Hello.. So excited that I should be done with the story in the next two months!

I race away from the open window and burst into my father's office. He looks up startled, "Yes Kathryn?"

"Look! All O's! Oh I'm so happy! I need to go apply for the healer training program NOW!" I wave the paper in his face and then sprint up to my room. I sit down at the desk feeling almost jittery, and look through the drawer for the application I took when I went for my NEWT exam.

I can't focus on the paper, but decide since it is only 3 that I can go tell Ella. Kevin won't be back from practice till 5. It's almost weird that I have to apparate over. I had gotten used to living there. But once dad said he was staying home from work more, I decided to go home with him. He's making an effort to work from the home office more, and we have dinner together every night. It's a really nice change.

I grab my wand, and apparate. "ELLAAAAAAAA!" I call from the family room. It's the only place I can apparate to in the house, but the wards should have notified her that I was here.

Within a minute Ella comes running into the room holding Vinny out of breath, "What's the matter?!" I hold up the paper so she can see. I can't get the smile off my face. She beams at me, "Oh Katie! Congratulations! This calls for a celebration! I have some ice cream in the freezer!"

We are still talking and catching up at the table while Vinny plays on the floor when Kevin arrived home from work. "Hey Kate! It's good to see you here when I get back. Excited for the game this weekend? I was lucky to get enough tickets."

"What tickets?"

Ella looks awkwardly at Kevin, "I forgot to tell her."

"WHAT? How could you forget! This is the biggest game of my career, and I had to fight Bryan to get one for Katie. Coach has been skimpy with family tickets since we are selling out. You told me you would tell her today if you saw her," Kevin looks perplexed until his eyes fall on the paper on the table. His mood shifts in an instant, and he storms out of the room.

I glance at Ella and hurry after him, "Kevin, thanks for getting me the tickets. I'm excited to go, but why is it such a big game? Just because the media thinks McDougal is the best center chase in the league and you want to prove them wrong?"

"It's not important. I'm going to shower," he mutters angrily.

I stop and cross my arms, "Kevin Michael, stop RIGHT there."

He stops mid stride and turns around to glare at me, "Let me guess. All O's."

I gasp, "You say that like it's terrible. This is the most exciting thing that has ever happened to me! How dare you act so mad and pout over something I worked so hard for! I didn't freak out when you made Puddlemere's team, and people DIE playing qudditich."

I turn on the spot and apparate home fuming. I stomp down into the kitchen and begin making dinner. Kevin is so selfish. Why can't he just be happy for me? Working at St. Mungo's is the safest place to work! I finish preparing the lasagna in record time, and put it in the oven. Just as I'm walking up the stairs, I hear a floo arrival. "Katie?" calls Kevin's voice tentatively.

I make a split second decision to apparate to Grandmum's. I need to tell her the news, and can eat there. I send a patronus to father to tell him to get the lasagna out of the oven in 30 minutes. Ha Kevin will never follow me here, so I've successfully avoided him. For now.

...

Saturday morning I decide to wear Oliver's jersey especially since I'm still avoiding Kevin. I know I will see him today, but this last little defiance makes me happy. I put a black long sleeve tshirt under the jersey for warmth, and decide to wear my skinny jeans and black boots. I pick up my Puddlemere gloves, earmuffs, and scarf before I apparate to meet up with Ella an hour before we need to leave for the game.

Vinny and Ella are all dressed in Puddlemere gear as well. He looks so cute in his tiny puddlemere sweater and gear! We couldn't help but take a couple pictures of him before we left. Or 50.. He's so adorable.

All too soon we are up in the players' family box anxiously watching the game. It seems crowded today more so than usual, maybe because it's still considered holiday break. There are lots of people who I do not recognize, but assume are siblings, significant others, and parents of the players.

The game was intense, at least on the chasing end. Kevin and McDougal were brutal, and pulling out all the stops. The chasers were all playing an excellent game. Unfortunately for the Arrows, so was Oliver. He was playing amazingly, and hardly letting anything get passed him!

It was nearly 2 and a half hours of grueling play before the snitch was caught by Puddlemere's seeker Benjy Williams. The final score was 70 to 260 which didn't appear reflex the intense chase game on the field. Ella and I were busy celebrating with Vinny, and didn't notice Kevin burst into the room still in his uniform. Luckily I was holding Vinny because suddenly Kevin swept Ella into his arms and was kissing her passionately. He pulled back and was murmuring to her for a couple moments before he turned to me with a smile. "I can see by your jersey that I'm not quite forgiven, but I'm glad you made it to the game today!"

I smile with a shrug not wanting to ruin his celebration. I hold out Vinny who was straining to get to his dad. Kevin takes him and cuddles him close as Vinny claps his hands and then grabs Kevin's windblown hair. "Thanks buddy. I'm glad you enjoyed the game. I promise to teach you how to play as soon as your mum allows it!"

Jocelind Wadcock rambles into the room still in uniform as well, "Bell, get back to the locker room, so coach can do his debriefing. We all want to get up here, but you were the only one who could sneak away." He winks at his girlfriend before he hurries back out of the room.

Kevin sighs and hands Vinny back to me. He gives Ella a quick kiss before he hurries out of the room as well.

Ella looks over at me happily with a flush on her face. She clears her throat awkwardly and reaches for Vinny. "So I was thinking that we need to do lunch together every day until you start healer training next month. Now that we only see you a couple days a week, we need to see you as much as we can before you start training and get too busy for us." I can tell she's trying to change the subject away from Kevin.

I laugh, "I haven't heard back yet!"

She rolls her eyes, "But we both know you will get in. And just so you know, I'm not taking no for an answer. My baby boy misses his Auntie Katie."

"I guess I can make room in my busy schedule for you. Oh wait, since I'm still recovering, I'm not allowed to do hardly anything." I sigh in frustration.

"I'm sorry Katie. Hopefully soon you will be able to fly again."

"Yeah right. I've had to deal with Kevin's protectiveness my whole life. I know better. I probably won't fly again for years.

Sometime later the players enter the box, and all of the family/fans crowd around them near the entrance. Ella and I hang back as they are all congratulated. I try to keep my eyes away from Oliver, but they automatically drift back to him if I am not actively telling myself not to. He's freshly showered with his hair swept back, and is wearing Puddlemere attire. I don't know if he has ever looked more attractive.

Cal breaks away, and appears to be talking to his parents. Woodcock is making out with his girlfriend. Bryan is talking with his little brothers about the game, but Benji, Kevin, Oliver, and Henry are all caught up in the crowd of fans and press in the box.

After a while Cal brings his parents over to introduce us all. They seem nice enough, and we all fall into a friendly conversation until Kevin comes over. Then the topic of McDougal comes up and the atmosphere gets tense. Apparently Mr Bonner is an avid Arrows fan. How he can admit that with his son on Puddlemere, I will never know. Ella is trying to keep Kevin as calm as she can to Mr Bonner's remarks.

I am startled as an arm wraps around me and pulls me against a hard chest, "Well gentlemen, looks like the question is answered. Kates has finally let us all know who her favorite Puddlemere player is. Not that I thought any of you ever had a chance, but least you all know now."

Oliver smiles down at me and I beam back, "You had a great game today Oliver."

"Now wait a second Woodie. I don't think she has one of my jerseys, so it's not a fair contest." Cal protests.

"Yeah. She's mad at me right now, but I'm usually her favorite." Kevin also puts in.

Oliver shakes his head, "Sorry guys. I know it's a tough loss, but you'll see I'm right eventually. It's too bad because I think she brought me good luck by wearing it." He turns towards me and lowers his voice. "So when does healer training start? Timmy told me your NEWT scores, not that I was surprised or anything. Congratulations."

I smile, "Thank you. I haven't heard back yet, but it would start the second week of February."

He frowns, "Of course you'll get it."

"I hope so. I should hear back this week! I'm pretty nervous about it." I glance back to see if anyone is listening, but they all fell into their own conversations.

"Well I'm positive that you have nothing to worry about. How bad was Kevin's reaction though?" He asks sympathetically.

"Pretty bad. He acts like leaving the house is too dangerous for me. I miss flying so much."

He glances over at Kevin with a serious look on his face, "Yeah I'm sure it's hard for him. Seeing you in the hospital last fall was difficult on everyone. If your healers discharged you and say your strong enough, hopefully Kevin will see that soon enough."

I feel a pang of guilt. I hadn't thought about that. What seemed like a nap was months of worry for Kevin. "Yeah, but enough about me. I couldn't help but to read about your break up. How have you been?"

Oliver looked surprised, but then smiled, "I would hope I'm fine considering the fact that it wasn't a real relationship. Timmy said you two talked about it. I had thought you knew it was for work."

I shake my head, "If you did a lot of stuff together before, you could still miss her."

Oliver looks a little awkward, "I guess."

"How did that get started anyways?" I ask nonchalantly.

He sighs, "We had one rookie photo shoot together, and the media went crazy. After that it was all media related, but the owner liked what it was doing for the ticket numbers. He backed the rumors. My opinion wasn't considered."

"Oh, I'm sure it wasn't so bad. I don't think he would admit it, but I think Bryan was jealous of you." I smirk at him, but Oliver only looks a little embarrassed and unsure how to respond. "I'm being serious! Him and Cal were talking about how good looking she is, and it got you noticed by all the lady qudditich fans. The handsome rookie. Didn't I tell you that your jersey would be the number one seller?"

Oliver smirks at me, "Handsome rookie huh? Better not let Kevin hear you say that. Wouldn't want to have to watch my back 24/7."

I laugh and try not to blush, "Don't worry. You'll be safe. I'll just tell him I was quoting Witches Weekly to embarrass you."

Oliver smiled, "You can say that, but we both know that you find me devilishly good looking now that I'm a famous qudditich keeper."

"I always thought-" I only get half of my sarcastic response when suddenly Bryan and his 4 younger brothers are surrounding us and shooting questions at Oliver. Looks like they are Puddlemere fans, and are impressed with the star keeper. I turn away and take Vinny from Ella. He's starting to get fussy, because it's time for his afternoon nap. "I'll see you two at your house later. Have a little fun celebrating with the team. I can babysit."

"Are you sure?" Ella looks anxious as I begin to walk away to the family apparition point.

"He'll be fine El. I want to take my beautiful wife out on a date with me after a very important game," Kevin smiled at her. He gave me a look of thanks and started to pull Ella towards the team members talking about plans for the evening. I held Vinny close as I made my way out of the box. As I was leaving I caught eyes with Oliver as he was talking with the boys. I waved goodbye and hurried down the hall. It's not too crowded, but I'll be glad to be back at Kevin's safe and warm.

...

Two days later I got my acceptance letter into the healer program at Saint Mungos. The next 6 months are a flurry of hours training at the hospital, studying, brewing, and what little free time I have I spend with my family. Since, I have to spend so many hours training, I don't see Kevin, Ella, and Vinny as much as I would like, but I see them about twice a week. My dad and I have become very close just the two of us at home. We are still eating together as much as our work schedules will allow, and I haven't spent this much time with him since mum died.

My work schedule is crazy, but I've enjoyed the work. I've progressed so much as a healer it's amazing. The patients, and other healers make my long days go by quickly. I've made a couple of friends at work, but we are all so busy we never see each other outside of St. Mungos. My days are so busy I fall into a routine and before I know it, summer has begun.

My best friends and I are laying by the pool to kick off the summer, talking just like old times was so nice. The many letters we exchanged over the school year were nice, but not nearly enough. I've missed them!

Angelina has been venting for the last half hour about her job in the ministry. I will admit I hate the fact that our jobs keep us from getting together, but she knew she was getting into a boring job when she applied!

Alicia is now telling us all about the end of the year with that terrible woman Umbridge. The stories that happened at Hogwarts are alarming, and makes me happy I graduated last year. Poor Alicia, but at least she had DA with Harry to get her through the year. I can't believe how much Harry has grown. It seems like only yesterday he was walking scared into the locker room with Oliver as a first year.

The most interesting new information she's telling us is how the twins left Hogwarts! Of course they leave with style, and put a swap as a souvenir. I'm kind of sad I missed the show, but am proud of the twins for sticking up to that tyrant!

"What else is new at Hogwarts?" I can't hold back my interest.

"I still can't believe Harry is old enough to be Gryffindor's Captain?! It's seems like just yesterday he was a first year, and now he's starting his 6th year!"

"Oh! That reminds me! Harry was at the ministry when Malfoy was arrested." Alicia bragged. She loves knowing all the gossip.

"WHAT?! That wasn't in the paper!" Ang yells.

Alicia carries on about all the rumors she heard at school, and I listen with rapt attention. All of these rumors are backing what my Grandparents have been saying for the last year. The wizarding world in changing. Poor Draco will never live down his father's misdeeds.

"So Katie, we've heard about healer training, and how big Vinny is getting. How is your Grandmum?" Alicia asks.

I groan, "You know exactly what I'm going to say. She's always asking if I am courting someone. Lately I have heard numerous lectures on the topic of how its not THAT important that I have a job. A good pureblood wife has her hands full running the manor, and I am so qualified for that."

They laugh as they always do when it comes to my grandma. "Any update on Oliver? At the ball it looked very promising." Alicia smirked at Ang.

"I don't know what you're talking about. We see each other once in a while at qudditich stuff, but you know how busy Kevin is with work. Oliver is just s busy, and I have work too.. We do send an occasional owl though." I almost wish I didn't add that afterthought as I see their eyes light-up. I guess they will never give up on Oliver and I getting together...

PLEASE REVIEW! I need feedback! Was I too vague?
