Marvollo Riddle was killed thanks to Harry Potter. This had effectively secured our win and peace, so we could carry on with our lives as normal. Yet, there are still Dark wizards out there, Death Eaters who haven't yet to be caught." There were many a whispers at this announcement, but Albus simply waved their chatter away for now least it increase in volume. "There have not been any movements from them yet, but just be warned to look out for yourselves as well as your friends." He smiled reassuringly at the students.
Harry listened to the Headmaster before startling slightly when he was poked in his ribs from Hermione, making him arch a brow at the new Head Girl.
"Harry…" The nearly eighteen year old started, her eyes narrowed upon the ring on Harry's finger. "Is that what I think it is?!"
"Yes Hermione." The wizard said, pretty amused at having caught the girl by surprise with his wedding ring. "This is a wedding band. I'll tell you all about it later, let's listen to Dumbledore." With that he turned back to face the front, effectively ending the conversation.
Hermione stared at him for a few more seconds before she too, turned to look at Dumbledore again.
"Please be reminded that the forbidden forest is just as its name states." Albus' voice continued. "Mr. Filch has asked me to remind you of the list of banned items which is located on his office door, so take a look if you wish. Also this year we are having a new course starting which the seventh and sixth years will be taking." Albus continued, ignoring the sudden whispers that stopped when the door to the Great Hall was slammed open and a blond haired wizard stood in it's entrance, his blond brow arched in a show of annoyance when hundreds of wands were pointed at him by more then three quarters of the school.
"Albus…" Lucius Malfoy drawled, his voice carrying all the way to the staff table. "Please could you tell your students to stand down... it's not a nice feeling having so many wands pointed in your face." He almost sounded petulant but only Harry and Draco Malfoy could actually hear said petulance.
"Forgive me Lucius, students, please put your wands down." Dumbledore's eyes narrowed upon the students. "He is not threat to you, he has been pardoned from his crimes by the Ministry when they found that he had been spying on the Death Eaters and Lord Voldemort for me.
Harry noted with amusement that majority of the school were hesitant to do so but they did follow the Headmaster's words. Only the Slytherin's and Harry didn't blink an eye at the blond haired male being there.
"Thank you." Lucius nodded his head as he started walking between the Ravenclaw and Gryffindor tables and towards the Staff table where he sat down next to Severus Snape.
"As I was saying, this year the sixth and seventh years will be required to take the new course." Albus continued with his speech from before. "I can see that most of you are wondering what this new course is. The Board of School Governors has decided that Hogwarts School shall start on a Political course. And because of this, Lucius Malfoy, has been asked to come and teach here." There were many cries and groans from everyone around them but Albus shot everyone a pointed glare and they all shut up. "You are all to treat Mr. Malfoy like any other teacher in this school. Any unacceptable behavior towards him will be punished, no matter how small."
Harry smirked at this as he saw Ron groan and then glare at Lucius Malfoy, whereas Hermione just raised her brow.
"Another addition to the staff this year is Remus Lupin, who just like three years ago, has joined us as the new Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher. With that, let the feast begin!" Albus sat back down in his chair and Harry turned towards his food. "Oh, I almost forgot." Albus stood up once again, making Harry chuckle softly. "Another thing I would like to say is that due to the fact that Mr Malfoy is married he and his spouse along with Draco Malfoy will be living in the Family Quarters on the second floor. I must implore you to not even think of trying to sabotage their rooms as they have been warded quiet tightly by a few Goblins from Gringotts, if anyone is found tempering with their rooms or trying to get in you will face the threat of suspension for a month."
As soon as Dumbledore sat back down the whispers started, many people trying to find out who Lucius Malfoy's spouse was seeing as he and Narcissa divorced quite awhile ago.
At the end of the feast Lucius finally decided to end everyone's misery as he rose from his seat and moved down towards the Gryffindor table, specifically towards Harry Potter. Everyone stopped what they were doing and just stared speechless at them, none of them really believing what they were actually seeing.
"Read to go Harry?" Lucius asked, outstretching his hand, wriggling his fingers with a light smile on his lips.
"Of course Lucius." Harry smiled as he took the hand and pulled himself up before pecking Lucius lips quickly, which made a few girls queals. His eyes quickly found Draco who started making his way over to the two of them.
"Let's go then, before they all get over their shock and start demanding answers." Lucius laughed as he led his husband out of the Great Hall though before they did leave Harry turned his head around and flashed a grin at everyone, chuckling low in his throat at the gob-smacked expressions on some of the students' faces. His eyes found their way towards the Staff table where he found Remus and Severus shaking their heads, although he could see the amusement in their eyes.
He didn't even spare a glance towards any of the tables, knowing that tomorrow he would be facing all of them and he was quite sure that they would all have quite a few questions.
"Some of the Gryffindors look a bit horrified and outraged. The Weasles look like they had swallowed lemons." Draco said with a soft chuckle, his hand patting Harry's shoulder when the raven-haired shook his head with a small smile.
"I expect tomorrow I will be facing the Spanish Inquisition from some of my friends." Harry laughed softly as he held onto Lucius' hand and led the two Malfoys out of the Hall and up the stairs towards the second floor where Lucius then took the lead and led them towards the portrait of four people, all dressed in wizarding robes and when Harry looked closer he noticed they were all wearing the colours of the Four Hogwarts houses.
"The Hogwarts Founders I take it?" He questioned his husband with an arched brow.
"Dumbledore found it in the Room of Requirements and thought it would be fitting to use it as our doorway." Lucius said before saying the paswords, 'Serpents Silence' before the door portrait swung open.
The three of them walked in and gaped at the place. It was beautifully furnished and Harry especially loved the fireplace and the love-seat in front of it. He slid away from Lucius' hold and looked around the quarters, his eyes wide and filled with happiness and a smile upon his lips that made the two Malfoy's chuckle before the younger Malfoy went towards his rooms and left his father and step-father to their own devices for a few minutes.
"How do you like it Harry?" Lucius questioned as he walked behind the raven-haired male, wrapping his arms around his younger husband's waist, placing his chin upon Harry's shoulder.
"I love it!" Harry beamed as he turned in the blonds arms, pressing a quick kiss to the males' cheek before calling out as he danced out of Lucius' arms. "How do you like your rooms Drake?!"
"I like it. It's nice and I love the green and silver colours, it feels just like the Slytherin dorms." Draco said, coming out from the door to his bedroom. Harry chuckled quietly at him, shaking his head.
"You love everything green and silver Drake, no matter if it reminds you of the Slytherin dorms or the Slytherin house in general."
"True." Draco nodded in a Malfoy manner, grinning slightly at Harry. Suddenly there was a knock at the door and the three of them turned around.
"Come in." Lucius called as he moved to wrap an arm around his husband, holding him close. To their surprise Remus, Severus and Hermione Granger were at the door, the former two looking apologetic while the last one was just staring at Harry with a blank expression.
"Hermione wanted to talk to you Harry, so we brought her here." Remus smiled apologetically at Harry and the raven-haired male waved the werewolf off.
"Don't worry about it Remmy." Harry chuckled softly as he pulled away from his husband and walked forward to take a hold of Hermione's hand. "I had a feeling this would. Would the four of us mind giving us some time to talk?"
"You can talk in the bedroom Harry, we'll stay here." Lucius told his husband with a soft smile.
"Thank you." Harry hummed before lightly tugging on Hermione's wrist and leading her towards his and Lucius' bedroom where he proceeded to lock and silence the room so that their conversation wouldn't be overheard, he didn't trust Remus to not use his wolf hearing to eavesdrop.
"So… What did you want to talk about?" Harry asked, sitting on the bed and patting the seat next to him, waiting for Hermione to sit down.
"How long have you two been a couple? How long have you been married? Why did you keep it a secret? Who else knows? Are you happy?" Hermione blurted out the moment she knew they couldn't be overheard, flushing slightly at her straightforwardness. Harry chuckled quietly and patted her back.
"One question at a time 'Mione." He told her, flashing her a grin. "We've been a couple for three years now, we only got married last week. I kept it a secret because I knew how some people would react. Remus, Severus, Theo Nott, Blaise Zabini, Pansy Parkinson, Fred and Geroge and Bill and Fleur known, as well as Professor Dumbledore. And I am happy Hermione, very happy." He looked at her, his emerald eyes showing nothing but the truth.
It took Hermione a few minutes to think everything through, her eyes watching the raven-haired male in front of her. She could see that he was happy, very much so if the happiness on his face and the way he held himself said anything.
"Why didn't you contact me and tell me you were together with Malf- Lucius?" Hermione questioned a bit hurt having been left out of the loop from her best friends life.
"You and Ron are together Hermione, while I know you would purposefully spill what I told you, I knew that you would have said something accidentally." Harry told her as he took a hold of her hand, squeezing it softly. "I know how much you don't like not knowing something about me but I just couldn't tell you in case Ron found out. I wanted a peaceful summer."
Hermione made a sound of agreement from the back of her throat. She knew just how badly Ron would react to the news of Harry being together with Lucius.
"Still… I wished you could've at least told me you were together with him…" Hermione pouted at Harry, tears welling up in her hazel eyes that led Harry to chuckling softly.
"I know Hermione but I couldn't risk someone intercepting my mail to you and finding out about my marriage to Lucius." He informed his friend with a small laugh. "I at least wanted a few months free from worry before all of this."
"Well... I suppose I can forgive you." The brunette woman sighed with a small smile which quickly dropped from her face as she looked at her friend critically.
"Yes?" Harry asked, tilting his head to the side slightly, a grin on his face. Hermione snorted in amusement at him before shaking her head.
"Yeah… You are happy…" She sighed heavily, shaking her head.
For a few minutes there was just silence between them before Harry decided to break it.
"How… did everyone else act in Gryffindor?" He worried his lower lip with his teeth, watching Hermione out of the corner of his eye.
"Neville, Dean, Seamus, Parvati and I of course support you wholeheartedly, Ginny Ron and a few seventh and sixth years are livid with you while the rest of Gryffindor decided to not care. It's your life, not theirs." Hermione smiled at him. "And I know that at least Ravenclaw fully supports you. They actually seemed to be pretty happy for you... Though I am worried Harry... Ron and Ginny will not take this lying down and you know that. You should watch yourself."
"I know Hermione but you don't need to worry. I doubt that they could anything worse then Voldemort did to me." He snorted, rolling his eyes. "I doubt that they even had the guts to do anything. I love them like my own siblings but I knew when I decided to pursue a relationship with Lucius I would lose a few of the Weasley."
After that the two of them spoke for a few more minutes before Harry lowered the charms and walked out with Hermione, smiling softly.
"Everything sorted out I see." Lucius said the moment he saw the two Gryffindors.
"Yes, everything is sorted though Hermione is still mad at me for not inviting her to our wedding." Harry laughed when the bruentte slapped his arm as she walked towards the door.
"Well, I have to go. I'll see you tomorrow Harry." Hermione smiled at her friend and brother in all but blood before she opened the portrait and walked out though she didn't get very far before Harry was grabbing onto her wrist again.
"Wait..." Harry smiled at her. "Meet us here tomorrow morning? We'll walk down to the Great Hall together... You can even bring Neville, Seamus, Dean and Parvati."
"Got it." Hermione called as she grinned at her friend, running through the halls and up the stairs.
Harry shook his head in amusement, a small chuckle leaving his lips as he walked back into the room, shutting the portrait door behind him before he walked towards where Lucius, Draco, Remus and Severus were.
"Everything alright?" Lucius questioned as Harry sat down beside him, curling his legs beneath him and resting his head on Lucius' shoulder.
"Yeah, everything's fine. I just asked her to meet us here tomorrow morning." Harry hummed softly. "She'll bring Neville, Seam, Dean and Parvati as well."
"What did the two of you talk about?" Remus questioned. "You put silencing charms so I couldn't listen." This actually made the werewolf pout which led to Severus patting his lovers' shoulder in sympathy.
"Nothing much really." Harry said with a grin. "She just wanted to know since when were Lucius and I in a relationship, how many people knew and all that. Though she did tell me there might be trouble with some of the Gryffindors."
"I'll ask the Slytherins to keep an eye on anyone who they might think will be trouble for you." Draco reassured his friend with a soft smile upon his lips. "There's no need to worry about them."
"I'm not worrying about them Draco, they can't really do anything to me without getting punished for it." Harry snorted. "I doubt that they will be able to catch me off guard."
"Even so, you mustn't underestimate them Harry." Severus chided the raven-haired male.
"I know Sev, I just wish that I won't have to look over my shoulder every day this school year." Harry muttered softly. "I just want to enjoy a stress free school year." He had no idea just how stressful the first term would get, much less the school year.
The five of them kept talking for another hour or so before they decided to cal it a night.
"We're all tired so I think it's time for all of us to head to bed." Lucius said, pretty amused when he saw that Harry, Draco and Remus were practically falling asleep in their places.
"Agreed." Severus laughed softly as he nudged his lover with his shoulder, standing up and pulling the werewolf with him.
"Good night Lucius, Harry, Draco." The raven-haired male said before the two of them walked out of the room, making sure to close the door behind them.
"Alright you two!" Lucius clapped his hands, startling both his son and husband into wakefulness though said husband was quick to fall back asleep. "Off to bed Draco."
"Night dad, night 'Ry." The blond slurred as he stumbled into his bedroom, closing his door behind him and leaving Lucius to deal with Harry.
"..." Lucius sighed, shaking his head fondly as he picked Harry up and carried him to their bedroom, closing their door with the back of his foot, smiling when it instantly locked thanks to a house-elf who was clearing up the living room for them.
Lucius placed his young husband on the bed before waving his wand over the raven-haired teen, vanishing the clothes from his body and then pulling some silk pajama pants onto the seventh year before he himself got changed into pajama pants and then fell into bed, waving his wand to dim the lights before pulling his husband close to him and then the covers over the two off them, easily falling into a peaceful slumber.
A/N: Alright, so this is my revised chapter... The second one will be up tomorrow or the day after that.
