"I just need to be alone for a second." Clary said as a worried Luke and Magnus looked on.

"Ah, she can be quite the drama queen" Magnus thought to himself amusingly. But then again, wasn't he a drama king when he was her age anyway?

"She didn't handle that well." Luke muttered darkly. Magnus chuckled. Luke faced him, a dark look in his eye. "What made that so funny?"

Magnus grinned and he finally stifled his laughter. "She was a 15 year old normal girl that was thrust into this dark invisible world. I think she has handled herself well. Considering all the revelations: her father an evil villain, learning the truth about who you and her mother truly was, her best friend turning into both a rat and a vampire all within one year... I think you don't give her enough credit."

Luke sighed. "yes, I suppose that I don't. I still see Clary as this little girl that needs protection: the girl that I pushed on the swing, the girl I read bed time stories to. She grew up quick."

magnus gave a nod of understanding, even if he could not fully comprehend the love of a father. Or a make-shift father, in Luke's case.

Magnus felt a slight shift a power. Even though it could be anything his mind went to Clary's powerful runes. Then he realized: She wasn't a drama queen, she is a con. A very, very excellent con, just like her father. He was wondering when Valentine will start showing up in her. He considered letting her just go, without warning Luke, but he realized that he was really fond of the girl. Even though she ignored his warning. But then again, she may not have grasped what he truly meant.

"Luke, do you think Clary could create a rune for a portal?"

Luke turned white, and ran towards the direction Clary went. With a slight hesitation, he followed, even though it truly was none of his business. But hey, curiosity killed the cat, not the warlock. By the time Magnus came, they were already zooming through the portal door, a really well-created door might he add. He sighed and shook his head.

"As long as they have each other, they will be just fine" He mused.

He began to take measures to hide the portal door. He began to chuckle to himself.

"Jace is not going to like this." He knew the truth on why she was left behind, he could see the love in both of their eyes that Clary and Jace have for each other. And not the sibling kind, either. He began to wonder if Clary could handle Jace if they were together. He shook his head, mentally hitting his head. Of course she would have no problem; its jace that will be the one that couldn't handle her.

He began to think of the ship. Jace was not the hero, Clary was. Magnus always imagined that it would be Jace that would finally stop Valentine. But now, with this new character that has sprung into action, he realized that it would be the inexperienced girl that will take Valentine down.

He looked at his handy work, and nodded in satisfaction as he could no longer see the door at all. He smiled, with the thought of Clary in his mind. Magnus wished Jace luck. For one time in his life, he will come up against something he can't handle. Yes, they can't handle her.
